well, my case was postponed until march.
Best worse, what did I learn today, winter chat continues.
Oh those darn courts! Don't they know you want this mess settled with your neighbors?
Dianne, so glad to hear you got the spirits settled down. That must have been some experience.
Debbie, I hope your meds work for you quickly. Having a spinning head is not fun!
Debbie inner ear problems are also involved with vertigo.

Hi - just popping in to say hi
Hi Susan
Hoping things will be settled soon for you and Bob. Keeping you both in my prayers.
We're counting down to Jan 28th 1:30.
Trying to get a transcript of when the police came here because our tenants were hammering on our windows and door, and trying to get in (they turned the doorknob TWICE, but the deadbolt was on). This happened Dec 12th, and I called the constable who was in attendance, but he's not returned our calls. I called the police main line, and they gave me the Correspondence Unit ph#. I called them yesterday, and finally emailed. Apparently it can take up to 30 DAYS to get the file. I've emailed and have had a bit of response - she'll be back in the office tomorrow and will respond more fully then. I'm hoping that the immediacy of the court date will push the receipt of the document to us. It will show that our tenants harass us and delivering documents is not to be done by hammering on doors and windows. The constable told him this. One should not be frightening the landlord (it was dark and we don't open the door to people when we can't see who it is).
Did I say that I got a letter from the surgeon, saying that in 5 to 6 months I will have an app't for my knees? Then the surgeon will decide what to do. My GP said that they'll likely smooth out the jagged edges (the arthritis) and make me more comfortable. They don't like to do knee replacements until you're 70, and I'll "only" be 62 this March.
I have fluid, torn meniscus, and Osteoarthritis in both knees and a sprain in my left knee. It started when I first fell April 2nd, 2011, so almost 5 years...
5 to 6 months isn't so much to wait for, considering it's been almost 5 years, right? :-)
Morning ..
Dianne .. don't quite know what I would have done had that weird stuff started happening !
I take it it has stopped now ?
Judy and Debbie, hope you both feel better soon ..
Off to the groomers with Zoey this morning .. BUT .. even though we have NOT spoken of it, she KNOWS .. already acting strange this morning .. am thinking she's going to hide on us .......
Susan and Kathy .. what can I say ? Best of luck ..
Hope you all have a great day
~M~
Morning everyone.
A beautiful 50 degrees right now, supposed to be 65 this afternoon.
Susan, I sure hope you get an appointment sooner. I know you are hurting when you walk.
Good luck getting the fur babies to the car.
Light snow overnight, roads were really icy this morning. I guess the city is saving money by not sending out crews to salt them.
A little stiff and sore from training classes yesterday (one for me, one for the dogs). Hoping I can move a little easier by tomorrow. My trainer is supposed to set up a routine for me on elliptical and treadmill, so I can know I'm getting a decent workout. So he's doing baseline heart rate, bp, all that. It's something I know I need to do, because I'm sitting at a desk all day, and I want to be able to still get out and show the dogs for many years to come. So that means, I need to be able to run around a showring. Right now, I'm huffing and puffing by the end of the first go a round.
Hope you got Zoey scooped up and in the car for her trip to the groomers! Vet trips, groomer trips, they just know something's up.
Have a good day, everyone!!
We were lucky to hit 25* here today Linda. It's a tad chilly!!!! Working on Karen's QoV blocks. It has been a while since I did paper-piecing.
Hope you made out okay at the groomers "M". Always a fun time right?
Deb those workouts will stand you in good stead. Increasing your stamina is a good thing.
Sending prayers to all in need today. And waving to all~~~~~
Made it to the groomer, but, always feel SO BAD when Zoey shakes ..
Our groomer is really a nice young lady .. have been with her for 9 years .. I don't know much about 'dog psychology' but, Becky has 'papers' in it .. went to school to learn how to ?analyze? a dog .. all I know is our dogs behave around her ..
GORGEOUS day .. + 8F .. have been out playing with the dogs in the snow .. Piper and Zoey found a 'mouse hole' and, the DIG was on .. snow flying over their heads .. they weren't paying attention, the mouse ran out from behind him ad ran like heck across the driveway into an escape hole LOL
Deb .. my cousin shows Shelties, and she says it is TOUGH, specially with the heat and humidity is some of the venues .. she has people doing it now as she is more focused on breeding, her last litter is just beautiful .. born around Christmas ..
Barb/Debbie .. am earing news stories re a HUGE snowstorm coming your way on the weekend? Hope the Weather Liars are wrong ..
May BBL
~M~
I just saw that report too "M". I hope they are wrong.
Our dogs chase lizards all the time, and it is funny to watch them so focused on the area the lizard ran to, to hide, they don't see it come out of the woodwork on the other side!
latest weather thinks it may go just south of us. Keeping my fingers crossed. I feel bad for Nichole, Laurel and others in the Tenn, NC, SC,and GA as well as MD and DC. They are getting the brunt of it this time around.
Wonder if Karen's family is near it ..
One more out for the pack, then, I'm hittin the rack !
Gord and I are off to the eye doc in the morning .. gotta tell ya, getting kinda tired having to go out everyday .. ..
Night :-)
~M~
Kathy - March? ouch....... I still say, if a judge is sick, they should get someone else to hear it Right Away, and not make you wait....... that's just WRONG!!
Hugs and blessings to all
I have a cousin that grew up in northern Florida. They always came to visit in the summers about every 5 yrs or so, as my Aunt was from FL and didn't like the Indiana weather at all. When cousin Charles was a teenager, my Uncle made the decision to come for Thanksgiving at the family farm. They were to stay for a week, and 2 days before they left, it snowed. Cousin acted like a 5 yr old, was the 1st time he'd experienced snow, so we built him a fort, had a snowball fight and Gma mixed up a huge tub of snow ice cream. He did not want to go home at all, which made quite a ruckus between him and Auntie... Every Thanksgiving after that, he would always call Gma and ask if it was snowing.. lol
The last time I was IN, it was bitter cold and the wind had blown drifts up against the backdoor. Too cold to take Bella outside, so I scooped up some snow and showed her how to make a snowball. Of course she had to run through the house with it, showing Mommy what she had.. drip, drip ,drip.. all over the floors before she shooed her back into the kitchen. Then she had to make one for Daddy when he got home. The weather warmed up some after I left, so the next afternoon she and Daddy got to make a snowman. Mommy was napping on the couch and Bella scooted up beside her, and whispered into her ear "do you want to build a snowman?".. lol
We are good here but family and friends in D.C, are in for it. I am a native south Floridian and saw snow for the first time when I was fifteen. We have teen weather here in Atlanta and issues with icing but sometimes years between snows of 1"-2". DD went to college at Smith, in western MA, and that was my first experience with driving in snow. So lame, but I couldn't figure out how to get out of the car when parked next to a snow bank so I crawled out the passenger side. Ruined all my shoes and couldn't feel my toes for a good long while.
*drip, drip, drip* lol I can just picture it!!! Were some "gentle" words said to Bella? lol I can just bet there were.......
Off n running, well, in an hour ..
Beautiful weather here .. +18F .. doubtless there will be folks wearing shorts .. seriously :-)
Kathy, I can imagine how excited Charles must have been to see snow .. my paternal Auntie, lived in Boca Raton Florida .. she nursed there well into her 70s ..
She came home for a funeral in December of 1974 and stayed for Christmas .. and, of course, it snowed .. she was SO HAPPY .. I was just a teen, but, I remember her running around outside catching flakes on her tongue :-)
Maypop.. driving in snow is an ART !!!
Wishing you all FAIR weather and blue skies ..
Off to the eye doc .. fingers crossed !!!
~M~
In my prayers "M"....
Praying you get a good report from the eye Dr.
wishing a good report at the docs, Marilynne, and to anyone else here that has appts. We try not to schedule appts during the first 3 months, since I transplanted here, I just prefer not to drive in the snow and ice if I don't have to. The clinics and hospitals are only blocks from here, so we don't have far to go, guess I'm just winter weather lazy. When I lived in IN, we were out in it everyday, no matter what the conditions. Factories don't care if it's a blizzard, you still need to be there. Lots of people were fired for not making it in, no such things as a snow day.
We never had them either Kathy. We didn't get fired but we were made to understand they were NOT HAPPY. What used to get me upset was that those of us who lived the farthest away with the most snow would get there and the ones who lived close would wimp out.....
Quick post
GOOD news .. pressure in the operative eye is down, but, up in the other eye ..
See him again on Monday morning, bright and early ..
Thanks to all of you for T&Ps :-)
~M~
Always "M"
Gastro's office just called & changed my schedule. He doesn't want to do procedure until they get some blood in me so now have to go in 4 hours earlier. It's a pain in the patoot but I do feel better that I'll have the infusion first.
I'm glad to know I will be stronger.
thank goodness! Hopefully these 'scopes will pinpoint the problem so it can be repaired soon...
Had posted, but, I see it's GONE .. must have not done the posting correctly ..
Wanted to thank you all again for your support ..
Karen, best of luck to you ..
I see on ATP that Katie is in the hospital ..I had thought she went away, guess I missed something .. she' kinda angry too ..
Think I'm going to go and lay down .. so tired ..
~M~
What's wrong with Katie? Sending prayers her way?
She's still angry because she thinks I lied about her.
Least said is easiest mended .. I think she is an angry place right now ..
Seem to be riveted to the SNOWMAGGEDON .. hope all are well throughout it ..
Hey Dianne, whatcha doin?
Never did lay down, soon as Coronation Street is over, I am HORIZONTAL !!
Night night
~M~
~M~ glad to hear your eye is doing better
Karen - sooner is always better and happy to hear you'll feel stronger with the transfusion first.
I didn't know that Katie was in the hospital. I'd hoped that "stitch" in her side was feeling better. I know it's not her heart....... maybe it's the cancer?
I'm working on a lap quilt for a friend in Calgary - she could sure use some friendship, she's feeling rather depressed.
I'm also organizing another Round Robin on Cubits - need one more participant to make it 6 (nice even #). Deadline to join is Feb 15th, and centers don't need to arrive at the next in the list until end of March. This gives everyone some breathing room before it gets going. The completed tops will be in the hands of the originators by the end of March 2017.
So, do I have one more participant? Come find me in the Sewing section :-)
New room everyone, come on over.
