Oh picture of your project please, imagine with it being so damp it takes awhile to dry..funny you should say you are painting furniture, Ann dropped in this morning to show me her latest painting and she was painting all of her bedroom furniture white.

Poor Dexter, how lucky he is to have a mommy like you. Seems to remember Darlene having cats in 21-23, could be right.

Just got pizza from next door, then having a nap, my early morning workout tired me out but the yard looks good, had the landscaper come, all leaves gone, some raking done, all that is left are weeds I have to pick.

Anxious for leaves on trees and shrubs to be full grown as to hide from neighbors lol

Wow, I just came in from trying to get the grass and weeds out of the raised rose garden. I swear that grass has roots a foot deep! I will go out later and try to finish it.

You must be feeling better lindakay, meds working for you to be out doing yard duty.
I'm laying down, being couch potato again, damp and cold plays havoc with my bones but I'm so pleased with what I and the gardener got done..reminded him not to forget to come in the fall..

Feeling a little better. I just needed to get up and do something.

Today is Craft Day, and also Foot Care (just home from that, and will return in 1 1/2 hours for crafting). Also Library Day, and I'm working on it from 5 to 7pm tonight - will be taking books from shelves and carousels to put in Proper order. Right now it's sorted by Genre, Author AND Alphabetically. If it's sorted by Genre, with plainly designated signs, then it can be sorted by author.title within that, books should be easily found. If you're looking for a murder mystery, look under the Mystery/Crime section. Regardless of the author, look for the TYPE first....... right? :-)

Not going to say it's a good morning, got a call early this morning to say Linda had a heart attack last night, they rushed her to Newmarket hospital, operated, don't know if it was a stint or more than that, Dave was so upset when he called.

He will call later when he has further news.

Holding Linda in my prayers Betty. Hopefully things were able to be taken care of and that she will be fine. It is so amazing what they are able to do now for heart patients.

Keeping her and family in our prayers.

Sounds like Linda got early and excellent care. If a stent, it's an easy and quick procedure. I was talking to my Dr. the whole time and could feel the immediate relief when it was in place. That was the first one and it kept things ticking along for 10 years.

Thank you for prayers and concern..Karen, she is at one of the best heart hospitals in Ontario so care she will get.i understand as soon as she is stable she will be sent back to Barrie RVH hospital, perhaps today.

She is special to me, we were raised together as sisters, she married Roger's brother and also became my sil..lots of family history together..kind of took the wind out of my sails..

Knowing Linda she will be thinking no roadtrip 2017 for her!

Good morning. What a storm we had last night. I was just turning out the lights to go to bed, and the tornado sirens started to sound off. They blew for about an hour. Thank God none touched down here, but I have not heard any local news yet to see if anyone had any damage. We had hard rain and strong winds, some areas had hail.

Went to see Linda last night with Suzanne, she was very tired after her move, Linda being Linda was joking and relaying the comical parts of her heart attack, that is how she deals with stress. We didn't stay long as we could see she needed to rest. She sure is upset about not being able to go on our riadtrip in July. If all goes well, no issues, she will be home Sunday or Monday.

She needs to realize she needs to take it easy.

That she does,just got a call to say uncle Allan is back in midland hospital and not doing well, waiting for godson Paul to call me once he gets there and I'll decide then about going tonight vs tomorrow

Looks like you got Linda's rain Betty but of a different nature. They si never rains but it pours. Will keep Linda and your Uncle in my prayers....

All this is tiring me out..trying to figure out a weekend schedule to see uncle Allan, Linda and mom for Mother's Day then have boys so they can help me with a few things

Got a mini-rant from our property manager - he wants the yard cleaned up. We just got our $$ from the gov't yesterday, so now have the $$ to build the deck (supports) and have the rest of the deck boards in our yard. Yes, it's a mess, but we did what we could. I HATE living in a construction zone, and Bob's been so tired and really hasn't caught up on getting stuff done. We couldn't afford to hire anyone. Now, Bob's going to have to do it "right quick" as our landlord said.
In order to "store" our RV on their empty lot, the new owner wants $300/yr, and if we set up the hot tub, they want $50 / month because of the water usage. I asked "even if we just use $50/year in water? We only change it twice a year" and he said "yes" Bob's outside, straightening the lumber, and then will start building the deck. I sat in our yard, crying, after Bill told me these things. I am so unhappy. We Don't Live Like This.......... normally. It's been a very unusual 2 years.

That he has Susan, one more push, just one more and you and bob can relax.

Head is spinning here, so much to take in re repairs.hoping Therrien's flooring rep comes tomorrow to do measuring for entire basement and then I will go in and make my choice based on funds allotted..that being said I'm adding flooring for storage area and laundry/washroom area..might even add staircase rugging..have to see about that

Hoping Service Master rep drops in to review all the repairs and replacement items that I received tonight from insurance adjuster..then I guess next step is the budget for items that need to be replaced..just thinking of all makes me tired.

On good side think they are painting craft room

I signed the papers for a van, waiting for some work I want done before I pick it up. Hopefully by middle of next week. It's a 2016 Transit 350. I think it has seats for 12 or 15, but with most of those out, (I'll leave in one short row, so I have a spot for my DGD's car seat), I'll have plenty of room for my dog crates, grooming table and supplies, canopy tent, and all the random stuff I take to dog shows. Of course, with the payments, who knows how many shows I can afford to go to!! Always something!

I must go out and see if my riding lawnmower will start, if not take battery out and charge it..if I soon don't cut I'll have mega raking to do..see I've a few tulips in bloom, should cut a few for a bouquet and enjoy.

Got the one with the windows. The other looks too much like a commercial vehicle. I liked the back area of the cargo van (without windows). Vinyl flooring and tie downs, which would be perfect for dog crates and easy clean up, but I wanted at least some rear seating so I can take my DGD with sometimes. Need a rear seat for her car seat, and the ones without windows had only the two front seats.

Pups are getting big, 8 weeks old, now. My friend is supposed to come up around the 23rd and pick her two. Once she does that, I'll know which I have for puppy buyers. I'm still torn on which to keep. Going to visit a friend on the 20th, I'm hoping he will give me some ideas, because I keep going for personality, and I know I need to look more at structure. I just love them all so much! But, boy are they the work!

Haven't seen Dianne posting lately. Hope all is OK with her and the TH.

Omg, I went to therriens to look at flooring, works out I have $5,500 to spend on flooring which includes taxes and installation..well I've met men who think women are useless and not worth dealing with but the guy I had was horrible..last place I will shop, so next week I'll be looking..as well they said 3-4 weeks to get product in

Went to see uncle Allan, short visit with Darlene and now I'm tired out

Just spoke to Jeff, he is in bed sick and has been for 2 day..don't need him around me..we will meet up one night for supper as Caleb and Braedon leave for camp next weekend and won't be back until beginning of September.

Just got comfy in bed, here is hoping I will have a good night's rest.

Went to Calgary today - saw my Dr, took Anne & John out for lunch, went to Fabricland & got some Downton Abbey wool ($3/ball - 8 balls) and a Design Wall for 50% off, then to visit Doug and then grocery shopping and to a Garden center - got some Impatiens. 1 orange, 1 red, 1 white and 1 pink. We were gone a total of 12 hours - phew!!

Morning all..going to rain, been waiting for neighbourhood to wake up so I can cut grass and get ahead of it..think I will wait till 9 then start.

No plans. Andy has car problems, so he and the family will be here next week end.
It was a cool 55 this morning when we got up. Supposed to reach 95 this afternoon.

Yes, Betty, that's the van, but I got the lower roof, so maybe it will fit in my garage, and it's silver. Love that blue color.

No plans this weekend, other than trying to get caught up on laundry, housework, and grooming. Pups love to play outside, but can't leave them out unless someone is with them. Told my kids we'll do Mother's Day some other weekend, unless they want to come over and help with some yard work. No response to that. LOL! I've learned not to expect too much, won't be disappointed that way.

I also got some Oh Canada fabric by Henry Glass - may make some outdoor cushions - have weatherproofing spray. Got 2 panels that were already cut 2 of .8 meters

On for only a minute - Just want to make sure I wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day. Going away for a couple days unless the rain gets really bad.....

Been a busy day..had to work my mind a lot and am totally exhausted and head hurting..knew I wasn't myself when something for $1.50 made me upset, I'm unreasonable..ever have something that you know you should let go but decide mentally 'nope' matter of principle..know you will shake you head at me when I tell you, youwill say Betty,Betty,Betty!!!

Stopped into Barrie Sew & Quilt where I buy fat quarter bundles monthly , already paid for but I needed sewing machine needles..bill for needles was $15.40..when I went to pay I realized the black shopping bag you buy for $5 I use to get 15% off my order had been taken out of my car when I bought new one last week..I said do I get my $1.50 off, she said 'no, wouldn't be fair to other customers' hmmm last year I spent over $5,000 if not more, bought sewing machine and other supplies and knowing I've bought several of the $5 bags you can't discount $1.50????? Several other shoos in area, Monday I will cancel my fat quarter of the month purchaseand daily specials..can you believe I'd take it so personal?

Yesterday it was the attitude of Therriens Flooring I didn't like, I must be going through the nasties lol

Had buffet lunch with Suzanne in Barrie, then we went to the flooring shop where I first saw flooring I liked, will get same, the attendant said she would call tomorrow to schedule a time for her to come do measurements..once I pay 75% of cost it will take 3-4 weeks for installation

Head pounding, going to bed..
