Best/Worse/What did I Learn today?& Santa Warren Xmas Exchange

He was such a sweetheart "M" - you would have so enjoyed his posts. He always had a chuckle or two for us and the most generous heart. We stayed with him through his wife Shirley right up to the end and he is soooo missed. I planted tulips in my garden in his memory along with the ones I had planted for Santa Warren. I sure hope Shirley gets in touch with you once again Betty.

Oh I have huge sympathy for all the migraine sufferers. I had them when my children were small and they totally incapacitated me for hours. I couldn't take the meds until hubby came home as they knocked me out for hours. Hubby decided to get vasectomy once we decided our family was complete and like magic the headaches stopped never to return. Seems they were caused by THE PILL. He got the procedure when it was first out there, in fact his was the first my Dr. ever did.

Amazing the side affects some pills can give you!

Lorna's Mom is SUPER sensitive to SUNLIGHT .. especially off of snow ..
When they were here we were siting at the kitchen table playing cards .. I have a huge window facing east .. half way through the game, her Mom got up, asked for a cool wet wash cloth, took 2 Tylenol ES and went and layed on the bed .. I darkened the room, and removed the dogs LoL
She was fine after an hour or so .. and, kept her sunglasses on for most of the rest of the trip.
Have looked after folks suffering from them .. one of the drugs used was CPZ .. chlorpromazine (Largactil) along with a narcotic analgesic, how many ways can you say 'ZOOOED' !!

Tempis dropping, but oh my .. so thankful for today :-)

Was a beautiful day indeed "M" .. just got in from Barrie, got Greg's book, pages should be gold for the price I paid..oops had it been a craft book I likely wouldn't mind 😉. Looks like it's just the thing he needs for his new endeavour. Looked for a book to buy or order re winter camping, but no go..

Streets were starting to fill up, bumper to bumper, dropped into the fabric shop, hadn't seen them in awhile, you would be proud of me, bought a 60 degree ruler, 1/2 meter of red and 1/2 of blue with clouds then drove to the mall, bought a vacuum for downstairs, young lad said just click parts together, easy, well doesn't look so easy to me..guess Santa gave me part of my Christmas gift this past week .. iron/craft room tv/kettle and now a vacuum, better not ask what else has to be replaced as there is always something.

Barb, Tubby sure enjoyed giving us our morning laugh..
I set Shirley's envelope on the counter and guess with all the to do iPod Christmas it went amiss..sure wish I had it as I owe her a thank you card.

You better get the instruction book out Betty.

Wrapped a few gifts, look at mom's purse 1/2 done and said 'not tonight'!

I played lazy and bought a tray of veggies and tray of fruit to take with me tomorrow night at the Christmas Neighbirhood gathering so no work scheduled for tomorrow, leaves me plenty of time to finish mom's project and few outdoor things

This weather sure is helping people get ready for winter...Sooo many lights on coming into town, so pretty

Will put mine on tomorrow, didn't want to put them on hen head to bed and have to get up to turn off lights. Not sure the music and lighting system would allow for me to put it on a timer, have to ask greg

Do wish you were closer, I've a TV,sewing machine,kettle and 2 vacuums to go to the dump..have to go down the street and see if the junk collector will come get it.

Just having coffee and will tackle the vacuum..hoping it picks up better than the other as I'm dragging threads upstairs big time..the big one upstairs is just too heavy to be carrying downstairs..hmm maybe should have asked Santa for central vacuuming but likelupy a big jog putting it in walls..miss having it here!

No, the toradol only worked a few days. I have asked him for the pills and he will only give me 5 days at a time. He says they are bad on the tummy.

I'd tell him I'd rather have an upset tummy vs pain that incapacitated you..

Amazing when you are wide awake and look at the vacuum parts a plan comes together..just did you 1st pass in craft room, lightweight and good suction so all is well in my world this morning

Now to finish mom's bag purse she hinted about. Lol

Balmy day here too. I've promised Amelia some outside time in a while. She loves to go out and neither parent will get off their duff and take her unless I push the issue. Once I mention it she will nag until she gets out.

LK .. upset my tummy, but, I started taking a drug called 'pariet' for that problem had the best of both worlds .. don't take toradol anymore but, I do still take Pariet ..

Hung sheets out to dry, good breeze from the east .. about froze my hands though LoL

Karen .. I mentioned going in the car OUT LOUD in front of Lilly .. have had to look at those big brown eyes ever since .. Lorna and I are going to a Christmas Parade tonight .. it's not your typical one .. this parade is all big rigs decorated to the hilt .. we haven't been for a couple of years, looking forward to it ..

"M", do they let you browse the dump for treasures? Years ago before we had garbage service, once a month we went to the dump with Dad, and spent hours looking for things people threw out. Sometimes we came home with more that we left there.

Both sound like a lot of fun..nothing like that here, we do have a lit boat parade though..

Got housework done, not much, about 10 minutes on mom's bag and Kyle came for a visit.
Asked him where he was when I was putting vacuum together. Lol. Always a pleasure having him visit...he turns 20 on the 14th..so proud of him!

Figured today was the last chance for a while to do windows on the outside. Looks ever much better.

He is working hard Lindakay, think things are getting a tad better since most of court days are over and the young lad that stabbed him pleaded guilty, still, would have been nice had it all been over but we will take what we get..still has a lot of anger issues, sold his snowmobile, think it reminded him of that night, alwYs 3 machines in the yard should he want to go..

Drats Karen, here I thought I was doing good and here you are doing windows, perhaps tomorrow. With it being in high 40,s was the solution sticking to the windows..what did you use

I was outside putting last pond to bed and whatever else was dragging in the years..wasn't going to put the big Santa out as mice ate his Santa bag last year but while I was making arrangements for outside I found a pot, set greenery in it and put it next to him..having lunch then will put lights in the arrangement..I'd better start lighting all this stuff or else it will be time to put it away for the year.

Went to see the junk guy, he wasn't home but his girlfriend was, she decided that if we could fit it in my car we could bring it to their garbage bins so off we went, all those piece now gone.

I go out at five so have 3 more hours to get work done

Bought several pjs of Hamburg yesterday so want to mix patties and freeze, make sure all the outdoor lights are synchronized to the music, only thing left of mom's purse/bag is the handles and sew together and then will call it quits for the day, gives me an hour to bathe/do my hair and be ready for my 5pm outing

Actually, I stayed on the inside and sent hubby out. LOL Used plain ole Windex, nice to see the sunshine sparkle in. Been a long time since they've been done. Wouldn't ask hubby then as he was so busy taking care of me and the house.

We've gotten them for years, and are very happy with them - sure saved our "bacon" at Christmastime when it was pre-paid and we could still have a great Christmas

Only want him long enough to install outdoor basement light, closet door at basement entrance and a few electrical sockets..might wait till just after Christmas as I know what's want for Christmas..door jam into craft room, the bRn board type of fixture for sliding door and door..will start looking for what I want that way when not in craft room the family room will look lovely closed off..no need to tell the boys, they always give me $$$ because they know I've got an 'I want' on back burner..wouldn't take a day to get all I want done, a, sure I'd find someone who is broke during Christmas week

So glad I checked my invitation, function tonight is at 6 not 5..guess I got mixed with Rita's at 5pm next Friday..nothing worse than arriving at a function an hour early.

They are usually on the lake in town, can get quite close to them there.

Back home, had a lovely visit..actually never met any of these neighbours so was nice. One of the younger women just moved here and married, she is from Chattanooga,Tennessee..strange to hear such a drawl up here..I didn't leave early, we ate then the older folks (niot) started to leave so shortly after i left.

Was surprised, I bought a dressy shimmering top and dress pants about 20 years ago, thought I had gotten so much heavier, tonight I took the outfit out and it fit...

My fitness trainer is no longer in the area , I'm so bummed. She is getting divorced and moved to Columbus......heart breaks for her. Gonna miss her, we became friends.
