Sun is shining. I'll take it.

We were iced in. The lane was treacherous when I walked the TH so we stuck to deep snow for awhile. Lane was sanded but according to a couple of people it was still slick.

Still hurt all over but otherwise feel fine. I am really sleepy and have decided to nap when I feel like I want to - maybe my body is trying to catch up for all the sleep I haven't been getting. If it keeps up for a few more days I will call the doc. Her office was closed for bit due to Covid.

Sharon is it common for you to experience high winds ?

(((Susan)))

Betty your new wheels look great. Now you will really be champing at the bit to go on a trip.

LK how goes the battle ?

I am really enjoying the Sewing Expo 2021. It's all virtual but I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound for MOST of it. There have been a couple of presentations that were not adequate quality. There have been good show discounts and I have spend some $ but not expo is not over yet, I expect that will change to $$$!

Betty, I think its WONDERFUL that you slept in!! That is such a rarity for you to get a decent night sleep, to actually sleep in is a miracle!

I joined a free online BOM. https://www.allpeoplequilt.com/magazines-more/2021-block-of-the-month-bright-new-day-quilt. I already know I HATE 2 7/8, & hourglass blocks. I LOVE HSTs but not hourglass. I was trying to cut. out my blocks last night but Stanley would NOT cooperate. I gave up and went to the other room so he could sleep on my legs & I read. I should know better than to try to sew after 8 PM. THAT is when Stanley gets his most needy and will try to sit on anything I am working on. .

Last night in the Young Women's group (girls 15 to 18, I am an advisor there), they worked on "cake decorating". The girls seemed very happy with the project although to me it seemed to be all about making the frosting and filling the cupcakes. NOT what I expected, but hey, if the girls enjoyed it, that is ALL that counts!

I am so upset - I called Bob to see if he was ready for me to come home, and he's in the town where I am, getting work done on the Monte Carlo that Naomi gave him in return for the work he did for her - about $4k worth of work, and the blasted CAR needs at least $1k worth of work done on it. He Won't See that functionally it's costing us $5k worth - his time (which is worth something) and cash out of pocket.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wow Susan, that did not go well I’m sure. Did you need a vehicle?
Think I’d go home, deal with it and if not a good outcome he could move seeing it’s your home. Does Naomi know it’s casing such a rift between the 2 of you? Have you and she talked about it? Might never occur to her how hurt you are..

You know Pat if it wasn’t for the fact I’d have to eat the cakes I always wanted to take up cake decorating..maybe after Covid. Is there a spot on the site one can go to?? Can’t seem to connect to 2021 quilt of the month ..not fond of hourglass either

Icy here as well but Lordy you feel like spring is right around the corner.

I’d call for doctors appointment so that if you need appointment you won’t have to wait so long...likely we are going back into lock down next week

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I have a vehicle. The one we use belongs to me. Naomi knows how hurt I am, and yes I've sat down with the 2 of them & Told them both so.... twice.
Just a bit ago I phoned him & asked him if he wants me home. Of course he says, why would you think I wouldn't? Well, says I - when I asked him on Wed if he misses me, he didn't say. And when I told him to call me when he was ready to talk, he never called. Today he told me that if I want to come home to "your home" (yes, the home is in my name) it's up to me. He said I'm delusional if I think that he will give up doing work for her. Delusional? I told him that the only thing coming between he & I is her and if he gave up on doing for her, I would be happy to come home. This will be my 4th night at a B&B & it's not cheap. Well, better than a hotel room, and I get breakfasts. They're a Christian couple and she says that I am not wrong, from her point of view. I suppose if I had pushed this MORE back in the fall (and yes, I talked to the two of them back in the fall), but I pushed pretty hard back then. Now, I'm telling him that I have no more fight in me.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lordy Lordy Susan, that is a hard one..I’m not in the position to give advise, only thing I would do is go home, tell him he has a choice, no more Naomi or move out..if he says not then pack his bags and say out you go..not easy I know..let’s see if Naomi will take him in and if she does for how long.

Now you are not work8mg I’m sure you can get subsidy even if it’s covid assistance until you know where you want to go but enough is enough, paying b&b amounts to likely what you would have to pay for land rental..even if you wanted to prolong your stay situation will not get easier, have to confront it dead on and what I know of you in all these years you can do it, love or not, this is not the way to live sometimes as we all know you can’t always fix broke, at least you would have piece of mind..

Does he have access to bank accounts? I’d be withdrawing $$$ within the hour, home you go gal

Am sure maybe some of the other gals might have better suggestions, let’s hope they have

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, our ground here is called caliche. A very hard, almost like concrete clay. It literally takes a jack hammer to dig any holes. So no, we have no basement. It has been so dry here, that the foot of snow melted and soaked in we didn't have any flooding problems.
I finally got back to the shop today. Waiting in a customer to bring in a quilt.
This is the last one I did. The lady that brings the tops in is 90 years old. She can't see very well, so none of her seams or blocks are straight. So I just do a large meandering stitch to try and cover her mistakes. Not an easy task to do sometimes.
Susan, sure hope you can fix things between you and Bob.
Karen, I live that panel. Can't wait to see it finished.

Susan Betty's advice about withdrawing some $$$ from your joint account right now if you haven't already is an excellent one. I can speak from experience - I was left with only the money I had on me at 1 point in my life. It is not a great place to be.

(((Susan)))

Sun is shining but it is cold - there is a wind off of the lake..

I made German Pizza last night - a good friend was here for dinner. I just had some leftovers and it tastes even better today.

Time to walk the TH. I fed them early tonight. Kai just can't seem to get enough food in him.

Verona, ON

We crossed posts LK. Glad to read you are back at the quilt shop. How kind of you to take the elderly lady's skills level into consideration.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Glad no flooding lindakay, know your ground is caliche but all the more I thought you would be flooded, nowhere for water to go, never thought about heat of the day evaporating it.

Excellent meandering, she will love getting her piece completed.. the design makes it difficult to see where it doesn’t match. Aunt Muriel gave me 3 1/2 “ block quilt top, bigger than double, lady in her 90’s, lady had passed away, not sure I will quilt it, if I do it will be one of the last things lol

Dianne, what is German pizza, different toppings, sausage in it??might be something I could try on my Tuesday night supper with Greg and Mel.
It’s all those walks Kai is getting that makes him hungry.,growing boy!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

We don't have joint bank accounts, the house & car are in my name, and he only has access to the Savings account. I moved $1k from that account to the Chequing account. I already spoke to a locksmith who will come out on Monday to change the locks. I only have to show him that the place is in my name only. I have the purchase agreement that says so.
Since I've talked to him, I've had someone tell me that they saw the two of them in town, and they were acting & looking like a "couple". Once before another person told me the same. Add to that the way I saw them on the couch, snuggling/spooning in Dec and it came crashing home to me today. They're physically close, even though he denies it up the ying/yang.
I'm going home tomorrow, and will tell him to get out. He called it "your house" when I talked to him today, so I guess he figures it that way too.
When I get unpacked, I will pack his stuff in the suitcase. Should be interesting - she has no internet - and he's a computer nut. But, I suppose in the beginning he will only be working & watching movies with her. At this point, I really don't care.
A close friend of mine said "things could change, don't rule this out". She also said that God will protect my heart.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Susan, there is no fool like an old fool. I am so sorry you have to go through this. I have no suggestions except to take a deep breath and be calm. That will really throw him off. Just commonly ask him to leave. And please leave a forwarding address, so you will know where to forward his mail.

Linda, Las Vegas has cliche. Not as much as your area. Here the rain water hits the ground, sinks very little, then starts running down the canyons and gullies. Over the last 15 years many millions have been spent on flood water reservoirs. There are still three major ones being built and that should help greatly with the flooding.

Dianne, wind is Nevada's middle name in February and March. We live in the Canyons. Our homes are built on the side of canyons. The bottom of the canyon is where they built the greenbelts, roads and such. We move into our home March 1, 2001. The first night here we had a big windstorm and it sounded like a train running down the greenbelt. Trees and homes have been built and that helps buffer the wind but sometimes it is just to strong and it just plows through.

Had a beautiful day here weather wise. Doggies went to the groomer and door and window people were here to fix the doors and windows. Before I went to pick up the dogs, on the way I stopped off at Trader Jo's to get some eggs and my weekly fresh flowers. This week I got glads. Then I stopped at Lowe garden section and picked up some violets and lobilia. My new flower hill is taking shape but I had an irrigation problem develop Wednesday and garden helper was suppose to be here yesterday but didn't show. So today I decided I needed to tackle it and see if I could fix it. Of course, it is right where I just transplanted the irises. So I removed the irises and started digging. A sumac root family was totally destroying a main line of the drip irrigation. So I got out my handy big cutters and got rid of 4 different roots and then ran upon the mother load of a root. About that time my lawn gardener showed up and immediately told me he would take care of it and took over. And I did not argue. It was about time for me to pick up the dogs anyway.

Linda, you are a special individual to take something like that and give it your all. Special spot in heaven for people like you. Then with everything you do with the animals, I do not want to be at the Pearly gates the same time you show up.

Pat, I have the same problem with Peanut. If I try to read the paper in the late afternoon, she just comes and lays right down on the paper. I garden that is about all I do as far as a hobby. My mother made beautiful quilts and knitted and crocheted beautifully. I use some of her dollies and they are starting to deteriorate. Some of my favorite Christmas items were knit by my mother. Neither I or my Sister picked it up. I used to love to embroidery but that fell by the wayside with life getting in the way.

Betty, no more pain in your shoulder. Suppose to be windy again tomorrow with a high of 57. Shows the rest of the week with no wind. And I have no appointments next week, so I should get something done my hill.

Hugs to you all, and a special Motherly hug to you Susan. Mother Winter

These are my two propagation tasks going on now in the garage. In one photo, you can see the plumeria in the back ground.

First and third photos are my plants started from cuttings. Second photo is my lawn gardener fixing my broken irrigation line.

Sharon has great suggestions, psusan, cool and calm,,
This has to end one way or another..prayers to give you strength you need... hugs

Your home is set in the most beautiful backdrop....must be a job finding break in irrigation line, maybe looking for dying greenery? Glads are one of my favourites, grandma grew them in her gardens .my shoulder is much better thank you, not sure why they went into spasms this time, I’ll concern me when the next set starts

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

good morning ladies - as you say, Sharon "no fool like an old fool". Now that I've had it come crashing home to me, and the initial shock has worn off, I am calm. Only got 5 hours sleep, but I know what I have to do. He has another car to use, and another house to go to, so I'm not feeling like I'm doing him out of anything. He made the choice time & again, I just didn't want to see it. Oh well, I won't let him put the blame on me. I didn't like the person I was becoming - suspicious & watchful, and I will release this part of me right away.
She purports to be a Christian - all I can say is they'd both better get down on their knees & pray that God will forgive them. I'm not ready to be so gracious anymore. Not now and I'm not sure what the future will bring, but I place it in God's hands. HE has my back and I pray that this will go easy today, but I suspect he will try to lie to me. That's his prerogative.

-1 and snowing, must have started earlier this morning, not enough to shovel yet, does say it will stop later this afternoon so will get some fresh air this afternoon.

Susan, my heart breaks for you, glad you are coming out of the fog and following a path you must follow in order to keep your sanity!

Thoughts and prayers are wish you today

Going to make a coffee and spend the day in my craft room, lots I can get into, one cleaning and organizing then sew, end of month coming fast and although my monthly challenge with Sharon is completed still a few more UFO’s I could be doing.

Need a few things at Canadian tire, will have to go tomorrow, Tuesday 12:01am back in lockdown..wish they would keep us in lockdown till most have their vaccines rather than a month or so at a time then open for a week or two then back to lockdown grrr

Susan, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Remember, be calm and I know that is easier said than done.

Betty, I knew I had an irrigation problem because I had a big gusher. Of course, right in the new bed, right where I planted the irises. So pleased you are feeling better and trying no to move the earth. It is windy here today so I will not be outside much. But I will take a moment and replant the irises.

I will be back later, I just wated to check on you two.

Lyndonville, NY

I know I have been away for some time, but SUSAN, I agree with all they are telling you.

AND you don't need suitcases for him, hefty bags work just fine and boxes. You might need the suitcases some day for a well deserved vacation.

yes, I also found, that calm really scares them. They listen more when we use a calm smooth voice. Yelling just shuts them down.

Snow is FINALLY melting here. I have fallen twice this winter, last time about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday going out, where snow had melted, there sprouted my daffodils coming up and another clump of long grasses. There is hope!

Hugs to all....
Debbie

Verona, ON

Snow sure isn't melting here Debbie - it's falling and shows no sign of stopping.

(((Susan))) Yes I agree being calm is the best approach - it really freaks them out. Basically because they are expecting shouting and gnashing of teeth. I hope today will go smoothly for you all.

Sharon I love seeing photos of your gardens. It will be at least 4 months before I can get into the dirt. I can probably do some cool weather plants in late April early May. My Grandpa Jones never planted his veggie garden until June 1. When I get the itch I think about him saying that in his delightful Welsh accent.

Betty I have put the sheet the German Pizza recipe is on in a safe place where I would know where it is....lol I can't find it. As soon as I find it I will pass it on. Is anyone else interested in the recipe ? I'll post it here if you are.

Chaos and Kai are sound asleep. I think I might join them after I slather myself in Voltaren,

Dianne, I would love the recipe

Hello ladies ..

Have been lurking on the thread off and on .. wow, lots happening of a sudden, not all good ..

Betty LOVE the new car :-) Enjoy ! As for the impending GGrammahood, well, you know I have been there .. still can't my head around it .. and, i am still NOT as outrageously happy about it as I should be . bringing kiddies into this crazy world is SO not right at this point in time ..

Susan .. calm is the order of the day, and, stay .true to yourself .. I feel so bad for you .. prayers ..

Debbie, as of yesterday I have fallen FOUR times at home. many bruises and cuts, but, thankfully nothing broken, except my spirit .. I simply tripped, in the kitchen twice, dogs thought I was playing ..we have cement floors ~ .. it hurt .. once was in the bedroom, lost my balance and fell over an ottoman and onto the floor .. the worst was a tumble in the bath unit .. should have known better than to lean out while showering to push the doors shut ,, soap is majorly sllippy. was so embarrassed , happily I had a LARGE beach towel near.. Gord and Lorna have saved my sorry butt 4 times !!

Sharon .. I saw a FLY today, it is so incredibly mild, near 40F ..

HUGS all around ( we are on LOCKDOWN as of Mpnday)

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

Waving, glad to see Debbie and “M” home..

I look forward to the recipe Dianne, my go to food is Joyce’s slow cooker and Ruby’s applesauce cake..would love to add German Pizza. We had light snow till about noon then it got really mild and it’s just slush in the drive..am hoping Andrew comes and does the drive before I freezes the melt and becomes a sheet of ice.

Sharon, I too love to see your garden photo’, like Dianne it will be 3-4 months before we can really put our hands in the earth unless of course it’s milder than usual, that is ok because there will be plenty of tree limbs to clean..big sigh, I usually have a rip roaring fire to burn it all but the auto body shop out up one of those large tents to store things, I’ll have to watch which way wind is blowing so ashes don’t land on it grrr.

Sorry “M” that you are having so many falls, good side is nothing broken but still darn sore those ouches. I had a bar out in when I did the tub and walls last fall, so far haven’t used it but think I should start..tub is deep, Greg keeps thinking because I take so many bath during the night to ease pain that I’ll fall asleep and drown myself, don’t think he worries about me falling...i do though bring a phone and set it near the tub on the floor just incase lol

Thought of you many times while wondering how I feel about it and think same way as you...Kyle was here for about an hour, he is excited and I made sure to show how excited I was..he is looking to buy a fix r upper but the smallest of houses in disrepair are having bidding wars, not not much under $400k
Not understanding why everything went up over $100k on most houses..guess it could be that companies now understand staff can work from home so people want to move north..are you finding same in your region?

How is Lorna doing? Furries doing ok?

A fly,wow..I’m hearing birds and am feeding squirrels again but no flys or Ziggy would be jumping trying to get at it.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

The fly was on/in a southerly facing patch of grass, and, the sun has been so warming, I guess that guy just wanted out LoL

Lorna's Moms home sold for an incredibly amazing amount 3 years ago, and, I think it was due to its location and lot size ..near schools and a GO train station within walking distance.

Lorna is doing well, sort of, she needs a knee replacement to her right knee, her only knee, and, with her blood clotting anomalies even the orthopedic fella is being cautious ..
She MIGHT retire from the cemetery this year .. not sure, last year she was cut back to 3 days a week due to good old COVID .. she's 62 and an incredibly hard worker .. it was her wheelchair that got me up from my last fall .. she sat in it, and, I pulled myself up, sorta ..

The 3 dogs are doing OK, Lilly, the oldest at 14 has Cushings (on meds), Zoey, 13, has arthritis, she;s on gabapentin and pain meds,, and, wee Piper, 10, is our diabetic on twice daily insulin .. LOVE them all :-)

Re the GGKids, mine, I have seen Annabelle (2.5) twice, and, have yet to meet Scarlett ..

Off to research microwaves, ours just died !!!

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

Checking in on Susan, likely too mentally exhausted to post, perhaps in the morning..

Difficult indeed “M” for Lorna , needing surgery but having concerns over blood clots or being in severe pain, she sure has a difficult decision..

Not many visits to cuddle those sweet babies, did your granddaughter move away or that is just the situation..same is what worries Mel & Greg..

She loves her work at the cemetery and does a great job but knowing Lorna likely she does her regular 5 day week in 3..you’ve a bid yard, she could retire and play in your yard and be creative or maybe just pick up a few yards to work in gardens..

Quite a commitment giving Piper needles, know Sharons day is based on Inuk, needle at 6am & 6pm. Lily and Piper doing well on meds? Mel gives cbd cooking for Ned’s hips..moms dog needs teeth removed, wow the amount of &0$$$ to the vets is not cheap but as you say we love our furries.

Friends of Darlene sold their little home downtown for 1,3 million, wanted to move next to her daughter and grandchildren, looked for a place in Bradford, extra $$ they thought they would get would make finances easier during retirement, ended up they had to pay 900k, guess it’s about 30 miles from the city if that.

Did you find a microwave, is it a built in one or under the stove kind?

Let’s see if I can get back to sleep or if it’s bath time

Reading these house prices make me grateful for my humble home!!!

Susan, hang in there. Bob is an idiot, he will figure that out when he is OUT. I am so sorry. You might want to get yourself a notebook. WRITE down all the reasons you know that this separation needs to happen. WRITE down all the evidence that he has been lying and that they are a "couple".
1Others say it and warned you.
2.YOU SAW them snuggling up.
3. NOBODY does that much work for "free"
4. He has consistently put her as a priority over you.
5. He knows how hurtful his continued relationship with her is but continues anyhow!
6. THINK about it and list what you know. It helps clear the fog from your vision.

You will need this checklist sometime when you "forget" and are tempted to just try to downplay his behavior and move on. You need to have that reality check in place or Bob can con you all over again. IF someday he thinks he wants to come back, and YOU want to consider it, have him prove him worthiness. He would need to EARN your trust.

Great post Pat

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Great idea Pat.
Seems like everyone is falling.
I fell last week, on some ice in the driveway I didn't see. Stepped out of the house, took about 4 steps and both feet went up in the air. I came down on my left hip. It's still purple.
Getting old sucks.
Betty, have you seen any specialist yet?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Dropping in, in hopes that Susan had given us an update..she is dealing with so much..

Haven’t Lindakay, appointment isn’t until May 18th. Now that muscles aren’t in spasms seems the shots have really helped, of course less shovelling has helped..not if only the amber alert (tinnitus) would cease.

Sorry about your fall, worrisome when we fall that we don’t break a hip etc. Touch wood I usually have one or 2 falls using the steps but not this winter, likely because I rarely go out.

Everything is melting today..help me when the winter melt is slow.

Just came upstairs to make a salad, didn’t have breakfast so tummy is hungry..maybe I’ll take hamburger patties out for supper and do mash potatoes and carrots.

The quiet of the house, roads, community is deafening..kind of eerie..almost a feeling of doom..sun is coming out from time to time so just maybe it will help.. . was thinking Easter and I am sure we will still be on lockdown , big sigh!

Hi - I'm here, dealing with what I can, emotionally. Being calm, being distant.
Came home about 4pm Saturday, found the door not only locked but deadbolt locked. I have the keys to both fortunately. He came home 1 hour later. I had suitcases on the bed and told him I needed 5 things - 1. to not say anything more about this - everything had been said that needed to be said (asked him if he saw the text I sent, yes he had). 2. the keys to the Cobalt car. He has a car to use, the one she gave him. 3. the keys to my home, 4 him to pack up & leave, and 5 to move the black car away from my place. He gave me my car keys, after he moved my car to where it usually is & moved the Monte Carlo away
He said "I have no reason to leave". I told him "you're only saying that because this place is more comfortable. Here there's internet & Netflix. Her place isn't quite as comfortable. He had no reply.
He still says he doesn't need Counselling, I said no, he doesn't - WE do if anything is to be saved in this relationship. He had no reply.
He made dinner for the both of us, and said "Is it seasoned the way you want, Sweets?" I went to get it and ate it in the den.
I know you're going to think it was wrong of me, but I wasn't going to scream or anything - I made up a "bed" on the floor of blankets & pillows between the bed & wall & slept there. Wasn't great, but I slept. I was NOT going to sleep on the couch he spends his day on, we only have 1 bedroom & I was NOT going to sleep in the same bed as a man who has lain with another woman while I am his wife.
In the morning, he said "Good morning" I said the same, and that's the end of our conversation. I'm not glaring, or sharing meals with him. He's not making coffee & nor am I. I am doing what a former Pastor & his wife suggested - being quiet & calm, and letting God deal with Bob. I'm not doing anything or saying anything.
I still have it slated for the locksmith to come tomorrow. I'm spending my time in the den while he goes between the den & puts in a few minutes in the den on the computer now & then and mostly in the livingroom watching Netflix (which is his norm - watching Netflix). Usually I help him on the computer with a game we both play, but now I am not, obviously. He can look after his own game.
The quiet is not as peaceful as I had at the B&B, but it's better than us talking or arguing.
I'll nuke chicken & some mashed potatoes I got from the grocery store while at the B&B, because I have leftovers from then. I'm not preparing meals for both of us.
Now, I'm going to go back to my online chatting with my friend Susan. I'm rather glad she can't be here right now, because she's very vocal, and I wouldn't be able to hold her back hahaha She'd tear several strips off him.
Calm & quiet is the order of my day. As it says in Psalm 23 "He leadeth me beside the still waters, He restoreth my soul"

Hiya .. :-)

Went to Best Buy, and, was in and out in 15 minutes with a new Microwave, almost spot on the same as the old one. At least DH will have no problem running it!!

The dogs are all doing well on their meds .. an expensive row to hoe, but .... Piper is on a 4am/4pm schedule ... we find that tough, but DH is good at getting up and helping, then we go back o bed LoL I still make their food ..

Pat.. just a wonderful list for our Susan to follow ..have had her on my mind all day !! I could bop Bob on the head !!

Falling is just a real pain in the patootie!! I'm 5'7" and, umm, 'weighty'... so, when i fall, the trip back up is NOT easy ..

Lorna would be a real POSITIVE working at home as we have so many gardens to care for, and, that have been neglected ..I'm not pushing her one way or the other ..

Best get a move on ..

~M~

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Susan, I don't think any of us think "you're going to think it was wrong of me, but I wasn't going to scream or anything". There is NO point in yelling. You have said it all. He is not listening or understanding. Screaming rarely accomplishes anything. When he leaves, change the password on your computer internet so he can't jack it from next door. I will bet the Monday locksmith change of locks will be a surprise to him.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Glad you posted Susan..you were in my thoughts all’s day..

Nope, not judging you in anyway..think you’ve handled things well, ALL except you sleeping on the floor..no reason you can’t have the bed and him on the floor..Susan would be shaking her head right now, maybe Bob does need a strip taken off of him.

Glad you are still having the locks changed..he does know his time is limited and on way out., likely be surprised at the locks being changed, shows you mean business!

“M” that is the worse, not being able to get appliances that fit in same areas as the other one did, lucky you to have found one.

Is there a reason why you can’t change Piper’s vaccine to a later hour? Know how important it is to have a schedule..Sharon is already changing inuk’s schedule by a few minutes each day to accommodate time change..can’t imagine have 3 furry loved ones on meds. Could see your gardens flourish with Lorna being home..hard work keeping up with cemeteries. Was wondering, heard if you pass from Covid you must be cremated? Having been a Nurse likely you would know. Guess Lorna will have to make up her mind before all the spring burials..tired tonight, gosh it’s almost 7:30, staying up a tad later lol

Eyes are getting heavier, will gab tomorrow Lord willing

Lovely weather today mid 70s. Great porch sitting . For a while, then the clouds arrived, the wind came up and the temp went down and it was back inside for me.
Still paying the price of eating a favorite which disagrees with me. Walt, bless his heart has taken such good care of me all day. I'm so very lucky to have him.

Worrisome talk with my youngest daughter. She has been miss independence from the very beginning. Always..I can do it myself. Well I don't know if she was going to tell me or not as she tends to not or to say something when all is over with. She was having a severe Hemorrhoid problem and went to Dr. for it. While treating it Dr. discovered a cancer lesion, a squamous cell carcinoma. He said a fairly common cancer in a very rare area. What she has been going through so far is very painful. They plan both chemo and radiation Mon. - Fri for 5 weeks. Dr. is very optimistic about a cure. I have to go along with what she tells me but it makes it no less worrisome.

Pat - the neighbour is about 8 houses away, so the internet doesn't travel that far.
I'm too tired to be telling him sleeping arrangements, Betty. Not so tired that I will give in, but tired nonetheless. I will choose my battles, and this isn't worth it to me. God has my back, and maybe tonight he'll sleep on the couch rather than have me sleep on the floor. It's truly ok - he knows I mean business anyway..
Guess I'd better turn my phone on, for the locksmith, and charge it too.
Thinking about getting his cell phone cancelled. We shall see what the morning brings.

Susan, sounds like you are moving ahead. Just hold your ground and steady forward. We are behind you either way, with or without him.. Next few days are going to be tough. I have not had this particular problem but have many friends that ha something similar. Some individuals just have a verbal affair. We have heard their jokes hundreds of times and they are new to her.

Windy here again but I do not garden on Sundays so no loss. Dogs and I had two good walks and met up with the neighborhood toddlers and had our daily fix of little ones love. I did water my snapdragons because they were wilting. Didn't water on Wednesday because of broken irrigation and g
Saturday as to windy for irrigation and no watering on Sunday. Gardener did not fix until late Friday. I think we move to 3 days a week tomorrow March 1st.

Pat, your list was a good one.

Karen, that is worrisome abut your daughter. A painful area for any surgery. Blessings for a successful procedure and follow-up.

I have fallen many times but not recently. I discovered many of my falls were related when I was turning left and walking at the same time. So when I am turning I stop, turn and then walk. Ie, slow down. When I am outside and in a uneven area, I use a walking ski pole. Marilyn, having three dogs with different aliments must be mind blowing. Knock on wood, that this set of schnauzers, 3rd set, have no aliments.

I will be back, Cecil wants to eat

Betty, if I get tired, I get cold.
