Spent 1/2 hour here, first of all he had specialist report but not the X-ray report, asked for it but didn’t receive as yet..
He told me to fax the place in Barrie that did my test on Monday to have it sent to him.,he showed me he had a referral ready for a specialist to do day surgery unless he/they see something more when he/they look at the mass..said if he refers me to specialist it will be a long wait for appointment then they will book surgery ..if he sends referral for surgery directly to surgeon is will quicken things up
As for the circle on my face he is giving me special cream, if it doesn’t clear then he will send me to dermatologist.
I was 15th on his list, gave me a flu shot
We talked about medical issues in area re no doctors..he said at end of 2019 there will be 7 doctors locally retiring..big trouble..
Said his secretary spend half her day taking calls from non patients..he is considering moving his practice to Victoria Harbour because being upstairs at super store people in droves are coming in wanting to be patients or where can they go etc etc etc.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?? Come sit a spell, newcomers always welcome..come join in the chat!
7 retiring is NOT good news. I have heard thru the grapevine that my PCP is retiring and I am VERY sad. I dread looking for another. Fortunately my DDSIL works at the hospital and can give me some suggestions.
What is the circle on your face? You never mentioned it before.
Betty - is it a dark spot on your skin?
Beautiful bike Susan.
Don't forget to change your clock back 1 hour.
|Betty I got the pillow at a new dollar store in town. It was 12.99. It is an independent dollar store..so they have lots of interesting things that are a lot more money than a dollar.
Susan..won't you look snazzy on that bike.
Ohhh snow, drizzle, almost freezing rain.
Susan you will have to store it for winter?? Looks pretty snazzy..
I wouldn’t say Susan it’s a brown spot but has been growing, 8m to start steroid cream and see what it does.
Carole, What is the store called, just love it!!
Had a coworker of my brother in-law Mike come and give me a price to do ceilings that were not finished in two basement rooms..not sure he can start before Christmas but if not beginning of January..gives me time to save my pennies.
Jeff is on his way, what a day to finish winterizing, shaking my head..wait till I ask him to bring in Christmas totes lol
In the meantime I just finishing knitting a mother grey blue scarf..just have tassels to add then all I have left is 2 skeins of red/orange and going to calls carves ’fini’
Here you go Susan , not sure what it is, minor in scheme of things
Pat that quilt is very special to me..it’s a dg project, round robin, we each had to supply an insert then pass it on to another dg friend who added what they felt they should add then on to the next and next and next..think there was 6 of us..will take phot in a bit..Susan,believe you did a row on it..wished I had kept track
I am glad to hear you are checking it out. Probably nothing but can't be too careful!
I only ever participated in ONE round robin & it was a miserable experience. So much beautiful work and ONE person did not forward. She was the last one before me so I never got mine. After all the wonderful quilt blocks swaps, "jelly roll" and "5 inch charm" block exchanges we have had, it stunned me to have this experience! Oh well... it does not diminish the wonderful swaps we had.
With the work I have been doing trying to get quilt tops done up and made, I am coming across block stuff I even forgot about! I have several beautiful 6 inch blocks that are blue snowmen in "red work" style.
I think the round robin was what killed the swaps.
Betty & Dianne, thank you. Big empty hole here missing my boy.
I see he was one of the more vocal noisy ones as is so quiet here.
Other kitty Lexi is not doing well either. She had fleas and severe allergic
reaction and is anemic and infection. also during testing find out she is HyperThyroid.
Same still fighting pancreatitis. My mind is friend. Doesn't include the humans issue!
Betty sounds was like a good time at craft show. I'll pray for Jeff and those totes. Get him the wagon!
Waving to all and big hugs
Debbie
Debbie, big hugs..know having loving fur babies sure outweighs theirs lost but Lordy it hurts..and now Lexi, hoping meds help. I’ve attached the caption and photo Jeff did on Facebook..explains phase 1 lol
No complaining, just a lot of ‘what’s next mom’
All my winterizing done, Jeff working in rain, sleet,in sunshine and just left leaving mom blessed.
Been 2 morning up just after 4 a.m., running a bath, will soak awhile then will get comfy in bed and watch a movie..tomorrow is another day.
I so love this quilt, think it’s the color choices everyone made and my embroidery small blocks of Christmas decorations..I for one sure miss these swaps..sorry it wasn’t a good experience for you Pat...sad indeed!
Beautiful quilt Betty.
Looks like you need a bigger shed.
Phase 1, LOVE it!! LOL
Morning all, half rain/half snow...
Up warmly, had 2 coffee/muffins and now time to get out of nightie into day clothes as the girls will be here shortly. Although I was upstairs enjoying daybreak I was working..got fringe on grey scars, cut out another Victorian Santa, was short 1 for 4 throws and started a red scarf and its 8:20 am.
Brought in one tote, had told Jeff anything that said tree stayed in shed..well the Cafe tree was in a bin, shook my head and set it up lol. Ziggy found hanging ornaments a form of entertainment..a few no no no and he decided best he enjoy laying,on the rug.
I say there are 5 phases to my Christmas, sure was fun having him spend the day..not once did he question what I wanted done , how almost 30 bins is wayyy too many bins..wanted to go through what belonged downstairs so he could carry them but I fought just to leave on back deck and I’ll bring one in at a time and ohh and ahhh.
Best I get a move on
Enjoy your day, hope you are doing something special..
It is fun and amazing to revisit old "friends" as we drag them out of the bins, isn't it? LOL THIS year I will get my pink ornaments on the tree. Last year I could not find all the stuff I bought at the end of the prior year and I was BUMMED. Of course that was right after the kitchen modeling etc so everything was in a mess in the storage barn. *sigh*.
Winter just seemed to come rapidly this year. We only had about 2 weeks of real moderate fall weather and then below freezing weather! I had hoped to get into the barn and go thru EVERY box and tote and do a better job of labeling and organizing. I know I do want to eliminate some stuff, like the jewelry making stuff. My granddaughters would enjoy it, and I haven't touched it, sooooo off it goes!
Same with scrapbooking Pat, know if I get rid of circuit machine and all other tools I will want to get back into it so there sits the 6 drawer organizer
Gave 10 fabric Victorian Santa’s away to the girls this morning, more tomorrow, plus what I’m using, pile is dwindling

All the jewelry making stuff was 2nd hand from thrift stores. Someone had donated several full kits that had been part of an auto ship membership thing or something. It's not something I have NEVER done much of so it's unlikely I'll miss it. I did buy a few pieces of jewelry with the hopes of restringing it to make bracelets I could wear. It's difficult to find a bracelet big enough for my wrists and I LOVE bracelets.
HOW many Santa's did you start with did you say?? 100?
Yep..have to count
Went to office today to see if they had anything for me to do..they worked me to the bone..
. knitting
. looking at patterns (next project)
. making a bow on snowman hand towel
WATCHING CHRISTMAS MOVIES ON HALLMARK!
Nice cushy job.
Betty, that's practically slave labor.
That it is....
My hand shakes on payday lol
I wanna a job like that!!! LOL.... no nasty people trying to con me. I don't have to worry about what client and /or caregiver is committing fraud. Yep, I'd LIKE that job! Like I said, I would LOVE to work part time in a quilt store. OR maybe someday design quilts, graph them out, the whole 9 yards. I LOVE my new panel book. REALLY great information and I can hardly wait to put it to use! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0615638309/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'd like that job too Pat.
The book looks interesting, I love working with panels.
Coops Liz, thoughtihad last steps done, almost finished this one, might be easier to see because of colours..will go back and see what part of the scarf I last posted
For free, one nasty MOTHER... grrrr
Having a hot bath, and grabbing a quick nap..1 1/2 hr visit wayyyy to much for me
Time for you to go see the Doctor Betty.
I know that the majority of humans see themselves differently from what others see them, I’d like to think that I am a somewhat generous person, perhaps not so!
To start with mom visited Sharon yesterday and went on and on how Sharon should give her Money seeing as Sharon son Brian took money from mom. Sharon had told mom that it is in her will should something happen to her that the money Brian truck would be replaced to either mom or mom’s estate so mom left and a huff..She was also complaining about the van that Sharon bought her, if you remember Sharon and I picked out a beautiful van low mileage in mint condition but mom wouldn’t accept it.. she said if she was going to get a car she would get one that she wanted not one that we wanted and so the story went on.
Yes I haven’t been feeling good but I was very pleasant, the girls were here Sewing and mom and aunt Muriel dropped in everyone had a lovely chat. Mom was looking around apparently when mom was at Sharon‘s yesterday she saw the trio Presents that we had done in the workshop and really didn’t make a comment.
I hadn’t seen Aunt Muriel in a long time, actually since before last Christmas so I went and got the present I had bought her for Christmas and gave it to her, then I gave mom and aunt Muriel one of those embroidered wallet shopping bags that I had made thinking that it would be a treat for them.
At that point I could see mom sulking knew it was because aunt Muriel was getting presents as well as she, we went upstairs and I had a scarf that I was knitting on the coffee table, both really like them so I thought with the cold weather and I thought why not give it to them now so I went and got two scarves I had made in blue tones.. aunt Muriel was ecstatic, mom said she had expected I would give her one of the trio sets and not a scarf, then she went on to say how rude it was that she wasn’t invited to the craft day, I said that is the week after I took you to the hospital, you had shingles and was sicker than a dog so why would I invite you knowing how ill you were. Aunt Muriel and I kept chatting And laughing and mom was sulking, face like a prune, New she wouldn’t appreciate aunt Muriel getting the same thing as hers either as she’s a very jealous person. So as she laughed she said that she expected me to call her when next I was teaching the present class as she was very disappointed that I hadn’t given her a set.
Could I have given her a set, yes I could! But no way am I going to condone such childish behavior. When someone gives you a gift you should except it and know that they spent a lot of time making something just for you, but not my mom!
So now I’m in bed, her visit tired me out..

Whew!..hugs Betty..you are a saint!
Oh my. Don't know what I would have done. Sorry you have to go through that.
So sad Betty, there is just no pleasing some people and useless to try. Nothing you do will be right.
Betty - mom or not, no one should act that way, or be so sulky. Not a very gracious person, is she? Shaking my head..... you truly are a saint!
Speaking of Hallowe'en decorations - we have a permanent visitor and we'll have him for a few years, I'm sure. Doesn't eat much, and not very talkative, but boy does he laugh!
Yep... My sweet sister sent a Instata pot, cook book for 2 etc all to her DIL. DIL was furious, "anybody who knows me, KNOWS I don't use a CROCKPOT". Then she proceed to send an email to her husband (Marie's son) and tell HIM, he was call his mother and read the email to her. "it was the WORST gift I have EVER received and I'm going to toss it ALL into the garbage!"
Bless Marie, she told son that the receipts were all in the boxes (from Amazon) and she was welcome to return them. I doubt I could have been as civil as she, but maybe. Marie does not want to drive a better wedge between her sons & daughter. That DIL is …. I can't think of an adjective that does her justice.
Did you just receive this visitor?? He is a new comer?
Morning all, winter wonderland out there..toasty inside though with fireplace on..I could just sit and stare into the flame, relaxes me so.
Susan, I love him, now how did you come about getting him? Know there is a story somewhere?
Pat, your sister is far more patient than I..I left mom’s attitude pass by, should have said “when someone gives you something you say thank you, not go on about but you think they should have given you” but she is who she is..
Guess it’s partly because everyone around me is so nice that those who aren’t resonate more...
Today will be a good day..finishing my coffee and muffin and will do downstairs and start one of the 4 or 5 Victorian Santa throws I’m doing..after making all of those wine socks last year I used up mega Christmas fabric so now I have to search for something that will do ..glad nov22 I can stock up again at Joanns
(((Betty}}} I never did anything my mother was happy or thankful for..... we need to check their DNA I am positive our mothers are related.
Cataract surgery went perfectly. It is like Christmas came early !!! The left eye will be done Dec 3. I can hardly wait !!! Right now my eyes are fighting for dominance.
Nice ride Susan !! Does it come with a snow plow ? Just kidding !
Glad to hear your eye surgery went well Dianne.
I think we all have one of the ladies in the family. Mine was my grandmother. She was a sweetheart when she wanted to, but most of the time she was just mean. She always told us, kids should be seen, not heard. We were not allowed to speak in her house. So when she was around the kids went outside.
