Morning. 32 here this morning. Guess winter is here.
I am. In San Antonio, getting several test done to figure out what is going on with my stomach. Test results should be back in a week.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Will you be driv8ng home tonight? Will ease your mind getting results, worse is the not know8ng..

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Sorry you are hurting so much Betty, is it getting better?

My sister finally got to take her husband home, he has been in hospital, then rehab since early Sept when he fell and tore all ligaments etc on both artificial knees. He has huge braces on both legs and can transfer to wheelchair but that is about all the standing he can tolerate.

Paula got all the wisteria trimmed back again, still need to cut into garbage can size pieces.

My Honda CRV would not start couple of days ago, it was over $350 for battery!!! YIKES, but it's working now so will stop complaining and be grateful I had the money for it.

Constructions is coming to the end. I had a company hired to clean but had to postpone, not ready yet. Getting much closer and it's beautiful.

I had youngest son paint the main bathroom, it is VERY difficult to get in there and paint, no room for ladder etc. I felt terrible for him. Apparently who ever caulked around the shower enclosure used caulk you can't paint over because the paint just peeled right off when we pulled the tape. I have the medicine cabinet bought and it's sitting Home Depot ready for pick up and hanging.

Paula leaves the end of this month and I will miss her AND her help like crazy!! I hope we can get the Christmas tree and decorations out of the barn before she leaves, we can't even get too them right now. The huge shelving units are in the way. When I can clean enough in the sewing area, we'll be able to get shelving units put back in place, then we'll be able access things in the barn!!

Good morning,

Betty, I am about in the same boat as you. Ran out of my Celebrex and thought "no big deal, it didn't do much anyway." Umm, wrong Pain scale is up near an 8. Hopefully DH is picking up my scripts tonight, one needed a special order on it so instead of making 2 trips...I said wait til it comes in.

Over cast and cold here, snow due they say...but will see.

Waving to all....

Debbie

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

nope, didn't find it, Betty. don't really expect to find a diamond chip - too small.
I finished the first Prayer Shawl for work, now to start another one....... after I make the lap quilt for my friend in Calgary.

Betty - stay home, and keep warm. Hope some snow angel will clear the snow away so you can see your specialist tomorrow. I thought you were staying home, but you're off to do grocery shopping?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am home, and yes, waiting sucks.
Pat, sounds like things are finally coming together. I don't know of any caulk that paint will stick too.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Pat you might have to re-caulk as paint won’t stick to it..
You will miss having Paula with you..

LIndakay, long drive for you, you will be tired tonight, now to get the report, you will be anxious till you do. Are you wearing a jacket?

Susan, I just went a few blocks to get milk and bread, staples I needed.
Few flurries today, calling for Lora tonight but maybe it will miss us.

Debbie, bet you were amazed at just how much your Celebrex was helping, did Pail pick up new script?

Liz, found the orange for my snowman pillow but couldn’t find white bobbles (forget what you call them) at Joann’s. if I go to barrie on weekend maybe I’ll find some.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

glad you're home, safe & sound, Betty 👌😊

I finally sent the resignation letter to the president of the Community Centre. Another toxic chapter in my life ended. Apparently the VP is also resigning. That leaves the President and the new treasurer (and the president's wife, who is the reason 2 of us are quitting - I don't need her toxic attitude).
Tomorrow - going to play crib! I do like playing.
Today was nice weather 12c / 54F, tomorrow will be 9c, then it goes downhill from there........ brrrrrrr getting spoiled, having such nice weather into November

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We are in TN, didn't miss all the snow but not too bad. We close next Monday and then the work begins. Mid 40s when we arrived, better than the below freezing when we left.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, had enough snow yesterday that my plowman came this morning...it’s 25 with feel like of 19..I must make it to back shed seeing I forgot to take out the shovel, steos need done.

Not a long wait Karen, where will you stay until then. Did you rent a u-haul or a moving company to br8ng your bel9ng8ngs..guess now you are in an excitement mode, sure don’t blame you..you’ve waited to relocate for so many years. Looks from your photo the new home comes with quite a bit of land? Glad you missed the real bad weather.

Susan, you sure do get yourself in some dandy organizations drama..maybe next group you join you’d best get the lowdown on it to avoid such to do’s.

I’ve been up since 6:30a.m. , hmmm although I’ve kept busy can’t seem to get much accomplished, unusual for me..

Have to leave at 1:30 for the specialist appointment I have in Penetanguishene..although they are calling for squalls I’m hoping they don’t start til I’m back home..might have to pick up Chinese for supper, treat myself.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

How did your Dr. visit go Betty? Did you have bad weather?
28 degrees this morning. Had to get out the heavy sweater.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We rented a semi trailer that was brought to our house. They backed up nearly to our porch and ran a ramp to the porch. We had plenty of help loading and then just had to leave and come down here. The trailer will be delivered and they will hold it until we want to unload it. We also have plenty of help on this end.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Thank goodness for help!!! It is sooooooooo expensive without the assistance of family and friends!
We are so close to being done with the kitchen I can taste it!! LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, dull outside but not snowing so that is a plus.

Dr. Will do a scope on 27th..so no news there.

Karen you are one step closer to being in your new home..will you do the work you want to do before moving in...wonderful you had so much help.

Pat, bet you are getting excited to see the end of your projects as well, anxious to see photos.

28 is cold for you LIndakay isn’t it?

Worked on finishing few painted projects for my sale, if nothing else these odds and sods will be finished.

I should get out of my Jammie’s lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

28 is very cold for us. For us, that is COLD!!! We had a record cold for us this morning of 27. Staying inside and having hot coffee.

Good luck on your sale Betty.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Not til dec 1st LIndakay.

Boy, Mother Nature sure is playing havoc between cold, flooding and fires..

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We want to get as much possible done before moving in. However don't want to be too long before we get in. Meeting with contractors next week to get estimates.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, mega snow over the night, still snowing so am sure I’ll haveto go out again..glad I don’t have to go anywhere today.

Hopefully Karen he contractorsyou meet with will be reputable and get get work done in timely fashion.

LIndakay, how cold did it get in your area or has it now warmed up..I know I should know this but what kind of heat do you have? A furnace?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

32 this morning. I wish we had a furnace. The person who built this house, did not put central heat and air. We have little space heaters in all the rooms. A lot of people here do the same. We are supposed to warm up a bit in a few days. Maybe 60 midweek.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wow, must cost a fortune in hydro..with winters getting colder perhaps you should consider a furnace..

Even with me having furnace at 74 today I’m finding it cold..guess it’s the dampness..

Every time I go downstairs I smell something, hmm could Ziggy have done in a mouse and it’s hiding somewhere grrr

Know at night he has been pulling at big chair and damaged the corner area, stuffing all over..shaking my head, bad Ziggy..guess he is bored at having to stay in more.
If he keeps that up he’ll be outside for good lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We pay about $250. for heat or air conditioning, not too bad.

When do we get our names for the swap?

Bad Ziggy. I hope you find what it is smelling.

Victoria Harbour, ON

$250 a month LIndakay?

With Karen moving, Pat renovating etc we are 4 of us, soooo how about we ask one more time,

Last call for “Santa Warren gift exchange”

I’ll provide names tomorrow

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hope they can join us.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty, I contacted contractors who were on the BBB A+ list. Hopefully those will be trustworthy.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Ya Betty, you threaten but I doubt it!!! (and so does Ziggy!). I'm so glad that was not one of my kitty's habits. We got some repellant for the furniture and attractant for the scratching posts and did not have problems.
Still mild here, has only gotten below 32F for a short while this past month. I would LOVE to have a mild winter this year!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, milder this morning, so far no snow although they are calling for some.

Heading to the city with Melanie to the large Markham craft show..am looking for a picture made with rock depicting scene of Georgian Bay for Paul..he is always hard to buy for at Christmas...sure hope I can find a vendor that has it or something special

Always say I’m done but seems something pops up

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Have a good day.

Verona, ON

Betty an artist Kent Wilkens does several paintings of the Bay. He has a gallery right in Tobermory. I have a 1 of his prints - the oils are bit too pricey for me.

Doubt he would be in Markham. I used to do that show until they started letting people in who obviously did not make what they were selling. Means One of a Kind is coming up.

First major snowfall so Dave had to plow on Friday. He could have come in a second time but some gripe about the cost.

Stay safe, well warm/cool

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just got in, had a bit of snow here and there but not knuckle bitting drive.
Dianne, you can tell some vendors are selling items they’ve imported, mostly primitive things for Christmas..only one booth had a few small pieces of stained glass but that is it. 3 buildings to walk through, I could have bought so much but said ‘self, you should be getting rid of some of your Christmas decor, not bringing it in..got a couple of ideas, now to remember what they were. There were quite a few artist type paint8ngs..one had prints of his art and included in each was a hidden animal, unique.

We were eating when Mel got a call saying Becky had taken a turn for the worse so we headed back earlier than scheduled, we were going to ganz sale but was important to get home as quickly as we could.

Melanie bought a lot of goodies, I bought an art piece, yowzer $200 but glad I’ve got paul’s Xmas gift..will take a photo once I’ve had pain meds and hit bath and do the gift exchange names

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear about Becky not doing well. Keeping her in our prayers.
I posted on Judys Facebook page to come and join us. I have not received a response.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Brrr must be tired as I can’t seem to warm up, just made hot chocolate then comes hot bath..

I was all gung ho this morning but tired now..

Managed to sew a binding on a throw, cut out 6 snowmen heads, couple of trio trees and now for my last of the day, try and find a dead mouse in my craft room entrance, darn Ziggy lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Victoria Harbour, ON

Early morning ‘hi’
-1 here this morning, bit of snow this afternoon
Waiting for 8am as I need coffee, just scraped bottom of coffee jar, guess I could use the pod coffee maker but like instant then it’s Santa’s Workshop for me.

Your Thanksgiving is coming up, any plans??

Karen, did I misunderstand on Facebook that your grands are moving in with You?
Signing this morning right? Must have been a worry delaying the signing.

Pat is your company now gone, how you will miss her.

Well I’d best get dressed and start my day

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Just hubby and I for thanksgiving. Going to cook a ham and a few side dishes. We always share with the elderly neighbors.

Victoria Harbour, ON

That is what Thanksgiving is all about LIndakay..guess your kids are a fair distance from you.

Got my 2nd coffee in hand, going to cut some wood
