I don't like the changes here on DG, but hey, I say I am OLD and don't like change! LOL I have been unable to Dmail admin to talk to them about the scammers and to figure out to claim my prize from the "Fair" we had months ago.

We've both been ordered stuff like crazy so deliveries come at least daily. I ordered some solar lights and some lighted house numbers. The numbering system on this blocks is CRAZY and numbers very difficult to see. I hope to lessen some of that difficulty at least at our house.

It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to find you all again. When i click on home it takes me to the recycling page from years ago.

Far too much to get on DG

It hasn’t stopped snowing, My body is saying enough, pain so strong in shoulder/arm that the sweat just rolls down my forehead.just came in so will go out 2:30-3:00 , looked at radar, not going to stop. For rest of the day so might as well take a hot bath & nap.

yeah, it takes me to Guides right off, so I click on Community, then Discussion forums. I went to their Update thread & said that they know what it was like & want it that way, but I'm not bothering doing that again. When I DMail, I only send to Melody.
I'm ok with change, but this is stupid. I wish I could go to Community or Discussion Forums as my Home page, not Guides. I NEVER go to Guides.

Senior's Christmas dinner & party tonight. I THINK I have everything under control. My friend (Dianne) is the Treasurer, and she was throwing up yesterday & didn't come to Games Night last night. Hope she's feeling better today. If not, I'll pick up the quilt that we're raffling for Wellness.
I feel like making a snowman in my front yard LOL Yup, think I will - either tomorrow after the Camping luncheon in Red Deer, or Monday afternoon :) I think it's snowman snow LOL

On my desktop computer at home I was able to create a "bookmark" to open on the forums, but, it's a PITA from my phone. Who comes up with these changes??

HATE PITAs!! This change is certainly that. I have a bookmark too, & it keeps me logged in, but directs me to Guides.

I know that I'm WAY early looking for this, but for next Hallowe'en I know the type of costume I'd like - I have the fabric for it. We'll be having our annual Hallowe'en party in the Community Centre & I'd like to wear an Elizabethan/medieval woman's dress. This is what I'm looking for - does JoAnne's have sewing patterns? Michael's doesn't. I have the material, etc, but cannot find places anymore that sell sewing patterns (unless they're for babies & small children). Doesn't anyone make their own clothing nowadays?

You might try ebay. New patterns are so expensive.

Yeah $50 Cdn (red) for this, from ebay! and the black one for $41 from ebay. For a pattern?? I'm going to wait until the weather improves & go to the city to buy a pattern. I have time.
Dianne came to drive us to the Camping With New Friends Christmas luncheon in Red Deer & didn't want to go because we had freezing rain overnight. I'm disappointed but she didn't want me to drive either. So, I'll stay home & work on Michelle & Lonnie's quilt.

Cheaper to get directly from Simplicity pattern site. I'm posting on the local Buy & Sell sites around me. Maybe someone has a used pattern.

Betty, I wish there was an easy answer that did not involve pain for you to keep yourself from being snowed in. I truly count my blessings that we don't get all the snow you do and I do have teens I can hire.

Susan, McCalls, Simplicity are both carried by JoAnn's and Walmart has some. JoA n's ALWAYS has a sale on ONE brand of pattern, that rotates which one. When on sale, they are only about $2. What size do you wear? I can keep my eyes open for a sale and send it out to you with the next group of quilt blocks.
Our pets crack me up. They love for me to make a chef salad and beg thru the whole process. Hard boiled egg, sliced meat, feta cheese, Colby cheese OH YES PLEASE!! They beg so convincingly that I can't not share with them while I assemble our meals. They don't get food from the table while we eat but they sure score before and after.

Trouble is, with the postal strike on, it can't be shipped to me by you or Simplicity. Cost of pattern is $5, and cost of shipping is $15 lol I'll wait until I can get into a major city. btw - our WalMart doesn't carry patterns anymore and we don't have a JoAnn's here. FabricLand in Calgary closed and I was going to go to Red Deer today & check them out, but Dianne was nervous about driving to the Christmas luncheon, so we didn't go.

Here's my "snowman". It's only about 1 1/2 ft tall, because it's powder, not sticky at all. I poured water on it, in stages, to hold it together lol It's been a long time since I've made any snowman at all
