Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Visit with friends Old/New, ALL Welcome...

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

The paperwork was "testing" and it was best I not be around when it happens. They need his answers, even if I disagree thoroughly... (Are you slow enough in speaking or moving that other people notice?) I just stepped into the office to the computer. didn't go far. Have not been in fabric store in a while, pointless.

Lastest on house "close before end of the month".

Physical therapist is here now working with Ben, so much for me doing some work on fireplace, mantle and ceiling.... maybe later today, this won't last long.

Took a fall in the yard this morning. I was weeding around a tree and stepped back, tripped over a root. I was on the ground a while before deciding how I was going to get up using 1 hand. It wasn't easy.

Today is NOT a good day. Law enforcement had DS & DDIL's car towed after the accident and it's $329 just to get it out of impound. I doubt the car is fixable. The responsible party broadsided her car, then took off.. DS & DDIL only had liability on car so it's probably a total loss. After I purchased the car & new tires for it, NOW the towing.... and nothing to show for it. IF I feel like crying, imagine how he feels?

Oh well... tomorrows a new day.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, another hot day inthe making although even in this heat one can feel fall in the air. Thursday when I went to Barrie I actually saw a few trees changing color. Soon my world will be in oranges and reds, my favourite time of year!

Pat, great news about the closing, one less worry for you.sad news about your sons vehicle especially when it was caused by someone else, could have ended so much worse..glad they weren’t badly injured!

Finishing my coffee then it’s time to set out the garbage to the curb and wait for the girls, always look forward to their coming and today Darlene will try to join us, so extra special. Yikes on the fall, hope you aren’t the worse for wear today!know how you love to sew and haven’t been able to for some time, perhaps whenrenos are done, house in Othello gone you can settle back into sewing and have sister time.

Few photo’s ofmygardens this morning, soon it will be all greens as normally flox are the last to bloom other than some mums.

Beautiful garden photos. Hard to believe another year has passed by.

Lyndonville, NY

I remember we were all waiting for our blooms, and now mine are all but gone.

Miss my daisies, just a few rose of sharon still blooming.

Wishing our lives away aren’t we.cant win, either too hot to go out or too, warm to go out, regardless which we are still inside. Thrilled I can fill in my day with mega things to do.

Can’t believe John and Darlene will be thinking of going to fort Myers..I must check if and when Melanie will be celebrating Greg’s 50 and when the boys are back from university Christmas time and book a flight, hoping time frame gives me at least one week south at Christmas, girls joked, said I must go as I need another sewing machine lol

Omg Rita justcalled, missed me lol, was saying we should start planning Roadtrip 2019🤪 she came up with Utah and area..

Was showing girls how quick those wine bags took to make, our project for next Tuesday, anyway have 2more that need wine..keep buying wine and the girls I know will surely call me a lush

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Utah is beautiful. I thought you were talking of a trip to Europe?

Victoria Harbour, ON

I do, and so does she, if Linda doesn’t go (who hates flying) we will go to Ireland..we might be able to talk her into flying as far as Utah, we will see, she is going on a 2 week cruise in November and she has to fly so we will see.

I’m in to fall and Halloween, get excited when I can work with such bold colors..

I looked so many times for fall 9 patch blocks I thought I had sewn last fall but didn’t get a chance to make table topper for leeAnn but to no avail I did not find them and I’ve search everywhere.....went through all my totes and found 4 inch blocks likely I had cut but not sewn together so that was my mission this afternoon..have to go to Vaughan tomorrow so I’ll pick up rich flannel for leaves tomorrow in orange and yellow, other coloured leaves I have, then, I can finish this piece I’m doing for niece as promised last year

I did the wine tote you see in photo but couldn’t bind it as I don’t have right green so tomorrow when I’m in the city I’ll go to cookstown and hopefully I can find it!

Pat - sorry about the car, and the COST - my goodness, and he wasn't the one at fault for the accident, either - shaking my head.
Betty - Susan went home yesterday, and had the best flight either direction that she's had to date. I made her a lap quilt to take home, and she loved it. Gave it to her on her birthday. She loved the visit with us, and this makes visit #5 (4 yrs, cuz she visited twice last year. Can hardly wait until next year's visit.

Betty - it wasn't 30% of the Park that attended, it was 30 people which is about 50% of the Park. Very successful I think :-)

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

GOSH, 50% is fabulous!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad you enjoyed her visit Susan.
