Talked to Betty on FB. She has no connection at the hospital right now.
Had some tests and is waiting for the doctor. She was going to try and take a nap.
best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends..all welcome, come sit a spell..
Thanks Debbie
Doctor just came in, Lordy she doesn’t look old enough to be out of high school. Lol
Said all tests came back and all ok but does show I have a bad bladder infection, I can go home, must eat a couple of bananas a day for a bit, potassium way under, no taking blood pressure pills till Monday as my blood pressure is low and will give me prescription for infection...she said it very well could make me vomit as I have..we will see
Think is I haven’t has this since late last year so I thought it was behind me.
She said when different people are I’ll ie my appendix, my diverticulitis, now bladder infection that they react with vomiting sessions
Sooo good new is, on my way home in an hour, will call a cab, pick up prescriptions, have hot bath and rest
Praying the meds make you better quickly.
Yeah, praying that this really is a recurring infection & can be cured easily.
Morning all,
Watered the gardens and hanging baskets already this morning, even dug up 10 hostas and set them along the fence, hoping they take, did a load of laundry and set dishwasher,
77 today with rain starting Saturday just when we are having Canada day celebrations, here is hoping weather will change at least for Saturday when all the events take place, afternoon /evening bands and kids activities, know Melanie is hoping so seeing she is running the kids activities in the afternoon.
Speaking of Melanie she goes to see the doctor tomorrow, found a lump in her breast, tad worried she is.
Just had my banana, dictir’s Orders lol and now comes some gardening, in the photo I’ll show you with all the greenery has mega limbs to cut, can’t see birdhouse, rhubarb leaves etc.
You can see the ground cover with yellow flowers needs weeding, think weeds grow almost as quickly as picked.
Wind is up so good time to get out there although skitters will feast on me!
Picked a peonie, some orange blossoms and a few wild rose buds which will soon bloom, smells nice on the table.
Jeff is taking Caleb (youngest grandson) to camp today, Braedon was last week, he is on a 50 day kayak trip, Caleb is doing camping excursions then a few days back early September for university, not sure if I’ll get to see them this summer.
Birthday wishes as well Liz..been think8ng of you every day, can’t wait to spend some days with you and Kenny..wel can celebrate your birthday then..
Happy Birthday Liz. Wishing you peace, love, health and happiness.
Rocks are in place - I like the look.
Dianne, I wish you could post photos.
Boy do I miss garden swaps like we used to do
Seems every area I walked in this morning there was something from a swap..such pretty things.
Dianne, if you an take pics and send to me....I will post them for you like before.
Long as i get TH pics too Good luck at the vet! Still chilly here!
You are always so helpful Debbie..love to see all the work Dianne has been doing
The wind is up here debbie, I was out so early this a.m. that I put a sweater on, by afternoon I had to take it off..I’d say for me perfect weather 76
Another area fixed, Joyce and the girls about 4 years ag brought me a big rock with a drilled hole..last fall the pump went on it, bought a replacement but never put it in, did today
Alsogot the metal piece that was hidden amongst the trees and moved it over to the fence..a, sure once the hostas grow it will look lovely.
There is a little cuddly way backnear the shed with table/6 chairs that I haven’t weeded or looked at so am hoping tomorrow morning I can get out and do that forgotten area then it’s water, pick weeds amd relax, enjoy!
Lordy even lupus music on outside, kind of nice..hooe neighbors like country 😜
Pulls out my step stool....
Stands up....finger shaking
BESSIE LOU YOU were in the hospital yesterday! SLOW DOWN!!!
Get on the couch with some juice and park it miss!!!
I’m there now mommy debbie
Honestly didn’t overwork, totally enjoyed my day
Life can’t get better than this
You have to plan a few days/week Debbie and come enjoy my gardens, you can even have the garden view, I’ll even serve you breakfast on your own deck lol
wow, Betty - you're sounding like you're overdoing. If you say you're not, we hope to believe you, but it does sound like a lot - watering & weeding the size of your yard......... not sounding like you're taking it easy. Shall we "sic" Mommy Debbie on you? lol
As long as you're not over doing Betty.
Morning, sunshine day high of 77 then rain for 3 days!
Tad too early to be cutting grass and brrr cold out there but if I don’t get it done today then it will be mid week before I can get back at it.
Going through the gardens, picking weeds, looking at shrubs/flowers starting to bloom is not hard work nor is watering them, brings joy to the heart..omg I even talk to my pretties lol
Guess I will go make a few blocks until 10, by then it should have warmed up.
thank you all, ya give her the what for
she needs her rest! so she and rita can come to California.
Liz, I am trying...and she wants that trip soooo much! We have been chatting about previous visits with you and Kenny and she is very excited. BUT....I suggest you get a supply of duct tape to tie her down once in awhile. haha
Chilly here also Betty but the sun is out. We have storm warnings for next couple days. I wanted to say we need the rain, but I have several planters with water on top and I need drain them.....and bring up on porch before this rain hits. I think need to drill holes in bottoms....but they are the old porcelain pans, bed pans, tin buckets and I hate to ruin them with holes.
Don’t be giving Liz and Kenny any ideas, I know how he folds towels lol I’d likely get swatted with one.
You won’t ruin the tin ones, get little drill bit and there shouldn’t be a problem
Trust me, I remember the towels. And the "mouse tattoo".
You know Debbie, we’ve had some good times, I often think of my dg friends and the fun experiences I’ve had, so many laughs
Lindakay amd Roadtrip girls in Texas, trips to Ohio and Chicago, even with Mary in New Orleans..and let’s not forget the visits here by dg friends and always so enjoy seeing you on trips to Buffalo or here..😃
Am blessed for sure
I’m filling up my car with garbage items, will make a trip to the dump this afternoon before doing my weekend shopping
While scavenging for garbage I found a set of hypertufa mushrooms, look nice along my fence

lol Betty maybe they DO need to get ideas on how to keep you Resting lol
I'm thankful that someone's considering my DH for a job - at 68 some people seem to think he's "past it", but he most assuredly is not. He's off right now, interviewing for a janitorial position. The place where he gets his cleaning supplies recommended him, and he got a call last night. Basically, he's been doing "one off" jobs & volunteering since we moved here. This is a one day a week job, about 10 min drive from us.
Of course, he'll have to fit it in among all the renos he has planned lol
Maybe we can have a small garden swap here. Debbie, Dianne, Liz, Susan, Pat, Betty and myself. And anyone else that wants to join. Just one pretty item for our gardens.
Here is hoping Susan, one day a week would be get, covers groceries so a plus.
Darlene and John were here for the afternoon, he being an electrician DID NOT like extensions running my water features so put in post,, new grounded outdoor fixture so I’m safe..Lordy I so appreciate it!
We did get to sit a bit and chat..
Day is almost over, going to use gorilla glue, had made a blue heron and painted it, well a few years ago it lost its head so hopefully I can glue it and touch it up, not in A1condition but can be semi hidden somewhere
Off to the dump, groceries and pick up gardening supplies
He got the job. He's going tomorrow afternoon to clean - it's really bad now, as it hasn't been cleaned in quite awhile. I guess he'll start with the office. Not really sure what type of building it is. The "big bosses" are coming Monday to see how he does. One boss is from Calgary, and one is the hubby of our Postmaster. Didn't know that until he came home from the interview.
I'd love to do a garden plant swap - are we talking about one plant to a "secret buddy" or one plant per person (sending out 6 or more, plants/seeds, one to each member)?
We can't sent plants across the border, I have tried. This would be for garden art. frogs, butterflies...
That it would Lindakay, no plants..
Well I finished cleaning the back shed, me thinks I have far too many Christmas items, totes galore
Headed into town, it’s crazy out there
Was getting ready to head home and I said “self, even though you were unwell at beginning of the week you sure made up for, so much got done so why not treat yourself”. Didn’t take much convincing, ended up with 2 hydrangea, they had just come in, hanging basket and Chinese food for supper..if you are going to treat yourself do a good job at it.
Susan sure he he likes it, would also give you a break one day a week!
Well Debbie not only am I eating Chinese but the bands have started in community grounds behind me, you know where..right now it’s tribute band singing 50’s-60’s,
Tonight I imagine will be 70-80-90’s then after that current music..
I often say I can sleep through anything, here is hoping I can lol
When cleaning back shed found some mushrooms
speaking of tributes, Betty - here's something Paul McCartney lovers would like to see lol

Bob got the job, and starts tomorrow. Works cleaning in offices, boardrooms & hallways.
that would be fun linda kay.
betty you should be drinking water not coke geeez...

Drats Liz, know I should have moved that bottle...🤪
Ask me why I’m not sleeping...god knows what kind of music they are playing

Morning all, light rain, barely enough to wet the ground, overcast right now but I’m so hoping that the rain holds off until after the parade..
Rain however is just enough for me to be inside, skitters love this light rain, ask me, thought as the rain is so lights would be a good time to get seed down.
Omg you were all with me about midnight, music was playing and I remembered that I had put 4 hanging baskets in the pond rather than just watering, pond water acts as a fertilizer so I decided ooops forgot to take them out so off I went, at one point I lost my footing and first thing that came to mind is what you would all say if I fell in and hurt myself. Lol. But here I am ok
Watched a tutorial on a 2 1/2hour table topper, 3D pinwheels so while I’m wait8ng to see if it clears or not going to go look in my stash and see what fabric I have that I could try it.
Also have the 2nd quilted table runner to quilt..want to do that because I’d have something to hand sew I.e. binding while the bands play on tonight.
I also bought potting soil, pat gave me an egg plant that needs transplanting..want to look after it so I have eggsthis summer/fall
As you can see, there is never a day I can’t get into something
This morning when I was searching for something I found a box with an garden angel in it from a swap, have to find somewhere special to put her, a few dimensional stained glass butterflied, 2 cups and saucers..Lordy best I get them put outside
Your hard work is showing in your beautiful gardens Betty. Do you still have fish in your ponds, or do you have to buy new every spring?
Oh Betty, that Chinese looks so good. I already told DH I need a trip for my Chinese.
Yep, LIz I gave her a scolding and she still doesn't listen. She needs cranberry juice and water!!! She won't listen.
AND out at the pond that hour of night!!! I have to ask...did you remember your robe hehehe She was out dancing in the moonlight....who is she fooling? NO ONE.
Susan, congrats to DH. Will help him mentally too being needed and a purpose for work.
LInda, I am in for a swap, I just have to be careful. No plants allowed for sure. I can barely sneak an apple over the border in my snack pack.
My aches and pains are wide awake with our damp weather. Very overcast and just a light rain last night, but the next 2 days supposed to be a downpour.
Enjoy your day....stay safe all
Debbie
Very overcast here too.
Told my young garden helper not today. There are literally clouds of skeeters, deer flies and horse flies. No garden is worth fighting them.
Sure I am in for a swap of garden art.
Been into the village to get Duke's meds and now I am in for the weekend.
Spritz of rain around 4 am.
