Yes, it is cold for us.
I had my follow up appointments. All is well. No more tummy pain.

Betty, Lorna's Moms 3 bedroom brick bungalow, with 1 bathroom on a largish lot went in 5 days, for $1.5 million !! I was, and still am astounded !! There are buyers, make sure Sharon has a good relator ..

Likely tired, you are always doing something, regardless if he says no problem his mind is telling him to slow down and rest it..
Actually just turned on Simcoe North, program on Alzheimer, wish I wasn’t going out, would be interesting to watch

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

WOW, Marilyn - Lorna's mom must have been over the moon at that price!! When was that?

Don't know if I posted this:
Bob now has a 48 hour heart monitor on, and is to go to 3Hills on Wed (his birthday) to get it removed. He's on Thyroid & Cholesterol meds, and will see his Dr the middle of the month to see if they're working.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty I have to get up a few times a night for bladder calls. Some nights I'm too cold and put off getting out of my nest to grab another blanket. Once I do I snug in a sleep well. I cannot go to sleep earlier as I would then be up in the wee hours. I only sleep about 6 hours and don't feel tired so I guess it's enough. Running today hoping that's it for most of the week so I can stay in and sew.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Betty, best of luck to your sister getting her house sold. Did she put contingency bid on the house she found?

Karen, when I am really cold, I preheat my blanket in the dryer. I try to keep an extra on the foot of the bed as well.

Susan, I hope all goes well with Bob. If there is a problem, they detect it and appropriately treat it!

My goodness M, where was your mom's home??

Linda, do you even own clothes warm enough for 30 degrees in your area??? I remember one summer, I stayed in Canada, and they were having a "heat wave". It was 90, I was comfortable! They weren't used to those temps and here, we get over 100 about 1/2 the days in the summer.

Marie spend even more than me. We found an outlet that had yummy soft stretch fabric, even some that really looked like dark denim. Mostly she bought gadgets, she bought a special hooping aid for the embroidery machine. She bought 2 grab bags and after seeing what all was in her grab bags, I would have bought some!! Special ironing board cover, several wall hanging kits, can't remember the rest!
STILL cold here, but no snow falling. THAT's an improvement.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Pat, I can't keep a blanket at the foot of the bed. I have one of those contraptions that holds the blankets off my feet. I have always hated blankets weighing on my feet. Since I got this, I sleep so much better and far less leg cramps too.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Ooooh wish I had been with you Pat. Great grand is wanting to make some leggings and I just found the easiest tutorial. That denim bet would have been perfect. I'll have to get shopping for it.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

LOL, no heavy coats, so when it gets cold, I double up on the sweaters.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Karen, I will see if I can get the website info from Marie for the stretch fabric. Marie has been making leggings out of repurposed stretchy dresses from the thrift store, they look GREAT!

Morning all, put garbage to the roadside and wow it’s bitter cold but no snow, likely later today..

Ziggy is sitting looking out but it didn’t take long for him to want back in when he made the trip out with me this morning.

Sharon did make conditional offer but now the realtor said there was a lot of action so he likely priced too low..didn’t think they could change $$$ but guess they can

I’ve never been good at working with stretchy fabric or velvet so I avoid both..I did work with minimal amount of fabric when we made those Victorian santa’s

Enjoyed my evening out with Suzanne, exchanged my birthday items, 3 blouses and a pair of stretchy cords..

Did get a voice recorded, wanted simplified but cord connects to computer for what I don’t know, will be a job for Jeff to show me lol

So I should not be organized with tasks, grocery and sewing needs but likely the issue will be finding the recorder..I’ll fix that, will make some type of carrying case..Lordy I’m getting bad at remembering..I say I must put this on a list and by the time I leave the room I’ve forgotten, not good.

Well the girls will be here at 9, got housework done and didn’t have coffee yet so best I get a move on..need to sew I row to tack lining to carry all Spider-Man bag I made for her and take some measurements, would like to make myself a new wallet, other one looking pretty sad

More new blouses

Saw a birthday bag that Janice must have snuck in yesterday, maybe I’ll look inside and see what is in it before girls get here

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

How fun a surprise present.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

wonderful, Betty! Nice to find a surprise Birthday present after the fact!!!
Crafting day @ the Library today.

Tis indeed a lovely surprise, was tempted to get into them this morning..glad my voice recorder has about 24hrs play time, put so much on recorder just this morning ..was too funny, have to make a carry case on a belt for it so just shoved in in my bra becasuse I have no pocket on top or slack so June would say, ‘tell your boobie’ Lol

That’s gorgeous Susan, Bob will love it.

Wanneta finished her first sewing project, she is thrilled, next week is the borders then I’ll quilt it

Beautiful patch Susan.

Betty, she did an amazing job on that quilt.

Some placemats I just finished for my brother. They bought a 10 acre farm last year when he retired. His wife loves chickens.

Oh LIndakay, you did a fantastic job, love the fabric as will they. Wow won’t they be excited.

This afternoon I made a wallet, yuk, used fabric I had, nice on their own but uglier than sin so will make one next week using softer fabrics..oh well entertained myself.

Now I’m into eating chocolates

Melanie came to pick up the 2 pillow for her friend, doesn’t leave a whipole lot of pillows left.

I’ve been good re going to bed later, keeping busy now that meds are working, but tonight I’m on the tired side so likely by 7 I’ll be in lala land lol

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Going to bed whenever YOU wish is the joy of being alone & retired. Not what you would have chosen, but it is a benefit.

Wanneta, first quilt?? HOLY COW! Did great job.

Placemats are perfect! Good job.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Terrific place mats Linda, love the fabrics.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Betty - those are really great looking and so useful looking, wallets!
I checked around & found some free wallet patterns to sew. Love the fact that you can colour coordinate them!

Morning all, bitter cold but sunshine day ..hard to believe it’s daylight savings time this weekend.

Been to foodland, hurrah Dianne they had Tuscan tomatoe soup so there is lunch, then decided to do a roast in slow cooker with pkgs of au jus and ranch salad dressing, been awhile since I’ve had that, there’s supper..

Before going to foodland I shovelled and no sooner got it done that Andrew came to plow..hoping there won’t be too many more days of snow..Dina at foodland said ‘wasn’t it a stormy day yesterday?’ Told Melanie same when she dropped in yesterday that I was inbasment all week so didn’t get to see the storm.

Checked mailbox on way to Foodland and had a notice that a parcel needed to be pick up, so I now have the clips for the quilting frame, hope they are worth the $100

Found some yellow white designed fabric so started another wallet, few changes so not so bulky, have middle insert for credit cards done , just made my first coffee and heading downstairs, maybe I’ll look for some old fabric to play with on quilt frame

Lordy, I feel like I’ve put in a full day and it’s only 8:30

Dianne, just having lunch, that Tuscan tomato is more than yummy..think tomorrow I’ll cook up a little macaroni and add some to it, bet it would be filling.

Called Carpenters this a.m. and asked if they would prefer to go somewhere else to get the pump system done, didn’t take them long, here do8ng it now. Another safeguard against flooding.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Ha!! good way to light a fire under them Betty. It's amazing how hard it is sometimes to get work done.
I put a notice in a local site yesterday that we needed some fill under our porch and even sent a pic so they can see it's a substantial job. Three responded so I sent our number and asked them to call... So far one has

yep, smart kitty.

We got freezing rain today. I was going to stop at gym, no way in this stuff.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,a feels -25 here this morning and boy it is..glad I didn’t have an hours shovelling, took 10 minutes but I froze.

Coffee and muffin sure does warm the hands and tummy, I’m ready to go. Downstairs..meals looked after so no need to stop whatever I undertake. Went downstairs to get the load of wash and took a good look at the sump pump area..quite the system they put in, have to laugh, barely enough room in that dig out cemented area between 2 reg sump pumps, a battery operated system and now in l8ne system, am I paranoid or what??

Love my voice recorder, with organized written pages of to do’s/shopping items and calls I have to make not a wonder my poor mind could keep up 😄

What are you all up to today

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Probably not a darn thing besides go to work. Not looking forward to it after driving home last night. Doesn't look like we had more freezing rain but on the other hand, it has NOT warmed up so still a mess out there. Oh well... Just glad I did not schedule any assessments this week.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Getting taxes done today. Free for seniors but takes a while to get appointment. I usually do my self but with moving states and selling a house it's a bit more complicated.

Not doing much, other than finishing that Jean quilt. Almost done. Going to a friends house today, to borrow her commercial machine, as mine won't sew through the heavy seams.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sounds like everyone has a plan..

I’m spending time organizing myself, some time you just have to do that..right now the organizing can be done sitting in the sunshine, yippee

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
