Our shower has a step in feature so we got Vern to the shower with the wheelchair and then slowly moved him to the shower chair. I use it every day. I think I ordered it on Amazon. Many items Medicare supplied were ours. Anything leased had to be returned. I also have safety bars on three sides of the shower. I do not want to fall around all of those hard surfaces. I fell the other day in the greenbelt. Little boy, about 2 threw his Razor scooter out of his electric car. I saw it coming as it was sliding toward me and tried to not get hit by it but got tangled up with it and fell and conked my head, fell on the scooter and have a large bruise on my leg between my hip and knee. Scared their nanny and she immediately tried to pick me up. I said, no, just let me lie here for a moment to make sure everything is OK and then I will get myself up. Everything seemed to be in the right place and I got up. Got a big bruise on my outer leg and Cecil got loose but one of the little boys older brothers got him and held him. I have not fallen fora long time. AND, my i watch did not ask me if I fell. When I fluff a pillow it thikns I have fallen but not when I fall.

That was long ad I did not want to lose it.

Pat my daughter and her husband, who never argue, have had many bouts about the vaccine. He is vaccinated and she is not.

Susan, tell Bob that it is not his problem whether she has internet or cell phone. Cut the strings. She will find another sucker soon. Tell the marriage counselor and the judge. Or his attorney, if one ever shows up.

Linda, we were 108 yesterday. 102 today and actually had some rain on the other sixe of tow but my side did get some cloud cover.

I made a horrible discovery today. Talk about having your head buried in the sand. My housekeeper brings me a McDonald's Carmel Coffee Frappe when she comes every two weeks. I pay her for it. A friend dropped by another one today so I decided to look up the carbs of this amazing refreshing drink. 54 grams or sugar and carbs. Won't be doing that anymore.

I went to the grocery store today, which is unusual for me because daughter and friend shop for me. I on the aisle looking for grape power water for my gardener and having a difficult time finding it. Out of the corner of my eye I see a middle aged man standing on the other side of the aisle. I look at my cart and it is smack in the middle of the aisle. I asked, "Am I blocking the aisle?" He says, "No, your cart is". I started laughing and told him that was a good one and I am not moving my cart but he knew I was kidding. Told him I loved his sense of humor and thanks for making an old lady laugh.

Glad to hear you are ok after your fall. I hope that little boy got his butt smacked.
Sharon, you have been losing weight, that drink once in awhile won't hurt.

Rita called me yesterday afternoon, i was shocked that she said she was thinking about going to get the shot, i imagine it’s not to her choosing, Ontario are in the works of having vaccine type passports, any major event, certain restaurants stores etc will be asking fir them..i truly can see the benefits so here is hoping it comes into being..I’m not sure why i think it’s either going to be announced in 2 weeks or comes 8n effect in 2 weeks and until we get such passport we show proof of our being double vaccinated.

Not sure what kind of dolls they are, thought the designs Pat were beautiful..sophisticated.

Lindakay, after my bout of being in and out of hospital and them finding nothing and my giving up fried foods and fatty foods my vomiting continually went away.

Laughed at your comment Lindakay, getting up and wondering what part of the body will give you problem, always shoulder and hip but this morning poison ivy, was cleaning in gardens and pathway so guess i came in contact with some.

Yesterday when cleaning up i pulled out this humongous plant, all the little yellow flowers had died, i have 4oclocks in same pot so decided to pull it out..could figure out how i had these little brown arrow type seeds working their way through my slacks and top,pulled out hundreds, here i find that Ted next door said he noticed the other day i had what he called a hitch hiker as when you get near it it’s all over you..hope i got the roots.

Mom called last night, she had called earlier in the day and i said i was out working in yard so in the nicest of tones said she hoped i wasn’t doing extra work because of her party, she wouldn’t want that..told her it was my regular weekend clean up, said it would have been nice just her 4 kids and spouses (I bet).. none of the other would have organized an event, a meal at a restaurant would be it..lots of rain coming end of next weeks so far 90% Friday, just hope it doesn’t move to Saturday.

Ray who does my yard clean up and ditches dropped by last night, i didn’t see him but he spoke to Marie who waters my flowers, said he had to be somewhere and would be back today to get ditches done and wanted to talk to me..sure hope it’s not to say no fall clean up big sigh.

Might see if i can put 4 screws up on front deck to hang the windows, won’t do anything with them until i decide if i like them there or not…they will need painting on one side, nice brown on one side and yucky yellow on other.

I do hope that boy was chastised for his actions. You could have been more seriously injured.
I allow myself one treat that I refuse to give up. I have a cappuccino every morning. It's made from a mix I order online. I don't think the sugar is awfully high but my numbers are good so I don't worry about it. It's easier to swallow my pills with than water. Hubby even brings it to me when I'm in hospital.

Well if Rita is considering the vaccine, maybe there is hope for my son & family? LOL Adam came home early from work yesterday. He had seen the DDS and the DDS must have stirred up a problem, he was MISERABLE.

Still sewing and bagging doll clothes. I bend a piece of my serger and will have to take it in for repair. I caught a piece of a garmet in the bottom looper and bent it. I hope the repair doesn't take too long or TOO expensive...

Oops doctor just came

Last of my antibiotics today. Still red swollen and sore. I will go back in on Monday if not showing improvement. Been messing with it two weeks now.

Doc gave me injections, Lordy they hurt big time this time…rest arm a few days then go easy..said he is hoping mri shows problem and can be fixed..right!

Marie and Ted came over today and put windows on front deck, not sure if i like them, thinking once i glue glass here and there might like it better, won’t be this week for sure

I took the full 7 days faithfully. I'm not as sore as I was last weekend but still need my cane to walk, Definitely swollen and red.

Betty, I posted this a few days ago about poison ivy. Might want to give it a try. Don't know if it works or not. Tear a brown paper bag in small pieces. Soak in apple cider vinegar and apply to your rash. Let sit till dry.
Supposed to dry it up.

I have heard about the vinegar for poison ivy also. You might want to take your baths with Aveeno in the bath water, it helps itching too.

Morning, storm blew in about midnight, more wind than rain but they are calling for rain this afternoon so should organize myself and get some shopping done.sky is getting mighty dark so if I’m going to go best do so now.

I will look for that product Karen, between calamine and tried the. Paper bag strips dipped vinegar is doesn’t appear to be moving further up my arm.

I’m thinking I’m liking the windows hanging on each side of front deck, might but a few tubes of e6000 and just glue on some of the glass pieces that are taking up space.if ted or someone else drops over I’ll have then undo the frame and i can over next week at least get one done..

I go to Portland next Saturday, just overnight to see Kevin & Gloria & Karina. Kevin called and asked if I could make Karina some night gowns in Elsa (Frozen) knit fabric. I searched online & in stores. Sure, they SHOWED it but then "not available". I finally ordered a pair of WAY oversized PJs and I'm going to rework them. I am blown away at the price they want for patterns. Give me a break $18 for a pattern??? I really need a shirt and pants that fit Karina so I can slip a pattern.

I had a productive day. Cleaned the hummingbird feeders and broke one. Of course, I broke the most expensive blown glass one. I hit the side of the sink with the top and it broke off where you attach the line to the hook. I took some more cutting of the coleus. I had success rooting them and holding over for the spring. We shall see.

Pat we were 100 today. !08 on Tuesday and going down little by little every day. Next week should be out of the triple digits for awhile.

Daughter Tracy should be landing in St Louis as i type. She will return next Sunday. Her DH is joining her on Friday and will return at the same time. Jacob reported to BYU Idaho and has some very nice roommates. Tracy said they were "The Book Store", which is a general store and were shopping with Jacob. A girl walked up, introduced herself and ask him for his number.

Pat that is outrageous for a pattern. Eloise Grace, GGD, who is just abut 2, loves Frozen and Elsa.

Karen, please keep an eye on that toe. But I am sure you are because you are not a man.

Foot is better today. I can walk on it now. Still hurts but not so bad. The toe is in very good shape. Foot still has some swelling but I think less.

We are doing good in Texas. Only 97 yesterday. It's a shame of all this racist stuff going on. Teams being renamed, statues being removed...

World is gone crazy Lindakay, when i think of the younger ones in the family facing a future just want to cry. Guess we are letting it happen..the past is the past, bad and good was done, we learn from the bad, always helpful in my estimation to see how far we’ve come with racism and the past 5 years or so it’s gotten terrible.

Coleus are quite easy to start aren’t they, top of the one in living room broke off, i just shoved it in a pot and it’s well over a foot.

I was up early, excersized a few times, one utube video was to get in i think 5,400 steps in 35 minutes..Marie came in and i was 15 minutes short of completing the steps so Marie sat and watched lol. All to rock n roll music..think I’m nearing 5 miles today..only think i can’t do is use left arm..imagine, i tuck it into my slacks so I’m not tempted to use it😜

Yesterday i sat all day in painting 2x4 lengths to make 3 pumpkins..used my right hand to paint them,drats, still must use my left shoulder as i was up most of the night..this morning did a bit of garden fall cleaning then put the pumpkins together and decorated them..a woman emailed me for 2, hope she picks them up.

Just had turkey dindin, early but that is ok as it won’t be a late night.

Clouding over, calls for rain tomorrow but they are never accurate so perhaps some tonight..i say they are never accurate but just watch, they say rain Saturday, watch it be accurate. Mom is coming up thursday so need to get everything done by thursday.

Sat here for an hour gluing pieces on a window frame, I’ve 2 to do, more work than i thought, isn’t that always the way..did my shoulder in after being so careful..guess instead of coffee table and bending down I’ll have to take it downstairs and work from higher position.. I’m bound I’m not going to let it get the better of me but. Grrrr

So I’ll take meds, rub myself down and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

I'm tired, a telemarketer woke me up at 7AM. Seems unfair, I don't sleep well and to have been sound asleep to get that lousy robo-call just ticks me off. Particularly since it was before legal time to make those calls! Of course the number that was displayed WAS NOT the actual number they were calling from. I wish there was a way to catch these people and shut them down.

Pat my navy grandson is on his way to his new base, Whidbey, Is. I didn't get to see him for his leave because of my darned foot. His momma said we'll just have to make a trip out there, maybe in the spring. His wife will be joining him there.

Yesterday I broke a back tooth on my upper right. Got an appointment for this morning and I had broke a crown. Good news is that the crown is only 2 yeas old so under warranty so no charge. Bad part is it is in the very back of my upper mouth and will be pure torture.

Temps here today was a high of 99. Actually felt wonderful.

We had a large amount of Geese fly over yesterday in two groups. Winter must be coming.

Good morning everyone.

Wicked storm moved through overnight with lots of T&L and very heavy rain falling. I'll need to see if the lane to 1 of our American cottagers is a gully this morning. Of course it hasn't been tended in 2 years other than me raking a wee bit when I walk the TH. I'm fine around the house but haven't checked the grounds and bush. I didn't fall asleep until after 4 am so am weary.

Since I was awake I watched the Ultimate Surfer twice last night - one in each time zone. Boy oh boy are these surfers very fit and talented. Show no fear either. The 3 males in the semi finals were all from Hawaii and friends for years. I even watched Americans Got Talent and I haven't seen that show in a few years.

Betty it has been an achy time in what seems to be forever for me too. It feels like my knees are bone on bone when I walk. Nothing even meds seem to ease the pain. I hate to talk about it but in my head I can hear my sweet dad saying ' this getting old is for the birds'. My hands often cramp and freeze in a claw position. I think all those years of Stained Glass are taking a toll on them. Of course I come from a family where arthritis is rampant so I was expecting to get some form of it.

Karen what lovely looking grands you have I am sorry you didn't get to see your grandson off but you do have a trip to look forward to. How is your foot today ?

Like all of you I hate these telemarketers. Last year some guy called me at 5 am and tried to convince me I needed to pay $9000 immediately. He wanted me to go into Kingston and get several gift cards from Shoppers Drug mart and Senora then call him back. I just laughed and laughed. Now if I don't know the number I don't answer. If someone wants to get in touch with me bad enough they will leave a message.

Don't envy your visit to the dentist Sharon but they can make things so painless now one can hope you will not be in much pain.

Wonder how our Judy is doing ?

My eyelids are drooping. Can't decide whether to drag myself off for a nap or just try and stay awake. The problem with staying awake for me is I then fall asleep between 8 and 9 and wake up around 2 or 3 am. In my next life I am definitely coming back as a sleeper.

Betty you can get Skunk Off at most vets and it is just magic at getting rid of the skunk odour. It doesn't cover it instead it breaks down the chemical in the odour.

The TH are being quite cranky with each other. I really need to get Kai neutered but the vets don't want to do it until they are 2. I think I am just going to have to tell my vet if he won't do it I will find one who will. They also each have an elk antler for the first time. Their approach to the antler is very different. Kai tosses it around like a frisbee and Chaos just keeps it between his front paws not quite ready to have a chew.

Hi - thanks for asking how I am. No, Dianne - no more camping this year.
I'm not good Betty - Naomi is driving me to distraction. Yesterday I went to Tuesday Social Group for the first time in 2 months because I didn't want to be there when she was, and she wasn't going to be there. Ok, things in sequence:
1. I've been telling people I couldn't be at same place as her because of Bob's "no contact" order. I got a phone call from police on Monday saying that only involved Bob, not me, and I could pass the time of day with Naomi, but not talk about Bob. So, I've told some friends this is the new way - but that I don't want to be at the same place as her, by personal choice.
2. I was told that she wouldn't be there on Tues aft, so I went. Only Pat & Catherine were there. I drove back home to get something, and saw Naomi approaching our yard where Bob was working in it. I gunned the motor, she saw me and backed away.
3. I went back to Tues Social Group & asked Catherine to tell Naomi, as a friend, to not approach Bob & try to talk to him. Catherine proceeded to tell me that I'm a bully and have been trying to get her to stop teaching beading so Naomi (invited to learn beading) won't be coming. I've done NOTHING of the sort. I've only told people that if Naomi comes to Tues Social Group or Monday coffee, I won't be. I used to tell them it's because of a legal order, but now as of Monday I know that's not the case. Catherine kept saying I was lying & I told her I was mistaken & told the truth as I thought it to be. (next post)

Catherine kept going on about me lying, and bullying Naomi. I kept insisting & standing my ground, that I didn't lie, nor was I bullying her by saying she couldn't go places. I was told by 2 different people that they suggested the beading take place at someone's house, so those who don't craft wouldn't be held to doing it. I never made that suggestion, so I was NOT trying to get it cancelled.
4. This morning I looked at the home phone's callers list & saw she called right after I left to go back to Tues Social Group. She would not be in breach of the No Contact order, but if she's inciting Bob to breach it by talking to her..............

Damn, I'm mad. I had an appointed call to my probation officer today (before I knew of Naomi's call) and he said I don't have to let Catherine's drama into my life and should only allow the positive in. He's right and I fully agree with him, but Catherine is toxin to the max.
Bob's court date of Sept 20th - nothing will happen because he's just been awarded a lawyer by Legal Aid and they won't have all the details nor discussions with either Bob or Naomi before then, so it will be postponed until an unknown future date.

Sad to hear Naomi is still trying to talk with Bob. She should have a restraining order against her.

I'm sorry you're going through this, Susan. Does the no contact order only apply to Bob? You'd think it should go both ways.

The pups are getting big, Sissy is continuing with her chemo and doing good so far.

Diane, the main reason to wait on neutering is that there is a hormone from the tested that signals the growth plates to close. Without those hormones bones grow longer which can put more stress on joints. From what I've read both hip and elbow dysplasia are more common on dogs that were desexed before physical maturity, as well as as other joint issues.

Guess I better get my work day started!

Had people 8n and out all day, finally off to Midland to do grocery order i need for Saturday, really for tomorrow for chopping, got major things done today sooo i think by Saturday that way i can enjoy.

LindaKay - I've been hearing, for a lot of months now, that the US is suffering from a lot of shortages of things from paper products, to lumber, and food items.
In my area we're lucky not to be totally out of anything, but do notice that there are some shortages.

As for Naomi, as the "victim" she can talk to anyone BUT Bob. People are not to be contacting me on her behalf, either. We can talk about the weather, but not HER
