Called Susan's husband a few minutes ago, said she went through the operation ok, she does not have a phone in her room so he is not in contact with her and the nurses station only have desk top ones...unless a friend visits who has a cel he will not hear from her before she is ready to come home..its 1 1/2 hrs each way so can't visit..thinks he will get a call to pick

Pat, think weather plays a good part of the feeling down, once the birds are chirping and you can go outside it will surely help..yep if you don't work, no money to do things, if you do work, no time to do things

Snow has not stopped here yet. We were just supposed to get a light trace to an inch or so. I would say we are over 3 inches and rising.

I'm home and I need to fix dinner before my son comes home. I found my hot pink paint and maybe I can get a little chalk painting done if I can stay awake after dinner! I have found several recipes to make for your own chalk paint and I want to give it a try.

Slept for a good hour and now wide awake, got up and had a hot bath, hot chocolate and muffin I made this afternoon and going to try once again to find the sandman.

My day with Norm was nice. We just chilled out watching mindless TV together with him napping now and then. I was working on his cat. Almost done with page three.

High of 36 here, had just a dusting of snow, likely melt during the day but are calling for a skim again tonight

Saw that there was tracks in the yard, looked on back porch and Melanie had left a tote of clothes to be washed and dried, 4 trips later and about $300 (labour and parts) and her machine still isn't working, for that she could have almost bought a new one..I would be complaining, seems the repairman is just trying one thing after the other and has no clue to why it's not working..told her instead of sitting in laundrymat just drop it off here, she will come tonight for a bit.

Got an email from joanne asking me if I was up to company this morning, yep always up to good company, she is such a positive person.

Was waiting for Mel but it's time for me to lay down, no not the wash, just done in so had my bath, Ziggy loves bubbles lol and now in bed..if Mel comes she will have to entertain herself.

Finally my dr's appt is tomorrow, will go over a few things, appt long time coming.

My contacts came in late today....tbey called at 5:15....so might have DH pick up for me. Hate to drive an hour....there 2 minutes and back. He goes past on way home from work

Betty, I drive my Jeep Cherokee. Ben's truck is not workign & the 2nd truck as well... Ben got it and hauled it home to work on it but it wasn't running yet when he went into hospital.
Yes, son #2 Kevin has been living with us less than 2 years. Couldn't really ask for someone easier to live with. cleans up after himself, is quiet but sociable. He has friends over every Sunday afternoon and they play cooperative board games generally.
When Kevin moved in he was working full time, then enrolled in college & finished his AA degree, while still working. He also got his yoga instructor certificate and with luck next year if the local college starts the Physical therapist assistant program he will be in it.

No dog shows here, my Bonnie is still with my handler friend. She's going to Richmond Va this weekend. Just needs one major win to finish her Ch. title.
Waiting to see if the breeding we did earlier in the month took. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but afraid to get my hopes up. We've been unsuccessful, because of the stud dog, the past three tries (with two different stud dogs), we've got a good one this time, and there's no reason it shouldn't work out, I'm just afraid to get my hopes up.
Health wise, I'm fine. Knee is still very stiff if I've been sitting for very long, but no pain. Not sure if the arthroscopic surgery was the right thing to do or not. Before I had pain and stiffness sometimes, now, I have no pain, but stiffness all the time.
Has anyone heard how Susan is doing, after her surgery?

Ohhh Barb, so hope nothing changes and your friend can finally come have a play day. I'm doing two kits for Liz, seems her mom used hers in a power outage and wants 2 more..best I get the wood this weekend and have them ready so when I go stateside I can post them..keep your eyes open to spring wreaths. As for Susan she should if all went well get to come home today so likely tomorrow she will have wifi and can update us.

Yep, you were right it is the generals house! My gosh, he has been in and out of rehabs, so old and fragile, hate to make of the guy any more. Happen to notice they brought him home again just yesterday.
Well, heck so I will make fun of their kids, Heavy laughter as I say the apple don't fall far from the tree, hahaha.
So they have been in and out with cleaning supplies and such.
Our place has been pretty quiet since Jake has been working, the girls are gone and we just don't have visitors as we did, anyway...This past Saturday we did have company for MIL's 83 Birthday! S& MIL parked in our driveway and the space was open directly in front. They were not even out of the car and the daughter comes running out jumps in their big truck and parks in front, smack dab in the middle!
LOLOL, I was waiting for her to jump out and measure front and back like the general. guess she missed that lesson on parking. She has done this several times. We were laughing about it to one of Jakes Buddies. He wanted to know what this nut was doing. So I explained about the parking dilemma they all seem to have. Jake say's That's exactly what's going on...
For those who don't know about my crazy neighbor's We have had this parking war since the day we moved here 17 years ago! Even after they stopped driving, no one in their driveway She(wife) has anyone except the nurses park in front of our house. LOL we stopped caring a very long time ago but we do still like to laugh about it...So Laurie wanted to know where Steve was going to park, just then he gets home parks directly in front of their big truck, leaving enough room for a person to scoot through, He is just as bad as they are with his retaliation over it, lol leaving them no other choice but to have to back up. It's just so stupid it is hysterical.
Oh AND you know how anal he was over his lawn? OMG he must spitting over there, I have never ever seen such a natures mess. Even Bill was taking care of it until November when the kids took over...It's riddled with seed pods from the trees, and good heavens big fallen branches, lol how many times have I seen the general run right out and pick said natural debris as soon as weather was done.

Hey Judy, Sounds like your house is about to be nice and quiet with all the kids growing and doing their own thing.

Good morning, I am up early (for me lately) and having coffee. Fed the critters inside.....and outside. Lord if I haven't become the crazy cat lady with strays outside!!! They were so thin and frail ...at first. Not any more! Heddy never did have kittens....I was SURE she was preggers. Not so....well fed. Sure want to get her trapped and cared for before another litter happens. Yes....we have tried several traps. Only caught a possum!!!

I was a bad bad girl....spoiled myself. Almost had my Target card paid off....but...my Doc told me I had to find a reason to get up in the morning and give myself a treat of some kind to look forward to life. It should be here tomorrow...will see.

Betty our snow that was so pretty 2 days ago is totally gone, only a trace in the shade....but is raining now so that will be gone soon. Heavy snow and Lake effect Buffalo way. They say it will be lasting until TUESDAY. Not due to come here.

Barb...I may join you with the lanterns. I have yet to do mine with the two unexpected trips to Cleveland before Christmas. Then I don't have the little ones any more (its good they have great activities after school) and just have been feeling puny.

You soon will be experiencing empty nest syndrome ..is Jacob working full time now? What ever happened to the interview you had, disappointing you didn't get it.

I know, it already feels like empty nest...Mostly because Jake is working full time 4-10 P.M. He has an awesome job, great benefits, good money and weekends off!!
Well he has a few weekends and now it's winter he doesn't mind the OT, lol...I am pretty much alone anyway, you know, he/they take care of their running and such and I have been trying to respect that that are a couple sharing this house, I have been kind of staying where they are not., lol, much easier with my own room!!

Well, as far as that job, I just knew it was too good to be true. lol, The job was for data entry being the majority of the position. Interview was fantastic until, I had to take a typing TEST, heavy sigh, I did ok on first one but had 2 mistakes more so had to take a 2nd timed TEST and knowing that, it was worse than the first, BAM interview over!! Well, had I known a typing test required I would have never applied.
In fact no where in the job description I read was Data Entry even mentioned. None-the-less, I felt like a total looser. Well I am over it, I've never been a fast typist and I still to this day have to look at the keyboard...Decided now to question that before interviewing, what a waste of time, and at least I won't be working in the basement with no windows. So, I continue to browse hopeful something will come my way.

Just got in from doctors, said I have a bad concussion , said that it's a chronic subdural hematoma, 2 of them..bleeding has stopped, but I am to rest as it will take some time..if I watch tv it's to be programs on the quiet side, brain can handle that, not to be reading, very little time on computer, anything that takes brain power keep to minimum..can drive but not to go crazy for a week or two on long trips as its forcing vision and brain to work.could also wear sunglasses so light doesn't bother me.

I told him that when I'm tired or done too much that my body/brain tells me so,he said that is too late, must have rest before it gets to that point..

He said not to fret if I become confused from time to time, told him nobody would notice any difference because they think I'm always confused 😀
