Hi I'm back,

whew, so I've been crazy busy. First you know how I had that dream. Well, I took "reading" it and have acted on what I call signs. In doing this, I have gotten brave and stood up to the person causing me mental anguish, but you know family's get into such arguments and well, this one, I believe didn't realize I will come out with my dukes up. So this is not ended, but sort of put on hold...
Since then, I heard from family members, normally wouldn't call and I have a cousin here who came for a visit. It was quite wonderful, and I really hope she comes for tea more often. Also got in touch with my Best Friend Forever and we plan to meet up in May, lol we are both praying her appt. will be after Julia's wedding, if it's before, I will see if I can make the day trip anyway, just have to see, but man I sure hope it will work out.

Thank you all for prayers and Thoughts about James. They have him on blood thinners to see if it opens his veins. He's really messed up and probably won't be able to work for quite a while. Luckily, insurance is helping out with that. He lives at home so his mom is taking good care of him. Were waiting to hear from him, been a few days.

MIL's b-day Party is this weekend, so been busy clearing all the decorations, except the snowmen and village!

LOL, I find my self talking to myself way too much here, so much that yep I've resorted to making that list or I'll be thinking way overboard on I how to go about stuff, yeah, I'm nuts. I am sticking to it and actually feel pretty good at crossing things off. One of the biggest things is I shut my self off reading and computer or nothing will get done.
I took down the gallery wall, so I could dust, clean frames and update photo's. lol I've been "ordered" to put the pictures back!! Rolled my eyeballs, patience, I will before Sat. so that is todays project! Also the front foyer again.

Well alright, I better get moving.

I went to the super store with my daughter and she said, I'm parking out here so you have to walk. I told her I can walk but not that fast. She said sorry mom and cut her speed a bit.

I have a cavity that needs to be fixed. A root canal is going to cost me $2025.00! OUCH!

I agree, but I did a Google search for root canals, and that is about the average price. It really hurts the pockets as we have no dental insurance. Thank god for payment plans.

Makes me glad I have only dentures.

yowch for the cost on the dental work - be about the same price here in Canada, I believe....

Well, Todd and I went to Mexico this afternoons. We found a dentist that started the root canal process. I go back next Saturday to get it finished. $800.00 compared to the $2025.00.

Went to ATP, read ONE post from someone and feel ill .. honestly, this hoo hah with the site has brought out the 'nasty' in some folks ..

I keep reading posts at ATP and they all make it sound like I must be stupid to want to stay here, and don't understand how important this site and our friendships here are to us. I really do love reading this thread. I keep hoping everyone will find their way back home.

while I'm not happy with the way the updates are going here, I'm not letting someone 'over there' tell me which place to go to. I'll go where I'm comfy and where my interests lie. Every group has one or two who, through their whining and complaining, causes a ruckus and keeps stirring the pot, or the sandbox in this case. I can't say whether the others really agree with her or are just going along with her, but it's not making it the great new place to congregate, in my opinion. And I was so hoping that it would be...

I am here and have not been there except to lurk. Did not want to post there because "if you cannot say anything good, keep your mouth shut Sharon". So I followed my own advise.

Yes, it is indicated if we stay here we are beyond stupid. Well, I am still here and do not plan on leaving.

I started cleaning my storage room off my laundry room. Oh my, I have opened Pandora's box. The room is about 15' by 10' with shelves on three sides. A total of three shelves. I have found so much junk, I finally moved a garbage container into the laundry room and filled it with a landscape garbage bag. That will go to recycle. And I have already made one run to a donation center and will make another one on Monday.

This all started when I decided to put away my own Christmas decorations and I wanted to put them lower so I could put them out next year without help. I used a long extension pole to bring the boxes crashing down while getting out of the way. They were empty, so it was loud but not dangerous. But I did scare the cats. I worked on it about 2 hours yesterday and about 3 hours today. I planned on only doing 2 hours a day but I came across about 10 years of tax returns and backup documentation. So the 3rd hour was spent in the garage work bench area shredding paper work.

So glad you guys are back. Betty, nice to see you drop in. I will return tomorrow. I need to get my going to bed routine started. Marilyn, so glad you guys are home.

I go to ATP .. started a thread about, what else, WEATHER .. pretty innocuous .. I sometimes comment on other threads, but, am basically a lurker now .. I just get the feeling that the members there think the 'Dave's Die Hards' are lesser beings, which, we are no by any stretch of the imagination .. we are better for having the fortitude and sense to stay with the ship ..
I gotta tell ya, taint NO ONE goin to tell me where I can, or cannot go on my computer .. if I am in a goof place, a comfortable place, and have cyber friends I like and RESPECT .. I shall stay

Good morning all
I, too, peeked in at the Sandbox and was not impressed. Since I have been a member of CU since it started and have sewn there with others who also sew here, I went and started my own threads. CU - Sewing- Pieces Make a Whole: Quilt. I will keep that site going as well as staying here. Anyone is free to check it out but it is mostly the same group as here.

I have been busy with my Antique Charm quilt and a crocheted throw that I work on at night or while the Patriots are playing.... LOL I have also started to put together the pattern and fabrics for four QoV blocks for Karen. So I am keeping myself busy.....

Watching a thread at ATP that intimates that this site may be shutting down .. it seems we have caused quite a bit of research to be done to try and find 'the bottom line' .. in all honesty, I doubt there is one ..

Anyway .. enough of that .. I am not as busy as Barb .. but, I did make a banana pudding cake this morning, and, a lasagna yesterday to cook for our 2pm supper today ..

Gordon is reading the paper, and, out thundering herd of white fluffis are chillin INSIDE waiting for DH to put another log on the fire.
