Ginger, we don't take any paper. I didn't know about the plant swap But I wouldn't have had anything to trade then anyway. I have some seedlings now that some sure need to be planted..maybe next week. I would like to have met you & the rest... Maybe someday.

I know how you can fool them: plant some plain MG's and go to Wallyworld and get some "fake" flowers, the biggest ones you can find, tie them on the vines and they will dig those up:-)
Did I hear you say "lab"? Hee hee, mad scientist here if you need help in the lab!!! I have all kinds of growth hormones and love to "experiment". Oh well, guess I better stay out of this or they will get me for "fraternizing" with the contestants!!

My prize will be for the girl least likely to have won but she did anyway, since I haven't planted MG for 30 years unless you count the little wild one from La.

I planted several MG seeds last year.. only 1 came up LATE in the fall. I didn't even know it till I looked out one morning & across from the drive way was this BIG beautiful blue bloom. It had about 3 blooms before the frost got it. That's why I want to plant MANY this year & do better with them.. I HOPE.

Rebecca, we were just talking about the container gardening contest, and that one is just going to award ribbons. You might consider that here, no need to have prizes that you have to provide and then mail out. This is supposed to be for fun, and it should be for you too, not a burden.

Aimee as a matter of fact I have a couple of "beans" that I got from my cousin that she calls "Jack and the Beanstalk" seeds. Anybody heard of this? will have to post pictures when it grows.

Rebecca - thanks, the trip home was a little rough but was ok after a couple of days. Guess that will teach me to try to "borrow" a cutting fromthe neighbors bushes.

I soaked my seeds last night and they all sprouted now I've got them planted into BIG POTS so I can underplant them with some lovely annuals and herbs. i'm going to grow them on the deck with my kitchen garden...
