Thanks for the new room.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Went to put garbage at roadside and was surprised it was so mild, well at least compared to Sunday and yesterday, but calling for snow later tonight.

Just as I was putting garbage out I realized I didn’t look at the newspaper that was delivered Friday so as always peered through the obits, omg not only was there a friend of the families that I heard of last week but a dear friend Debbie Bresette who had a heart attack on thursday night, funeral this morning at 10:00..too late to cancel the girls this morning so I’ll give Tim a few days and give him a call..she was 62.

Best I get dressed, time to start my day seeing as my watch said I had a good night’s rest lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear of your friends passing.
Sending prayers for all.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Betty - so sorry to hear of your two friend's passings. 62 - that's SO young.......

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Isn't it strange how as we age, we all start looking through the obits? I noticed that I do it too.... Sad way to learn of a friend's passing but at least we then know. I have several friends whose other half wouldn't know who I was from the man in the moon.

Verona, ON

My sweet dad always came in around 5 pm and the first thing he did was check the obits in the local paper. I just follow his lead and do the same. Warren thought I was nuts but it didn't stop me from doing it.

Amazon and Canada Post have really stepped up on their delivery of goods ordered.I ordered on Sunday and it was delivered to Verona PO on Tues.

Stay well and safe everyone.
Dianne and her TH

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I mailed a parcel on Nov 14th to NC and it got there today whooooo hooooooo
Other side of the coin - someone from NC mailed a parcel to me on Nov 8th, and it got here yesterday....... go figure, eh?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well I’m in a group that don’t think I’m off my rocker re reading obits..first thing I check, sales after.

Snowing a bit, wind is up christmas along with a day of instruction..she finally took advantage today, came at 9and just left..I’m a tired but invited Greg last night for chicken and slifpdders so am fitt8ng that in then the girls come tonight for sewing..watch says yesterday just in the house, not a wonder I’m sore at night when I go to bed lol

As for post office, I mailed pkgs Barb got hers Monday, Liz got hers yesterday, don’t know about Judy or Linda Kay

Best I go finish supper

would imagine many of you busy busy with thanksgiving tomorrow, don’t overdo

Our neighbors very kindly brought us over a complete Thanksgiving dinner. I'm feeling better and thinking Sat. will be a go.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, high of 47 today with a feel like 43..

Great news Karen, how kind of them, true Thanksgiving giving! Glad you are up to your visit with family, they will all be thrilled to see you.

Think I’m going to spend time in my Jammie’s until I head to town this afternoon, will laze about taking inventory on gifts, time to see if all are even, if not will pick up a few more when I go to midland. Need wrapping paper and ribbon, time to start wrapping.

Melanie and a few girls are coming tonight for a craft night so best not use up all my energy lol

Verona, ON

Karen what a thoughtful thing to do Karen. Yum a turkey dinner . Hope you are feeling better and can go yo your Family dinner.

Betty my nephews who live north of you had the guy who does a garbage run for them cancel because it is freezing rain. These are the 2 guys who won't come out of their house. Long story.

Dull here looks like it could snow.

Stay safe and well

I totally lost this thread somewhere .. since yesterday there was nothing in my 'watched' reminders thing a ma jig .. anyway .. here you are .. :-)

We are dealing with warmish temps during the day, mid 30s, enough to melt the snow a bit , and, then. freeze overnight .. you can skate down our driveway !

Karen .. hope your THNSGVNG is wonderful, as is LK and Barbs and Judy and Liz and the Debs etc :-)

Laundry on the go and a pork loin in the crockpot, and, the THINK of making a lemon meringue pie ..

Have a great day :-)

Morning all, still morning isn’t it??

Light snow here, glad Dianne and “M” I don’t have the ice...with only having one snowfall we did pretty good in November weather wise.

Wonder how Karen made out on her thanksgiving travels? Hope she took it easy and all went well.

im still in my jammies, went to bed last night with a terrible headache, still a tad blurry eye but managed to get craft room cleaned up after having crafts on Friday and Saturday morning.

Folding laundry and think8ng it wouldn’t take a lot to get dressed and maybe follow “M” and put something in the crockpot, must see what is in the freezer.

Debbie if you are lurking, omg the other day I put the old coffee perk away in storage area and what did I find, a new crockpot I must have bought and forgot all about it. Will ask Kyle if he would like it for his trailer.

Deb, are you at the dog show this weekend?

Bar, how are you doing?

Waving to all I’ve missed....

I'm home this weekend. Last weekend was Ocala, Florida, got home Monday afternoon. Had a quiet Thanksgiving with the kids. One more weekend of dog shows, and that's it for the year, and those are only about a 15minute drive from home.

Just taking it easy this weekend, it's been a rough year!

I lost Hayley, my 11 year old, two weeks ago now. House is quieter without her.

Deb

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sorry to hear of Hayley’s passing Deb,surely will be missed..hugs
Glad you are taking some you time..how is your daughter doing?

Been thinking the same, been one heck of a rough year here as well.
Still in my nighty, head still pounding, buzzing sound in my head getting to me, worked on scoot tarp repairs, probably a good part of a day to finish it if I can, Lordy so ripped and rotten but doing my best with it, tomorrow is another day.
Just ate fruit and think8ng of going to bed

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We had a wonderful trip down, so enjoyed time with family. My kids took over my parts of the meal and did a great job. I ordered a large Edible Arrangement to pick up on the way. All the kids love fruit so it was a huge hit.

By DBIL finally has his Quilt of Valor. As much as I wanted to give it to him personally, I didn't want him to have to wait any longer. He was surprised and very happy with it

Morning everyone, high of 28 today. Brrrr

Omg Karen, what a beautiful quilt, you can see it made his Thanksgiving! What an angel you are.

Still having issues with head, hoping I can get to finish the tarp today, a zillion holes/tears, hoping I have bought enough canvas so I can put a large insert rather than repair mega places..I’ll work in small increments...

What are you up to today?

Beautiful quilt Karen.

Betty, why did he not just get a new tarp to begin with?
I am working on a king size quilt for my oldest son and wife. This is a picture of what I am trying to create.

Oh lindakay I love it, haven’t seen it, would you mind if I ask where you found the pattern?? He will be so pleased.

Well he lives north on an island, he hurt himself and was off work a bit and just can’t afford a new one..

I’ll be his heroine if I’m able to mend it for him, wouldn’t if it weren’t anyone but him,
Just can’t imagine anyone else doing it for him..really not worth it but doing my best..I finished the other tarp that goes over the propeller area, figure if I pick one spot and don’t concentrate on all of the tarp I can piece meal it lol

Hope your kit comes in today

So kind of you Betty to make the effort for your friend.

Linda love the quilt your making, I'm sure they will love it too.

Kids give me their Christmas lists on Thanksgiving. One from Sweet Caroling tugs at my heart...Grammy could you make a kwilt for me please. How can I not?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ahh, how old is that wee one? Already know the value of getting something fr9m grandma.

i too am adding to the boys future Christmas decor..gave them a quilt, tree skirt last year, this year a table topper.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Sweet Caroline is 8, darling child.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Nice age, do you have enough in your stash to make one? Will her getting one create a frenzy with other kids saying ‘where is mine?”

Made one repair and up laying down. Grr

Lyndonville, NY

OK, I am caught up!

I managed to cook Thanksgiving day, and then crashed and burned. I haven't moved from the sofa since. DH has busted his bum trying to keep up with everything, renovating the 2nd bedroom and running dog in and out for me.
Yesterday was first day I was out since Wednesday just walking Sam in yard.

Took meds for back spasms and just resting as I can. I looked at the clock, it was 10...now its 2:00 Swear only 10 minutes passed! NOPE. Sam is on my spot on the couch, so I am at computer!!!

Betty, I thought you got a crock last year....but thought maybe you gave it away.

Guess what? Thanksgiving Morning my coffee pot died. DH said "its Bettys fault". Hahaha

Miss you all....trying to keep up
Debbie

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Won't be a problem with the others this year...but next year? Watch out. LOL Happened with beanbags. One year my DDs three boys asked for Beanbags to take to college. The next year I was swamped.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh debbie we are a fine pair, We should have adjoining couches lol imshaqre my couch with Ziggy, well the back rest top, guess you can’t do that with the pooch.

Paul has accomplished much, not only you but I’m sure Paul will be glad to see it done.then comes painting.just think, all done for Christmas..

What happened Re the car, fixable or have to purchase new one.

Lol, blame Betty re coffee machine

Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly..is it you back?

Karen, I remember the bean bags, mega mega work

Only had cereal so am cook8ng hamburger patties and mashed taters, will eat early and have an early night of it.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
