I had 80 some staples removed after my bypass. The ones in my legs weren't bad at all, most I didn't even feel. The ones in my chest were another matter. Nurse was very kind and took it slow letting me nod to tell her when.
Prayers for you, Pat, that you & Ben get the care you both need for him.
Susan, it should not be too bad to have them removed. Like Karen says just take it nice and slow.
Omg omg, Greg just called, apparently there is a local site online that you can make comments on charges within your community, Mel was online and it said a bus driver had been charged with impaired, this man posted, oh yes, when I was 7 I remembered Betty pauxpze my bus driver being charged for impaired, took us all of the bus while they took her away, Mel said not Betty Pauze, he said yes it was her
I did drive bus part time when I worked as rec ordination, only time police took me away was when I had a bus accident with a young man who came on my side of the road, took me to hospital as I was injured as was the young lad
I'm sick to my tummy
One thing came to mind, one day a young lad about 18 was taking a corner and was on wrong side of road, I hit him, his father just a few years before became paralyzed from car accident on same road, all the young man could say was will I be paralyzed like my dad, knew him well, police did take kids of the bus, had another bus pick them up, police stayed with me as I was in shock and another with Teddy and both brought to emerge..teddy was hospitalized for a week and I ended up with neck problems due to shock
I am sick about this
WOW! Hard to believe they can make comments on something when they don't know the whole story.
I hope Greg posted the right info.
Melanie said she texted the guy and had him remove it but he says he knows what is true..
Thank you, Karen for that advice. I guess I'm not as good with pain as I thought.
I called Home Care, and she said she'll come by at 4pm, on her way home, so I gather she won't be rushing to another client.
OH Betty - I am sick For you........ how awful to see someone say this online. It's not only damaging, but it's slander - not true at all. He likely heard the officer ask (as I think they have to?) if there was alcohol involved, or maybe they tested both of you? Testing or asking does not make it so, just part of the investigation.
Thank goodness he removed it, or he really could be charged with slander.
I hear Bob's out in the den, cutting something. He's really working hard on it. More so lately.
Glad he removed that post, Betty, but how awful that it was ever put up! There should be some sort of filter so people can't put things that are untrue on a community website!
Had some happy news yesterday. Took Sissy for an ultrasound and we have pups on the way! Vet thinks 5 or 6! Ultrasound was so cool, I even got to hear heartbeats!! The vet gave me a disk with some pics from the ultrasound. At this point, they look like the ultrasound pics I have of my kids when I was pregnant!
hello all,
saw some sad news on facebook, don't know how many of you remember rubyw
she use to be on our thread, she passed away yesterday lost her battle with cancer.
such a sweet lady.
I'm still looking for her applesauce cake recipe. May she rest in peace and may her family find comfort knowing what a fine woman she was to all...
Omg Liz, yes do remember her well, actually she gave us her applesauce cake recipe and I make it all the time, used to drop in often on hr thread reorganizing and getting rid of excess, she had lovely gardens, that is indeed sad news, thanks for letting us know.
Good news Deb, bet you are thrilled to bits..are they all spoken for? Think Sharon goes this week to find out if she will have pups.
I've calmed down, and yes, one should be accountable for things that can ruin your reputation.
Was up early this morning, vacuumed and dusted the family room diwnstairs so with it snowing and blowing not much else to do but play inside. Will be wicked with the ice under the snow, how many more days till spring? Of course Ziggy had to help me, one broken flower pot and glass which covered the painting I did of Sailor, big sigh
Guess Debbie is out taking photo's
Well there you go Barb, looks like Betty can give you the applesauce cake recipe. I never met rubyw.
I believe I read on Cubits there is a recipe page, maybe you can find it there too.
I can provide recipe if anybody wants it..only think I changed was buying mixture of raisins and cranberries vs just raisins..maybe I'll make some..it's the best thing for freezing, seems to come out just as moist
So sorry to hear she lost her battle. Sending lots of prayers for the family.'
Betty. Ziggy needs a crate for time out.
I am very much of a dullard (while maybe more than usual) where does 1 go to find the snail mail addy of a DG member?
Thanks
D
I would love to have the recipe if you can email it Betty

Let cool
No not out taking pictures. So dark and overcast.
Must say I am in a terrible funk.
I didn't know Ruby unless she had another name on DG. The cake sure sounds good.
Waving to all. WLs say a storm due in tomorrow Will believe it when I see it.
I don't believe I met rubyw either. My prayers certainly go out to her family in this difficult time.
omg Betty - Ziggy DEF needs a time out - naughty kitty! Is the painting still ok?
Deb - wonderful! Love new born puppies :-D yeah, it does look like human babies do!
I'm so pleased with myself - I got up on a stool and made myself an omelette for lunch. Our minister had brought some farm fresh eggs from a local farm, and I just had to try them. yummy
Back on the knitting trail - friends brought me some blanket wool, and I'm knitting a blanket for charity - babies in Africa
Oh Debbie, hope this funk leaves you soon..yep you knew Ruby..by the way, your sending me the paper doll quilt photo really put me in being a kid again mode, not all bad lol remember I'm stateside for weather permits on 18th/19th..would love to meet up with you.

Lordy, decided I'd go to foodland and get supplies to make applesauce cake and wouldn't you know didn't have the mixed bag of raisins, fruit and cranberries so will wait until I go to Barrie or Midland...that being said I let the car run for an hour and barely made a dent in the ice, worked a good 20 minutes to 1" of ice off windshield, by the time I got home with a little bit of prying sheets of ice off the roof now sit on the walkway. Grrr. Should see how much it costs for a carport..
Joanne called me today,a friend passed away, 58 yrs old.said he was the 1st boy who kissed her, this was in grade 1, massive heart attack.
Sorry Dianne, I thought you meant d-mail location
Thanks Debbie and LK. I wrote it down ... now watch me lose the paper I wrote it on.
With ya on the ice situation Betty. I didn't even bother to take the garbage up to the top of the lane. Won't bother with recycle in the morning either. Just trying to cross the yard to empty ashes was treacherous. I dumped the wheel barrow full of wood twice. Geesh. I decided it was easier to toss the wood as close to the door as possible then just pick it up and carry it in.
The guys from Leonard Fuels were to come today to check on a small oil leak but they called about 5:30 saying they would come tomorrow. The bottom line was they were worried about getting their van down the lane to me. Tomorrow they will come with a 4 wheel drive truck.
Duke was just out of control all day yesterday and today. I started him back on his elavil. He was doing so well but maybe just needs rest from himself. He was so naughty yesterday he put himself in his crate. I am lucky that he responds to the tone of my voice. When he flew into a room today and snatched a stuffie right out of Diesel's mouth as soon as I started to say something he ran to his time out spot. lol I swear sometimes he has a guilty conscience and puts himself in his time out spot. Then I go looking to see what he has done.
Thanks for the link Deb to Westminister. You must be pretty excited about the ultrasound.
Stay safe and warm everyone
Dianne and her TH
Treacherous for sure Dianne, what you don't need is to fall and break a hip or break an arm/leg,,let's hope that's it for freezing rain!
Too funny about duke and time out, am sure they know when they've done wrong.
Just got a call.. from great nephew, well really 2nd cousin but because of being raised by my grandmother and seen as their grandmother's sister they call me aunt...he was raised on the island and would spend time with Roger and I early spring or in freeze up so they could go to school, still call to touch base..he lives about 80 miles north of here, wanted to pick my brain about running a snowmobile poker run in his area...nice chat..
kidney/debbie, i don't know where to find the addresses.. i will look and get back to you. I have sent admin a question about it.
Good morning everyone. T.G.I.F.
Kind of fogging and a light drizzle this morning. But is supposed to warm up this afternoon.
Going to be a full moon tonight with a partial eclipse, and a comet about 2 in the morning.
