Morning all, foggy and high humidity today.

Stay in day for me, spent the night with nausea and this morning just yuck and headache.

Once I get my sea legs I’ll see what I can accomplish if anything.

Susan, heard Alberta areas got snow this week, early isn’t it?

Debbie sorry about your tooth, you didn’t need that.

Lindakay are you back from San Antonio?

Think Karen is staying a tad longer in Tennessee..

Did you make your wreath Betty? Pretty.

Fall is really creeping in!! Here, it always seems like summer ends abruptly and winter begins. Our falls are sometimes short in my opinion!!

Son, Kevin, & I leave for Seattle this morning & come back Monday evening. Going to visit older son Dana & wife in the new rental home, then take Kevin to MD appt & return home (about 4 hours). They JUST moved in less than a week ago, Dana started new job and I know it's pretty overwhelming for Carrie. She is looking forward to having 2 workers at her disposal for 2 days.

I'm bring the sewing machine, Carries says I have curtains to hem.

I have spent way too much time in dentist chairs. I do hope you are not hurting.

Beautiful decorations.

Have a safe trip Pat.

I go to San Antonio on Monday.

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, Karen may be delayed because of hurricane. It is hitting Tennessee and Carolinas hard.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Pat - you have your "curtain" marching orders, eh? lol Keeps you out of trouble anyway!
Yes, Betty - it is awfully early. We had snow pellets yesterday. Not hail, but little pellets. We've already had a killing frost, too. Pulled the beets & 1/2 of the carrots - now to make carrot soup, carrot cake, etc etc etc lol Already froze a lot of carrots, so now need to figure out what else to make of them that will keep. I can freeze the soup & cake.......... any suggestions for anything else?

Likely why I’m not feeling the best other than nauseated
Not the highest it’s been but not lowest

I'm not familiar with this tech, nor the med terminology
Sounds like it should be lower?!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, that is her blood pressure numbers. Not good at all.

Betty, high blood pressure usually won't make one sick to their tummy. It might give you headaches...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Tummy just churning again..headache as well so heading to bed

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Make sure you take your meds.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

omg Betty - that's HIGH! I know mine tends to be on the low side, but even at my highest it's 131/75. Yours is 180???? You need to address this

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

How are you feeling today Betty?

Lyndonville, NY

OK Bit of confusion.

Long story short. Betty WAS at the ER...but we THINK she is home now. NOT sure!

Will have to wait for her input unless I hear more Bessie Lou you are in trouble. I hope you are resting.

Hugs

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

*Gentle Hugs* Betty - you really need to not eat pizza, rest, and watch your blood pressure! You're awfully hard on yourself.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers and gentle hugs.

Morning all,

Got home last night, doing fine.

I had my laptop but their system was down, usuallythat ismy communication, forgot cel as ambulance was here sooner than expected.

My arms and hands were freezing and fingers all coiled in the ugliest positions, couldn’t grab anything.ambulance attendants tried hot cloths and rubbed but they were locked..

I was in a room within less than 10minutes of arriving..they could not find viens, after 18 tries they finally got it in but had to get blood from my feet.

After several X-rays a specialist whom I had before came in to talk to me, thought I was a healthy person but apparently not lol

My right kidney is atrophic, causing a tad of infection, but stomach and bowel a problem, lots of blockages, waiting for appointment for tests.

Young doc came in and as the vomiting sensation was gone said if I came home to rest a few days and try and stay on liquids, soft foods for as long as I can. Saidhe was quite worried about me when I came inbut I didn’t seem to concerned, been down same road many times that the frozenhands is what bothered me but once they told me all due to being totally without body fluid I relaxed.

They had a name for it but I found this online

The most common causes of spasms are overused muscles (in the hands that might be due to writing or typing) and dehydration. Other causes of muscle cramping include low levels of calcium and magnesium. Another possibility is that you have carpal tunnel syndrome, which occurs when the nerves in the wrist are compressed.

Just going down to village drug store, came home with 5 prescriptions then notmuch else I’ll be doing .

Must callmom as her birthday is today.

Please listen to the Dr. and do as they say.

Lyndonville, NY

She is back at the hospital.

I haven't had any updates.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh no.

Sending prayers.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Sounds like Betty is having a time of it again... I am so sorry to hear that. Prayers coming your way.

We had a great time on the trip. I helped my DDIL & son unpack at their new home. My son Kevin & I got there about 1.30PM and worked until 10.30PM, slept and got up and did it all again. Did not finish but we did empty LOTS of boxes, got their master bedroom rearranged (1st configuration was not kitty friendly). Their 2 cats could not see them from the door, they are not allowed in so will sit in the door way and "talk" to their humans in the morning.

Got the master bath room set up, the craft room done. Carrie had the kitchen done before I got there. We worked on refilling the 2 china hutches..... I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Worth the 4.5 hour trip.

We got to Kevin MD appointment early this morning, they took him in early and we got out of Seattle earlier than expected. HOME now.

Ben has ANOTHER UTI, guess we should be grateful the PICC line is still in.

Contractor came today & looked at slate entry and decided they are going to level it with gesso before applying new flooring over it. They talked originally like they were going sheer off some of it first to bring it lower, doesn't sound like that now.

Tired, my wrist and thumb are aching, they held up BETTER than I had a right to expect so I'm happy. GOODNIGHT all.

Home again, just climbed into bed, gab after

Glad to hear you're home Betty! Prayers continue, hope you're feeling better quickly!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you are home Betty. Listen to the Dr. and follow his orders please?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Still in bed, slept all morning
Must find something light to eat then back into bed

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Make sure it is bland, jello, yogurt...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just woke up, got up for ice cream and back to bed

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Glad you went to the hospital, Betty, and that you're being gentle on your tummy. Bland is your friend atm......

Zucchini is my friend right now, and cabbage
Making a cabbage, potato & carrot soup - YUM. Nice to freeze it.
Also making Zucchini Salsa - it is SO delish! Bob's loving it - ate 1/2 of a 500ml jar the first night lol
Here's the recipe:
Zucchini Salsa
5 cups small diced zucchini peeled
2 red peppers plus 2 green peppers
2 onions
2 tbs course salt
chop peppers and onions sprinkle with salt leave overnight. Drain
Add 1/2 c sugar
2 c vinegar
2 c chopped tomatoes
1 sm can tomato paste
6 to 8 jalepenoes seeded
1 to2 Tbs dried chili seeds depending on heat level you like
Cook to thick, place in jars and seal

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Salsa sounds good, but here in Texas, we don't remove the seeds from the jalapeno peppers.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I'm going to go make some more tonight - got 3 large zucchinis from friends lol They go "beggging" to get rid of them. I couldn't grow them - tried, but the seeds never sprouted.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, going to be another lazy day for me, not feeling 100%.

Would try the salsa susan, sounds delicious though

Going to run down to foodland, need milk and water, for some reason town water taste yuk and I must try to drink I bottle or two a day so they say..you know me, water and I don’t mix but I must

Victoria Harbour, ON

Trying to decide if I’d feel better moving around or just laying here? Aline just dropped in making sure I am not overdoing hmm hate this

Arms are a mess, needlemarks in feet as well..if I drink a large amount I’ll kind of concern myself with leaking like a sieve. Lol

Owww! That looks awful. Hope the bruising clears up quickly! I think you're best staying put for right now. Glad you've got folks dropping by to check on you to make sure you're behaving.

Victoria Harbour, ON

The dog show was nice, my girls placed in their classes, but no big wins. It was nice catching up with friends I only get to see once a year at the National show.

Another weekend of shows coming up. My one girl, Teagan, should finish her championship, she only needs one more point and the only competition is her sister, who isn't as experienced at showing.

Hope Sharon's babies get better quickly! It's so worrying having sick puppies!

I hope you're behaving yourself! Glad they are checking everything out. Hope the angiogram shows all is good.

Victoria Harbour, ON

How far do you have to travels for the upcoming shows?

Omg put me in a home...

Hydro wentout, electronic bed had feet up, head down, when hydro came back on I quickly got up to setthe radio that was buzzing, felt dizzy, , hit my leg on dresser, landing on butt, head hit foot metal, now sore all over..

Maybe I should be in a home...

Verona, ON

Betty remember to get up slowly.I know it is hard but that dizziness comes up and bites your rear. I've done the same thing. Your body doesn't need any more bruises.

Glorious Fall day here. I'm loving it.

How's your hand Pat ?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Must remember that Dianne, no kidding, am hurting but thank goodness no breaks.between the purples/blues of my arms and feet, now I add color to butt and scramble brains (what’s left of them ) lol

Fall day here as well although I’ve stayed in bed again today, going to try to enjoy tomorrow, even if it means laying on outdoor settee for awhile. Cool enough to have furnace on, do you have wood stove working yet, it’s rather damp..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to see you posting Betty, but please don't over do it. No more falling. Do we need to send you the bubble wrap?

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Ouch Betty, stop the self destruction trend! LOL

I actually took 1/2 a pain pill at work today. That's only the 2nd time since surgery 2 months ago. I've had meds at night to help me sleep, but have not taken anything at work but twice... Tired and I look like heck. Eyes slightly swollen and face just drooping I'm so tired. Had my flu shot today as well.

2 more assessments tomorrow... I've had "significant change assessments" coming out my ears. those are people who have had enough of change in functioning that I need to go out and reassess before the Annual assessment is due. IE, additional work.

Contractor leveled the entry way in preparation for starting the flooring. Brought boxes of flooring & they expect to start tomorrow Ben tells me. We'll see.
