He owns and runs the business .. guess his only 'boss' , and I'm not sure of this, would be the 'College of Prosthetists' .. I belong to the College of Nurses .. they are our governing body .. you make a boo boo and you are judged by them ..
This whole thing is nothing but a fiasco .. Lorna mentioned being referred to Toronto .. Kerry said she was like family (At $4000.00/visit) a 'cash cow family member !!

Hi all just trying to catch up, darned internet went out in a storm on Thurs. morning and we just got it back. Isn't it silly that we are so dependant on it?
I was so hoping Lorna's new leg would be perfect. How disappointing for her. So not fair.
Beautiful work on the gardens, Judy. Awfully hot to be outside working.
Betty, I love your Canada quilt. So much work but you pulled it off.
Amelia's 4th birthday party today. So far she's in brat mode. Always happens when mom is around.

A quick stop in as I am supposed to be on the couch elevated. Heat is getting to me!!! AC is on too.

Betty, take Missy to the vet Could be an injury you can't see....inside. OR a problem with her teeth/mouth. Might be something simple needed like an antibiotic. Reminds me when Marla was out and got the a scrap....had an abcess in her neck we didn't see until it broke open and we had a mess.

Judy, you did so much work...it looks beautiful. Like the rabbit hole. lol

M...prayers for all and Lorna with the leg, that is just a mess!! Some people, I don't know how they sleep at night with conscious.....or lack of...for helping people.

Our Torrington trip - well, Bob & I both got sunburned lol
Jackie & Doug came out and Doug helped Bob put up the shed sides. We'll still need to put up the roof, but all he has is the bars for it. Assembled them, and put them inside the shed. When he has use of a ladder and 2 other people, he can put it up, then has to "skin" it with either wood or metal sheets. Here's what it looks like so far - 13ft x 10ft - door has to be put on too.

Here's my Bohemian Rose sweater - too hot to wear it, but it's about time I took the picture lol

Afternoon, it is a hot one for sure..how,we will pray for such days come winter,so not complaining.

Susan,you are making headway, soon you will be able to fill that shed,mon the countdown now..love the sweater, it sure will keep you warm in a few weeks

Did you fall Debbie? What was the last diagnosis..you sure are having a time of it..hope we can do your birthday lunch when next in Buffalo..think if all goes well it might be August 13/14..Missy is back to herself, eating/drinking..think she was locked up somewhere and dehydrated..

Karen isn't that always the way,mist their special day and they act up..hopefully she will settle down..went through that, kids perfect with me, parents come and what Devils. That was a long time no hydro..kids must have been antsy

Wakened to a rain shower .. good because DH spent a few hours in the veg garden yesterday weeding and fertilizing, as did Lorna with her gardens on Friday ..

Hoping the week goes quickly for you Betty, safe travels ..

So far as I know, nothing earth shattering happening here ... BBQ later today ..

Not raining yet, calling for it this afternoon, sure would be a treat for the grass that is turning yellow.

Nothing earth shattering here either, was thinking of taking a quick run into town, do the bank thing, pick up a few things at Walmart, clean my car (a must) then guess just play in the craft room.

Jeff had 15 or so co-workers on a kayak trip yesterday, few stayed over night at area lock grounds, if all goes ok he will drop in so if I do go to town should be now

Morning everyone. Another scorcher today and then it looks like maybe a few days of 70's and 80's the rest of the week. Just in time to warm up again.

Went yesterday to a friend's here on the lake to listen to the concert in the village.It is a new build and is gorgeous. They had to keep 1 corner of the old cottage and use the footprint of the old cottage or they couldn't build. Concert wasn't that good and the sound was terrible. Next time here on our dock.. we are right across from the park where the concert happens ..... they have BBq hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, plus a ride on a miniature train for the kids..

We are waiting for your rain here Karen.Makes the grands much more appreciative of those electronics I bet.

Thundering Herd wants to go out so maybe it is cool enough for us to go for a walk.

I try to limit usage, If weather is good I send them out. I also make them all leave the electronics downstairs when they go to bed or they will play most of the night.

Good for you Karen. Anyone who comes for dinner here must put their cell in a bowl while we have dinner. I can't think of too many things that are ruder then a dinner guest taking a call while at your dinner table.

When I first put the TH out this morning it seemed like it was cooler than yesterday. I decided the boys and I would walk a 1/2 mile up the lane then back. We came home drenched in sweat and very weary. Felt like we walked 5 miles. Now we are all inside and will not be going out unless duty calls.

Still no rain and the overcast skies are moving east at quite a clip.

Guess I should go see what there is for breakfast/lunch.

Tiis deceiving Dianne, hotter than it looks, guess because it's overcast, wind just came up so rain will either pass us by or we will get it..decided just incase I would go cover the patio set.

Went into midland this morning, hope I got all I need..just packed my clothes and travelling toiletries, got home and cleaned out the car, thought I'd wait till Thursday morning before going to wash and vacuum it.

Always so many little things to do when you go away, either for a weekend,week or month..

I took out a container of spaghetti sauce so I'm ok for supper, cucumber sandwhich will do lunch

had a dinner party with young people yesterday, and if I could have reached, I would have smacked the wrist of one who was on his phone.... shared pics from a b-day party where he was Spiderman that day, but still.........
It was our elderly friend Doug, and 4 young people - some of which will be helping Doug move. He was happy to meet them, and they will do a good job for him next Saturday the 30th.

btw - have to say "elderly friend, Doug" versus our friends Jackie & Doug (who I will be mentioning more & more) because they live the other side of Olds and we'll be half hour away neighbours, seeing them more often.

Slogging it out in the heat .. still .. had thought it was going to break, but, no such luck ..

On the hunt for another Keurig coffee maker today .. #2 just bit the dust .. AND, DH is the only one who uses the darned thing .. I gave up coffee about 6 weeks ago, and, Lorna drinks instant ..
As well, we only ever used distilled water to fill it ..

Sorry about your Keurig "M". We have one too but use spring water for it. No problems so far. Our last one lasted about six years and I figure that is not bad. Not like the old percolators that lasted forever!!!!!

Hardly use mine 'M" but think if I bought another it would be the combo tea and coffee unit.

Barb, how have you been doing in this heat? And Norm, is he working regular hours, must be exhausting for him.

76 with a feels like 91 and 78 humidity..
We had rain last night, grass/gardens are appreciative I'm sure.
Next 3 days will be long ones, don't you hate the countdown before a trip then all too soon you've been and back and looking forward to next trip.

An inside day for sure..every bone in my body is aching..humidity does it,mnot even Tylenol 3 is helping..maybe some Newfoundland screech will do the trick. Lol

Finishing my coffee then downstairs I go..goal is to take the wedding quilt off the frame..still have to appliqué the maple leaves, salmon and lobster on my Canada quilt then it's ready for the frame..not too interesting of a day but a relaxing day if nothing else.

Still a scorcher here too. Overcast too. No sign of rain either yesterday or this morning.

Gearing up to take Diesel and Duke for their Lyme blood test. My stomach is in knots. Will start early so I have them inside the Escape with no attempts at escape.

Betty my body is doing the same thing - even my finger joints ache.

M I got a single cup Keurig at WM for a very reasonable price. I mainly use my for hot chocolate. I very rarely have a coffee now except right at a Timmy's.

Too humid for us Dianne..yep even fingers feels tricks when moving them..what rain we had last night is the only rain we will get for a bit..sun is out again.

Bad thing a happening in my house..I found the couch again

Keep saying a little nap would be ok all the while knowing that will be the end of my productivity.

Thought I might run into midland but decided tomorrow would be better, Toonie Tuesday at Kentucky fried chicken..missy loves her Tuesday treats 😜
