Not a whole lot going on here, quiet kind of day, will sew a bit till the dew of the grass is gone then do some trimming, decided looking out that I will cut a few limbs and a few shrubs out front can barely see anything when sitting on front deck or looking out front window then do some trimming..always work right?

Karen, bottle of wine still intact lol..the drink I had on the Queèn Mary was the first I had in ions, think I shared a glass of wine with Joyce and the girls from Ohio..likely reason I don’t drink is I’ve never found something I tasty.

Tuesday late evening and yesterday morning the storm front didn’t move from over Toronto, water over a few feet downtown Toronto, major damage, weather has changed so don’t you think. Read a bit in Susan’s almanac she sent me and seems we will have above normal temps this fall.

I’m already seeing fall in mygardens, sad about that..must take photo’s of my floxs and post.

I need to make a trip to Barrie for backing for mom’s quilt and some ribbon for the wine totes, maybe this afternoon.

Oh LK thank you, thank you .... what a wonderful box of surprises. The TH would not leave the box alone when I set it down. No wonder !!! Inside were some toys for the TH to play with. They love ropes!! LK also didn't forget my sweet tooth .... Riesins are a favourite of mine. The garden statue will hold a special spot in my heart and my garden. LK didn't know this but the statue of a youngster with a dog could have been modeled after me. I will have to look for the photo so I can show you all.I was quite the tomboy and never wore girly clothes, my grandparents had a Spaniel who was always at my side when I visited them. I would sit on their garden bench with Brownie by my side and just marvel at their garden. From the bottom of my heart LK thank you.

Went into the village thinking I would buy a pickling crock ...... I want to make Oil Pickles. I don't know what happened when we moved down here from the farm house but my pickling crocks didn't make it.Not only did I not find a pickling crock but there was no large enamel pots .I used my last one as an ash container. I have the beets here to make Pickled Beets but before I start I had better check I have mason jars.

Betty in the Toronto Star this morning there was a photo of a streetcar flooded. There were people on the car and initially they thought it was amusing. Not so much fun as the water kept coming in. They were finally able to pry a door open and the passengers had to swim to dry land. A couple of guys were stuck in an elevator and if 2 cops from another division hadn't come they would have died. The water was up to their necks. I don't even want to think about the clean up in the city.

LK how are you feeling ? Did the doc change your meds ?

The TH are all tired out from playing with the toys LK sent them. They are sprawled out on the bed and I think I will join them.

Dr. did change meds from metropolol to valium. Not for sure if that is a good move or not. He tinks I may have some sort of heart damage, since I am still having chest pains, so he wants to do another chemical stress test, and then the heart catheter. I am in thr process of trying to get a 2nd opinion.

Saw videos of Toronto, got to be some major flood issues for homes and businesses....wasn’t that something about the guys in elevator, they thought that was the end for them. Usually we get hit with major parts of storms but not this time.

Should. Have gone out to week but just didn’t feel like it..it’s. Hot and muggy so staying in AC was much more tempting, even Ziggy preferred to stay in.

Darlene and John dropped in for visit, lordy they spoil me..before my trip the dropped off a rusted art rose for my garden, today as they left they said there was something on back deck for me, matching other 2. Ohhh Sharron now I have one like yours, each time I pass it I’ll remember your beautiful gardens and what I have to strive for.

Checked my fall stash ie oranges, need 4 strips of about 4” wide of 5 different oranges, only have one so put that on my list of supplies lol. Always seems whatever project one undertakes and regardless of how much stash you have never the right thing ..

Just leaving, picking up Linda, we are going out for eats and shopping, will be nice to see her!

If I’m right everyone now has treasures from the garden swap???

Morning all, was restless last night and kept drifting into nightmares, who said you can’t go back into same dream? Know there will be mini naps in my day..

High of 88 today, trying to talk myself into going outside and get the trimming done, not sure which will win, the ‘mustgo out there’ or ‘it can wait until tomorrow’.

Sat and put ribbon on the 3 wine Christmas wine bottle stocking holder I just made, easy gifts to make, want to do more..laughing to myself,now I shouldmake wine to make it a ‘from me gift’ lol

Pat, when I first moved to the lakeandroger worked away from home there were 2 hotels in a small town, big tourist area, I befriended 2 others, both called Betty, we would go all over look8ng for different greenware, I bought I kiln and would do firing..Roger would look at me taking over the back shed and complain, I said there were 2 types of entertainment in town, could go spend my time in the bar or do crafts, he could choose which he preferred..last he complained!

Betty, I love those wine totes. Doesn't have to be wine, it could hold Baileys, or other spirits, maybe some olive oil for the cook, bubble bath...

Hmmm never thought of that lindakay, pattern did say you could put a flower vase in them and fill with flowers and also hang them on mantle with arrangement in them

Having lunch,still not outside, did put themetal flowers together though and meditating where they should go lol

Been dividing my time between outside trimming and working on pumpkin placemats, thinking of going to town and do groceries so I have the entire weekend doing nothing.

Afternoon ladies.

Went to a village about 30 min away this morning and found both a pickling crock and a large enamel pot.I knew if John didn't have what I wanted he would go the extra mile to find them. His family has had businesses in the village for over 100 years.

Taste of the Danforth starts today Betty. This is the area that had the mass shooting last month. On the noon news they featured the event. Lots of food that looked delicious. Some of the vendors offer a tasting plate so you can have a little taste of everything. It started out featuring Greek food but now has an International flavour.

In the 80's here but a nice breeze off of the lake. I still have the AC on as the afternoon sun really heats up the house. The TH are not too interested in staying outside - what a spoiled trio. They love the toys LK sent - in fact right now Duke and Chaos are pulling at an end of the same rope and Diesel is shaking the other rope in their faces.What can I say ? It's a circus here.

Is hot here as well Dianne, even with the rain we had the other day it’s still so dry..with all the fires in California and being there I’m paranoid, really should burn what is in the pit, bam is no longer but I worry so my thought it to take the hose and water all around the fire pit, the trees, shed and greenery then light it early a.m. so I can make sure it’s tended and burns out. Everything is so dry, decided to run the sprinkler,gardens are in need. Moved everything around in the gardens in order to put the metal art in , not quite sure what to do with the 3 metal deer, the blended in tomuch you didn't see them so I will think of a place,for now they go near the fence.

Went to town, did groceries, just love no frills, bet on a $65 dollar order I saved $35+ no kidding..no room in freezers or refrigerator so I best start eating. Hit the liquor store, best I not make too many wine totes or the clerks will think I’m a drunk, bought 2 more bottles, that fills the 3. Do you shop there Dianne, Susan?

Lindakay, I went to Walmart and bought Elmer crFt adhesive spray,have you tried it..wow same size bottle as I usually buy and it was only $8.98, bargain for sure it it works..will try a small piece and see if it works.

Dianne, I keep saying i’ll Make the trip to the Danforth but would make such a long day for me so I never do..sure hope there are no crazies out there..have friends who go and say it’s fantastic. Glad you got your utensils..I’ve my grandmothers crock, sits downstairs near fireplace.

TH sure are enjoying those toys.

Wanted to go get Chinese but it was crazy in town, not only are the tourist here in mass but mom’s are starting to shop for school..imagine 3 weeks and kiddies are back to school. Dil amd niece aren’t too excited, they are enjoying their time off, think both got new grades to teach this year.

Well it’s TV dinner time lol didn’t want to cook so will make due with TV dinner, actually I dont mind them, beats cooking...

Glad I got everything done,now I can relax all weekend, well maybe not relax but do my thing..

I'm grateful cast if off but lots of restrictions for now BUT I'm typing with 2 hands again!~~ I am SOOO grateful for that. 4 weeks of one finger picking was driving me nuts and I was further and further behind at work.

Morning..up at 5, couldn’t sleep so thought I’d work on pumpkin placemats, sprayed them last night, this morning all seemed same as other spray, got the pumpkin slices done with decorative stitches so I likely will still buy joanns but will have Walmart’s as a backup.

Doing good, load of wash and load in dishwasher done, sprinkler on and it’s just after 7, love those kind of days.

Erased the post that I was saying I was picking from green to orange/brown, meant to add it to the sewing thread..

There were a couple of things to address in the inspection, and the appraisal could not be scheduled until everything completed... just normal delay stuff. The funding is fine unless the appraisal comes up short and then we will ALL have to make some decisions. I don't think that will be problem.

It feels so good to TYPE again!!! I able being very cautious.

My youngest son just lost his job. I am going to hire him to do some of the things I need done around here to help him make ends meet.

Excellent idea, am sure he will appreciate the funds..always a worry until another job comes around.

Just unpacked my 2nd carry all and thoughtid share the beautiful gift that Liz made me (us), Rita gota black R and I a white B....the hours it must have taken her as well as the collection of so many types. even has silver in it, thank you so much Liz.

Also a bag with the USA, Rita and will photo copy the design, cutout in different fabrics each state we’ve travelled to.

Susan's b-day today, and I finished her lap quilt in time to give it to her.
Potluck BBQ was hosted at our place, and a great success. About 30 people attended, and they're looking forward to next year's. That was about 30% of the Park and as it was the 1st one, I expect more will come next year. Always takes a 1st time for everyone to get into the "swing" of things, eh?

Managed to piece together the Halloween panel I bought, just had enough of the fabric I bought to do a small top, sure wish they printed sides on the panel as they do on the tops..oh well, it’s a throw right, only out a few weeks.

Liz must get Rita to send me photos of San franscisco seeing I had forgotten my camera. Do have a few though.

As for the quilted bag I’ll just use a small print, came up with the idea that I willl change color for each year we girls did our trip, trying to figure out how I can add Canada to the other side.

Debbie, those Joanns coupons keep coming in, sharon says a roadtrip soon but not without having breakfast with our Debbie. Must also look when the craft sale in Hamburg is..been a few years since I’ve been.

Yes, we still have hummers here. Dogs are doing good, but getting old, our German shepherd is starting to get arthritis in her hip.

Cut 13 wine kits, 6 for girls and seven for me, did some house cleaning and accounting of our trip, need to do final tally so Rita and I can settle up re our trip and been letting Ziggy in and out a zillion times, guess it’s even too hot for him.

Wondered why I was hungry, lordy almost three, cucumber sandwiches for me as it’s almost supper time..

Laying here with feet up, started to hand sew Halloween piece, started to feel my eyes getting heavier so set it down, need a nap before I get back to it, am sure later tonight I’ll be looking for something to do.

Should take a run to store, have a crave for chocolate
