I wish I were right above Washington State. Bellingham is there, and I know a lot of Canadians would go there for shopping, once upon a time. Not sure if that's the case now though. Southern BC is lovely this time of year, I hear.
Betty - how are your legs now? I'll bet you were frightened when you couldn't move, no phone nearby & no one there! You really need some kind of lifeline, even if you can't wear one around your neck. I worry about you, as does everyone else here, I know.
Well, today was our Open House at our senior's centre, and with our MP coming, it was lovely. Unfortunately we had a poor attendance with the residents. Only 9 of us showed up, and only one wasn't a regular. He just moved into the area 9 days ago, and isn't quite a senior, but is a very nice fellow.
Our MP, Damien, was very personable, and we had a lovely chat with him. He said he could only stay 1/2 hour, but ended up staying an hour :)
A poor showing, but we got a picture with him and we seniors, and I will keep trying to get the people of our hamlet to sit up & take notice. It may take quite awhile, but I'm up to the challenge.
