Looks like. You were busy sewing. Beautiful quilts.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Today was spent with daughter, grand & great. We did some driving around in the mountains. Beautiful scenery.
I definitely did my part to support the vendors at the quilt show the two days we were there. I try to be sensible about it but don't always succeed. Easy to get carried away with the nifty products. I try to think if I will really use it enough.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

karen, I am sure you used more sense than I did!! It was fun but likely I'll be more restrained next year.
Susan, 5 YO just wasn't feeling good, threw up twice and I found it before I left for work. She didn't wake her parents and didn't know where the bathroom was (less than 10 feet away!) Nothing serious and they returned 2 nights later for dinner only before continuing their travels back home..

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Pat - glad the 5 yo was fine. Distressing to find stuff "after the fact" like that! ewwwww
For her it was a strange house, eh?
Yes Betty - I'm learning to say "no"

Verona, ON

Morning everyone.

Woke at 3 am again so have had just a little over 2 hours of sleep.* Sigh*

It started to snow around 5 pm yesterday and snowed all night. Temperature really bottomed out. Good thing is that the snow was light and fluffy.

Pat what are you up to this weekend?

Chaos just brought me his leash so I best break out the glow sticks and off we will go.

Betty the Broccoli soup was good just not as good as the Potato or Tomato. I also tried the Mainstreet Mashed Potatoes. They are right there by the soups here. They are really tasty and only take about 4 min in the nuke. I get 4 meals out of the container and it forces me to cook up some meat. What's mashed potatoes without meat?

Susan I am so happy to read about all of your activities. The move to this location was really good for you and Bob.

LK how is your grandson that was so ill ?

Oh Karen what a wonderful way to spend your day. Lots of happy memories I bet.

Stay safe and well.

Morning all, didn’t get much snow, suppose to be a sunny day here in my neck of the woods, I’m ok with that,,cold out though, let Ziggy out and it wasn’t long he wanted back in, now he is on the bench at front window gazing at the wonders,of spring..want out again but will have to wait until I finish coffee/muffin.

Will be a quiet day, mom is suppose to be coming up today, bringing the little dog she found outside in the cold at Christmas, mits not trained but she is trying to do so, big sigh..she put posters all over the place, knocked on doors in her subdivision, brought dog to vets, vet called number on the chip in her ear, people said not their dog..comes to be, all the dogs teeth are rotten, I think the owners just droooed him off..not sure what mom will do now.

Think she is only staying a few days so not too bad.

Dianne I’ll have to check that out..ours are now baking sheppards pie, chicken pot pie..delicious..beats cooking for 1.

Karen you will have to post photos of your goodies, love seeing what is new on the market.

I packaged the rail clips I bought for the quilting frame, they kept snapping off, representative keeps telling me they are the ones for the frame bit’now I should have 2” vs 1 1/2 so back they go for exchange..by the time I mail them back and they mail back to m2 likely be another $75. Shipping so expensive here in Canada.

My tv had a black screen last night, New TVs these days don’t last, I think it’s 2 years old..Greg will check if it’s something I’ve done,if not guess I’ll be buying a new tv.

Time to start my day..need to go to town for groceries, post office then think I will try and get Suzanne’s quilt,off,frame..

Dianne, he is doing much better. Therapy and meds have helped a lot.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Great news LIndakay..

What a morning, did about 3 turns on quilt, headed to town..needed a tv for bedroom, mine went on Frits..bought fixing for beef stew..put groceries away, hole in sugar, sugar all over the place..started stew, didn’t realize it was on high, boiled all over on stove..grr

Good thing is I had breakfast at McDonald’s in Walmart, bought some seed packets, a a flea market magazine for garden decor..oh happy days..in fact the plant stand I wanted to make is in it...Lordy they already have their patio sets out..have to decide if I want to recover all my cushions or buy new set?? Hmmm

Cleaned off front patio, sun is nice and strong..knoW winter isn’t obverse but today is a sign it’s on its way.

Still have a McDonald’s coffee, think I’ll sit, drink it and look at the book and decide treasures I want to find and /or make, grrr just looked at price $12.95, seems like yesterday these books were $5.99 right..

Magazines are outrageous. Even quilting magazines are pricey.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Looks like a fun book. I don't spend much on books or magazines. When I'm tempted I just go to Pintest or other internet. I also really like hometalk for clever ideas. I am an internet DIY junkie.

Victoria Harbour, ON

I do as well, but here and there I love to hold a magazine..soon as the snow goes I’ll start working on things

Couldn’t take it any longer, back to town to wash my car, was just sooo dirty. Nice and dry on the highway, now my yard another thing so I backed up, got to park8ng like a snail and car still clean..now if it doesn’t rain and wash up on it..

Why after a long w8nter on first sunny day does absolutely everyone want to wash their cars?

This message was edited Mar 23, 2019 2:57 PM

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Because, like you, they are SICK of having a nasty, dirty car covered in road grime!! I washed mine last week.

Our snow is gone except for some places that had HUGE piles where the plowed snow had been dumped.

I have a crocus in bloom!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, mixture of everything today, high of 38,say rain, sunshine, overcast and let’s not forget snow.

did all my to do’s, worth coffee in hand heading downstairs..have 3 rolls on the quilt to do and want it done before Suzanne comes and that could be 7 lol
Next project will be for me,

Jeff was skiing yesterday, Kyle and Greg snowmobiling, both taking in the last of winter.

Hope it’s a sunshine day in your neighbourhood.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning.
Betty, do you ever sleep?

Victoria Harbour, ON

No,be dead a long time, will restthen as my grandma would say..

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

LOL... my dream is to get ENOUGH sleep here!!
Church and then projects. I got the 5 gallon buckets of paints stirred and hope to deliver all the leftovers to a friend. I kept one quart of each for possible touch up.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, she is a cold one, will have a high of 28 today ..at supper time it started to snow but did not amount to much thankfully, no need to shovel.

What a week it was last week, glad that I got all I got done..quilted Wanneta’s wedding quilt, Suzanne ‘d black and white quilt and even the birdhouse throw for one of the decks..hurrah for me.

Girls should be here around 9 so best I finish my chores..todays chore is clean on top of the refrigerator..hate to think of what I will find in dust seeing I’m not tall enough to see what is there, those who are must think it’s frightful

Hope weather ok in your neighborhood

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

A little foggy this morning, 61 right now.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

A bit rainy here. Going to mail a package, then to get passport pics taken. Hope I don't break the camera.

Verona, ON

Sunny is shining brightly but it is very cold.

I need to get out and toss around some more blocks of wood plus tidy up what winter debris I can. There's still ice lurking out there plus a lot of snow banks.Like Betty we had snow overnight but no need to shovel.

Stay safe and well.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

We have spring!! Supposed to get down to below freezing once this week at night. I have tulips several inches tall and a few crocus in bloom. LOTS of work to do inside and out. I slept most of the weekend so I hope to get LOTS done today before going back to work tomorrow.
Quilt show starts on Friday and I'm taking a part of the day off to go. I really hate to miss any time at work on a Fridays as it is my best day for office work .My sweet but noisy office co-worker is gone on Fridays. taking my camera, hope to get lots of beautiful pictures of wonderful quilts.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Hi - been MIA for a few days. Busy as heck, and not feeling happy - dunno why. I'm better now. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night, and the morning didn't start well, but as I said, better now

You all sound so busy and productive! I've been pretty much hibernating the past week. Went to Louisville to a dog show a little over a week ago, and I usually worry about the dogs picking up something, well, I came home with a strain of flu not covered by this season's flu shot. I'm still dragging, but my doctor has me on Tamiflu and an inhaler, hope that helps get rid of this bug quickly. I heard there were alot of people at the Louisville show that came down with the flu. Why can't sick people stay home!

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Sorry to hear you caught the flu... nasty stuff. Unfortunately, many times during the incubation time, people don't KNOW they are sick when they are infecting others.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

That nasty bug went around me in the family and neighbors. Some how we missed it. I am so pleased because that would not be good for Vern.

our weather is beautiful. 74 today but windy tomorrow. Storm blowing through but rain will be North of us, we will just get the wind.

I had to go to a nursery to get more potting mix and succulent mix. I mix the two together. It makes a great soil for my pots. Pots are done. About 10 succulent bowls to go but they go quick. My tomatoes are planted, 2 hot peppers for my garden mow and blow guy and one for me. Sweet but can get heated if left on the vine longer. My potatoes are growing but my onions got dug up by mistake when the garden helper double dug my veg bed. I have more potatoes to plant. Just running out of room for them. I have no idea why I am growing potatoes. Just did it. Maybe a famine is coming.

Betty you just make me tired just seeing what you do every day. Pat, so pleased you got a lot of sleep. Some times our body just does what we need.

Susan, I had that unhappy feeling a few months back. Kinda of a dread type of thing. It passed but it really brought me down for a few days. I got our taxes ready for the accountant yesterday and that made me really uptight. Does every year and I hsve no idea why.

Diane, I love seeing you liking my comments on Facebook. I only try to post happy or garden stuff.

Daughter is on her way to help me gt Vern into bed. He didn't want to go to bed last night. They thought he was kidding but he was not. First time it has happened with them. It has happened before but not with them. They did not know what to do. The TV was already off and I was getting ready for bed. So I had to come out and take over, gently. I really think he might not have known who they were. Sometimes he looks at me likes he has no idea who I am. But whoever I am, he likes me.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning,it’s a cold one, but it’s bright out there...roadside garbage pick up, glad I did it early as the ground is mud...

Nice to open front door and get more light in the front room.

Sharon, what great weather, nice to hear your pottings are done and that gardens are doing well..I’m so not good with potted plants, wish I was..been buying packets of seeds, another 5 packages to be bought this weekend, think I’ll ask local nursery how to do pots..hmmm think Aline had bought me a book on planters written by local tv personality whose family owns the biggest garden Centers, should start with reading that. Imagine you spend most of your time outdoors now with Vern near by watching your every move.

Susan, I get like that from time to time, it’s the feeling of doom and gloom, that something terrible is lurking..terrible feeling...sure is nice when It ‘s over.

Pat, we might get a few days in 50 over the next 2 weeks, lots of cleanup..does your son who lives with you help with outdoor work..I’ve still a few feet of snow in my yard, melt slowly I say. Going to be looking forward to pictures of your show..not many quilt shows in our region..looked again at intercourse, PA, say they have one of the largest Amish quilt displays in the state, sure have that on my list of to do’s.

Sorry to hear Deb you caught the flu, this years strain sure is hard on everyone,I like Sharon am blessed so far that it missed me. Think Sharon is planning to go to a big show, will have to aske her where..kniw she is disappointed that the venue has no place to wash the dogs.was told to go to a Pet Smart and for $10 per dog can wash them there...show did your furries do?

Yikes to tingling in my feet. Lol

Feel as though it should be noon, busy getting everything done, Lordy even vacuumed back porch, girls come this morning and I’m thinking of taking back porch covering off so I can see outside..nut, would mean looking at all the yuk, not pretty this time of year.

Sharon wants to go to buffalo Saturday as she has a few things to mail, might go with her, could use more fabric,I’m amazed, no white except Christmas white so it will be an outing, now to tell mom I won’t be home Saturday.

Got my Dr. Ho, sittting here with feet on pads getting a treatment, once girls leave I will do lower back and neck..going to try to make it a morning and evening ritual, here is hoping.

While out on back porch cpvacumming I saw all the glass pieces from the stained glass window frame, well 1/2 of the pieces so my goal will be to take it down and fix..knew I shouldn’t have left it up but it looked pretty, felt it brought in a bit spring in that room. Lol

Best I get a coffee and head downstairs, girls will be here soon.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Kevin does not help outside, his allergies . He is good about helping me move stuff or lending hand when something is too big or heavy for me. I'm still having trouble with the left hand that had surgery. I need to follow up and have the next surgery. (stomping my foot and whining, I don't wanna!)
