Hey Judy, glad you cam back to DG.
Please be careful in the kitchen.

Betty, I hope he gave you a good dal on that car? LOL!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Good morning. Busy day today. Brandon is once again at Nationals and is riding today. We are subscribed to eqsports and will be able to watch him ride in Kentucky from here in NH. Needless to say we are thrilled. He got to ride a race horse the other day and loved it. But Western is his love.
Off to get my nebulizer done......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Wow! That must be exciting for all of you. Good luck Brandon.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, heavy rain, imagine weatherman says we could have a mixture of snow Sunday, isn't that the pitzz, here is hoping they are all of base.

Worried about Dianne..she usually drops in a bit more, hope it's not her dizziess..

Barb, that is exciting indeed, no greater thrill than seeing grandkids so well..kudos to Brandon. Hard to believe they are at the age they are now, when we first became dg family they were but little tots

Lindakay, yes Kyle looked after grandma, even dropped in to see if I had any issues with the car, smiling, only have 56kl on it, not much I can't like r go wrong with it right lol

Will finish my coffee and sew a bit

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Sewing here today too, have two QOVs to assemble tops so they can go to long armer. Still a tree skirt to make and a T-shirt quilt so in good shape timing wise. Have two more QOVs ready to assemble too but they can wait a bit.
Isn't it great Barb to be able to watch our grands succeed? We didn't raise them but we raised the ones who did, so can have satisfaction there.

Glenview, IL

Good Morning,
Oh gosh how exciting for Brandon!!
Keeping my fingers crossed. So happy Barb you and Norm can watch right from home, Best seats in the house!

Betty, nice wheels!! Lol, Thought you'ld get a truck tho...awe, isn't it sweet when you notice the young ones entire personality changes. Bittersweet, one day a child and then poof full on adult, wahhh. I still smile when I remember that transformation in my 3... Yep, saw your Wolf panel! It's gorgeous, what did you say? Something about string painting??

Well I took drastic measures, braved it up and cut Carol's Love, way back. She has got beautiful foliage, so we'll see how she fairs. Lol, just as past years, anxiously waiting to sea what color/s she blooms...also hoping she will be in full bloom for the Baby shower.
oh here is a funny story...
I bought a red nose for Red Nose Day, Steve came home did his normal routine, come out with the res nose on.
We had a good laugh and then he put it on me and Flo burst into laughter!! Hahah it was so cute!!

Hey, back in a bit

Judy, going to thread paint it, done with feed dogs down, if you can do freehand quilting then you can thread paint. I should have a truck lol

Never heard of Red Nose Day, any special meaning to it? You 2 are adorable.
When is the baby shower Judy..hope you have blooms for it

You deserve a break Karen, you've worked so hard on those quilts.

Went to town, poured..went to see uncle Allan, he looks so much better...had a nice gab, always feel good after seeing him. Met a 2nd cousin and his wife Liz, who call me aunt Betty, he is a few years older than my boys..was telling me wednesday is their 25th..said it seems like yesterday that he spoke to Roger about his excitement in asking Liz to marry him.

Bought those deep floor mats for my car, wanted to open them up and set them in but raining much too hard.

Already in bed, tired tonight

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Got flowers planted in our yard yesterday & today - makes me feel like home :-)
Den is cleaned of drywall mud on the floor, now to vacuum it and we can put the floor down, then panel the wall - THEN I can put up my wall-mounted sewing table- Hooray!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, liquid sunshine this morning, plants are loving it, would love to get some gardens cleaned but no can do when all it does is rain..

Barb, doing happy dance, congrats to Brandon, how proud you must be..best is you were able to watch, 2nd best to actually being next..what is next for our horseman?

You are moving full steam ahead Susan, look forward to photo's

I bought a little rose plant at Walmart last night, set it out on back deck, hoping to remember to bring it in at night seeing we are expecting cold temps and a flurry or two.

Sharon is coming for the day, doing some quilt prep. Friend a few doors down is coming as well..busy day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Congratulations Brandon. That is awesome Barb.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Awesome Barb, that had to be so exciting to watch. I'd have been jumping in my chair.

Glenview, IL

How exciting! Congratulations Brandon. Yep I'm sure your were just Cheering away.

Hi, Susan, it's really nice to see your place is coming along. I really like the Peacock wall paper, very pretty. Well and of course great find in the free panalling, glad it's in great shape...

Karen, I was sorry to hear about your Grand daughter, I hope she make the time to heal completely. Love the welding photo. Oh and hey, I think I have or had one those hoes...

Lol, Betty...red nose day is May something that 27 maybe...red noses sell for $1 donation proceeds go to children in need. They sell pins too.

So here are a few pics of Carols Love...I found a few baby lambs ear has now been added and I enjoyed my first outside fire..was just before the rains, I invested in this weed puller! Oh, and look at this spider!! Lol first time I heard Emily scream!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I would have been in the next county before she got the scream out!!!!! I don't like them at all!

Victoria Harbour, ON

I'd have been running with you Barb..

Judy you've done so much in the back yard since I've been there..plants sure look hearty.
Sharon left at 8pm..my goodness she was on a mission, started quilt top this morning after 9 had several interruptions and she has all blocks made, panel ready to applique flowers and the bridal bouquet to do, won't hake her long to get those done.

Thought I'd fall asleep as soon as I crawled right in to bed but looks as though I woke myself up.

Lindakay, you feeling any better tonight?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Judy - lovely rose!
Betty - still a chance of snow? We had 79F today..... yikes, I'm getting pink lol
TOMORROW we have an installer come to put in our flooring! Here's a pic of it, and the underlay I'm so excited to get further along in moving into our room! He'll return, when we have the trim, to install it too.
Just thought - maybe he'll install the panelling? hmmm depends on the price.
Spent the day planting, prettying up the yard, and oh my - someone's offered 2 rose bushes to us for the price of digging them up! We'll get them a week from tomorrow. She said she had no place for them, and they're either red or pink - frankly, for free.......... well, I like more pretties for our yard!!!

Yes, I am feeling better. Thanks. Sinus headaches are terrible.

I am running right along with you ladies. I hate spiders.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I used to practically get paralyzed with fear when I saw a spider, Then we lived in the log house and there are so many hiding places, we saw them all the time. Just kind of got used to them. Now I have something in my vision that it seems I see something that resembles a spider in the corner of my vision. It moves fast and I always take a second look and nothing is there. Another of my weird idiosyncracies.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

More than 50 years ago, my Mom bought a farmhouse in NH that had been vacant for several years. In the corner of the kitchen was a spider. NO LIE _ the body was at least 5 inches across and the legs extended forever. Well there was my Mom and me. She was not even 5 feet tall so you know who had to get rid of the spider! I did it with a broom and have had an abiding fear ever since. I don't care if they are teeny tiny even - I will run away...... LOLOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, few flurries falling, am sure it's stay will be short lived, cold and dreary.

Yikes Barb you were brave, nope not my favourite thing..when I was in Buffalo with mom bought a big container of spray, was told that when spraying around the house I will have no ants, spiders and the likes..Greg says it's too cold to spray now..have seen a micro spider or two walking on the ceiling, drives Ziggy nuts.

Lindakay hope today you don't suffer with that headache.

Linda and Dave dropped in yesterday, her brother called her and said she could have her mom's sewing cabinet back as he is redoing his entire house, they drove to Toronto to pick it up only to find her sil had thrown out the singer machine inside cabinet, Linda was so upset .. I said I'd take the unit thus their visit yesterday,

This morning I decided to take the cabinet off, only want the metal stand so I can place a nice piece of wood on it, drags not a screwdriver in the house, I've dozens but all in the storage pod..think I will run to midland and pick a few up..maybe try $$store.

Sharon's puppies, cabinet and Sharon's quilt top she worked on yesterday..after I took photo she finished rest of blocks..

Headache is much better today, thanks.
I can imagine how upset he was when he found the machine missing. Why did she take it out?
Those puppies are so cute.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Glad you are feeling better today..Not knowing anything about sewing I imagine she thought it was useless. I told Linda I'll make use of the base and the drawers and think of her mom often..because grandma raised me, aunt Alina and I were like sisters, am sure it will somewhat make her feel better.

Went to $$ store, got screwdrivers and cabinet now apart..will clean the metal, set it and drawers away till I have the area to recycle them

The washroom downstairs next to washroom could have a towel holder

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I love that idea.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

My sister has a Singer treadle frame. Had a glass top made and used it for a porch table.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Sad that the sewing machine was thrown out - some people just don't understand antiques
Glad you're feeling better, LK
Our installer is here, putting in our flooring - hooray! He's got some mahogany trim in his garage, and he's going to give it to us! Wow oh Wow!!

Wow, looks great Susan..love the darkness of the wood.

Ziggy and I are looking out front window, never saw so many bluejays..must be weather bringing them in.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Brandon's Nationals competition ended this afternoon. His team from University at Findlay came in third in the country. Not too bad at all.... And he is still shaking from his win.....It was fun with it being live-streamed and I was able to see it all. We kept texting back and forth and I feel like I spent the weekend with him!!!! Thank heaven Norm has patience.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Better than not bad Barb., isn't technology grand! You had a fabulous weekend then and no doubt norm was as excited as you.

Should have something to eat before calling it a day, won't be hard choice, cereal or cereal. Lol

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Congratulations, Brandon! Awesome that you were able to live stream his win!

I guess I got my eye scratched a couple of days ago - or got some dirt in it. Now it's almost swollen shut, red skin, and hurts like blazes. Will go to the hospital tomorrow, to get something for it. Tried Refresh Tears and that didn't help (thought it might get dirt out - wash out semi-naturally), so tried some antibiotic eye drops. Not helping. I put drops in, then a kleenex on my eye so I won't Touch It. Good thing I wear glasses - it holds the kleenex in place. I don't have an eye patch lol

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Hope the eye heals quickly Susan.
How is everyone else? I'm missing Dianne and the weather doesn't look good up her way. Thought it looked like snow still.....
Are you feeling better LK? Karen? Debbie? Deb? Judy?
Hope you all have a good day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like you scratched your eye Susan.
Pollen is high here, and is making lots of people flare up with bad allergies. I am going to urgent care in a few hours to get meds.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, sunshine in my neighbourhood, say rain starts again on thursday..best I find inside work for the boys re my Mother's Day to do list as all I have on it is outside work..but I'll not despair, lots theyan do inside lol

Lindakay is urgent care the same as our hospital emergency room or it it more like a walk in clinic, hope they can give you something that will knock the heck out of you..

Barb, like you I fret when I see that dg friends are missing, you all are like family, been through a lot together so when one goes missing it's a loss.

Think the front I had the past week Dianne is now getting. Perhaps she is out with TH doing spring cleanup.

Susan, scratch is so annoying, make yourself a temp eye patch out of something, like perhaps a piece of gauze and tape.

Not sure I told you but Andrew my plowman's brother who does yard work dropped in yesterday, I had called about them coming and cleaning gardens again when it's dry, while gabbing I asked how Andre was doing as I was told he didn't have long to live..he said since Christmas Andrew loss 60 lbs, he is 130 lbs now, cancer throughout his system, in bone marrow but he is being sent to Toronto for several months and they will try a new treatment, if he survives that then he will be in a bubble for another 3 months..right now he is not allowed outside or people visiting in case of germs,,his brother is hopingtreatment works but knows what may be ahead...we've seen miracles happen many times through our prayers so ask again to keep Andrew in your prayers.

Feel like being lazy today..omg just remembered possibility workers might come, off to get dressed

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Urgent care is a walk in clinic. I just got some augmentin, for my sinus infection.
So sorry to hear about Andrew, must be so hard on his brother. Sending prayers.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Let's hope it works quickly lindakay..would imagine you are not up to doing anything when you feels as you are..did some paperwork, can't believe it's already 1:00

Amazing how much paper we amass, if wind dies down want to burn what I purged before it rains again.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Heading to hospital in Three Hills - get them to look at eye. I folded up a kleenex and put it over my eye, behind my glasses. Easily swapped out for a clean one - eye's "leaking" a lot.
Chat later, ladies

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hope no major damage susan

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

no major damage, Betty, although I did scratch my eye - top & bottom. Dr gave me a prescription for a gel to put on my eye 3x/day for 5 days. Has erythromycin in it. He says it's easily healed.
50 min from talking to ER Admitting, to heading back to our car - prescription in hand! Gawd, I love rural hospitals!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all,

Good news Susan, fast acting med for sure, well worth the trip to the hospital, wouldn't get out of our hospital emerge for better part of a day.

Sunshine day here, although cool there is no wind so I decided to spend an hour or so outside burning.managed to get most of the tree branches/limbs picked up and burnt. Waiting for Ray to have one of his men come do leaves then all I have to worry about is picking weeds.

Got the garbage to the roadside, Ziggy got out, usually he just stays on the steps but today he decided to go on an adventure, went to grab him and he hissed at me, first time I've heard that sound, guess he is housebound.

Finishing my coffee, girls get here shortly,

What are your plans for the day?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad you got ziggy back inside. Bad kitty.
It is cloudy and sprinkling here today. Not doing much.

Lyndonville, NY

Good morning,

I have not had much access to the computer. I can't even begin to say or communicate all going on here.

Barb, I about jumped out of chair regarding Brandon! Ohhh So very happy for your family. We have watched him growup! Great you could see it!

Betty, be careful and do not over do. YES Please keep Ziggy in the house. He has never been outside before....so he has NO IDEA what he is missing. You are not punishing him. BUT will be heartbreak when he goes missing because he is so adorable someone will scoop him up for sure!

Dexter, my old boy of 16 this week, is still with me. He is eating and doing pretty good (knock wood) and no more incidents on the floor. I have started feeding him away from the others and carrying him up and down stairs. Arthritis is main problem. Truth is...his main issues are with the dog. He hates that dog so much....and has torn into him when he crosses his path. I am watching closely and when I know it is time....I will be one to take him as I have all the others in the past. I feel like Dr. Death.

I gave myself a project. Tore my desk apart and am refinishing/painting it. It has been 3 days so far....resting on and off today but going to get final paint coat on today so it can dry.

Waving to all. I left the paint can open on the desk....so have to get back to it all.

If you can squeeze in a good thought or little prayer...I sure could use it. So afraid I am going in jail or padded room the way things are going. My eyes are almost swollen shut from tears. Says a lot when I go out in public without makeup! My give a dang is busted.

HUGS to you all....Love you all so much Never forget that.

Debbie
