Our weather is beautiful. I am on here early because housekeeper is here and am banished to the great room. Vern is better today. Saturday was a rough day. He did not like anything I did or tried to feed him or TV. But woke up Sunday morning, very hungry and back to him normal self.
I have the majority of my rehab done. I have my nail done tomorrow and have a care sitter to sit with Vern so I can do a little bit of shopping. Then I do not have an appointment until the 17th so I have plenty of time left to fine tune my garden.
I see you guys are getting another storm. There is a reason I live in Las Vegas.
That child that just landed back in jail will probably spend the majority of the rest of his life in jail. Sometime broken people just cannot be fixed.
Betty, I went to bed last night at 10pm and woke up, with the doorbell, at 10:30am. I was shocked I had slept that long. Guess my body needed it.
My sister is coming next Tuesday for a visit. Our nephew is getting his 20 year pin from the Las Vegas Police department. My brothers will be there also so all four of us will be together. I tried to order a new dress on line but not available for shipping until May 31st. Then I tried another dress and it was sold out. I just got the Catalog Friday. I so seldom find anything I like that I am running out of clothes to wear.
My meatloaf is cooked and baked potato will be done in about 30 minutes. Vern will be eating early tonight.
Our NHL team the Golden Knights made the playoffs again. The marketing manager lives across the street up one house and this was delivered by truck bed yesterday. I heard it so went outside to see what all of the roar was. Have a great day tomorrow.
Hugs from Warm Las Vegas...
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Pull up a chair and come chat with friends, new and old....
Yes, and you pray they GET behind bars before the public is too negatively impacted. Poor Noah could have lost his life, and this jerk got off on a year in Juvey!
I've seen both sides... my youngest needed to learn life the hard way and although he has straightened out his life, his bad choices have cost him dearly. He's been trouble free for over 10 years now. His crimes were never violent, -
Pat, after ten years, he will probably not return to his former actions.
Vern is eating and very confused. Looks like it might be a long evening. This is a new thing so I have not completely determined what I am suppose to do. But you do learn quickly. I am not sure if he knows who I am tonight. If not, this is a first.
I sure do wish you guys get some warm weather soon.
Awe. She is so precious. Congratulations.
THAT is a seriously good looking newborn!
Yes, I hope Adam's difficulties are behind him. He would like to expunge record but it's costly and I don't know if he would qualify for it.
Pat, those are beautiful. I love the color's.
Afternoon all, Lordy where did the morn8ng go?? I know, had company for a few hours, went to foodland and chatted...
If you can beliecpve it, snow storm a happening, winds are high..Mother Nature forgot its spring. Grrr
Know some of you won’t remember but many of the long t8me residents here just might..remember Cathy, the lady who would be here a few hours a day almost everyday, when I had to somewhere I’d include her, even took her to Florida..she cleans houses, would stay with the furries when I travelled, part off my family??? Then all of a sudden she stooped coming, never heard from her, if I did see her she’s hide..enjoyed her company she lived with her parents, rode a 2 wheel bike all the time, on her own??
Well this morning I pulled into foodland lot, she was just getting off her bike, when she saw me you could see that she was like a caged in animal, trying to find an escape route..I walked up to her, she didn’t want to talk, I said hi Cathy, been awhile, heard you weren’t well for awhile, hooe you are feeling better? Went on to ask about her parents, siblings etc..still she wanted to escape, I just kept right on ask8mg her questions, talk8ng etc..she started to feel more at ease..said I best be going..drop in on your walks with your mom (Cathy said she niw had dimensia) I’ll make tea, your mom enjoyed her visits here and I left. Soooo did what I could to be friendly, never did find out what her problem was except some of her relatives said she is like that, as long as she is your only friend all is well, when others are included she is off to find new friendships
I got over the hurt of her doing such a thing, life is to darn shirt for things like this..we will see if she does drop in.
Hip.leg is giving me the what for today, as I’m walking it gives out..
I put a quilt on the frame to try a pantogram, need to find a way to put a chair behind the frame so I can follow the design..unless it’s sitting playing with design is a no go

Pat, I think it all looks terrific.
Went and got my burning permit..didn’t do much this afternoon..
Have my dr.ho on hoping it relieves neck pain then I’ll do 20 minutes on hip
Mom just called, aunt Muriel was visiting her brother Junior and took a seizure, she is in Orillia hospital, they are doing cscan on her..I’m waiting to hear from mom once she gets news on her condition..I’ll likely have to drive to Barrie in the morning and get mom’s dog so mom can continue her trip to Orillia hospital.

Hoo boy Betty, that's the unhousebroken one isn't it? If she has a crate for it, be sure to bring it along. It will be more confusion and set backs for the poor thing.
Hoping your aunt makes a quick and full recovery, and Dr.s can get to the root of the problem as to what caused it.
Pat, I think the headboards are fantastic. Great job. I am sure you are so happy you are close to the end.
Betty, I had the same thing happen with a young lady that worked for me for over 15 years. Then she disappeared. I ran into her and she could not even look me in the eye. I think maybe some kind of breakdown. Same with me. Life is to short to worry why she was gone. I have had the same phone number since 1981. Not hard to find.
Vern decided he could get up on his own last night while I was loading the dishwasher and cleaning up from dinner. Fat lip and a bump above his left eyebrow. Today he does not remember falling. It was just before my son-in-law came over to help put him to bed. I just put a pillow under his head and left hm there. His son was here and he was trying to find something he liked on TV and that is just about impossible.
I was a busy little bee today. Cleaned the patio after the high winds yesterday. Pine tree pollen everywhere. I should have washed everything down. Window cleaners will be here tomorrow and they would have cleaned water spots off the windows. I just was not thinking.
I sat down at 5pm and realized it was the first time I had sat down all day. Serves me right for building such a large patio.
Karen, the new grand baby is adorable. Especially the way her bigger sister is looking at her.
Betty so sorry to hear about you Aunt Muriel. And then you got another snow storm. That is unbelievable. We will be 80 degrees tomorrow.
I have no appointments until the 17th so I will be home and working in my garden or home for some time. I love when I do not need to leave the house. I had to refill my hummingbird feeders today because they are here and very hungry.
Morning, high of 45 today, sun coming out..I’ll take it!
Aunt Muriel has blood bleed, not do8ng well..mom will arrive early this morning, said she wanted to come here rather than just give me the dog and upset the little one, don’t even know if she has given her a name. She will then leave for the hospital Nd nope no crate, mom would be beyond flabbergasted is I asked for the dog to be crated. Not sure how Ziggy will take to it.
Sharon, Vern has been lucky in all his falls to not have injured himself.guess his son is seeing all his changes ...yes, a lot of work on that big patio but you have a bit of heaven right there for you to enjoy. Did you finally get a dress? I could never find a dress through online shopp8ng, being shirt, heavy chested etc etc nooe would never find one, hard enough to do so while shopping in a store. Wow 80 lucky you, is the 80 with humidity?
Got up at 7:30, late for me, shoulders are really bed, I’m having coffee while pushing my back into back of couch, seems to help a tad.
Think I might just take it easy, who knows instead of going downstairs and play I might go out and pick up branches/tree limbs. Yesterday I picked up fire starter blocks, usually pour a little bit of gas but know that should be a no no so hope these fire blocks work..normally a bit of paper would do it but these branches are wet to the core, hmmm maybe they won’t burn. Imagine paying $20 for a fire burning permit.
LOL.. "take it easy" "go out and pick up branches/tree limbs" hmmmm "shoulders are really bad"... anyone else see a disconnect here??
Only I, lol
Thinking of cooking a nice lunch so mom eats before she heads to Orillia, mashed potatoes and roast beef, sounds yummy to me..
I went and got my fire permit yesterday then I asked for the roads department, clerk said she would write down my issues and let them know, early this morning there were 2 workers mak8ng nites, went out and spoke to them Lordy one of them was an old friends son, she passed a good 20 years ago, was nice talking with him, end result is he will slate digging up ditch, secondary ditch where all the water drains, landscape and seed..won’t be tomorrow he said, will put it on task list, well at least the acknowledgedit needed done.
Finished my little Easter wool rug
Good morning,
I have been out and about doing things with DD and trying to get life back on track.
Had some medical testing done, DH had his scope, he is good for 5 years. I had my smushing....all good there too.
Betty, Aunt Muriel has had a bout of bad health. Sure hope she is OK. And Mom too.
Finally have sunshine here, but a mix due in tonight I think they said of sleet/rain.
OOOOH That baby is adorable! Her and her big sister both!
Miss you all
Debbie
Betty - hope that Cathy warms up to you again. Sad when a friend hurts other friends. Happens, but still not nice 😒
Betty I remember when that happened. It was shortly before our "sisters" gathering or one of my first visits to you up there and we ran into her down in Meford (?) at the docks. She saw you and turned and scurried away on her bike.
My new visitor, Bella, adorable little thing
Awe. She has a name.
Betty, you are complaining of being sore, and the going out the door to pick up limbs? I hope you double up on your meds.
what a cutie and a name to match 👍
Mom took her to vets , she had a chip in her ear, they checked and was told her name was Bella, when they called the number provided that person said they never had a dog
So sad people discard animals like that.
Awwww she looks so sweet, easy to fall in love with her.
If it were not for her bad teeth, think i would keep her..beyond loving

Some one is not sleeping well.
Morning, might reach 39 today but freezing rain mid morning.
Staying quiet as mom is sleeping and Bella keeping guard..tried to have her come to to so I could let her out for a few minutes but she is quite content to watch over mom.
Not sure what the plans of the day are, was thinking if a sale at Fabricland I’d go this afternoon and look for outdoor fabric to recover my settee that sit near the pond..at least price it out, might be just as cheap to buy a new one. Now that is only if no freezing rain.
Guess I could do it in the morning before she heads out to visit aunt Muriel so I can be back to look after Bella.
Looked outside, it’s the ugliest me of the year, branches/limbs all over the place..
All hopeful here!!! I actually got 1 red tulip in bloom, I should have 100s of pink tulips before long. My Stargrazer lilies have broke ground and lots of other things showing signs of life. I really should dig up the tulips and divide them. They have multiplied nicely and are too crowded now. I am pleased, sometimes the more "unique" tulips (rather than common yellow or red) don't multiple as well.
NOT current photos!! Some pictures of over the different times of blooming from previous years. Some are shot from house to road (you can tell which direction by the bird house on the post.) If the birdhouse is seen on the left, shot towards the road and neighbors house. When the rose is forefront & bird house on right, obviously TOWARDs our house. The big bush on the end is butterfly bush, the big one in the middle of the road side is Knock Out rose. 1, 3 & 4 are same view at different times.
Beautiful flowers Pat. In the last photo, what is climbing up the front of your house?
Wrote a long post, glitch in wifi, into cyberspace it went.
Love the photo’s, I’m so envious of anyone who can grow roses/climbers..I’m just not good at it ..I too wondered what you were growing in front of house, very curb appealing
I’ve a long way before I’m seeing growth, likely beginning of May, but I have been looking for garden ideas, art and such!
Lordy, mom took Bella for a walk, thought she had been out for quite awhile, looked out and there she was picking up branches/limbs..grrr
Felt sad this morning, they have remed all trees behind me on bush land as they are building a seniors home, there were 3 deer across road from me, crossing into my yard going to their bushland which is no longer..got to feel bad for wildlife.
It’s raining, dreary kind of day, had great ideas for this afternoon, trip to Barrie to buy outdoor fabric but I haven’t left the couch..every part of me feels as though a transport hit me...same yesterday..what a waste of time..
You would get a laugh, here I’m tucked in on the couch, with heated froggie on my shoulder head cradling in mr froggie to take in the heat.i really need micro closer to the couch lol
Clematis, the biggest one is Jackmanii? I could not find my photo of mine in full bloom. https://www.directgardening.com/2443-vines-climbers/4952-jackmanii-clematis?utm_source=GooglePS&bt_product_attribute=21319&gclid=CjwKCAjw-ZvlBRBbEiwANw9UWsAi-9lqrIBZfMIUGg_NAs0FFYTFHV9U5YzF00AyzcY1rN10uBZRcBoCYdUQAvD_BwE#/quantity-1
2nd picture is one is left of big one, next to front door. I think this one is a Nellie Moser. https://www.americanmeadows.com/perennials/clematis-vines/clematis-nelly-moser?adpos=1o1&scid=scplp1409&sc_intid=1409&gclid=CjwKCAjw-ZvlBRBbEiwANw9UWgKA2104SJDQwvSxPO3zQPj2mM7xYHyQSUQ9vC-g4UKoQ7z1X6g5WBoCngMQAvD_BwE
3rd one is behind the house. I don't know the variety. It looks more like https://www.pinterest.com/pin/312437292882160268/
My favorite but VERY aggressive grower is Sweet Autumn, I don't have one here but grows vigorously and blooms with 1,000s of small white flowers so sweet smelling its overpowering! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/573505333777573274/
Most of the clematis put on a HUGE flush of blooms and then just a few the rest of summer.
Pat, those are beautiful.
One of the things I want to plant is the Sweet Autumn. My aunt had it and it was so spectacular every year. It do grow crazy big.
Morning, imagine it’s suppose to be 51 today and 59 tomorrow, a must to pick up limbs and debris from winter..won’t overdo, little bit each day this week will likely do it other of course the leaves which I have to confirm I’m on the list for early cleanup seeing as they did not get it done in the fall.
Thanks for the great post Pat, hmm wonder,if,sweet autumn would grow here..must check, would love a few plants.
Mom got up at six to let Bella out, I think mom exaggerates, her excuse to keep Bella as she says he pees all over, poor think in the last 2 days goes out quite a bit to pee but she asks for the door.
I sent mom back to bed, she looks so tired, can see a big difference in her..I will run to foodland at 7:30 and get muffins then at 8:30 I’ll take a quick run to Barrie to look for outdoor fabric..measured, think,I need 14-16 meters, mom if I buy extra as I can make some throw cushions. Wish lens mills and fabricland opened earlier but not til 9, hoo8ng to be back by 11:00
Wow gorgeous plants! Still muddy and snow here, but, melts away daily.
Betty, I think your Mom is soft on Bella, what a sweetheart.
Hope your Aunt makes out ok.
Lorna's Mom is here for a week. Am making the slow cooker roast tomorrow, is it 4 hours on Low or High ? My memory is kaput ski !!
M
I decide by size of roast, if bigger I use high, otherwise low should do it. You can throw in carrots & taters now too.
Betty I wonder if maybe Bella has a bladder or kidney infection. Maybe your mom can get it checked out and solve the problem. Betting your mom is enjoying having her to talk to even if she doesn't talk back.
