Best worse, what did I learn today, winter chat continues.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

New room everyone. Some are still waiting for winter to arrive, others are waiting for it to leave.

Thanks for new room.

Just back from doc, not a UTI infection I am dealing with but something up with
the kidneys.

Blood work is done and waiting to hear to see who they are sending me too.
I do not have time for this.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hang in there Debbie, keeping you in our prayers.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Kidneys are pretty important, filters out all the impurities our bodies do not need cruising around in our bloodstream.
Blood work results usually come back quickly .. perhaps nephritis ?
Wishing you well Debbie ..

Don't know if I have missed any posts as I have no clue how to go back a page ..

Hugs

PS.. still fighting with the TV/Printer sheesh ...never again

I have added a link to the old thread in the top post.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

We are having a mild bit of rain. Not suppose to be here until late tonight but showed up early. I took the dogs fo a walk in the rain because they will not leave the house to go out and go potty in the rain. But they will walk in the rain all day long.

The cats were out running, hit the wet landscape and turned around and ran back in immediately. I stood there to watch because it is so funny.

Barb, so glad you are doing a quilt for yourself. It is always harder to do something for yourself. Women always do for others than for themselves. It is how we were brainwashed when we were young.

Diane, you and your dogs have such a wonderful life. So happy for you.

Marilyn, I have gone over to ATP but just feel more comfortable here. Looks like Susan and Katie have left for good. Karen is like a lost kitten. I want to give her a big hug. She just wants the old group back.

I too have been trying to see what upset Betty. I think she got her feelings hurt. It was like she was leader of the pack and several individual were trying to get everyone to choose a new leader, ATP.

I got adult coloring books for Christmas from my sister and several friends. Now I just need to find time to sit down and color. I already had the colored pencils from art classes

Verona, ON

Oh Sharon welcome to the world of adult colouring. I love it. The last few months that my DH was alive he would spend some time every day colouring. He said it helped keep him sane.If you find you enjoy colouring there is a terrific site Doddle Art.com. I set up a table with the posters to colour and just left it out.Made it easy to drop in for a few minutes.

2 dogs flaked out on the bed - betcha they will want to rock and roll at midnight. Diesel and I will have our walk soon.I like to spend some time alone with each pup every day.

My feet are cold I am going to put on the heated socks Judy sent me.

M now when I buy any piece of electronics I will not buy it unless it was ready for me to plug it in and it works.

Oh Debbie do you have lots of cranberry juice?

Dianne

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Vern's Neurologist gave us a review of his latest spinal tap. Said revealed his does not have excess fluid on the brain so now we are back again on to Parkinson. So they have increased his Parkinson medicine.

I made a minestrone soup for dinner and I need to go make some cornbread. Cooler and rainy so a perfect time for soup.

I am so looking forward to the end of football. i have a new Downton Abby to watch and clothes to fold. Toward the end of the day light so I should get moving.

Hugs to you all. Sharon

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Downton Abbey is very popular .. I do believe it's the last season?
I watch Coronation Street, been on for 50 years! Gord and I watch it each evening .. get quite caught up with the storylines :-)

WELL .. I got the printer fixed, called our provider .. the printer wasn't configured properly .. took some groans and a few well placed 'blue words', but, we figured it out .. as well .. my BlackBery tablet needed to be linked to the wireless network .. as far as the new TV goes .. well .. we are STUMPED ..

Taking the puppers out one more time .. then bunkies .. Gord goes for a pre op tele conference tomorrow at the hospital .. Lorna is going to drop us off so we don't have to walk a mile and/or find parking ..

Sleep well everyone

HUGS

~M~

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Debbie, I forgot to say, sorry you are ill. That is a nasty feeling. I have not had that in years.

Marilyn, thank goodness you got your printer working. Vern decided to change the surround sound on the amplifier the other afternoon. Just started punching buttons. Next thing you know we have a FM station playing music while watching TV. I tried everything and was ready to shoot him. But I got the bright idea to turn the whole system off with the remote and then turn it on again. It went back to where it was to begin with. I get so frustrated because I have absolutely no idea what I am doing with all of the buttons on these systems.

When we built this house they wanted to make it a smart home and it would have it's own central system for everything. I said "No Way". We would do something wrong and not be able to get out of the house.

I find a lot of videos on U tube that will show you what you need o do. And they usually have them for each product and model. I have never heard of Coronation Street.

Downton Abbey was enjoyable. Maggie Smith is marvelous.

We had a break in the rain so I got the Christmas light down from the front landscape except for the ones above the gate. I will have my tall grandson do thst for me this weekend.

My daughter Tracy is putting away her Christmas decoration and wedding decorations and by the end of the week, she might have her life back in order. Two major weddings in three months was a major task. Granddaughter Hannah is back in Kansas City with her new husband, she will return to work and he will return to medical school. Grandson Corbin is back in college and other granddaughter Sarah and Adam, her husband, are back in Provo. Sarah works and Adam is still in college for one more semester then he starts medical school. The girls have no student loans but the husbands will make up for that.

My minestrone soup was delicious. Everyone is fed so I am going to sit down and watch the news and read the paper.

Diane, sending you sleeping angels to help you get a good night sleep.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Whew...All out of breath from running over here. I totally missed the link and was just posting merrily along in the old thread.

We are heading home in the morning. So many have had the crud this holiday season, I'm just waiting for it to hit me. So far been pretty good at dodging it. but was up with great GD Sammi when she was sick to her stomach. Then poor baby was all shakey & couldn't sleep so I was helping her to get relaxed and she finally did get to sleep about one.
Her brother Payton got his braces today and so far is an unhappy camper. This will get better. He had a permanent front tooth knocked out in a playground accident when he was 7. It was never properly treated and now at 12 his teeth have drifted. His oh so wonderful father is so far refusing to help pay for anything so we are doing his part. I told my DGD to keep every receipt, hoping at some point we can get him to pay up. He took GDG to court in Nov. trying to get child support lowered, however, he had neglected to let court know about his side job, in the end his payments were upped. Such a total jerk.

Verona, ON

Safe travels Karen. Hope there is no stormy weather in your path.

It is just cold here with the radio saying the last time it was this cold was Feb 2015.Pups and I have already had our early morning walk. They wanted to come home but I just kept striding north on the lane so off they toshed.

Sleep angels hit me but too early - I fell asleep about 9 pm woke up for the 11 news and have been up ever since. This insomnia is a family trait. When they were alive my sweet dad and my sister had problems sleeping too. My DM and DB could sleep through anything. I swear in my next life I am coming back as a sleeper.

My cleaning lady will be here this morning. Woo hoo. I love my home nice and sparkly clean but hate to do it and do it poorly. I think that all started when I was a kid. I loved to be outside or in the barn. My mother would make me stay home on Sat mornings to dust and vacuum while she and dad went into town.

Sharon and M you had me chuckling to myself describing your electronics woes. We too would probably end up locked in the house as you feared Sharon.
Warren was NOT allowed near the remote - I think he made it worse as he would panic and just started pressing buttons. Watching him get a DVD to play was painful.

A couple of Warren's friends when he was a cop called last night and want to come for a visit. One of the guys has just bought a spanking new 4X4 and they want to go on a trip. These boys with their toys make me laugh. One of the 2 bought a new 4X4 last year so of course Spider had to buy a new one this year. A few of them were here in the summer with their gorgeous Harleys. At least this time they called sometimes they just drop in. They are always great guests - bring food and booze, sleep downstairs and clean up any mess they make. They bring sleeping bags so I don't even have linens to wash. They are like a couple of teens but they have worked so hard they deserve every moment of fun they have now. This time 1 of the guys visiting retired out of Homicide in TO and the other out of the Sex Crimes unit.Warren would never go out with the guys so they always came to our house to play poker.

LK I thought of you when I watched the documentary Cartel on A&E last night.I remember you mentioning that the crime rate has increased greatly these last few years.

Yes Downtown Abbey is in its last year. I rarely watch it but that is deliberate. I will wait and watch a few nights of DA marathon. I watch more TV now then I ever did in the past. For years we didn't even have a TV then got a small B&W because we thought Nixon was going to be impeached. Then Warren got a colour TV to watch Shogun.

Oh Karen I just hate these deadbeat dads. When I taught Behavioural I was called into court a few times to testify as the moms tried to get more $$$s.Glad you advised your DGD to keep the receipts.

So Barb did you enjoy your day yesterday?

OK need to feed the cats. I've put us all on sort of a diet. The pups aren't too pleased but the cats are free fed kibble so they don't kick up a fuss. Streak and Sassy only get some canned food once a day now.

There is something wrong with this picture - the 3 pups are flaked out sound asleep on the bed while I sit in the recliner. lol

Enjoy your day ladies. Keep warm and safe..

Dianne and her TH

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Good morning :-)

Jeeze Dianne .. it's 25F here right now .. you KNOW that's crazy !
The dogs just took their time outside ..

Well .. I guess we are going to be taking components back re the TV .. someone in this universe must know the trick, but, they don't live at Sony or Samsung !
VERY frustrating ..
Did talk to our provider here in Thunder Bay .. fixed my printer and my BBerry tablet .. and .. I think the wireless setup from them that we got before Xmas, is what's to blame .. sigh .............

Karen, I do so hope you remain 'crud free'! Travel safe..

Debbie, how are you feeling today ?

Dianne .. Gord has a big new 4x4 .. you should see me trying to get up and into it .. quite laughable .. I haven't resorted to a stool yet, but, might have to !
His brother has the big honkin Harley .. can hear him coming (and leaving) for miles ..

Starting to get antsie re our trip east .. hoping this tele conference today will put us more at ease ..

Waving hiya to everyome

~M~

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.
Karen I hope you don't get the crud. And please drive safely. That is a long trip, i hope you take a break or two.

Nice of the guys to stop in for a visit Dianne. I bet it is kind of nice to have some of the boys over once in awhile?
We watch those documentaries all the time. Yes, it is pretty scary how bad the crime is getting, not only here but all over the place.

"M", electronics can be a pain in the but. Todd says to go to the menu on the new tv, sometimes you have to go through the onscreen menu to set different things up.

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Good morning, ladies. All this talk of electronics issues! I'm computerless at home right now. No idea what's wrong with it, I dropped it off with my son yesterday and hope he can fix it. The past week or so it would just shut down at random times. A screen would pop up that would say "shutting down" and it would, with not enough notice to save anything I was working on, and yesterday when I got home from work, it would try to start up, and would immediately shut down. He said it might be the power supply, but isn't sure if he can get to it this week. I'm lost without it!! I have an iPad, but I just can't get used to the touch screen. Other than when I'm travelling, I think I've only ever turned it on half a dozen times. Maybe this will give me time to get to know it better!!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Good morning (I think again). I too did not realize we had a new thread.
Hope you are home safe and sound Karen. You and hubby are wise to space out the trip.
Deb - hope this finds you feeling better and I agree about the cranberry. I keep capsules in the house all the time as I'm on a low dose antibiotic every day and we all know what they cause!!!!

Hoping your teleconference will settle you "M". Hope a lot of your concerns are addressed. You know we will be right there with you throughout.

Dianne - it is &^%*&(_ cold today!!!! I'm so grateful I don't need to go out. I got Norm a lined Carhart jumper and he is thrilled with it. Says it keeps him toasty.....
I told him I'm the only one supposed to do that!!!! LOL

Sharon, I would be afraid of a "smart house" too! I have enough trouble between the TV and the DVD. I always manage to hit a wrong button along the way.
I started cutting fabrics yesterday and had fun doing it. A long way to go yet. Need to remember to take pictures.....

Off to do my breathing. Hope you all have a wonderful day.....

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

morning, my gumbo turned out great. now i was asked to make a pot for a lady at the gym. she will pay me

Verona, ON

LOL Barb - its nice to know something that you bought Norm makes him feel toasty. Not as good as the real thing though.

When we used to fall our own trees and cut and split them in the field I bought Warren some masks as even then he had trouble breathing. I found one the other day so washed it and have been wearing when I haul in wood. Duke was out with me this morning as I got in 2 huge wheel barrows of wood. I had to put him in the house he was shaking from the cold. Poor little guy he doesn't have an extra pound on him and has patches where his fur never grew back from the abuse he took.

Think I will go into the village tomorrow to get my Rxs and some tartar busters for the boys. They make a heck of a mess but their teeth are white and sparkly and they have nice smelling breath. I give them these bones only on the tile floor so it is an easy clean up.My sick Escape goes to the car doc on Thurs. He thinks it might be an ignition coil...... just sounds expensive to me.

Well my cell phone has decided to join all of your badly behaved electronics. It started before Christmas but then righted itself but is back to acting up again.I have contact every day via text with a couple of people (we are all widowed with no close family) I sent out an email telling them my predicament but then I texted them a couple of days later. They were as confused as I was.

Oh M I sure hope the teleconference call helps you with of some worry. When I had to go to TO for my radiation I had 1 meeting with the Oncologist, then back to TO for updated MRIs and the form for my mask made. The 2 days before I was to arrive they Oncologist's resident called with with more info and ready to answer any questions I had. I was very impressed with their pre radiation care just as I was with my radiation techs..What hotel are you going to stay at?

Downstairs with the pups while Dawn is here. Every second week she does the downstairs as well as upstairs. We have infloor heating down here and it makes my feet feel nice and warm.

Oh LK I just love having these guys down for a visit - when we still lived in TO they came usually once a week either for dinner or poker. Nice thing is I cook 1 night and they cook the next. Of course with Warren not here they are telling me bizzaro stories about him on the force. Once Warren had to wake a barber up in the neighbourhood of his station at 2am because he needed a haircut and the Staff Sargent wouldn't clock him in until his hair was cut. I knew about that one but there are several I had never heard. Course how do I know they aren't pulling my leg ?

Debbie how are you feeling today?

Warren learned to like cranberry juice when he was having all the problems with his kidneys failing. One of my elderly neighbours when I lived in the farmhouse has just started infusions every 2 weeks for his kidneys. He too has learned to like cranberry juice too. He is not too happy about going without his salt and sodium filled deli meats.

Well I think I had better throw another log or 2 into the wood stove.

Judy how are things going?

Jean do you still go daily to visit your MIL? Your a saint!!!

Later folks
Dianne and her TH

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I bet you enjoy those stories, weather they are pulling your leg or not. Stay warm Dianne. I hope you don't have to cut and split the wood by yourself?

Glad to hear your gumbo turned out good Kathy!

Verona, ON

All the wood is cut and split now LK. It arrives in lengths and Steve brings some friends and they make a day - well actually 2 days of it. I run the splitter, nice easy job for me. I have a small electric splitter set up by the door I bring the wood in. If I need to give a log an extra split I can.

Yum on the gumbo Kathy.

Do we have 2 threads going on here?

Dianne

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

I think we have a new thread (this one) .. it says 'winter chat continues' .. 'they' really haven't made this any better have 'they'.

Dianne .. we let the woodstove go out as it's so mild, but, about an hour ago the wind picked up, from the NW .. the woodstove is now back in action ..

Tele conference was good .. the ANAESTHETIST was speaking with us .. finally I asked whether this was going to be done under a local, or a general anaesthetic as the questions were leading me to believe it would be a general .. but .. she (it was a young Oriental woman) said the eye would be frozen, with drops ... AND .. only ONE eye is being done .. we had thought 2 ..
Anyway, I felt better re just ONE ..

We'll be staying at the Chelsea on Gerrard St .. kinda right smack in the middle of the city .. we have a free day Thursday, depending on how Gord feels, we MIGHT take a Go bus/train to Lorna's parents place .. but .. Gordon has to be VERY careful not to exert himself for 4-6 weeks .. ugggg .. just when he was getting better from the Carpal Tunnel ..

People and their DEVICES .. one of the ones we bought is going back tomorrow .. the Blue Rayplayer .. it isn't wireless ..

May catch ya later .. can't get Track 11 out of my head Dianne ..... beautiful song, and, despite what he says, he dances well :-)

~M~

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Betty posted on the other discussion thread. She is okay.....

Verona, ON

He does so doesn't he M? He is a delightful lad but very shy when interviewed. I love that song - there is something that speaks to me from that track.

You might want to rethink about taking public transportation up to see Lorna's parents. Pretty jarring for Gord Although the. GO train wouldn't be as hard on Gord as the bus. Do you think you would be up for a theatre show? Cyndi Lauper's Kinkyboots is still playing. Going to the theatre is something we really missed once we moved here full time.

UPS wouldn't tackle the lane today so left the package at my former neighbours. When Maryl called I told her to go ahead and open it up and find a book to read EXCEPT for the book about Robert Durst, I can hardly wait to sink my teeth into that one.

Just to wind my clock up even farther my cell phone was working at 8am but when I went at 3 to send a text it wasn't. Grrrr

NCIS has a crossover with NCIS New Orleans tonight. I am a big fan and just love the atmosphere of NCIS NOLA.

Dogs are fed and don't want to go for a walk so I think I will feed me, stoke the fire and read for a bit.

Sweet dreams everyone. Sharon you send that sleep angel out again tonight please.
Dianne.

Lyndonville, NY

Did get the blood work back and I am confused.

Although he says it isn't the kidneys or bladder as in infection...it is
the mechanical workings of it. (I do not agree)

BUT there are FLAGS everywhere else on the blood work not
pertaining to the kidneys. He just said "don't worry about them".

I did some searches, and yes...I will worry. I think is time for
new doctor. I do have to go see a urloglist...but good heavens.

I am so full of fluid, 80 mg lasix does not get it all out...I have to take
it every day or will put on 10 lbs fluid a day....and he says "Don't worry".

Carbon dioxide in blood is high, anion gap is low....
AG ration is off Low GFR

Searches did not impress me.

M....any idea with the blood meanings?

Debbie

Verona, ON

Debbie me thinks you need to see a new doc quickly. Is it hard for you to switch from 1 GP to another ? Here in the rural areas we are so short staffed with GPs as the young docs want to stay in the city and specialize. We finally have a second GP here in the village but both docs carry over 600 on their caseloads. One doc is retiring this summer and there are no prospects. The village had a Wanted Doctor T shirt fund raiser to have some incentive for new docs. Not 1 application.. Hope you get some info and answers soon sis....

Pups are still not wanting to go out so I will watch the news and try again. I might have to just put them out 1 at a time. They will have crossed legs by midnight ....

Dianne

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debbie, I hope you get a new Dr. soon.

Dianne, I hope you get a good night's sleep.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

I hope you are asleep by ow Diane. But sending sleep angels anyway just in case you wake up.

I watched the NCIS crossover and now there is a Chicago Fire and Chicago Med crossover.

Vern and I both have doctor appointments tomorrow. We go to the same doctor and she sees us together. Appointment not until 1pm. It takes me that long to get Vern moving, him and the animals fed and the dogs walked and us out the door. By the time I get in the car my blood pressure is over the top.

We have had rain all day. No sun or sunlight. Very unusual for our neck of the woods.

I had to take the dogs for a walk in the rain today because that was the only way I could get them to step outside the house.

It is my bedtime so I will send you all, :have a great day tomorrow". I will go check to see what Betty said.....

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Debbie .. more than likely the Lasix is making your blood values 'off' .. that's a whopping big dose .. are you having cramps in your calves?
Changing docs is certainly looking like an option .. good to hear you are going to see a Urologist .. the inner workings of the kidneys are pretty intricate ..

Dianne .. Lorna'sdoc who she had had for 8 years, retired .. he had 3200 patients in his practice, and, they are now floating around 'out there' .. AND,a couple of the other docs in his 'pod' are considering retirement as well .. are there replacements .. NO !!!
Lorna is frantic, and, it looks like she'll be dealing with Walk In clinics ..
She does have a Nurse Practitioner she sees who checks her Warfarin .. but, that's about it ..
Kathleen Wynne has forced a lot of the docs hands by shutting down services ..sad!

It COULD rain here Sharon .. already 29F !
Watched the NCIS crossover, fell asleep, still don't know what happened with Abby's brother .. nice to see her taking on a bigger role .. LOVE her character ..

Hope you slept Dianne ... mine was fitful .. finally got up before 6am .. my mind is a whirl ..

I THINK we're going for groceries today .. have to swing by the hospital as Gord left some paperwork on a chair in Robins, and, some kind soul turned it in ..

Glenview, IL

Good Morning!

Hi Betty!! So glad to see you post, miss you.
Wishing you all the best for 2016.
...Hope things work out with Noah.

I just realized this morning a new thread...woohoo, found ya's.

Well, I am hanging in there...A ton of stuff to do. Just got my notice we hare throwing a Birthday Bash for my MIL, turning 80 on the 21, so b-bopping around cleaning again. Also decided I'm going to make her a bag for her walker.
In the meantime taking a break. I need to concentrate on Julia's wedding, less then 5 months away already...She's starting to get nervous. Getting set to get invitations out. I 've got to sit with a calendar and figure out when to have the meet and greet with the wedding party. To make it easy will plan a weekend afternoon. Sweet, her cuz, my nephew is all excited about being an usher, got his suit already!
bbl...Enjoy the morning.

Got to get Steve off, so will come back catch up with everyone.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.

Lots of wedding coming up with Thunder, and Judy. Love is in the air.

Verona, ON

Morning everyone!

Its 9*F out on the lake side deck. Dogs ran out, did their trick and ran right back in. I didn't even put my coat on as I knew it was going to be a quick one.No chance of rain here unless it is freezing. The sun is starting to shine so that always makes the day seem better. The pups and I walk in the dark in the am and at 6 pm. Hate that but make up for it during the day, Right now I have to be careful as the lane is icy treacherous. The snow/ice melts during the sunny part of the day and freezes over at night. Sometimes the it doesn't get warm enough to melt that ice. Even the fields and woods are covered in a thick layer of ice.

M was I was off the correct number of people on each doc's caseload - it is close to 2500 + each. I was looking at facts about a clinic they ran for 1 particular thing We are a very small village surrounded by 3 other small villages and the farm land. We have more vets in the area than GPs.

Duke has something nasty going on his right ear. I got a glimpse in yesterday but that was it. With all of his fear factors he will not let me near the ear. When I tried to swab it he took a snap at me, bared his teeth and immediately started a fight with Diesel and Chaos. I will muzzle him today and try again. He bucks and wiggles as soon as you try to put your hand on him to steady him. Vet's visit would end up with him being put right under. Makes you wonder what atrocious things happened to him before he found his way to me.

Woodstove is chomping up wood like it is the size of matches. I have a wheel barrow load right by the side door ready to get it inside.

I did sleep last night for almost 4 full hours. Woke up just as tired as I fell asleep.Time to bring out the Rx sleep med again. I hate to use them every day as I worry about relying on them.

Debbie how are you doing this morning? That is a massive dose of lasix. Something is not right in Lyndonville.

I really enjoy all 3 of the NCIS shows Would love to see them all on 1 night. Sorry to read yesterday Michael Weatherby is leaving at the end of this season. 13 years. Hope the story line has him walking into the sunset with Ziva. Hope that Robert Wagner still gets to visit occasionally. Pauly Perrette makes me smile - good to see her have a bigger role last night.

Strange but large cat like prints in the carport near where I store the garbage. They are huge. It is not a coyote or wolf print. We have lynxs in the area so will have to research this online.I would have thought they would be sleeping the winter off.

It is so cold in the house I crawled back into bed to read and read DG. Time to be brave and face the chilly morning.

Going into the village for Rxs and a few groceries so will call a couple of my elderly neighbours from when I lived in the farm house. One doesn't drive and the other 2 have trouble getting around on the ice.

Dianne

mulege, Mexico

I have been here and I have posted. No one has responded except Karen who accused me of saying something which I did not say at ATP. She also put the worst possible interpretation on something which Dave wrote. I've been dealing with health problems and since I seem to be invisible here anyway, I'll head out.

Have a good life, everyone.

katie

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Katie, don't leave. Sometimes with this new format, some posts get missed. Last time I saw you post, you said you were getting over your pneumonia, and I replied, I hope you get better soon.

Dianne, please drive careful on those icy roads.

Verona, ON

I just got home from a less than pleasant jaunt into the village. The lane is almost impossible and very treacherous. No emergency vehicles would come down if needed today. I crept along in 4 wheel drive and got almost to the top of the lane when I remembered I hadn't put any money or debit/credit cards in my pocket. So back I crept home got some $$s and crept back out. All the main roads are just fine, they have all been sanded. In for the day now. I wouldn't let the pups out even if they wanted too - you can't stand upright on the ice and if Diesel went down I would never be able to get him back up on his feet.

Stay safe and warm everyone
Dianne

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you are home safely.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Jeeze .. I didn't see any kind of a post like tha, and, I'm here often
As well .. I can say at least 3 if not 4 of my posts have gone AWOL simply because I hit the PREVIEW post and thought it had posted ..

Gosh Dianne, does the Township plow your Lane ?
Have to admit that several of grocery store parking lots are B A D !
I tell Lorna to just stay in the vehicle ..
Her prosthetist, Kerry, fell .. broke his right (and only) ankle, and is in hospital in a bit of a fix ..
Lorna visited him yesterday, cheered him up as he is so proud of her ..

Have the TV tamed 90% .. now just trying to get rid of one (or 2) of the remotes !
