Congrats Susan! looks like Mom & baby are doing well.

Great Pics Betty, lovely picture of you in black floral blouse, I really like that one.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thank you - I think she's adorable, but obviously won't get to see her very soon. They live 1/2 way across the country, and I was in Winnipeg in January.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just checked into hotel likely no more than 6-7 miles from Sharon’s

Oh Lordy, sharon has a tropical garden garden paradise like no other...Rita and I are in awe!! I’m so glad we got to meet her...she is adorable, could have sat and chatted with her forever..enjoyed meeting Vern..big sigh, hated to leave!

We had a long day again, Rita wanted to go shopping to buy grandkids a gift but once we got in our room she suggested we just get comfy and fill our day tomorrow with last minute shopping and sightseeing.

Doubt we will go out for eats, we stopped late and had a meal at Cracker Barrel, so not very hungry, besides we have leftovers and a micro in the room, think we went there more for the shopping, both Rita and I came out with a top, just love my navy top withcut out lace at the neck.

They sure were making their customers comfy, had mist coming out of pipes of veranda..so refreshing.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Was one day too soon Sharon..birthday wishes!
Best gift ever, you get to enjoy your gardens..

Just getting ready for breakfast and think we might take a run to Red Rock Canyon, likely take up most of the morning, then need to find a shopping area so Rita can pick up items for grands then off to Vegas..will play with everyone’s money lol. Sharon wants me to put $$ on roulette 30 Red, rather than bring something home for mom she said to gamble it for her sooo will gamble!

Hard to believe our vacation is at an end..😪

You will love it at home, a humid heat wave! Will seem cool to you after the heat and desserts there!

Fun trip for sure! No trips for me, but I am flying my best friend out in October.

Well, one more hurtle over with. After the inspection on Othello there were things potential buyers wanted us to repair etc. we have come to agreement and move on to appraisal.

This Friday the cast comes off and I get a splint/brace. I can hardly wait!

Today I hope to finish painting the last of touch up on armoire and entertainment center and start on testing out the paint color on dining room wall... I may have purchased a "little too bright of green!", think light lime. Better I find out now before remodel starts. By the time all the white cabinets and white backsplash go in, there won't really be much wall showing.

Evening all, where oh where did the day go?

Oh the day goes ever so quickly, guess getting in at 11 then gabbing with mom until 12:30 did me in..Lordy it was a rough trip, thought along with several other it was about to go down, sure turned me against flying.

Mom sat cross stitching and I took her quilt apart and sewed it back together.. does look nice. just put spaghetti on, thinking afterwards if I’m not too tired I will put the quilt top on the frame.

Will catch up later

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear you had a bad flight. Was it bad weather?

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I am NOT good flyer, Nervous Nellie.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I love flying. Sorry you had a bad flight, Betty. Was it the weather that was causing trouble for flights in the area? Don't let one bad flight spoil all the future possibilities.

Afternoon all, getting better lol yesterday I posted in evening, today early afternoon!
Was up early, 3 loads of wash, vacuumed, mom left, girls came, girls left then Kyle and Greg dropped in..sat and cut out paper templates for pumpkin placemats and also wine bottle stocking tote and now ready for a nap, the 3 hour time change is screwing me up.

As for plane ride, bad turbulence

Had all intentions of putting mom’s quilt on the frame, washed her lining only to find a hole rightinthemiddle of backing!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

How did you get a hole in the fabric? Can you patch it?
When I fly to Washington, to visit my brother, it takes me a few days to get adjusted back to Texas time.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Looks as though it is thread breaks Lindakay

Got myself off the couch and cut the grass, tomorrow the trimming..need to clear spent flowers and all the hosta florets, full day, want work done so I can relax come weekend.

Thought I might go and cut out a few wine stockings soon the morning on myoutdoor breaks illhave something to sew. One of the quilts my cousin left me to do could be done on regular machine but I’ve no spray to put it together..thought I might run into Walmart early morning and see if they carry some sort of adhesive spray, anyone know ifthe have adhesive spray?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Has my Garden Buddy gotten what I sent her?
I got Deb's garden treasure to me :-) Such a sweet angel!! It says "Little deeds of kindness, Little deeds of love, make our world an Eden, like the Heaven above. J. Carney" I will treasure it! I know JUST where to put it in my garden - along with the daylilies & herbs :-) It'll be right at home, with my other tiny garden statues!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Our walmart carries spray adhesive. I hope you can find some.
I love that angel.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Betty - Elmer's Craft Bond is great - for temporary or permanent bond (after 15 minutes), and it's acid free.

Victoria Harbour, ON

I posted that I got my solar frog from Liz, I have not posted pic yet. my frog with umbrella is in my pencil cup at work making me smile!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Betty - glad you'll put your feet up & read - that was one of my reasons for sending you the book lol Also talks about simplifying LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Life can’t get much simpler ,..

Have to go get a bottle of wine, made the Christmas wine sock party, just needribbon but it seems small so need a bottle to see if it fits in before I make more lol

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

That's as good a reason as any to go buy wine.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yep Karen, bottle fit in the sock, too early to start filling them right..cant remember when I had wine..the one I bought came from California, so I should try it right?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Since my diabetes diagnosis and first heart attack in 2005 I haven't had anything to drink. Not that I miss it as I never did learn to like much of it anyhow, .
