Thank you, Betty :-)
"m" condolences re the passing of your client...I as well want no fuss..I pass on, cream aged and that is that!
Happy 44th wedding anniversary, you should do something special tomorrow..movie and dinner?
I'm with the girls, hospice nurses are earthly Angela's
Susan, kudos to you re keeping up with the swap, after the problems of the other you sure don't want to get caught up in any delays right...ohh by weekends end you'll only have weeks before you move.
Andrew has been here with 1 load. Of fill, likely need 2 more
Hoping once he fills it and tampers it he will have time to take shrubs/plants from front. left of big pond so the boys can lay slate down and create little area to see the big pond
Big sigh, so much work to make it less than it was before we started.
only 3 more weeks to go until move.
Thank you, Betty - looking for some fabric that will go with the lilac colour in the center I got today, and the 1st border put on........ looking for my thinking cap lol
DG having problems? I was getting "database error" when trying to get here to this thread. Took 3 tries
Betty - I didn't see anything about it, but have your neighbours cleared their front & back yards yet?
Nope, not a think cleaned..will wait till Friday and call township again.
Betty is there a brand name of the finish you use with the diamond finish? Norm will be going to get what we need tomorrow.
Sorry to hear your client passed "M".
Happy anniversary to you both. Make sure you do something special.
Betty, did you move all those rocks yourself?
aw Betty - thought sure he was making some progress and clearing that ugly yard.......
Making some PB&J bread in the breadmaker. Tried last week, but I think the yeast was old. I tested this jar of yeast and it's certainly good!
Only thing is, each breadmaker wants you to add your ingredients differently. Some say liquids first, then dry, others say dry then liquids. I'm pretty sure mine is the liquids first. It's been awhile since I used it. The PB&J bread is a really great bread!
Just lost a long post. Grrr - my fault.
M gave me her cold and it was a doozy.
Just home from the vet's and am very upset. Both Diesel and Duke tested positive for Lyme disease. Chaos didn't join us as he was being a little snot so I take him in next week. Wonder if he will test positive too.
Haven't eaten all day so I need to get something to eat.
Dianne
OMG Dianne!! Can you get it from them or do you need to be bitten by the tick?
What can they do for them?
Susan .. please share the PB&J recipe .. haven't used my bread maker for so long .
OMG Dianne .. will the dogs need antibiotic treatment ?
Sorry re the cold .. can honestly say mine has gone, although, after I get up in the morning I blow my nose for a good half hour .. then, nothing ..
Barb .. I was singing your praises today .. After making the dog treats my counter top was quite a floury mess LoL .. that pastry cleaner gizmo is just to nifty :-)
As well, I looked up many times while cutting out the dough at the candles I got from Dianne, especially the one that says RELAX :-)
AND, I took Betty's bag that she made me out shopping yesterday and had the cashier commented on it :-)
See that .. you guys (gals) are always revolving around in my life, and, I LOVE it ..
DH and I are going to a nice restaurant for lunch tomorrow .. I just can't do supper out as I am not someone who stays up late ..
Time to go to bed
~M~
Barb all research says no a human can't get it from their dog.
They are on antibiotic as of tonight. I am sure even before the $42.00 test that Chaos will test positive too. Where 1 goes they all go.Due to this positive result they cannot start their heart worm meds until end of June.
I love that we all got to join you today M. I do the same thing . It feels like we are all having tea.
Dianne and her TH
Sorry to hear about the thundering heard.
Oh No! Sure hope the TH all get better. I've heard repeatedly that ticks are awful this year. Invite possums or guinea hens into your yard. Word is both feast on ticks.
I put garlic in the dogs treats yesterday, not lots, but, apparently garlic helps re ticks ..
Must get the medicine on them as the grass if high and, they run through it ..
Guinea hens are noisy ? Like 'screechy'?
Best of luck Dianne ..
We have RAIN .. heavy rain, bring it on !! :-)
Lorna goes for her leg today .. hopefully they have it DONE, and done properly ..
She is fed up with the disappointment .. nothing she can do ..
Hope y'all have a great day ..
~M~
Morning all,
Happy 44th Wedding Anniversary "M" to you and Gord..may your day be special in every way!! Here is hoping Lorna is pleased with adjustments to her leg, Lordy, wouldn't want her to have to wait half the summer to get it back.
I too often think of you all, especially when I walk the gardens, lots of smiles when I come across do friends treasures that was sent were sent to me..funny "M"'you mention the bag, got an email from my cousin doug's wife telling me her sister just loved the bag that Kathy gave her for her birthday..I had 4 made so Kathy came last week and mom went through my made totes and let her choose one...they do come in handy!
Karen, no possums here but I think I'd try the garlic..you have furries right? Orange who went to Florida with me just got 3 kitties (she lives on a farm) well she called me to say the lady had a few more and thought Missy needed a friend, I called yesterday and the lady is to return my call.
Well, much to do today so best I get a move on, lots of plants to dig up before backhoe does them in
How terrible Dianne for the TH, were they showing signs of being ill or did you bring them in for regular check up and for heart warm meds? I remember telling you Greg had been bitten and was quite ill, when biopsy done they took a portion of the bug out..he was lucky, only went after much nagging by Mel. Hooe your cold eases..
Hoping to hear all is well with the TH Dianne. Hope it can be taken care of with meds.
Gave Norm the picture of the finish Betty. Hope he can pick it up today. I need to get that sign up asap. And he needs to put that coats on as the fumes would do me in for sure.
Hope to get to valances for living room today. My cutting table has become a painting station these last few days. Need to see if I need to line them as they get sun most of the day. Sure wouldn't hurt I'm thinking.
Hoping this finds all of you well, healing and happy. WAving hello~~~~~~~
We go to the vet and get a pill for the dogs, for fleas and ticks, it works for 3 months. Kind of pricey at $50.00 but they work.
I got Seresto Collars for mine. Made by Bayer, just under $50. each but claim is they work for 8 months. Something new so we will see how they do this year.
Sure hoping Lorna's leg is right this time. My friend who lived with with me until just before her death, never had a leg that fit properly or that she could trust to not fall off.
Drats, wrote a novel, guess it's in cyber soace
SIGH!!!!!!!!!!! Next appointment for Lorna is .. are you sitting down .. AUGUST !!!!
Til then she'll have to put up with her old leg .... she says she is OK with this, but, deep down I KNOW she is disappointed .. and, there is NOWHERE else to go that is within a goodly distance .. either Toronto(1600 miles east) or, Winnipeg (500 miles W)
PLUS.. Kerry (the prosthetist) gets very MIFFED if someone heads out somewhere else, and, he refuses to work with them once they come back .. terrible situation ..
Had a great lunch .. found it so neat as the weather today is exactly the same as the Saturday we were married :-) On again, off again rain/sun .. we even went by the church we were married in .. ahhh .. nostalgia ...
Cut the back lawn for the first time (dogs enclosure),looks wonderful ..
The tick thing is a real conundrum ,, we are using Advantix (3 drops down their backs) plus the garlic in the cookies ..
OOOooooooooo Betty .. another kitter puss would be so super !!! I think Missy would enjoy the company too ..
BBL
~M~
Sorry to hear Lorna still has to wait.
Glad you got to see your old church, and went down memory lane.
What a shame regarding Lorna's leg! August???? And what a horrible attitude of the prosthetist!!! I really get miffed with those who play God...... I can't help but think he wants her to go somewhere else anyway.....but 500 miles is quite a stretch.
Norm and I took that nostalgia trip last year too - back to the castle where we were married. Lots of happy memories.
Marilynne - recipe for PB&J bread, coming up! Your request is my command :-)
Just bear in mind - different makes of breadmakers request you put ingredients in a specific order. Mine is from the bottom up, (putting in the last to first of wet to dry) and others want from the top of list down (put in dry down to wet) but always in the exact order.
Peanut-Butter and Jelly Bread
1 1/2 lb
2 tsp active dry yeast
3 1/2 TBSP peanut butter
3 TBSP jelly or jam
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 TBSP sugar
1/2 cup warm milk
1/2 cup warm water
1 pound
1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
2 1/2 TBSP peanut butter
2 TBSP jelly or jam
1 1/2 c bread flour
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 c warm milk
2 1.2 ounces warm water
This is a sweet bread, so use that setting.
It's also a fun bread, so you can vary it by adding different types of jam or jelly each time you make it.
Note: For Panasonic-National machines, use 3 1/2 tsp of yeast for the 1 1/2 pound loaf

Going to try this again grrrr
No kitty, lady only has 2 and doesn't want to separate them, nope, not ready for 2 kitties.
Got boat tarps done, took thrice as long, guess I wasn't up to it..job done though
They say car problems is due to battery, Lordy only 9 months old..they will check vehicle once again, if nothing then new battery it is..likely I will pick it up in the a.m.
Imagine, rain tonight, tomorrow and Saturday the Sunday mix of rain & snow, imagine
Need a nap, girls come tonight
Ohh sure hope weather is nice in Glenview this weekend for the wedding..Judy will be fretting i
I'm sure...bet she is so wound up
"m" such bad news for Lorna, maybe Toronto for a week for upgrades is what is needed
Sorry to hear you are having car problems Betty. I did not know you got a new car. What kind?
Big change Susan
No Lindakay, should have added 'new battery less than 9 months old'
Awwww "M" sounds like a very nice Anniversary day. We can go back to our church, except first they made it into a museum. Then restored it back to a church and moved it to the historical village. Now see how old we are?
So disappointing about Lorna's leg. Just hate it when someone is treated so unfairly.
Hi everyone!!
Just a note to let you know...I am doing alright. Right now I am in Two Rivers Wi. 3hour ride. I did the drive. My beautiful friends Service was wonderful. The recession song.. was Amazing Grace and I totally lost it. A man behind me gave me the biggest Armwrap, which made me cry all the more. I stood in line to offer condolences and the one friend/sister remembered me!! I kinda was shocked because well I still have no recollection. But then way back then, I was lucky to remember myself. Anyway They all did and We Armlocked and just cried. I am at the hotel, my view is Lake Michigan. I'm going to stop for dinner and then go to Toni's house for a little bit. Head home first thing in the morning...Need to be back for the rehearsal dinner at 3 tomorrow.
lol, talk about everything happening at one time, tomorrow is also Steve's Birthday!
Anyway, wishing you all a great weekend, Monday I can breathe and play again, woohoooo!
Love and Armwraps.
All the best for the weekend Judy, and, HAPPY BDay to Steve ..
Nice morning here (so far) 44F, but, we are headed for a bit of a slip slide down temperature wise ..
Seems I have a day off today(sure) .. am NOT going to town that's for sure .. lots of yard work to attempt to do ..
As for Lorna's situation .. deplorable .. makes my BP go up !!
BBL
~M~
Morning all,
Happy Birthday Steve..lots going on in your world for sure Judy..may sunshine be with you all weekend long..
Rained all night, I know because I couldn't sleep and counted rain drops 😪
Weather much the same here "M", imagine, snow Sunday..with rain today, tomorrow here is not much the boys can do.
Home Depot has a store-it-out shed on for $259, will take a run in and get it, likely have to out it together, made of durable heavy duty plastic if when I take measurements of the generator and it would fit inside, boys could get that project done, put together container, put together generator and set on side of house...
Doubtful in this weather that Andrew will finish the pond....saying, be patient Betty..
Sending special prayers and good wishes for Judy and her bride this weekend. I so hope all goes well....No matter what, Julia will be a beautiful bride and her day will be wonderful.....
Judy, you and yours are in our thoughts for a wonderful wedding this weekend.
Judy - Things are really busy in your household, for sure! Glad you met up with people and had your good cries and armwraps - very comforting, f'sure
A wedding with a beautiful bride, and a Happy Birthday Steve!
Marilynne - I think I would "lose it" over Lorna's leg, if I were there - you & she seem to be handling it better than I would, but oh, how VERY frustrating to not be cared for as she should be.......
Betty - you're still doing well at home (no more need to go to the hospital, yaaaaay!!) but please take it easy......
Karen - please take it easy too!! Glad to hear you're relaxing :-)
The closer my move comes, the more stressed I am - they STILL haven't paid May rent..... I need to call our lawyer today and see what we can do
Betty, can I join Missy?
Susan, how much was their deposit, will it cover the rent they have not paid?
