Susan's here - missed her plane in Toronto to Calgary (did you know that they won't put your luggage from your previous flight, to your connecting flight? She had to retrieve her luggage, then take it back through to security and get it reloaded onto her next flight).
Anyway, it's all good, she caught the plane 2 hours later, and arrrived 40 min early for that one, and we got her here safe & sound! She helped me weed the garden tonight.

Everyone so busy, I feel positively trifling. Need to get back to busy sewing.

WOW! I have never had to get my luggage to go to the next flight. Glad she made it.

How much longer for your cast Pat?

2 more weeks of cast, then brace. Took stitches out Friday and re-casted it. the brace is small, kind of like fingerless glove that is custom fit and secures with wide velcrose. It focuses on protecting the thumb from damage and limits movement. The good thing about my sis having hers done 2 weeks ahead of me is seeing in advance what will happen next.

I am going to have to have a talk with one of ben's caregivers. next time I come home to unfinished work and she's been playing on her phone, she is history. She cannot see what needs to be done ok... but this time I had TOLD her. and there should be no need to be told daily chores, come on, be a grownup!!!

Ben's leg looks so good. it is such a relief to have that issue under control. now if can find a way to cope with or control his incontinence, our life would be so much better.

We are up gabbing with Liz, almost ready to start out on yet another adventure..so many fires going on but think we are travelling away from them..

Yesterday was fantastic, can’t believe kenny’s knowledge of area and roads, everywhere we went we got parking right in front

We rode the trolley car, both Rita and I hung off the side, quite an experience coming down the hill as I am not a height person but was fun..

Don’t think there was a place one should see that we didn’t get to see thanks to Liz and Kenny..even gotto hippyville Haight and Ashberry..

Will post photo’s tonight when we are in our hotel room for the night

just them visiting alone was the best time we had in a long time.
those poor girls, we ran them ragged lol
tried to show them as much of the city as possible and a re-discover for me as well
we had so much fun.
being on vacation all this week now that im back at doing nothing lol

Will try to attach a picture of what I got from Dianne! The mosquitoes were attacking so I only got one good picture before storm clouds rolled in. I'm going to try that mouthwash recipe for repelling mosquitoes. I can't get anything done outside.

Yesterday was a relaxing day, many stops along the coastline,santa Monica, Santa Barbara , Malibu, Ventura and Venice Beach.

Shoreline so different, most rocky but Venice Beach most like our Wasaga Beach/Balm Beach shoreline.

Queen Mary ship is a grand old Lady, glad we booked in.
Been for breakfast and now getting ready for Joshua Tree, tomorrow we leave for Vegas taking longer route through the Majave Desert, why you ask. Lol we thought because we so enjoyed Death Valley we would also try the desert.
