Ves!! How wonderful to see you!

Hi everyone, Happy Mother's Day evening.

Barb, hope your trip is great. Yikes snow?

Betty, Oh my so sorry to hear all that is going on, Praying for a speedy recovery for Sharon and Uncle.
now Betty, I sure hope your not going overboard with stuff to do. remember you are still healing too. Tight armwraps, oh goodness about Ziggy, did he not want to go out or go back in...

Susan, heavy sigh on the added work. I hope you get it all straightened out.
I like the wood floors you were laying. In fact it looks a lot like what we have and just installed in Jakes room. Anyway, I hope it is the last it's got to be done now projects. Awe so sorry about your eye, hope it heals quickly.

Yep, you all heard correct, my boy turned his room into an adult room!! walls have been painted, new windows, re-arranged furniture...Looks so nice!

Debbie, You are always in my prayers and thoughts. Wish I lived close enough to wrap my arms around you. Sounds like you are overlywhelmed, so I pray things will go well. hope your desk turned out nice.

Linda Kay, they're back!! saw my first hummer the other day. I hope that the medicine alleviated your allergies! Yikes, so glad that tornado didn't affect you. What a scare... hmmm, LK No, no now that I see the pictures, the Day Lilies are not from me, I do remember sending Bearded Iris, it would be white with the purple beards.

Thanks for letting us know about Dianne, was starting to get worried. Glad to hear is just computer problems. hope she gets it up and running soon.

Well hands on the hips, we got major issue here, my eye are popped! We seem to have a crack in the main water pipe...we had a major blockage so DH rod, ended up having to do the entire thing again. Yikes what a project. Well we have been smelling that vile smell since, so went down to check things out...Our wall has shifted so much, he blames the neighbor for not having proper gutter hook ups, sigh. Anyway, it's pretty major work. Checked insurance papers and think we are covered at least for some of the work, will call on that tomorrow.

Lets see, other then that just working out in the yard, still so much to do, but today enjoyed the full day of LAZE, big cheesy grin.
OMG, gotta tell ya...Yesterday was Steve's birthday, we went to a local bar with some friends. ROFLOL, haha, he was playing pool and hit my back with the cue stick. I was like hey...He said I'm so sorry to hit a Goddess like you! Oh gosh, I just busted out laughing.

Oh Deb, hope the new van works well!! Awe, 8 weeks already. Are you keeping them or any?

I am easily addicted things and Animal Planet has taken over morning television!
I love the Vet shows and animal cops and my very favorite is Pit Bulls and Parolees.
Ok well I hope you all enjoyed a Happy Mothers Day

Love and Armwraps to al

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!!
Ves - have we met? I don't think so?!
Betty - not a panel, just different maple leaves, repeated.
My eye is much better - tiny sty left is all, and it doesn't bother me.
Judy - yard is pretty much straightened out - landlord drove by today, "rubbernecking" as Bob said.

Quite the day today - at church all ladies got purple/white carnation. Went to pick up 2 rose bushes and lady also gave me 2 raspberry canes & a bleeding heart!
At home, while planting, I found one of my wedding rings on the ground and other not visible!! Small panic, but I found the 2nd one.
My daughter phoned to wish me Happy Mother's Day & while talking to her I checked to see how close I was with airmiles to come visit my mom, daughter, sister & friends in Winnipeg - I have enough airmiles NOW. I'll leave on May 24th, and return on May 31st - just as Low Season ends, so this means I have enough to go. Wouldn't, in High Season - would have to wait until Sept. I'm so excited!
Bob tilled the veggie garden & I planted the raspberry canes. Rest of new stuff also planted in yard. Tomorrow I'll plant the veggie garden.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like you had a busy day Betty.

Judy, do you ever stop? You are always doing something. Sorry to hear about the broken water pipe, I pray it is covered by the insurance. I never had any of the iris bloom. Maybe it is too hot here? No freeze?

Susan, you too are busy, I am glad to hear you found your rings.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Amanda has opened a thread for a mug swap. Come and check it out.

Barb - has the snow gone away? Hope so, and that you can enjoy your vacation

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Well...finally got warm, had to go to TN to do so. Now b here's the kicker. Got to nearly 90 so we switched to AC in the car and........Nothing. Need to get it checked today, want to be warm but not incinerated. Best theory so far deems to be it has to be reset because we put in new battery. Sure hope that's all it is.
Came for a couple of the greats grads, one to middle school and one to high school. Guess I'm getting pretty old when a great is going to high school. Taking them back home with me, but it will be for a shorter time.High schooler is in band and they do camps most of the summer. sigh

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Praying it is an easy fix Karen.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, calling for a high if 68 today bit Lordy even though thunderstorms tomorrow it's suppose to be 83 hurrah!

Karen, you've a new vehicle do you not, wouldn't the a/c be covered under warrantee..here hoping it's just a reset. You are not getting old, just well seasoned..glad some of the kids will travel north with you..how long are you there for? Understand about the older kids, Braedon and Caleb leave this weekend, they spent all their years going and now they will workhe camp, it's for the elite. Royalty/kids of movie stars etc..they say it's quite something..am sure Jeff is thrilled he is no longer having to pay to send the boys..knew the camp name, have to ask what the name is again..

Have the garbage at the roadside, girls are coming to sew today so must get dressed, coffee time is over

Have to do a few errands in town this afternoon so guess it will be a Kentucky fried chicken supper.

Just to let you all know, Lorna;s Dad, Lorne, passed away in Richmond Hill Hospital this morning at 8:30.
We are heading east tomorrow to King City.

~M~

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh no! So sorry "M". Sending our condolences and prayers.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Sorry to hear of Lorna's dad's passing - she must be devastated. I know how close she in/was to her parents. Hugs & prayers & our condolences.

I'm going to Winnipeg!! SO excited. Will stay with my daughter Michelle, until they go camping, then with my g/f Eileen for one night, then my sister Ruth for the balance. I'll be able to see my Mom!!
Going to try to get to Prairie Originals, to get a False Indigo shrub - only available there, although it's a prairie native and I still live in the Canadian prairies.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We didn't get a new Suburban...Those things are ridiculous in price. $ 75-80 thousand. I'd have to sell my house & live in it. We do have a warranty but only where we bought it which is now 800 miles away. Grandson thinks he can fix it tonight so we'll see.
Youngest great here, Brody heard us come in and stumbled out for a hug then crawled back into bed. I have missed them so much. I'll need to get a years worth of lovin in the next 3 weeks.

Marilyn, please express to Lorna that I'm thinking of her and hugging her in my heart. Safe travels to you.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sending my condolences to Lorna and you as well "M", difficult times for sure. safe travels, don't overdo in the hours of driving..hugs/prayers coming your way!!

Susan, pleased you will get time to spend with family..

Yikes Karen they are expensive vehicles, lot cheaper to repair a/c, let's hope it's a minimal fix or you will have to get a hand fan till you get home.

M, sending my condolences to Lorna. Prayers of strength to her and her family, and for you, also.

How exciting Susan, so happy you can spend some time with family.

Enjoy the kids, Karen, but, I can sure understand needing to get the A/C fixed! We're supposed to be in the upper 80's here the next few days, I'm sure you're getting the heat there, too.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending gentle hugs and deep condolences "M" to you, Lorna, Mom and Gord. May he rest in peace. He fought on tremendous fight for a long time.

Lyndonville, NY

Susan...VES is my friend Vicki. If she cant find me....looks here.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Vicki also use to chat with us all the time..was nice seeing her postL
Debbie, I need to make a Buffalo trip and give you a hug..

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Sunshine day here, imagine we might get up to 82, short short time right?

Imagine by now "M" and Lorna are enroute for Toronto, long trip ahead of them.

Have Service Master rep coming at 9a.m. To go through what is being done and a schedule re workmen. I will call Ann as she knows of a contractor who takes on small jobs and I want 2 walls taken down and one wall built, little early to call her..already I thought it was almost 9 from looking at the clock, have an extra hour so guess I can clean a corner..

once the dampness of the morning has passed I will work on a garden..

that is it for me,how about you?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I took Todd to work, came home and washed the mustang, and will be leaving in a bit to get my nails done.
Our caddy is in the shop getting hail damage from last year fixed, finally. I went to the only rent a car place yesterday, Enterprise, and they refused to rent a car to me. As I do not have a major credit card, only a discover debit card from my bank, so I will be taking Todd to work when I need the car.

Victoria Harbour, ON

What to heck, not everybody has credit cards nor does everyone want one..crazy lindakay..how long will you be without a vehicle? Is it a long weekend for you this weekend? With Todd being home on the weekend it should make your life easier..

Big sigh, thought rooms were being painted, nope, so I hired Service Master to do all the extras, including removing 2 walls , shelving in craft room and building a dividing wall, painting family room..as for craft room I'll make sure it's painted. All and all likely this Reno will cost me about 3k

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Caddy will be in the shop for about 2 more weeks. I will just take him to work if I need the car.
Wow! I am surprised they do not paint, that was part of the damage!

Victoria Harbour, ON

They said they are removing 4" from bottom of drywall and replacing it with different product then putting extra wide baseboard..

They just came and took out the 2 walls, big storage cupboard out..wow I've mega work to get it redone.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Car rental companies have some silly rules. One time they told me I could only use my debit card if I was at the airport...many miles away....but not at the location within two miles.
Must be something with coming to TN, Pancreatitis has flaired up again. Trying to get it under control myself. They always want me in hospital but NOT doing that. Mostly fasting is what is done for it while hooked up to IV. I'm just sipping chicken broth and feeling better today. There is no meds for it so hoping this will do. Got me through it last time. Went to great grandson's graduation this morning early, came back and went back to sleep for 4 hours. Hard to believe he'll be in high school next year. Tomorrow his sister, Sammi will have her ceremony for going to middle school. I'm just feeling so old.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh no Karen, not what you need..how much longer will you be in Tennessee? Sure would be better you being closer to home...can't blame the kids for being cautious wanting you to go to the hospital.. know you love attending the children's school graduations but you must first look after you.

Braedon leaves for camp Monday, Caleb mid June..Lordy look at the camp regiStration fee

Breadon looks so grown up..

Went to town, should have put air on to cool the house down but temps will drop over next few days so no sense unless of course I can sleep due to temps

Not complaining. Lol
