Betty how do you feel this morning? For some reason I thought you were having all of the kids at one time so was happy to see you had classes. There is something about some of the kids today - they get all gung ho about doing something then their interest fizzles out

You are not alone about finding things more difficult to do as we age. I find it takes me a lot longer to do tasks - like cleaning up the TH's yard. When I do the wood or another outside chore I can work at it for about another than need to stop for a bit.

Yesterday I laid down on the 2 seater leather sofa in front of the wood stove for the very first time. I've only had it 3 years lol. Anyway I fell fast asleep , had a nap and it turns out it gives my back excellent support so I have found another alternative to sleep when my back acts up. That's a lot better than the floor.

Oh Karen I hope you and Walt are on the mend today.

Yes Dianne, i had 3 classes in same day..last night there were 13 and 3 mothers stayed to help..then this morning i sold out of all the kits i had left plus 2 that want classes for handicap groups..have to think this one out.

My body, especially bottom back is a hurting like the dickens.
Cleaned craft room, made kits and now I’m off to Foodland for kitty otter then will rest until the 2 littles ones get here at 3:30

Wow, had a lot of mothers wanting to start their kids in sewing..wish the kids had a program in school for them.

Thought i was entertaining myself but think it could work into a full time job..it is helping financially as everything is going up.

No, i called last week every day a2-3 times a day..says due to illness of receptionist nobody to make booking..same today, they are off tomorrow message says so who knows when I’ll get it.just as glad it now after yesterdays big workshop as i can lay and rest after injection like i should.

Two young students just left, I’m boiling kettle for hot chocolate and enough to go 8n hot water bottle.

I sold all my left over kits and could have sold more.

My housekeeper was here today and my home is back in order. Sheets are changed and everything smells nice and fresh. I actually sleep all night last night. First time in over a week. Cough has stopped as sinus drainage has stopped. My sister gets here tomorrow from California for a week. Her daughter is flying in from Dallas to join us.

Betty, sounds like you had a nice time. I am so pleased those mothers stuck around to help. Those children will remember this for many many years.

Morning, haven’t looked at weather channel , looks dreary but that is ok, each day without snow makes winter shorter.

Sharon, glad you are feeling better for your sisters visit. When i lived on the lake there was nothing nicer than having the house cleaned once a week, house always looked neat and clean but its the hidden areas and places i didn’t enjoy doing.

Still fighting that sore throat, meds seem to be keeping it at bay.

Have the kayak on coffee table and the black patina, will work on it till June and Oat get gophers at nine, I’ll have an afternoon nap and be ready for sewing class at 4

Help with the doll clothes from an unlikely source!!! My Bishop & his wife & sons. They are threading the elastic thru & trimming off the excess threads. Have I mentioned how often I have hired these young men to work for me? They are such sweet hardworking kids!
Gabe is now 12 and I have been hiring him to help me with yard work since he was 8! (He's on the floor with the scissors.) Carson 16 (wearing plaid) is threading the elastic in skirts. I think he started mowing the lawn for me at least 5 years ago. Palmer is 7 (threading elastic thru the jean pants sitting on couch).
Having hard working kids to hire is such a blessing. No, they were not hired to help with the doll clothes, just providing some service. Their Mom sent me the pics.

Oh Pat what a blessing those 3 boys are. All too often we hear about kids who have done something wrong. It's good to read about some positive young people.

I've taken it very easy the last couple of days - I didn't even walk the boys today. I have a big outing on Saturday and want to be up to it.

Betty you keep yourself on that couch. It's time for you to take care of you. I know it's hard to do because you are so giving of your time and talent.

We've had a major theft here on the lane. We are all in shock. The last time there was a robbery on the lane was in the 80's and we all knew who took the guns. The cottage owner's teen son and friends. Someone came in during the day and stole 2 snowmobiles out of a locked shed and took them away on the owner's trailer. I live nowhere near where this happened - I'm almost a mile from that house. With the TH announcing anyone who comes close to the house we don't get many stray vehicles or people on foot.

Morning, haven’t eaten since Tuesday night so cooking chicken noodle soup..I imagine that is a sign of feeling better..drats with all that coughing I had to wash my bedding..guess you know why.. shaking my head…

If i am up to it tomorrow afternoon I’ll drop in, there are 3 doctors in same complex so i will drop in, hopefully their receptionists will be in and might have info..just incase I will bring the vial with me.
