Morning all,
Brrrrr but says we'll have another gorgeous day is weatherman is correct.
Pat glad your dad is doing better...sorry you will miss the craft fair because of the pain, feel for you..you needed the downtime, with Monday and Friday off you will catch up I'm sure..
If you mean the craft we do yearly, yes we are doing it..here is the link and you are not too late

Although tired I did make it to the craft show, no Christmas items came home with me, lovely top and scarf, design in grey/black
Thinking about my Santa Warren box, think I will work on filling it and when I o the the Sugar Plum Craft show with the girls next Saturday am sure I will find something special to add to it
Off to pick up groceries then play in craft room, still have about 12 toes and 3 trees to bring in from back shed..another fun day
What is in your plans?
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?chat with friends old & new!
Ladies, I am off to the airport, to See Dad. I will post when I can. I will be back next Sunday night.
Morning everyone !
For those of you in the Santa Warren exchange if you have any questions about the name you received please DMail either Betty or myself. Some people have allergies , diabetic .......
Sun is shining ! I don't even have the woodstove on.
Which craft show did you go to Betty? I know you said but I can't remember.
Need to get outside and use the leaf blower (it looks like I have never done it) plus throw some blocks of wood around.
Enjoy your day everyone.
Dianne and her TH
Enjoy Lindakay
Liz got your envelope, finally made it to post office
Dianne it looked so cold out, went to foodland and it was quite mild
molsons craft show in Barrie, more ally nice items but after unpacking and seeing what else has to be unpacked I passed on many pieces I'd normally have bought but saw the top and although casual look dressy as well
Time to make a coffee, bought donuts, Liz's fault, now I have to eat them all..she sent more $$ than she should have, told me to treat myself to donuts and coffee Lol
lol
Been finding zip lock bags with fabric cut to make projects..found a bag that cut outs make about 6 Christmas stockings so did 2 but thinking I'd best move on to tree skirts..now that I've cut my time of weeks before Christmas by 2 I'm a tad behind
Last tote I brought in were Christmas lights and tree decorations for living room tree, proud of myself that last year I took enough time to store each separate cord set in a bag on its own so no stress in untangling
How are you filling in your day
Spent most of yesterday resting as I had a hard time sleeping Friday night. Guess it was just one of those nights. Today we are going to the ice arena to hear our youngest granddaughter and her class sing the National Anthem prior to a hockey game. I haven't been to a hockey game in years!!! I'm bundling up as I hate the cold!
Morning, well almost afternoon
Was up early, even earlier than I thought with changing clocks
Must be a day for telephone calls, seems I've been on phone for hours, me who is not fond of phones. Lol
Am sure you will enjoy the game Barb, bring a lap quilt, mitts and a thermos of hot chocolate.
Are you all thinking 'Christmas box'?
Had a frozen turkey from freezer to oven kind so decided to cook it that way I won't have to cook most of the week, getting lazy..will take a run and buy a turnip, can't have turkey without turnip right?
See streaks in the large windows so off to get windex before heading to foodland Lol
I don't think I have ever eaten a turnip. Will put it on a list to try some day.
The craft show was packed as usual. Had to park way on other side of the casino
in the far back parking lot. A good 10 minute walk just to the door. THankfully the weather was nice.
Went through entire venue and not one thing caught my eye. DH however ended up with fudge (walnut and turtle), a turtle candy, apple strudel, a bag of kettle corn and a few samples he tried throughout! lol
Then we went to Vidlers 5 & 10 store. A old fashioned type with penny candy (not a penny any more) and the fun stuff we grew up with. Got a few kitchen gadgets and came home.
Going out and do some yard work. My hanging baskets need put away and front porch cleaned off. Talking DH into putting up the porch trimmings before he has surgery and the weather changes also. He got the approval yesterday....so will set it up this week probably. Not looking forward to him home for weeks!
Waving to all....stay safe and healthy! Barb, put scarf across your face in there.....I always come out of an arena with a cough from the cold air!
Oh Deb that is very sweet. Your DGD will love it.
Another stellar day here, same on tap for tomorrow. Will be watching where we walk for the next 2 weeks. Have my orange cloth ready to wrap around around their collars.Wood ticks are really bad right now so I am trying to be careful where we walk.
Ya know Betty being 'crafted' out is more common than you think. There are so many of us who either attended or participated in shows for so long there are very few new ideas,
Time change has wrecked havoc here and will for a week of so. The TH are such a creature of habit.
D and her TH
Debbie how did I know Paul would be in the sweet booths, anything different that I might have wanted?wow, getting approval and scheduled right away, that's wonderful, well maybe not for yours he gets in the way lol. I too should be out cutting greenery for the hanging baskets, I'll miss Rita this year as she will be have moved to Georgetown 100 miles away..
maybe I'll go to Barrie garden gallery and buy various greenery trimmings, have cedar along the drive so I can cut some..a, sure some of you remember my brush with possible death a few years ago...not going to do that again..few more totes came in, Lordy it not easy filling totes with Christmas purging..wanted 3-4 totes but so far only have one for Kyle..just maybe what I don't want is in totes I've not yet brought in 😉
Debbie, if you do turnip while mashing add lots of butter, pepper, salt and brown sugar, am sure you will like it.
Deb, love the bag, you certainly will make DGD as happy as can be..know Barb did many bags for the children's hospital, filled them with crayons and drawing books but don't think barb had crayon pockets outside the bag..
I did a few christmas's ago aprons that had the crayon pockets, Suzanne's granddaughter loved it.
Dianne, not seeing major 'got to buy' items as well..I'm looking for beer mitts for Mel, sure don't wan to be knitting them myself although Ann brought a pattern for us Tuesday.
Turkey almost cooked, mouth watering because if it soon isn't I'll have eaten all the turnips. Lol
Hunting season, do the dogs go crazy? Godson Paul posted a photo of what he found in the forest this morning..some hunters have a good sense of humour
Wonderful day here as well, think weather pattern is same for both of is..hot in here, guess oven and elements create more heat than I thought.
Laying on the couch for a bit waiting for turkey, was doing well with energy level before the couch but now, think it's time for nap but will fight it and get back to my sewing the Christmas tree skirt...wanted too done today si I can quilt tomorrow
LOL, that is cute!
This past week my nephew Chris and friends went out hunting and one drowned. They got to a river that they usually wade across but the water was faster and Chris and another said they didn't think it was safe, one thought it was. It was MUCH deeper and faster than normal, the current grabbed him, they could not save him. Chris is having an awful time coping with it.
How very sad Pat. We just never know when it is our turn.....
Oh Betty you really made me laugh. The rock in your photo could be the 1 I have close to the front of the house. Duke would be going crazy if something was perched on his 'rock'.
Pat how sad for your nephew to experience a death while doing something he enjoys with friends.
There is both ground and aerial searches since Friday looking for a guy just north of the village. His camp is on his property and he went to check it for supplies. He has not been heard from since. Oh ya I guess I better tell you deer hunting starts at the crack of dawn tomorrow.Puts everybody on edge here.
The TH can go out on the deck tonight not out the front. The deer are on the move and I can hear some noise from 1 of the camps close to me. People forget that talking either in a boat or onshore transfers quite a distance.
I gave up trying to wrangle the leaves. Will start again in the morning.I really need to get control of my wood pile. Sounds like it is a person, doesn't . I've trying to burn the wood that was left from 2 years ago and in doing so I have made quite a mess. Although and I am not complaining as I appreciated the help who ever stacked the blocks of wood did not do a very good job. That has caused the woodpile to collapse in some places.I keep 2 areas of wood stacked in the carport so will move all the wood that is all over the place to there tomorrow.
Guess I should find something to eat. Betty's turkey sure sounds good.
Dianne and her TH
Morning all, another glorious day..sunshine and nice temps
Dianne so wish you lived closer, not sure why but that was one of the best turkey dinners I think I've ever made...id have gladly shared with you as I've leftovers galore.
Am sure you are vigilant in watching for hunters.
Oh Pat how horrible about the drowning, your nephew must be beside himself, prayers for his family...we truly and I think same for you haven't had temps cold enough that one wouldn't know it's not safe...big sigh
Barb how did the hockey game go, winners? Did you find it extremely cold?
Just vacuumed, taking my coffee downstairs and within the hour should have a Christmas tree top done, easy but so much waste of feabric so I think I have my mind around doing it another way, might even be able to use the pile of leftovers from this one. In between think I will bring a couple more totes in and perhaps a few more trees to set in their places, add in cutting more workshop projects well, that should fill in Monday
What's on your agenda?
It's my VERY FIRST Monday off with my new 4 10s work schedule!! Internet company is coming to fix the connection issues. We're getting about 12% of what we are paying for and keep losing connection or timing out, very frustrating!
I need to get the old washer and dryer out of the house, tomorrow our new set should be installed! Yea! No more babysitting a washer that keeps throwing error codes!
I did a little retail therapy, washed up all the stuff I bought and now I'm remaking it all into doll clothes. I absolutely did not need more fabric to make more clothes. I have it coming out my ears but ...
Best I start cleaning before the internet guy gets here, then I can go back to SEWING! .
Sounds like a few exciting days are ahead of you Pat..you said you had Friday off, is it because of Remembrance Day?mbanks and government offices close here, at least I think banks still close
I have a little pas of trims and embellishments that I will send you, not sure they will be of any use but I will send when I'm in Buffalo a week from Saturday ..wouldn't want to add more to your stash that you can't use but little embellishments and bling cost $$$ might save you a tad
Yes Friday off because of the holiday.
I would LOVE to have the trim & bling, I especially like the silver dot fabric, that is COOL!
Your dad looks so healthy Lindakay, bet is did you a world of good seeing him so
Already in an envelop Pat, hope I don't forget it now when I pick up other parcels to mail..maybe I'll start a "note" entry on my iPad of things to do before heading stateside
Hungry so off to make a plate of turkey and fixings, mouth watering
I enjoy this site but what happened to Marilynne?
Betty, glad you are feeling well. you are making me hungry for turkey.
Won't be long Liz you will be having turkey dinner, few weeks
Yes, thanks for your kind words, am feeling much better
Not sure about "M" ,. was told she now frequents another thread but we do miss her
Hiya Liz - good to see you
Yes, you're much perkier sounding, Betty - our little busy bee!
