OF course you paint a 8 x 10 for the dining room! LOL... either you will buy a rug & paint linoleum or find a gift that doesn't require work!!
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends, old and new..come sit a spell!
Hard with Ziggy Pat, at least in spring I can let him out for the day while sections of my project dries.
Greg and Mel should be here shortly, best I not burn the sauce..I’ve 1/2 the quilt binding sewn
In the recipe for the German Pizza I forgot to add the step with the shredded potatoes. As you melt the butter spread the potatoes to cover the frying pan.

Susan, he is a rat. Did you ask him why he cleaned out the savings account? No reason to really go there but would like to know. Glad you got your funds before he took it all. Still sending blessings that you can get a good night sleep and awake in the morning refreshed, happy, healthy and safe.
Betty, so pleased Nikki was not critically injured. Hope you had a great dinner with your family and hope Sharon was able to make it. I always tell my family there is nothing I need except maybe a big hug or company for lunch.
Dianne, that German pizza sounds delicious but to many carbs for me. Maybe in my next life. Are you feeling any better.
I fixed the irrigation in the bedroom garden this afternoon and then moved to the "new' hill in the front landscape and planted some lobilia and violets. I started at noon after the dogs first walk an finished at 5. Then I had to clean up the area and walk the dogs. My butt was dragging and I had my shower even before the dogs got fed. Both dogs and Peanut spent the whole day with me and Boots came back and forth. I had the front door open. Again had several neighbors stop by and my four year old Ford, stopped by twice. His sisters were at school and he was lonely. He was with his nanny because his mother was training their new puppy.
And the most important of all, I forgot you Betty. "Happy Birthday". My great granddaughter, Grandson and my mother were all born in March. Have a great Birthday Month.
Morning, 34f with a feel like 20f, still they are not predicting snow for this week coming..
Thank you all for birthday well wishes..
Kyle looked tired, hadn't had much sleep,I knew there had been a major accident because of whiteouts he said had had 3 dump trucks and a few backhoes scooping up all the debris from the 11 car collision a few miles from here..a bus to take passengers to fireball..few people in bad condition, hope he got sleep last night.dianne, did you hear about it?
Greg and and 3 guys he works with are heading to Timmons for their annual snowmobile trip..one of the men has a hunters camp in the middle of nowhere’s land, they are taking food and fuel so will have little to no contact with humans (lol). They all work together so social distancing ok.
Yesterday truly tired me out ,so much so I was still up til 11 trying to fall asleep.
SHARON, although we don’t get mega foot traffic here I am looking forward to spring so I can work in front guarded and say hello to passerby’s. You must be almost done your winter/spring planting?
Need to put apple pie in freezer for another time, I ate one donut last night and one this morning so if I don’t freeze the pie likely I’ll end up eating it all 😋
Still tire, too bad I made my bed, eyes are heavy, so could sleep but I’ll forge through, make a coffee, do a load of wash and sew a bit..can always nap this afternoon
Betty, I understand the difficulty of wet paint & cats!! Adam had to put Stanley in his room so he could paint the entry door & trim. Stan would NOT leave Adam alone with that long bushy tail waving...
I wonder if I could adapt the German Pizza to more Keto friendly by substituting cauliflower for the potatoes & almond milk for the milk, I bet it would work, worth a try!! .
Back from the vet. Kai was due for some shots. You know I am vigilant about a Lyme shot. Kai was a hit at the office. I was concerned as he doesn't see many people and does not like to go for car rides. Apparently he was as sweet as can be.
Pat I am sure you could substitute cauliflower for the spuds. I had pizza at a friend's one night and the crust was cauliflower.
Betty I saw on the news a clip from the accident scene. That 400 is a death threat - I hated driving on it. I am sure Greg and his friends will have a great time.
Deb a canine question. The vet wants me to keep Kai on puppy kibble for 18 months. I have never done that before but the vet thought Kai needed it. Your thoughts ?
It's a good thing I left very early for Kai's 9 am appointment. Good thing I did as I got lost - really lost. Thought for a minute I was going to end up like Betty and Debbie did and end up in a corn field. My vet is a rural vet and raises Black Angus cows so it was all back roads. Saw some good looking farms though.
Susan sending positive thoughts and lots of hugs.
The TH are napping so I think I will too.
Dianne, my guess would be that since growth plates don't close until after puberty, she would prefer him stay on the higher protein, higher fat puppy kibble. Larger breeds aren't usually physically mature until 15-18 months.
I've always fed them puppy kibble until they were 12 - 14 months but it makes sense. Kai is going to be a big boy. Thanks for the input.
We, the dogs and I, are back from our walk. I crashed last night and went to bed early. Hair is curled, bed is made, I had my low carb bread toast and two eggs for breakfast. I am on here early because it is trying to rain.
My housekeeper tested negative so she only lost two days of cleaning for clients.
Betty, I am so happy you had a wonderful birthday. My great granddaughter's birthday is next week. It is amazing how fast that year has gone. My daughter is going to St. Louis for a visit in another week.
Pat, you try that pizza low carb and let me know how you do. I change a lot of recipes low carb and it is wonderful that there is very little difference.
Dianne, Deb's input on Kia makes sense. I just changed my dogs to Science Diet Healthy for adult dogs and they are so much better. Both have lost weight, but we are on a new eating plan, all three of us, and that probably helps. Dianne, I give the tablets below to both dogs. Cecil was having trouble with his left hip and I purchased this from a recommendation from a friend with dogs. It has helped him greatly. I got first bottle at Costco and ever since I order it from Chewy. I give it to both dogs because Emma would never understand why her brother got something and she didn't.

I was wishing to hear from Susan. Probably did not have a good night.
We are 66 here today with clouds and a little raindrops every now and then. Just enough to mess up your cars.
Karen, how are you today?
I spent most of the day at Marie's, we worked on a BOM embroidery block. We stitched out a sample and fine tuned our color choices. We each have a different embroidery pattern but are using the same background and color choices. We hope to be able to mix them together in a quilt. Each of our patterns is from EMBhome.com I liked Juju better! EMB makes you pay for EACH size, Juju includes all sizes with their pattern.
I actually dreamed about the baby quilt I'm making so I was ready to go sew a bit. Actually not sewing yet doing the cutting and prep work. I was all standing so I only lasted a couple hours but I'm pleased with getting some done.
Forward motion is good!
Checking in, was hoping to see a post from Susan, with all that she has been through, dealing with for past several months i am sure she is in a deep sleep, totally mentally exhausted or counting sheep. Tomorrow she will be stronger

Hi - checking in - things are going pretty good. Bob & I are spending heaps of time together. He wanted to buy her a dozen eggs from the farm we go to and I told him, she's an able bodied person who drives and can get her own eggs. I also told him that if THIS TIME he gets her eggs, I would go with him to deliver them, but from now on she gets her OWN. He said he would just leave them on the deck. Anyway, there turned out to be no eggs available at the farm, so that's not an issue. I think he thinks that "not working for her" means he can still see her, but that's NOT the case. I told him so. She's out of the picture, entirely. I did mention the officer that talked to us a few times, in passing. That much I won't let him forget.
Bob & I spent a good evening together & even shared some laughs tonight.
I am very happy to hear things are improving Susan. I am concerned that Bob may not be getting the full message if he still thinks it would be OK for him to buy eggs & drop them off. Hopefully your telling him that he can't see her will be effective, Please hold him accountable. If he slips into any behavior that is unacceptable, or it will be a very quick slide down into totally unacceptable repeat performance. By telling him you will go with him to deliver the eggs, you are still keeping the door open to include her in your life. Just something to think about.
John Gottman (& wife Julie) are very respected nationally known authors & therapist. In his text book on marriage therapy he says that the reason most marriages continue to downward slide after marriage therapy is "the bullshit detector is broken". If it looks like BS, smells like BS, don't let your kind heart give him the benefit of the doubt or you will once again be knee deep in the stuff. Of all the marriage theory & practice we had in our clinical study & work, his work stands out.
Very well explained Pat, I certainly regardless how much I loved him would continue in status quo..will be exceedingly difficult to deal with seeing Naomi is just 8 doors away, every time Bob goes out the doubt will resurface..know it would for me..
Wish photo I took of my yard would turn out better but it’s in the shaded area, I was going to go put thinks in my car so I not forget them next time I’m in town and decided NOT..glare ice
Pat, I agree. It is excellent advice you gave Susan.
Betty, please be careful going out in that ice.
It is the same here Betty. I tried to walk the TH this morning but there is a layer of ice on top of the snow. It's not worth it - the TH have a huge enclosure to play in.
Excellent advice from Pat Susan.
Has anyone heard from Judy or Debbie ?
Karen how are you feeling today ?
Where the sun shines Dianne it’s nothing but mud, but where I hard packed it shovelling all winter it’s ice, like you no need to go anywhere..should have parked my car closer to front door,
Judy came on the thread that couple of times then gone..is upsetting...I imagine Liz talks to her a lot..upsetting, because these dg friends become friends
...with Judy must be around 18 years, visited several times, watched kids grow then gone...
Debbie messages me and was on a week or so ago
Hopefully no post from Karen is because she received her package of fabric and is busy sewing
Got some knitting books out,not knowing the mother you don’t ‘now if baby will be baptized, would want to spend a hundred hours doing a baptismal gown either knitted, crochet or smocked only to find out it would be used..
Betty I did get my fabrics and am working on the new quilt. Everything I'm doing now is preliminary to sewing. It's all cutting and pressing...stand up work, so I can't keep at it for long. 1 1/2 - 2 hours seems to ne my limit. I'm making progress but slowly. Better than nothing though.
Bet you are just thrilled Karen and yes, no overdoing it.
Sharon 2as trying to finish quilting her penguin quilt and spent most of the day yesterday quilting, today she can’t move..will have her son Brian raise it a tad so she is not bent over
We both agreed we would put a wedding quilt top on our machines, work twice a day for 1/2 hr or so a day then work on other projects..when we do mega quilting that enhances each block it’s mega work..random quilting we can do as it’s not so intense.
Is it the panel you are doing?
I worked outside the majority of the day. After walking the dogs on their first walk, which was longer than usual because we saw some friends out in front of their home. Only 3 houses off our normal walking trail,so we stopped by and chatted for about 10 minutes. My first task of the day was to clean my glass patio table tops, granite top of tv cabinet outside, and the BBQ. Just got about half way through that and garden helper sowed up at 1. We are sodding an area of grass either Saturday or Monday, so he needed to determine how to move 2 irrigation lines. While he did that, I cleaned my koi pond. First I back washed it and then turned off the filter, put a hose on full blast into the pond on the bottom and stirred up all of the muck that had blown in and settled to the bottom. .Then spent about 45 minutes moving around the hose and skimming at the same time. Then I noticed a spider plant in the waterfall needed some rehab and I moved in that direction. And you know what happened, because you all have done the same thing. Three hours later I had finished trimming the climbing germanium, removed both pots of spider plants, and discovered a lot of muck and dead dry leaves. Garden helper got the shop vac and helped me vacuum up the mess. Now tomorrow I will need to sit down and work on the two spider plants and then put them back. During that time garden worker potted up 64 plumeria cuttings for rooting. I know he wants to sell them. I do not mind as long as he pays me for the soil.
I still didn't get my vegs planted but tomorrow for sure.
I have a hard enough time walking on a normal surface. Ice would take me down quick. I had a hummer following me around the majority of the afternoon. Do not know why because both feeders, one in front and one in back, have fresh nectar.
I am hesitant to comment on Susan's post because I do no really trust most men. Did mortgages for too many years and saw how women got messed with by their lovely husbands. Susan, just keep your eyes open.
I was without internet all day. To add insult to injury, I lost my cell phone!! when Adam got here, he called me & I found it quickly. It was between bed & nightstand.
I have daffodils in bloom!!! THAT is when I realized I didn't know where my phone was, when I wanted to take a picture. Adam had a load on the pickup for the dump so we went, came home with a head board. It is high arch with long spindles. It will make a pretty bench or maybe I will cut & rework it into the gate I need. Adam got it for me, I mentioned I liked it, it was being discarded by truck ahead of us.
Our weather has been crazy, in high 60s, but some days we have had horrendous winds. I understand the WISE choice to not be walking on ice!!!
Almost evening, Lordy was up at 5:00, thought I had posted..got all my housework done by 7:30 and headed downstairs..much accomplished, not a wonder I am tired.
Sharon dropped in with her penguin quilt, although we bought same kit I ended up using from different piles for mine, so they are same yet different.
Pat, would be a difficult day for sure without internet and your phone..saw in sales paper this morning stores are selling daffodils, mostly potted, I would end up killing them before Easter, not good at houseplants ..I’d rather pay good $$ and buy the imitation ones that look real.can imagine what the headboard will look like..omg was watching a movie last night, a storm passed through a farm, min the morning the barn was down, omg slap me silly, first thought was all I could make with old bar board..shaking my head.
Sharon, did you get your veggies planted? so envy you being able to garden and taking strolls, the thought of taking a walk and talking with humans makes me homesick. The plumeria, that is a lot, from previous years (if doing same) do most survive so you can plant? Yes, have done same..think it’s usually the weekend before Mother’s Day I tackle the pond. Just came to mind, I killed a,pit of ivy and yet this side of pond has beautiful ivy that survives the winter.
Nap time
Your penguin quilts are sooooo cute! I love them.
Adam's wife hit a deer on the way here to bring my grandson in to his bio-mom. There goes another radiator & bend hood. It's not been a stellar day for them. Adam had to leave work to go pick them up, (They were still an hour away) and managed to get a rock chip in my pickup windshield.
Had an absolutely great day. 77 degrees and no wind. I got up at 8, which is early for me, and got dressed, fed the dogs, walked the dogs and then headed off to Lowe' garden center. Made a quit stop at Trader Jo's which is just across the street from this Lowe's. I purchased two artichokes for a friend. Hope they are good.
Lowe's had anything you could possibly want as far as flowers, so I had a good time selecting what I wanted for my hill. My garden helper and landscape crew were here and put new grass sod in my back garden area where the sumac used to call home. There was a very small area of grass that was pitiful and it is all gone and the new sod will look good and the area was made about 25% larger to give the pups more room to lay around in the morning sun. Their favorite pastime.
I spent the majority of the day outside and now I am wiped but happy. will take photos tomorrow to show you my (our) progress. Poor irises in one area got planted twice because of the broken irrigation line. The harder I work, the more needs to be done. I keep reminding myself that this is the time of year that tries very hard to break your spirit because there is so much has to be done.
Betty, you had a busy day before I was even awake. I still did not my vegs planted but I will be here all by myself tomorrow and it is on the top of my list of things to do. I also need tog get started on my taxes and get the info to my accountant. If I placed out all of my older plumerias and the new cuttings, I would have over 100. The new ones will be either gifted or my garden helper will sell. I will take a photo tomorrow of all of the cutting.
Pat I have an i watch and use it constantly to find my phone. I could be without the internet all day because I usually do not get on my computer until after 5pm. You remind me so much of my mom and dad. They would take a load to the dump and bring a load back from the dump. Trash to treasure is one of my favorite things. Bulk trash day here in Vegas is a good day to drive around.
So sorry to see that Susan has not posted. Praying all is well.
Hugs to you all.
