Betty - every time I go to church in Olds, I grin as I turn down one street. There's a car repair shop, called Ziggy's. I think of your Ziggy :)

At coffee today we had a visitor from another town that gave us a donation of $400. We'd asked for $250, and they decided to give us more. Nice, eh?

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Susan, that was so nice of them.

So where is Betty today.

Dianne, I worked all of the time and Vern did not want to go to movies so the majority of the movies would be new for me. I love British type of entertainment. So I do watch a lot of PBS. I also enjoy Canadian TV shows that I get on Netflix. There are several channels on Netflix you pay extra for that have entertainment from England and Canada. And I am an old stubborn woman and I will not pay extra. They do not want us old people because they think we do not spend money.

Karen, I am so sorry you have to plead to get the treatment you are entitled to.

Pat, I make a salad close to what you made. I use many different nuts. My problem is I cannot make a small salad. I have been on a low carb eating plan for over two years and there are so many recipes out there now, you just need to search. Cauliflower is the hero in low carb. I am not trying to lose any more weight but hve to keep a close eye on everything or I will gain it back and I have given away all of my larger sizes, so that would not be good.

Morning all, -7 feels like -13 did have a dusting of snow. Plow went by then i put garage to roadside..only a skim so was going to shovel but decided I’d salt, ran out so out came kitty litter..i will meet Pat and June outside and help them to the basement.

Where was Betty yesterday, on the couch, just over energy..didn’t even eat except for morning porridge..coffee tasted terrible so I threw it away.

One more day Karen..hope you can get infusion same day..

Susan, that is generous of them..what is your group planning to do with extra funds?

Sharon, you are such a wee thing, i would have said you needed to put on a few pounds. I do like cauliflower but not cooked, i also enjoy the English shows, there are some really funny series. I as well have Netflix and can’t get them, did tillabout a few years ago.

Lindakay, how are you feeling today, still resting I hope

Time for another hot chocolate seeing coffee is not doing it

Lost day yesterday. Was going to do laundry. Started the day throwing up for no reason I could figure. Walt carried laundry down and I managed to get it sorted and first load started. I wasn't up to eating as yet, crawled into the recliner and covered up and there went my day.
I finally managed to get back up stairs about 9 P.M. crawled into bed and was out until 5. Cannot believe I nearly slept the clock around. Never ate either.
I actually had the thought a few times to have Walt take me to ER but fell back to sleep. I'll get through today and then go for my EGD tomorrow. I will tell Dr. how I've been and hopefully he will order an infusion for me. I feel now I'll be back in bed soon.

Happy Saint David's everyone. He was the patron saint of Wales. My mother was Welsh.

It is also Shrove Tuesday. I won't bother but pancakes are going to be featured in many homes today. I've watched some of the Mardi Gras parades online.

Same weather as Betty. It is still snowing and by the looks of it we will need a plow.

I did manage to get into the village yesterday to do some chores then came home and hit the bed. Kai and I had a not so nice go around outside. When he is good he is very very good but when he is bad he is horrid. He spent most of the day in his crate once we got inside cooling his jets..

Oh Karen I hope you can get your infusion tomorrow.

Speaking of laundry I need to get some into the washer.

Stay safe and well.

Karen, I can't imagine if the MD has any idea how sick and tired you have been that the MD wouldn't order the infusion immediately. I am so sorry you are going thru this.
LOL, is everybody doing laundry? I just put in a load. It's just me so only have less than 2 loads a week.
Stanley goes in today for his yearly vet visit. I hate to put him in that cat carrier. I really need to get a bigger one.
Now that I have full access to the school record of homework & grades, I am able to do a better job of monitoring Aiden's school work. Not sure he really appreciates that, I can see where he didn't turn it work etc and no longer have to rely on his self-report.
I take the 2 quilts in to the long-armer today. I hope to get more sorting and paring down of stuff in my sewing room. I need to get sewing faster or find a way to keep any extra stuff from coming in!! I got caught up yesterday with cutting up and sewing some doll clothes. I had several pieces of fabric that had been accumulating that were big enough for shorts, skirts or pants for the doll and wanted them sewn up & put away.

Afternoon,

Karen, feel so badly for you, Walt must be beyond himself with worry..let’s hope your doctor sees and understands how ill you are and by tomorrow night you have your infusion..hugs

Everyone must be insane page, i usually put my laundry in everyday, either on 1/4 or 1/2 load, i find it’s just part of my early morning routine and doesn’t become a chore..was thinking in the morning I’ll bring fryer screen upstairs and scrub it, won’t let it get clogged like i did before.

Dianne, the girls and i were talking about Shrove Tuesday, if i have an appetite that is what will be my supper… rarely make them as I seem to make a mess.
Oh oh, Kai is in the crate, does he come out sheepish, know she was a bad dog? I imagine if he is on a leash he’d be hard to hold on to.

Pat,I’m had an appointment I think last month, had to cancel, no way could I get Ziggy in kitty crate..both Sharon and i forget about the crate but i must make a special trip to her house and get a small crate. Good luck getting Stanley in the crate. Love those outfits, not first time I say no way could I make mini doll clothes..did knit some for nieces about 30yrs ago but wouldn’t even try now.

I finished June’s quilt, she was in hurry when she dropped in, can’t leave Alex for anytime so we ooh’d and ahh’d and i packed it up for her, drats didn’t take a photo..not sure she takes photo’s if not I’ll have to go one day and take a photo..

Pat was doing an Easter Bunny door hager, might do it but i will enlarge it.

Chicken noodle soup ready, will checkm8n,later

Poor Stanley, I am a BAD kitty mama. getting him into the pet carrier was a struggle and I could not help but laugh. I tried wrapping him in a towel and pushing him in, that didn't work either. I finally put the carrier up on end and put him in head first.

Victoria Harbour, ON

I tried that one as well but carrier has a zipper so while i tried to hold him in and zipper up out he came never to be seen the entire day.

Ohhh how i love this plant

That is an amazing plant!!! Really unique.

After one full year of cutting Stanley kibbles from 1/3 c 2 times per day, to 1/4 C 2 times a day...... he lost ONE oz. ONE oz? Can you believe that? Goodness, that sure isn't much progress and I don't give him treats and rarely gets ANY people food at all. if he does it the tiniest piece. When I told them that, they replied, well, just see that he doesn't GAIN any.

Well Stanley is part Maine Coon & he now weights 14 # 1 oz. He does NOT seem overweight to me at all. But what do I know? I sure do not want him develop arthritis or diabetes.
