Yawning so maybe a nap is in order now that I had lunch

Ooohhh must tell you about lunch..had just enough spaghetti sauce for lunch so cooked. Spaghetti, took a mouthful and wow did it taste like red tomato sauce..came to me, when I had company the other night Rita and Randy wanted to do some clean up, just confirmed it with Rita, Randy must have thought the container was for chilli so added left over chilli to my sauce..taste ok lol

Greg got the better of the deal in my opinion. Of course, if that were three or four sheets of acrylic I might change my mind!!! LOL

Love the costumes Betty. Glad you got your plexi piece.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

This has been a 2nd great day in a row! Yesterday we had a fellow, Jamie, helping us and because he can only help on Saturdays, he had his dad offer to help us and he did - Sunday & Today. He'll be back tomorrow. They now have the yard a bit tidier, and all of the trusses and the 2nd gable are now up. Bob had the first gable up before. I can now think forward to having the room to where we can move stuff into it........ soon?!?! :-D

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning everyone. Is everyone hibernating? Been very quiet weekend all over DG!
I think I am finally getting rid of this sinus stuff. :) Getting things ready to get packed for my trip Saturday to Michigan. Looking forward to seeing my Sis and Dad. My youngest brother and his family are there from Colorado, it will be nice to see them too!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

LK - SO glad to hear you're going to see your sister & dad - nice to see your youngest bro & his family. :-D How long has it been since you've seen them?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I think it was 3 or 4 years ago, last time I was there.

Lyndonville, NY

Linda Kay I remember you r last trip, Didn't Betty go meet up with you? Seems I remember pictures in the big store there or having lunch. This will be a wonderful time for you.

Hectic time here. Emotions and memories at the forefront. Having similar issues a
-M- and also other happenings. Mind is just boggled.

Bathroom reno is almost done. I will try and get some pics. Have to wait til the spring I think to do the floor...but did get some bath carpets in there.

Betty, the costumes turned out just great!!! If they realized all you put into that....money and time wise....you should have a dozen sheets of that acrylic!

I have cardio appointment tomorrow....more than a bit nervous. I am sure all will be fine.

Grabbing another cup of coffee
Debbie

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yes, I met up with Betty and her friends, Karen and Judy. We had so much fun.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Debbie - hoping the cardio goes well.Take care :-D

Boy, the fellows are really working hard on our home - skirting, addition, and current roof (scraping off the old joint compound, and putting better stuff on (strips of blue vinyl "tape"). I'm excited to have the den done, so we can start putting the finishings on (floor, doors & windows, & insulation & drywall........), the I can get going on the decorating - That will be our Christmas present from Bob & I to each other.

Went up to Wisconsin to run dogs yesterday. 3 of the 4 ran, the fourth was nervous and didn't complete the course. I think there were too many strangers standing at the finish line, because he ran beautifully for the first 3/4's of the run then turned and ran back toward the start. Boy, my knee sure didn't like the standing/walking for 5+ hours while I was out there. It's a bit swollen and stiff today!
Sounds like things are moving quickly on your addition, Susan!
Enjoy your trip LK! I'm sure it will be great seeing family again.
Prayers for a good cardio appt, Debbie.

Deb

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I made up a couple of treat bags for Ken's grandkids - he's cutting out early today, to take them out.
I'll make a couple more treat bags for our neighbour's two kids - boy & girl. The most polite kids I can ever remember meeting - so considerate!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Glad to hear you have finally got good neighbors Susan.
Enjoy your trip LK. I was looking at the photo of all of you at Frankenmuth the other day. What big smiles!!!!
Rest your knees Deb. They just aren't quite ready yet for running!!
Rearranging furniture and then pulling fabrics for a new quilt. Fun day.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending positive thoughts for your test Debbie.

Glad to hear you are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel Susan.

Barb, what are you working on now?

Deb, please take it easy on your knee.

"M", where are you, are you still sick?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Enjoy your trip LK
Barb - don't overdo moving furniture (who am I to talk lol I love moving furniture!!)

Yes, good neighbours - even the one who chewed me out once (also from Midfield, and he got the wrong end of the stick and never apologized......) is coming around. Just takes time and me not haranguing him about his lack of manners.......
Just got a delivery of a free-to-me futon. I'm going to use it outside, once I've painted it with weatherproof metal paint and made some cushions for it. Also going to spray them with weatherproofing spray. We need some furniture for our yard, and once it's cleared away, it will look great!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Look at this adorable knitted puppy! I'll have to see if I have the right colour & amount of wool, and knit it for the Craft Fair!

Whew I thought a Halloween gremlin got a hold of my computer ! Couldn't think to do anything last night to wrestle control of the computer last night so let the power run down. At first I ran into a wall this morning but I tried another trick or 2 and here I am. Fingers crossed everything stays up and running.

LAST Call for Santa Warren's Gift Exchange. The TH will pick names tomorrow.
Dianne and her TH

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Looking forward to getting our names.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Good morning. I'm sitting here looking at a FULL bowl of candy!!!! When we moved back here to Hillsboro, we moved to a place in the center of town. So we figured we would get lots of trick or treaters. Norm bought four bags of candy. But since our entrance is on the side of the ouse and the the two other tenants here weren't home, none of their lights were on and I didn't get one visit!!!!! My daughter even came down to be with me as Norm is on an overnight. We had a great visit and got to talk about a lot of girly things so the evening was not a waste. But what do I do with all this candy? Can I freeze some? I'd donate it but where.....

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I'm trying to get the puppy pattern posted here, if anyone wants it

Missing Betty and M, hope all is OK.

I am back and sporting a lovely heart monitor for 24 hours.

That dang fitbit was showing me exercising at high rates during the middle of the night (1:00 to 3:00 a.m.) and at odd times when just laying on the sofa. The doc said we needed to get a more accurate reading so 24 hours with this. AND....had the Echo /Ekg all looks well.

Did some window shopping ...as I couldn't find anything I wanted or needed. Then came home.

it is 63 out there and supposed to hit 70!!! So excited to hear that. I hope they are right....wish it would stay.

Worrying about Bessie Lou!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Take care of yourself Debbie. Fast beating heart at rest is not good.

Be back in a tad, Rogers was down all day, lonely without tv so cut wood

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

phew - glad to know you're ok, just your internet was sick!!

Debbie - glad to know they're watching over you - having your FitBit going off like that sounds as if your heart is racing.........

lol I went off to my craft group, and wouldn't you know it - I knew they had, but forgot that they changed the hours for fall, from 1-3, to 2-4pm....... back I go, in a few minutes.........

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Sorry, this is last minute, but if not too late, add me to the Santa Warren exchange, please!

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

My Dad discharged from the hospital yesterday and is doing oK at home. Relief to have him better and not being to hospital before and after work.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thank goodness your Dad is home and doing OK. I hope he's resting easy and taking care of himself. Prayers for him and all concerned.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Happy Dad is home Pat. My prayers continue. How is Ben doing?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is good news Pat.

Verona, ON

Consider yourself added Deb. How are your knees ? Getting better ?

We haven't seen Sharon drop in for quite a long time. Hope things are going well for her and that she has healed completely from her fall.

Debbie was the heart monitor on for 24 hr ? Warren had that 1 once and he even went out and cut some trees down. His logic was that's what he does most days so what is better for the reading. Could you feel it going off?

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Ben had several teeth pulled and still is not eating solids but other than that doing OK.
Kidneyguy, I'm sorry but if you mean Sharon Brown, she passed away a few weeks ago. Maybe that was not said in all threads.

Lyndonville, NY

Dianne, yes it was a 24 hour one. I only had one "break" where I sat down to watch TV and dozed off. The rest I was moving and doing my normal. It was calm until I got into bed last night and my heart started its "flipping". So I logged what I felt and what time.

I have big welts where the gel pads to hold the transistors on....and they were hypoallergenic. Also went and got my flu shot this morning.

-M- I do like the Fit bit and it does encourage me to move. So much you can do with it....and it "Syncs" with the App you add to your phone. You can log in what you eat....drink....calories....the steps per day, flights of stairs, and it shows your sleep....restless during night or awake. You can set the times and what you need...your step size for gait. I did have to buy a new band for mine. The band it came with made my wrist break out...but there are many choice and cheap on Amazon. I got the metal/magnetic one now and love it! Large size and very adjustable.

Looks like it is going to rain for sure....but is still upper 60s.

Saw dentist early this am. Came home with 3 sutures - a piece of bone poked its head out of where it was hiding. Doc was able to get the impression for the lower partial plate. Doc made it loud and clear I was not to do much physical labour. I did some leaf blowing in a T shirt and shorts. Came in when my mouth started to throb.
Just a stellar day ! WLs say rain starting over night.

No it was not that Sharon. This Sharon is from Los Vegas.

Santa Warren's names for the gift exchange will either arrive late tonight or early in the am tomorrow.

Debbie Warren had the same welts after he took the monitor off.

Debbie, I was looking in to getting a Fitbit to track my steps, exercise, sleep, etc. Do you like yours? Which one did you get? Is it difficult to set, read? I don't have a smartphone, but I've heard you can use a dongle on a computer. I'm not real tech savvy, and I'm afraid it might be beyond me!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well here I is, been really busy, that time of year I guess..cool out there but bright, not many leaves left on trees..

Well, once Dianne is feeling a tad better we get out Santa Warren names, exciting for sure..can't wait to fill my box.

Debbie, likely all the stress you are undergoing, rest my friend, hoping on the Sunday of the weekend I'm in Buffalo I can treat you to breakfast at Cracker Barrel and give you your projects..sending prayers for Shane..so difficult for you as a family, have some understanding of what you are going thru..

I'm a tad pi*^d of with our banking/car dealership right now..I know Noah isn't it honking straight, he has decided to live life to the fullest as you don't know how long you will be on earth but tell me truthfully, who gives ap financing to an 18 year old, sat his job for 6 months, living at home a $65,000 approval for a 2017 Cadillac??! Her so darn mad about this situation, didn't even need a co-signer..shaking my head

Debbie, think "M" is on another thread with you now, perhaps you meant to post your comments to her there...

Deb, ouch on your knee..5 hours was a bit much..bet the furries enjoyed it though.

Susan, with the help you are making great strides in the addition

Lindakay, remember our gathering up in frankenmuth big time..great memories, would have been better had Joyce not dropped and broke the wine bottle right..be so nice for you to visit with family..last time Judy was visiting with you as well, Lordy seems like yesterday.

Barb, did you ever finish the mug rugsPat great news on your dad,you sure do need those extra hours for yourself..any news when the new schedule will start?

I've been extra busy, finished aunt Muriel's 2nd rag quilt, Lorraine's quilt top she bought for $10, worked with Julia on a quilt, worked with joanne this morning doing her stained glass snowflake, her first stained glass project, she did wonders and went home so excited.

Means when picking up their treasures they stay for a visit..puts me a tad behind but fun to chat and catch up

Just had Kentucky fried chicken for lunch/early supper and now spending rest of day cutting workshop project for the gals who registered, finishing my 2nd snowflake and I between working on my 2nd knitted poncho for Suzanne's grandchildren, they always appreciate homemade gifts..ok ohhh best I add buttons to pick up while in Buffalo

Clock is a ticking so best i
