Afternoon everyone, good to see you posting Betty. Looks like you are super busy.

I just got back from my follow up about my allergies. They are still pretty bad, so no I wait to get an appointment for an ear nose and throat specialist. No more allergy shots.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hope it's not too long of a wait Lindakay, watch them send you a date when you are away

Yes, overly busy but love the house a hopping with people in and out.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Not liking what I am reading about wearing a heart monitor. I saw my heart doctor this morning and I am scheduled to get one Nov 23 for 48 hours. That is the only way she is going to be able to see what is going on with my heart racing all the time. Any kind of exertion sets it going....
Love the glass stars!!! So pretty.
Hope you get that appointment real quickly LK.

Victoria Harbour, ON

The good news re wearing one Barb is they will see exactly what is happening internally and find a fix. Taking a break, might be a long one, tired myself out.

Too funny, got a call from Rogers telling me my service is back and running, don't you think I'd know that seeing it went back on yesterday

Lyndonville, NY

Barb, it was not bad at all until I took the stickers off. And my skins reacts to everything. I was very comfortable with it and they are MUCH smaller than they used to be.

I have the Fit Bit Blaze. The face of it is large...I am legally blind and can see it fine even without my contacts. It is easy to set up and yes, an App to help you with all that. The new one they just came out with...is very small and I can't see that version at all. It is more feminine looking where this one Blaze is for men or women. As I said I changed my band and is more suitable for me.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Tempted to get one for Christmas after seeing all yours does but don't have a cel as you know Debbie so would it still work..they have rebuts he'd ones at Factory Direct, not sure same, have to go look at their ad..be back in a sec..so comfy, I hate to move, look like a lobster bath water so hot

Victoria Harbour, ON

Drats, this was a 48 hr special
That being said they often have similar on sale
Your thoughts?

I start the new schedule next week.

Barb, the car dealership is NUTS and in my opinion not too reputable if they would do such a silly thing! Some salesperson just saw dollar signs for commission and lost all good sense and ethics.

Verona, ON

Santa Warren, Gift list is done. You won't get an email until later today. The TH has picked them. And that was not free of calamity. Chaos decided he would chew his - he loves paper.
Spent the night in the ER with an elderly friend who had a bad fall.

Hope she wasn't too badly injured Dianne, is she the neighbor who recently lost her hubby?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers for your neighbor Dianne.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sending my prayers for your neighbor also Diane. Hope he/she recovers quickly.
Leave it to Chaos to chew!!!!

Betty, that is the "newer" model to mine. Is more feminine.....HOWEVER it is also half the size in width. I could not see the screen! There might be an APP that can connect it to your laptop not having a mobile phone. They have to "sync" together to log the information and give you the chart.

HOWEVER, (evil smile) you can't yell at it like you did mine and said "That da&N thing is lying to us...we walked miles!!!" hahahaha

Victoria Harbour, ON

That's my fear Debbie, I'd spend more time yelling and in a drawer it would go. Not computer savvy so likely More stress than I need.

Did the proto type of this year's "10th Annual Christmas craft workshop" imagine some will have done all 10..just need to buy roll of wire At Canadian tire when I'm in town to do the handle. Think Lindakay, Judy, Liz and Debbie have participated...hmmm have to see who else

Anyway, it's time to clean the craft room again and get back to cutting wood..every time I go from room to room pick up Halloween items to go into totes, looks so dull in here now without all the fall colors that I look outside and think snow will soon be here..big sigh, don't you think it's time to bring in those 20 totes or so of Christmas pretties inside..excited to break open the box in which the new Christmas tree I bought Boxing Day is open and I can see what I bought

What to do, what to do??

Good Morning!!
CUB WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!
OMG what a game too...

Still jumping up and down, omg-just Fabulous!

Yeah

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, I started "winter decorating" for the season. Not going to add the Santa/Christmas stuff til a few weeks before. This way, I get to enjoy the snowmen all winter.....and can pick and choose the actual Christmas stuff I put out. AND with winter theme....it can stay out longer. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

Technically we have Thanksgiving still end of November....but I hate pulling it all out for just a few weeks as it takes so darn long. Might as well enjoy it more.

And this week is to set the clocks back an hour....dark at 4:30!

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

I'll put up the Christmas tree and decorate the weekend before Thanksgiving. I want time to enjoy everything, and the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas just seems to fly by. I'm starting to look at decorations, but just not in the mood, yet. Besides, our baseball season just ended last night! Seems odd going from baseball to Christmas decorations!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Judy, what a win..

Already find Debbie that I am sleeping in longer because it's soooo dark outside.
Great idea about decorating for the season..must be difficult for you all having thanksgiving so close to Christmas ..at least here we have a few months between.

My problem Debbie is all the totes say Christmas, by the time I bring them in I don't know what is in which tote.

Ohhhh Santa Warren exchange, all excited about putting your boxes together? So love this exchange.

Got to run, Kyle is here for lunch, pizza time lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Debbie, Kyle dropped in for the afternoon, we were talking about his and Brianna's move into their new place, as he watched me put away Halloween he told me about the furniture shopping they had done and how they bought a Christmas tree at Michael's last week, don't know how it came about 😝 But I mentioned it was in back shed and quite heavy to bring to the house, well he said he'd bring it in which he did...tree looked pretty on the box picture, hmm I forgot to what I bought, hmm why not open the box and see...looks nice, hmmm heavy for me to lift the pieces one on top of each other, if I was taller, oh yes Kyke is over 6', when all was said and done he made me set the tree out lol now I'm fluffing branches, promise, won't decorate it for a bit..

Grandsons are awesome enablers.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I won't be putting up Christmas decorations until after Remembrance Day (Nov 11th). I like seeing all the notices saying to remember our Veterans first.

Well, looks like we'll only be able to have Ken help until end of day Friday - running low on "extra" funds. We'll need to pay utilities first, before we get more help. Now that Bob's had this help though, it's made great headway on our home and that's a good thing. It's also helped get him "in the mood" to do more and that's a good thing, too!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Took advantage of Kyle being here, he had been dropping in to his grandparents so that he could get them winterized..his grandfather having the stroke cannot do a lot of things so I would wait. And put more of a burden on him to help me in a few weeks..totes I can manage.

Don't think it's slight on Veterans, am sure many had mothers they would have appreciated having someone carry heavy boxes / totes vs seeing moms struggling in 4' of snow..I've seen heavy snowfall first week in November and it stay till April..with frozen fingers and tears in my eyes, I've lugged these totes and did learn the hard way, now I plan to say 'ha ha Mother Nature'. So glad that Jeff winterized the back shed..

see many neighbors out putting their Christmas light up, doesn't mean they will go on but set up..I put hooks a few years ago so mine could be easily hung

I emailed Greg and Jeff and asked them how they felt if I went to Florida for Christmas, makes life easier on them for sure with all they have to do Christmas Day, told them we could have our Christmas a few weekend before..got a response that said 'book your flight today's!' I've some cleaning before the gals come tonight so I'll do it tomorrow morning.

Too bad Susan those funds hadn't lasted a tad longer but as you say, gave bob help with the heaviest parts..still no snow?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Nope, no snow - glad of the Chinook winds which bring warm weather! By Tues, it's supposed to be 65F

We just got told some AWESOME news.....
Our helper, Ken, said he would continue working for us, for gas $$ only! We'll pay him for today, of course, but this is AWESOME news!! I told him "Bless You" and he said "you, too". I told him we had been blessed, with him - wanna know if I cried? Wonder no more - I did........! And it brought Bob close to tears too. crying happy tears

Wonderful Susan.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Isn't it, Barb? Some people just renew your faith in human nature.
He's a blessing to us, indeed.
Even though we'd gotten "paid off" by the City for us having to move, the funds don't last forever, and having to do the rebuild wasn't cheap, so we are running low on funds.

I'm still finding it hard to catch my breath, concerning the help that Ken's giving us.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Certainly renews your faith in humanity Susan, being disappointed in people as you so often were nits nice to renew your faith..

Girls just left, table runner and Christmas stockings were finished..next week we are starting tree skirts..I'm anxious to try this new pattern I bought, the one Greg did templates for..

Tired so it's off to bed, found a bag of red licorice so am sure I'll eat some, read some, watch Christmas movie and hopefully 4-5 hrs sleep

These kids and their teacher are pretty darned good. Melanie does her best to teach values to her pre-school students.

All the names are sent via Dmail. I've asked that you reply with your snail mail day.

Duke ran around with a sticky on his nose. I use sticky notes to do the SW Exchange. The other 2 were chasing him around trying to get it. Duke runs like greased lightning.

Never did get to bed yesterday. Forgotten I had made a promise with a couple of friends.

Wonderful video and really enjoyed the next one about the little boy collecting Halloween costumes to donate. I know it does my heart good when I hear of the generous kindness of others. Bless Ken for his good heart!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I loved that video too!

Thanks for the name Dianne.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Susan, loved the link..

Pat how is your dad?

Lindakay, allergies still giving you problems?

Have my name, thanks Dianne..now to find something special for her, that is the fun part, although can be stressful as we so want to please

Didn't sleep a good part of the night again, knees and hip aching..took meds twice, finally got up and did a few things.

It's in mid 50's today to taking advantage bringing in totes..goal is of the 26 totes down to 20...some I've been filling a tote for Kyle and Brianna what else isn't my favorite garbage it will go

Barb, last night the girls were talking placemats, well one of the totes I opened were the placemats you sent me, perfect for them to do so have yours as a pattern that I will trace, do a set to make sure they turn out before showing the gals so thank you..

Time to go get a few more totes, have lunch then I think to Barrie for Molson's craft show

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Allergies are tolerable for a few days then they flare up again. I have an appt. with the EN&T specialist on the 17th.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hope while you are away they aren't as bad

Wow, just took out the space bag from under the spare room bedroom, don't trust them in a tote outside because of mice, with everything I'm unpacking I'm thinking, do I really need to go to Barrie craft show this afternoon, could have one in I'm my house

These throws, blankets and placemats are for my own use, in the dryer they will go to fluff them up a bit..think a few should go into Kyle/Brianna's tote

Just booked Florida..spend Christmas Day on the beach..leave dec 16th so weekend before I will plan for family gathering..will invite more relatives as likely having it before they can make it.

Pacifica, CA

Got my name!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I did too. So looking Forward to this year's swap.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Dad did not have a good day today. LOTS of coughing. The home nurse was to stop by today and also coordinate the physical therapy. I feel bad for my sister, MORE timetables and obligations to keep her house bound.

I have not done any doll sewing this week. I'm tired, did a little altering and hemming etc, that's about it. My knee is killing me today and getting in and out of the car is terrible. I won't be going to the craft fair tomorrow. Too painful.

On the plus side, I only work 3 days next week! Monday is my new day off, and Friday is the holiday. I am looking forward to more down time.

I will look forward to watching your Christmas exchange. I did not see the enrollment for the Christmas craft this year.
