Isn’t that what they say, a finished quilt is far better done than 100% perfect and sitting in a box because we are unhappy with them.
Lindakay sent me a message, for some reason she can’t get on DG
She is tired, Todd had some liquid eats today and kept it down, if he can keep down solids tomorrow he just might get to go home Friday or Saturday..here is hoping..
She is at the hospital from early when the rooster crows til night8me, has a bath and sleep then back to the hospital..will be 2 weeks i believe Friday he has been there..
Sure needs her own bed.
Doctor just called, said i have a virus which is going around, told me to go to pharmacy and he would recommend something..told him I’ve been through neocitron, 2 bottles of cough syrup, on my 3rd, worse of them all and tablets for cold/phlegm and it’s not working..can barely breathe ribs are so sore from coughing..finally he said he would send cough suppressant script to pharmacy in town.. i will be there at 9am
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?? Garden time, let’s sit and enjoy our gardens, decks and great company..all welcome!!
I went to HD to get spot dandelion killer for the rental the grandchildren are moving into and sent $146. I am so bad. I stopped by the property on the way home and the lawn is starting to look like a lawn. Amazing what a little bit of water and fertilizer will do. Had the patio cover removed. It is just about 30 years old. There are three large trees and even with being trimmed, the patio is in shade the majority of the day.
Betty coughing up phlegm does not sound good. Could be sinus infection or lung. But I am not a doctor. But I think the majority of us on this thread are smarter than the doctors. I saw your heron on FB and it is delightful. I am sitting in my bedroom and going to garden about 6:30. Sun is behind the mountain and not quite as hot. 102 today but in the shade, it is OK.
Karen, I am so pleased you are getting to see some of the old friends. I sure miss the old Dave's Garden. Had so many friends that are gone from here and some from life itself.
When Vern was in rehab the last time he was headed into "the" tunnel from which they never return. When they called they threatened to turn me into Medicare and I so do it. I would love to tell them the state I found my husband in and that it took you over 4 hours to determine he was gone. His daughter turned me into the state for elder abuse bu when they came to the house, they said if this was abuse, they wanted to be abused. Long long time ago. Vern lived 3.5 years after coming home and he has now been gone 3 years last month.
I am with you girls on the dying part. I loved the way your friend died in the chair under the tree. Like a Hallmark Movie. My sister watches Hallmark movies. I joke with her about them all of the time.
I am glad you already watched Lincoln Lawyer. I usually like British stories. Lincoln Lawyer was just good watching.
We had a wonderful time in Pigeon Forge today. Lots of laughing and stories. Angie and I were remembering the fun with the quilt block swaps. They were such fun, until they weren't.
With a breaking heart I have to tell you I had to have Kai put down on Monday. I posted on the HWYD thread on FB but then realized not all of you follow that. He bit me for the last time. Kai was the sweetest boy you could ever want but without any warning his whole face would change and he would bite. I just couldn't trust him and he had started to really show aggression with Chaos. I've cried and cried and cried some more. No wonder my headache won't let up. You have to wait 10 days after the bite before the animal can be put down. We have a shortage of vets in this area and it ended up being almost 3 weeks before I could get an appointment. I called today to get Chaos' booster for Lyme and the earliest date was June 20 and she was squeezing me in. He's started his monthly Nextgard so he is somewhat covered. The ticks are plentiful this year.
Happy to see you post Sharon.
Oh Karen when you get together with friends you haven't seen for awhile once you start to talk it is just like you were talking last week isn't it?
Oh LK you must be exhausted both physically and emotionally. The last few days Warren was in a room that had a cot and a shower. Not that I slept much but at least I was there. Sending positive thoughts that Todd will continue to improve enough to go home sooner than later.
Stay well everyone.
Dianne, I am so sorry to hear of your difficult decision to put Kai down. Although you know it's the right decision, it does NOT make it easy. I will remember you in my Prayers for comfort during your grieving.
Dianne - so sorry about Kai - I know your heart is breaking about this.
Betty - I'm glad your Dr is taking good care of you. You do the same, please.
Hopefully LK will be able to get onto DG soon. Also, hopefully Todd will be home where he'll be more comfortable & she won't have to be driving back & forth.
Meant to say, I enjoyed Lincoln Lawyer too. Frustrating that Netflix said there was more on another website, but when I went there, all they had were Trailers no full episodes.
Morning, rained hard all night, overcast this morning, one would need a jacket if working outside this morning.
Starting with prayers for Todd and Lindakay, hope Todd is able to keep down solids today.
Reading your post Dianne just made me ill, know that losing a Kai is like losing one of your children. You would have weighed the pros and cons a zillion times I am sure before you made the decision. Kaos must be missing him terribly. Not a wonder you’ve been fighting headaches..hugs.
There is a shortage of vets here as well, don’t know of anyone taking on new furries.between our health system (lack of doctors) and no even though there are many vet facilities they can’t handle number of animals.
Karen glad you had a great day, was there anyone there i might have known? Didyou stop at a fabric shop?
How many episodes did you watch of the series Susan
Have to go back into the post to find author’s name I believe Pat mentioned..will get Library to bring it in
Drats, was at pharmacy at 9:15am only to be told the meds the after hours doc wrote is no longer made
He will now try and reach the doctor for something different. Grrr
Was nice seeing the young man who does my fall and spring cleanup, he will do weeding of ditches and side lot between me and Jamie which he never cleans..looks nice out there when all is trimmed.
I did get my loppers and cut a fire pit full of branches, raining now so I might sit on the couch and foil glass.
Hope the pharmacist calls shortly
I am here. Don't know what was going on with DG.
Dianne, so sorry to hear about Kai. Never an easy decision to make. Sending lots of prayers for you.
Karen, glad you got to get out with friends.
Pat, how is it coming with the longarm lessons.
Susan, sorry to hear he didn't show up for court. Hope things go smoothly for you.
No good news today. He went into psychosis mood last night, was mad at the world, didn't know where he was, and pulled out his ng tube.
He is better this morning, and I told the doctor he better not receive one more dose of dilauded. He can't handle it. So they are giving him Norco, which is like vicodin. He is sleeping, and we will try to get him to eat something and out of bed to walk later. Doctor told him, if you don't eat and get out of bed to walk, you don't go home.
Oh Linda, I am so sorry. I remember laying across Ben, using the call button & asking for help. Ben was trying to pull the intubation tube.
Betty, the author is Mike Connelly, Mickey Haller Series is what Lincoln Lawyer was based on. Currently there are 6 books in the series that I am aware of: 1.Lincoln Lawyer, 2 The Brass Verdict, 3 The Reversal 4 The Fifth Witness (which I just finished) and 5 the God of Guilt 6 the Law of Innocences. I have the last 2 on a waiting list for me.
Mike Connelly also writes some intersecting novels, Renee Ballard series & Harry Bosch series. I like the Bosch series the best. Characters from each of these different series show up in other series periodically.
There is something wrong with the longarm & we have the dealer/seller coming out on Saturday to look it over & give us some more guidance. We have not given up. The "broken thread" warning keeps coming up,& it is NOT broken. We have tried ALL the trouble shooting advice they have given us. We have shut off the alarm. Frustrating but.... we will get this handled.
Karen, I recently spent some time with a good friend from school. We talked and talked and could have talked for weeks without end! It was so much fun. The ONLY bad quilt swap I remember was the Round Robin one. We all got burned on that one. I try to focus on ALL the wonderful successful ones that we had prior to that.
Sharon, the only surprise is that usually those facilities pay extra attention to the residents/patients that have family visiting frequently.
It continues to pour rain and will do for the next 24 hours. Or so the Weather Liars say. In some areas the grass is up to my knees.
Chaos and I got about a mile walk in before the mosquitoes drove us home. I've been taking him with me when I go into the village. This morning he attracted quite an audience. Guess he had his nose out the cracked window asking for pets. One guy asked me if I was sure he wasn't a pony.
Oh LK I sure hope today is a better day for both you and Todd. Some drugs can do weird or wonderful things to people. I am glad you spoke up and got a new med for Todd. Sure hope for both of your sakes he gets to come home soon.
When we walk I eradicate any gypsy moth caterpillars or nests, I read this report online that said killing them wasn't enough that I should soak the caterpillars in a solution. Well ya right I carry a jug of solution around with me in the bush. I have a bag that Betty made me that I keep on my pants when I walk and it is full already with bug spray, some bandaids, dog treats and my bear bell.
Love all of Connelly's books but especially the Bosch series.
How are you feeling this afternoon Betty ? The doctor will be surprised to find out the drug he recommended is no longer made.
Think I am in need of a nap. Might just do something about that.
Pony??? LOL... ok, well, I am sure he is big. I honestly love well behaved dogs. My trouble is I don't see enough of them to overcome the prejudice created by the bad ones I meet!
Have you read any of Pierce Blake's books? I like that series as well. Especially the Jessie Hunts series. You could read them in any order I suppose but I HIGHLY recommend reading her first in the series "The perfect wife" so you understand the basis of the series.
Other authors I really like:
David Rosenfelt (mostly tongue in cheek, cute & incorporates dogs into stores)
Jeffery Deaver - wonderful writer, lots of twists and turns
Marc Cameron - I can't wait until he writes more!
Kathy Reich - good stories
C J Box - the "Joe Pickett series", I have read them all and waiting for more
If I am not sewing or gardening, I am reading. Stanley prefers I read, it's the only way he gets a warm lap & place to sleep!
Pat do you remember Angie from the DG block swaps? She is one I met with yesterday. She also got burned with the round robin swap. It put her off from doing any more swaps. I was so glad I didn't do that one. I think it's what caused the end of the good time swaps.
Linda I hope Todd gets on the road to recovery so you can both go home. The wrong meds can really mess you up.
Oh Diane, I am so sorry about Kai. I had to do that once with a dog that bit more than once. Heartbreaking but necessary.
Betty, I do hope you can get the meds you need to feel better.
Glad you got on Lindakay, I emailed them to say you were having difficulties..
Must be so frustrating for him, he is beyond himself and lord knows what is in some of the meds..All that time i was in the hospital back a few years i couldn’t say enough about the care I got but I would hate to be admitted now, one visitor if you are lucky, restriction galore, no rooms..let’s hope by weekends end you will both be home sleeping in your own bed.
i took a photo of your post gals, will drop into the library and see if they can put me on a list, they have a push on to get more members so good time to put my order in.
If I remember correctly Pat think Sharon had trouble with her machine as well, dealer is in Barrie but had to get it off frame and take it to him. Aggravating but you will have so much fun once it’s working like it should be.
i imagine Dianne Chaos is the size of a Pony..apparently those suckers are almost indestructible, when I was near the pond this afternoon I felt something fall out of the tree, sure hope it wasn’t the start of them falling..uggh
Hoping the skitters are taking the long way here, sure don’t want them but know they are coming, it stopped raining here just after noon hour, I am hoping at some point tomorrow I can cut my grass for the weekend, trimming has been done but i haven’t cut since last Friday.
Sharon sure doesn’t take long to spend that kind of money when buying lawn supplies, hope you rested today.
Did get a prescription, HYDROCODONE bitartrate..an opioid. Was told to take a teaspoon a few times a day and not take it until bottles end, only take until I am not coughing anymore.
I showed pharmacist my arms, told him I do not take aspirin..he told me that 3 of the drugs I take for pain also thin the blood, solution is not take them..shaking my head, need them or I can’t get through the day so might as well look like terrible, no short sleeve outfits while my arms look like they did.
Not coughing tonight so think I will not it tonight unless I start coughing.
Ziggy laying beside me, think he is telling me it’s bedtime
Yes Karen, I remember Angie, she was a great member & nice blocks. .
The Round Robin was a nightmare. ONE member took all the quilt centers and would not release them. We had all put so much work into them. I tried contacting her. PLEADED with her to send them all to me & I would redistribute them properly. IF she was having trouble getting her round on, let me know, I would take care of it! She responded ONCE and never again. That was the ONLY bad swap I was ever in. Some people were sometimes slow but on the whole they were sooooo much fun and learned so much. It also got me out of my comfort zone on color combinations for other people. Oh well.
My sister used to make our Dad "special tea". Yeah, it had some hot tea in it but I think it was mostly Peach brandy! It was one of the few things that helped our Dad's cough and he would have some in the evening.
Morning, sunshine day, bit of wind and all the birdies are chirping..
Is that the DG name she went under Karen, not sure I was in a sway with her. The swap one I did is one of my favourite Xmas pieces, what each person added was what I would never have thought of doing. I still have 3-4 block that didn’t go into a quilt, should get them out and set them in a throw. My downfall was all signatures were on back of blocks, i should have made a reference block for the back showing who made the block.
My grandma Pat used to make a hot toddy with rye. i never have liquor in the house, maybe it’s time to buy one of those little bottle to have on hand..liquor her is so expensive..likely a $20 bottle in USA is 60+ here..glad that is not one of my habits.
Got up at 8:30, imagine
Had my bath, gabbed to mom and now I think I will get the grass mowed but first a coffee and something for breakfast. Usually Fridays i go to town but thinking i might wait until tomorrow.
Friday again, what do you have planned for the weekend??
I so hope Lindakay and Todd can go home if not today before weekends end.
Sending prayers and hugs for all in need
Lawns are cut, looks so nice with it done and trimming done, i think i will actually get a book and go sit and take an hour for me..actually have a few books on iPad i started and couldn’t get into, today might be the day.
Just saw our local hub chat group someone posted photo’s of their greenhouse and has hundreds of plants for sale. It’s actually on my way to town, tempted to stop in but lordy do I need more flowers? Another few weeks and what is planted will be in bloom.
My weekend goal
. Divide some hostas and work up garden area around the barn wood shed
. Wash the 3 arm umbrella and hope with the new hose attachment that has a soap
and cleaner dispenser it will get rid of dirt in it
Not a lot, now if weather will cooperate. Always like having a plan, that way I can challenge myself.
Juice in hand I’m off to start my hour of “me time” time.
Hope you are doing same.
Enjoy your me time Betty.
I stopped counting at 52 mosquito bites and I am just itchy all over. I want to walk again with Chaos so will cover up completely and use Deep Woods Off on my clothes. I'll still get bit but hopefully not in great numbers. I don't think my system can handle too many more bites. Even Benadryl isn't helping.
My mother was a big believer in Brandy. She even used it albeit in very small doses to rub on babies' gums when teething. My 1 nephew would get so overwrought when teething that mom's cure was the only thing that gave him and the rest of us some peace. Now when I look back I think she might have put brandy in her tea some mornings. Those were the mornings when she wasn't busy swatting us for some perceived misdeed.
It was overcast until about an hour ago when Betty's sun reached our area. It's very windy though.
Sharon when is it your grands move to LV ?
LK how are you and Todd doing today ? Any news on when Todd can come home ? Sending positive thoughts and prayers for you both.
Stay well everyone and enjoy your weekend.
Sorry to hear that they are drawing so much blood Dianne..is there ever a time in your area that they are no longer. I imagine from what you say you are deep in the wood so that isn’t helping.
I am finding that there are a lot of ant hills this year..tomorrow I will boil water and give them a dose. And give them a bath..should have bought ant powder but don’t like using it with Ziggy our there.
i also remember grandma doing same with the kids gums, if you did that today likely end up in jail.
Didn’t want to ruin my day so didn’t look at tomorrow and Sunday’s forecast, likely rain for both of us?
While doing my shopping in town today i picked up a beautiful planter for $10.99, here is hoping,it doesn’t die because where the trio cement column bubblers are it extremely a sunny area.
This morning noticed the little pathway between the trees that Marie comes over to visit has a lot of poison ivy nearby so found some spray for her to spray, I’ll also put vinegar and salt together and give them a dose as well.
Do you have a lot of poison ivy Dianne?
Picked up a pizza, best I eat it before it gets cold..love pineapple and tomatoes on mine
No luck going home yet. Because he can't eat a whole lot yet, just a few bites, his body isn't absorbing the potassium. He is still at a critical level. So they will keep him till st least Monday. Hopefully over the weekend, he can continue his intake of solid foods to help it along.
He was really depressed when he got that news.
Betty - I only got one season on Netflix, so 10 episodes.
Good show.
"what are you doing on the weekend?"......... lol what AREN'T I doing might be more to the point. I'm making the new flag for Silver Willow today (trying to make sure the iron-on flocked letters are lined up properly, giving me a headache & stress), We have our Open House on Sunday, and in the morning I'm to go to church to sing in the choir as it's our minister's last Sunday. I can't NOT go, but it's really pushing my limits with the Open House at 2pm. Saturday I'm doing baking for the Open House. I have a "Calendar of Events" to create so new (possible) members can see how active we are. Made some curtains for the coat closet & now trying to place iron-on flocked letters on our new "flag" to replace the Union Jack that was there (likely from the beginning, 46 years ago. It was dingy & awful)
Yeah, think I have "stuff" to do this weekend. Feeling worn out & looking forward to mowing my lawn again. Getting to be 1ft tall, if not there already.
A former co-worker of mine is involved with DV and has gotten an apartment. I had asked her for a list of things that she still needed. Yesterday was about trying to round up things for her. Later today I will meet with another former co-worker and we will move the stiuff I got into the apartment. Good thing... I don't want this dresser in my car too much longer! Her list of needs wasn't very long. It was fun and affirmingv bb to work with someone who appreciates everything that is done for them.
Today Marie & I have our extra training on the longarm. Send a prayer our way, we need all the help we can get!
I got up in time to get the pretzel salad made before leaving for Marie's. I am waiting for the crust to cool, I have the 2nd layer of cream cheese & sugar blended and ready to put on. The frozen strawberries are partially thawing. I LOVE this dish but I am not fond of preparing any dish that takes multiple steps that cannot be accomplished IMMEDIATELY. This waiting to cool etc cramps my style!
Ohhhh but pretzel salad is soooo good.
Angie and Vic are already making reservations for another meet up in Pigeon Forge next June.
Yes it is, or I would NEVER bother!!! It is also a favorite of my sons & sis so.....
Susan, you have your plate full. Don't over do it.
Pat, good luck with the longarm.
Glad you were able to help that vet out.
We are off to a rough start this morning.
I got here, he tried to eat scrambled eggs, and immediately got sick. Just now, he was taking his pills, and got sick again, so the nurse switched his pills to IV form. As well as some Zofran.
Nurse also told me, his blood levels are dropping again. They put word out, that he needs blood. As soon as they find his type, he will get more blood transfusions.
Good luck Pat on the longarm session and pleased you got rid of a few things, nice to see them go to good home.
I am smiling as I don’t see my 2am post, the iPad was virtually falling out of my hands as I kept dozing off..know i was gabbing too Susan, Dianne and Sharon..maybe it’s best it didn’t get sent as god know what it sounded like.
Sorry to hear your new Lindakay , very upsetting for you all..do hospital normally have shortage of blood or is it because he has a rare blood, sure hope he gets some soon.sending prayers.
Headed into midland about 11, wanted cement and bottle pop, i forgot it was the butter yard festival and picnic at the Martyrs shrine, you could move..bumper to bumper cars..they even had a site near the shrine where people could park and buses bringing to town and back..although not interested was nice to see.
Rain is suppose to come later today so I want to work on my cement containers I am making before it gets here.
Once rain starts i can play with glass, just getting pieces out, not sure what it will be nut that is ok, whoever I give it to willl love it
Pat, I sure hope all gets sorted out with your sis' long arm. They are a lot of money the service should be much better.
My sister and BIL bought a brand new Samsung fridge. Within a few days, every morning they got up and it had tripped a breaker. First they called the builder...new house.. and they sent electrician to check circuits, All fine there. Then called Lowes where they bought it. Lowes said to contact manufacturer. They sent them back to Lowes and then told them to just call a repairman. She is quickly reaching her boiling point. She is insisting either Lowes or manufacturer has to replace it and of course she is right. It's a matter of getting an English speaking person to get her to someone who can actually do something. Totally frustrating.
I sure hated that the stupid round robin was so messed up. I feel it was the straw that broke our block swap group. So sad. Should have never happened.
This message was edited Jun 11, 2022 1:59 PM
There isn't a shortage of blood. When a patient needs blood, the hospital has to call the blood banks, to see which one has his type. O negative. It was here within the hour.
That is great news Lindakay, did he always have trouble with insufficient blood and had to have infussions.
Karen, i sure miss our quilt swaps and regular swaps
Still wearing jammies from Lindakay and not a day goes by when i walk the gardens do I see something from swaps.
Miss both
Got the 2 perennial I bought this weekend planted, used up the 2 bags of cement
Bought to cement in a,post..repair a few mushrooms..had some left over and made a bowl of sorts, put a little gnome laying down into it as well as alleys and glass..a mush mash on the up of it..who knows if it will work..didn’t do hypertufa, just plain cement and fibreglass hair. Does it matter if it goes to garbage, not in the least..there were two bags of cement, each had a broken section of the bag, the young fellow put in in clear bags and I paid 1/2 price so no loss.
I think I am getting dementia, truly I am..not confused but lots i don’t remember.
Came in and I am full of cement and dirty, decided to run the tub..sat for awhile and thought best I check how much water is in the tub… grrrr didn’t close the plunger so no water in the tub
Well no water in the tub would be a good thing foe me. I would tun it on and remember hours later. We have such a water shortage, I no longer take a tub bath, but just a shower. We are 106 today. I have been in the house the majority of the day. Emma, my dog and i will go out side about 7pm and do some gardening. I have some roses to dead head and some weeds to get pulled before they go to seed.
Linda, I so pray something changes that gives him the ability to keep his food down. Maybe some pureed soup. I know it helped Vern.
Betty, you just do not know how to rest. I had to because it was to hot to do anything else.
Dianne, I am so sorry about Kai. You did all you could do but it still hurts big time. How are your mosquito bites? I am so glad we do not have mosquitoes here.
Karen, I am so pleased you got to get together with your friends. I did not get involved with any of the swaps. I am terrible at getting things sent on time so I was smart not to get myself involved and I do not quilt or sew. I did pay for some bulbs from a DG member and never got them but just wrote that off to my mistake. She was having so many problems, I am sure she went off the deep end. She just
disappeared.
We are still working on the rental GD and her hubby will be moving into July 4th. Coming together. I have hired an attorney for Brian's condo mess. Going no where fast and I have proof they have lied to us and that I will not accept. Poor Brian is bewildered and confused. I try to keep it simple as not to upset him to much.
Susan, I learned to say no quite a few years ago. Way too many jobs. Or you need an assistant and learn how to delegate. There are a bunch of fying bugs in my back andscpe and th hummers are having a fest.
LindaK, I am sorry to hear that Todd continues to struggle.
Dianne, I used to love to walk with my Dad. As long as the mosquitos had him to feast on, they left me alone! He used to say in Alaska the mosquitos were so big that they asked each other "Shall we eat him here, or carry him home?"
Susan sounds like quite a project, the banner. You will have to send us a pic when you get it hung.
Betty, look at the bright side, the tub did not overflow!! LOL
Sharon, share some pics with us of your rental progress, I am sure it is coming along beautifully.
LONGARM: We have lift off!!! Practiced some simple edge to edge continuous designs. We have a couple more pieces ready to load and practice on.
I got the dresser & box springs, & a bag of miscellaneous stuff, delivered to former co-worker's new apartment. Vanessa was really blessed with an affordable apartment, 3 bedrooms, 2 bath. It is in a newer part of our community. I was really impressed.
LindaKay - so sorry that you & Todd are going through this. Glad to hear he can get blood transfusions quickly, but even so.......
ah, the banner. I don't have a table long enough, so was trying to trim it to size (in sections) and it went "ok" but the lettering is another story. With the banner itself a little "wonky" that meant the letters couldn't line up. The banner is 6' wide and 3' high.
I put it up today as best I could, and when I went back to put up the curtains, the banner had fallen down. I put it back up again with carpet tape. Hopefully I can find a tall person to tack it in with tacks & a hammer. The overhang it's meant to hang from is about 8'-ish high & even on the 3rd rung of a step stool I was still reaching to get the bottom of the over hang. No ladder, or I would do it myself.
Good morning everyone.
Beautiful garden decorations Betty.
Pat, so glad your longarm is working. I love your practice piece.
Todd hasn't had to get blood transfusions until we got here. When he arrived at the ER, doctors did thier assessment, and told me, they couldn't believe he was still breathing. He was in critical condition when he arrived. Iron, blood, potassium, magnesium... everything was critically low. Potassium stays at a critical stage. Because he isn't able to eat more than a bite or two, his body can't absorb it.
Thanks Linda, its relief to finally have something positive on the machine. We are also scheduled for more training/ check in on 6/29. I expect to have another couple of real pieces done by then, not just practicing.
Todd is so lucky to be alive. I hope they can get his chemicals all leveled out soon.
Betty, check out this fabric shop in Canada. They have some great prices.
https://www.dinkydoo.com/collections/sale-fabric
They are just above Washington state. I believe that is where Susan is?

Emma and I have had our walk and breakfast. I have sprayed the tomatoes because they were wilting big time. Temp currently is 104 with wind. Like a blast furnace. I still have to back wash the KOI pond and water some planters. To hot to do anything else. I did go in the front after our 6:30 walk and found a stand of weeds, amongst other plants, that were abut 3 feet tall. Do not know the weed but they were setting on berries and getting ready to pop seeds everywhere. Thank you Heavenly father for that find.
Pat, so pleased you are making progress on the long arm. My son, DIL and grandson are golfing today. They said this is the first nice weather they have had.
Not a cloud in the sky here. 74 days since any rain.
Linda, so pray some improvement is just around the corner for Todd. And am also praying the same for Betty.
Lindakay, prayers for Todd, he is indeed lucky to be alive, now is only they can get his body to accept food so he can gain strength. My big problem when i was in the hospital all those times was potassium..i eat at least 2 bananas a day and take a pill now..body would just going into spasms..can’t imagine how Todd is feeling, your watching almost as bad.
Pat, glad that you are on mission, did they have to order a part..know you said it was som etching wrong with your machine.. now to get sewing so you have something to quilt 😂
Susan, whatever you so DO NOT get on a ladder trying to hang the banner.
Didn’t do much today, just basically sat on couch, foiled something glass, shaking my head, have to untack a piece, sitting on couch i added an oval type clear glass, a clear circle and some alleys..I know once the big coloured circles are added it will look ok but i was in the kitchen, walking back in i looked and saw a gnome hat and beard sos changed have to be made..that is what happens when you randomly place pieces.
Lindakay i think Sharon has ordered there, prices are great but iur Canadian mailing doesn’t make it worth while.
Before I forget, i had quite the episode last night, was in bedhad aches from top of my toes to just above my knees, walked around a bit then went to the washroom for meds..washroom is across diagonal to my bedroom, my bed is right at the door, i took one step and could not walk, could not move either of my feet without screaming..i started to fret, no phone, no one in the house..tried as i might i could not move..took me 15 minutes to make it to my bed. Paul had given me one Christmas a massager with 2 rotating unit and heat, i couldn’t put it right on my legs or feet, hat to put a pillow over my legs then put to unit on them, alternating legs..
I messaged Sharon as i thought if i had another attack she would have to come over.
Yesterday I had the boys in the morning for sewing, married came over and mixed the cement, i put cement in containers but that shouldn’t have caused it..my problem also was the distance of phone, iPad with tel #’s, could have crawled but no way, couldn’t lift my feet off the floor..
CRAZY
Betty, perhaps you need to consider and emergency alert bracelet. I know the necklace kind is not a option for you. They are not overly expensive and it could make a BIG difference in safety for you. I worry like crazy when loved ones do not KEEP a phone on them ALL TIMES!! If you can't reach it, it is no help!
Honestly, we live in a desert but you would NOT know it by the weather we have had the last couple of weeks.
