Will likely do the cookies this afternoon, as we eat our main meal at about 1pm now, and, the oven will be in use.

Going to drag either Gord or Lorna into town tomorrow .. have 3 stops .. so wished the stores ALL opened early, but, most open at 10am.

Sounds like you will all be busy over Christmas .. I won't .. and, I sure hope DSs wife doesn't top the season off with DRAMA .. she is da QUEEN of Drama ..

Yes, Murray should be more than ashamed of himself .. we have had NO help with things around the house,, ie, cutting and bringing in wood, help with lawn furniture being put away .. nothing ..Lorna and I did it while Gord's hand is still healing .. not easy for either of us, but, I will not beg ..
I really do not know what would play out were they to just show up here .. I don't want to even think about it ..

Hope all are well .. Lorna's Dad MAY go home in a couple of days IF he can walk up and down steps .. difficult task for him ..

Soooo wonderful to have the child home, Poor boy is going to be sick of me soon.... I keep grabbing him, and telling him I NEED a hug. Need to make up for lost time. So very lucky he is tolerant of this crazy Momma.

Ok, so The family Gathering was really nice, had a great time. Got to see all the wedding pictures and They gave me a flash with all the ones they had taken. Got to say mine from the reception were better, lol didn't say that to them though...I just told them there are a few that I had printed for Aunti Jean. I'm giving to her for Christmas...My house is mostly done as far decorations, and the little tree is decorated and lit. I was suppose to go shopping but ended up play elf helper, yikes lots of sanding my arms are still vibrating, lol.

Oh, Deb, glad you found the groomer to be very helpful, sure helps save you lots of time. Make a list, check twice...lol hope you got the last minutes!

Have a Hospice client who is likely going to pass before Christmas .. will drop in and see her today .. when I come over, it's time for the family to shower or catch a nap while 'Tildee' and me yap and I do her dressings.

Bless you "M" for being a hospice volunteer. We had one when Norm's Mom was dying - she lived with us. The wonderful support you give to a family is a miracle in and of itself let alone the care given to the patient. We will never forget May who was wonderful to Norm's Mom and to us almost 20 years ago....

Easy day today = just a bit of crochet and some reading. Tomorrow I'll pay all the bills for the rest of the year and then heave a big sigh of relief that once again we were able to do so...

I'd love to do a bit of sewing but all gifts are stowed in the sewing room. It's the one room I can keep the door closed and miss nosy britches knows to not go in unless I'm there and invite her in. I had to be very stern about that as there are so many dangerous things in there.

I am off to get the turkey and all the fixins for Christmas dinner. I try to get to the store before they get crazy busy!

Just skimmed so will go back and read later. I am just coming off of a 72 hour bout of vertigo. The worst I have ever had. The morning it started I went into town with my borrowed son. As we were unloading the Escape it hit me like a thunder bolt. Steve had to help me inside. When Steve tried to get the boys out on the deck Diesel would not go .He stuck to me like glue for 2 days. I knew I must be getting better when he asked to go out and and something to eat..

Thunder you got the best Christmas present ever. You tell that boy of yours you are just trying...to store those hugs up.

M I am just appalled at your son's behaviour. I expect your DIL has him on a tight leash and he is probably afraid of how she would react if he offered to help you. Sad really .....

Oh LK you are wise to get out now. When we were in town the other day the traffic was insane. Every mall we passed was chock full of cars. Not my idea of a good time. We were at WM when it opened at 7 am. Steve's wife thought we were crazy but we sailed right through the store ... no lineups.

My cleaning lady is here - I am very thankful. She is a gem.

I've had my butt busy all day and still have to mix up bread dough, wrap 4 packages and cut veggies for a salad. I'll be hot footing it tomorrow so it's all got to get finished tonite. It will be fun though.

I had an email from Betty. She's busy as can be as usual. I had asked her if she was coming back to DG and she didn't address that at all. 😢

Saw the doctor today. I have pneumonia. He says iit's not too baad I should feel a lot better within a few days.

sounds like Admin's promises about fixes here. Hope he's righter than they are.

Well crud Drs. office just called and hemoglobin is dropping, down to 8. Two weeks ago it was 9.4. Seems the lower it goes, the faster it drops.

Sorry to hear you are going through that Dianne. I too will send prayers that it goes and stays away.

Good to hear everyone is busy, I am too, but, feels like I'm doing nothing but spinning my tires sometimes.
We are having our Christmas dinner on Thursday ... HELLO ~M~ .. that's tomorrow!
Will make the dressing today .. just SO do not want to go out again, but, DH has mentioned he wants to .. we'll see how this plays out.
Still have NO packages wrapped .. so .. bought gigantic gift bags and lots of colourful tissue paper .. no fuss, no muss .. but, the gifts won't jump into the bag themselves !

That vertigo deal is a hell raiser .. hope it's short lived Dianne ..

I like using the gift bags. They have a nice selection at the Dollar Store. I bought enough this year that I shouldn't need any next year.

I hate wrapping gifts so gift bags were a boon to me. Warren so enjoyed his first stocking he decided he didn't have to wrap gifts. He used a stocking which I will add was actually pantyhose.

It is very foggy out with some rain off and on. I feel like I am in an envelope.It is so warm here I have let the fire die out. It is in the lower 60's here already.

Might make some cookies but then again I might not. If they are here I will eat them.

Sitting in the parking lot if urgent care, waiting to get my injection. Only 6 ahead of me, so maybe an hour or so wait.
My oldest son and family surprised us at 5 last night. They showed up a day early! It was so nice to see them. Other son will be here about noon.

Well, as much as you all don't like to wrap gifts, I am the complete opposite, wink just love to wrap gift. And yippy, my son caught the that bug from me. He was actually quite happy to be done with his shopping and Wrapped everything the minute he got home. It's been really fun to watch him be the happy Santa's helper!
Then he was delighted to put them under the tree since they were wrapped!

Yesterday was a bust getting anything done. I've been in turmoil about a situation, I'm trying to figure out what to do. And so I prayed for sign on what to do.
I don't dream very much or at least I don't remember dreams. During the night I had a single vision, my front door opened all by it's self and no one was there.

So today, I have got to get my self in gear and finish up things, will clean the house later! Well, I have a bunch of photo's to go through and get ordered, so I will get busy...

Oh first a cute story. We sent my nephew and nieces a package for Christmas, Got a call last night from my brother. They were already sitting at the table writing Thank you notes! got to smile at that.

Debbie, so glad you put up a tree after all. Now that our tree is decorated its pretty.

It's better than I had thought, Dr gave me the OK to leave town as long as I have regular blood draws and get them faxed to him. And as long as I feel OK. I'm a bit weary but not too bad as yet.

I cooked the squash last night, and today will work on pies and treats, have the stuffing bread already pulled out and "hardening", and tonight will cook up the additions to that. Then tomorrow morning just have to throw it all together.

You are all so special to me, and I think each of you for holding onto me and getting me through this rough time in my life. You are true family.
