Best/Worse/What did I Learn today?& Santa Warren Xmas Exchange
Sorry to hear about Lorna's parents. Taking meds on schedule is so important.
Jean, those gifts are awesome. I love the little chihuahua.
Thanks LK. I thought it would be too cute perched on a wreath or tucked in the tree.
Either one would be nice!
YAWN!!!!!
Restless night .. getting used to them ..
Jean .. so glad the parcel arrived .. at one point it looked as though it was stalled in Illinois!
Re the Chihuaua (sp) .. Zoey about went nuts when she saw it .. I had to hide it and put it in the box last while she was outside LoL
That little girl is a 100% Christmas loving furry !!
Snowed overnight, but, as it's 34F already, it won't stay to ground ..
Off to an appointment this morning .. hoping we can pick up our mail too .. must find the letter with the times on it ..
Be sfae, stay warm and .. have a perfectly perfect day ..
HUGS KATIE ..
~M~
woke up with a sore throat. well, off to the gym
Morning all,
34 feeling 32 here, check 14 day forecast, seems but one day we might get a trace of snow so Lindakay keep the fronts in your neck of the woods and maybe we will get through 1/2 December without the white stuff...always seems strange when a storm a comes through they say it's from Texas..lol
Drats Kathy, colds seem to be going around, maybe you should skip the gym today and look after yourself or it will stay with you until Christmas..how is that puppy doing?
"m" you sure are one busy lady with these appointments..bet you can't wait to spend a few days with nothing to do. Feel bad for Lorna being so far away and freeptting over her parents. Would she not consider maybe spending the winter with them and getting them into some sort of routine..know it would be gphave to get there but airplanes are so accommodating these days and would get all she needed in cargo? Wouldn't that be something..ohh I get such a kick out of tracking parcels I send.
Jean what a box, Adele is the rage, how wonderful "M" knowing your love of music included one of her cd's. Believe it was last weekend Adele had a TV special, missed it, perhaps it will be replayed. Bet you don't know which yummy to eat first..and yes, that chihuahua is adorable and would look lovely tucked in your Christmas tree.
I too wonder how Susan is doing, likely overwhelmed and needs to rest.
Yesterday afternoon I went out and did some errands, ended up meeting up with a friend and having supper then some more shopping, thing with being done with Christmas early is you get back into the Christmas spirit and start shopping all over again, a plus for the kids.
The book I ordered for Greg is in so I will go to Barrie Friday or Saturday and do a few more thinks. Did fine a thermometer ray gun for Greg, not sure what it does or if it will even help him with his pizza oven, if no good he can return it.
Need to go looking for something for Jeff, birthday is next week..usually wrap his and Greg's with birthday wrap and just set the. Under the tree. Maybe I can go to Coles books and find something about winter camping.
Best I finish my coffee, have a few girls dropping in this morning, should get dressed
Safe travels "M".
Betty, I was wondering why you were not posting much yesterday. Always nice to run into friends.
Girls didn't leave just before 1:00pm, just realized I did post but must not have pressed send and off into cyberspace it went.
Thought I'd make something quick to take as a host/hostess gift for Saturday night as I think I shall go to the Neighbirhood gathering.
Ohh forgot I didn't eat, porridge it shall be, need something to fill my tummy before Bonnie gets here..
Good snowy morning.
Whew, its been crazy busy again...
Johnny took down a total of 4 trees. It was wonderful to see him and hear all the news.
While he was here we went to see the band Jacyl, his favorite group.
Bummer, his wife Char was ill with the flu so opted not to come, glad but not, lol.
Thank goodness we had a couple nice days to get the yard cleaned up, we even had a nice last minute fire outside. We do still have the big pieces to cut and chop...
Oh my gosh so much to talk about, I hardly know where to begin.
Well..Jake got his vehicle back, in the process of stripping it and then scrapping the metal.
I sure hope it works to his thinking and he makes some of his money back.
In the meantime, the boy takes after his father...Bought another just like it with out all the bells and whistles and will replace what he put into the other car; sound system, switched tires. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the engine, so he will be selling that. Anyway when he went to see the vehicle, he went with a certain amount of money. After they did all the paper, The cost was way over what he had, so he was ready to walk. The guy is probably still shaking his head, Jake drove away with the vehicle for a meesly 1280!! He has everything already transferred and by the time he transfers all stuff from "Betty" to "Betsy"
I had an anxiety attack, so not fun...Watching him sitting directly under the vehicle only on the a couple of jacks and one hydrolic jack, scared me to no end, plus it was getting dark and hes under there with a flashlight pounding on something, deep breath, its done...and he thinks I shouldnt worry.
Oh my goodness, big smiles over here, Great Santa Warren gifts for Liz and Moonbeam!! Wow what a load you both got!
I have phase one just about complete, ran into a tiny snafu. OH my gosh, must have been on my mind because in the middle of the night, the idea so simple hit me like I was some sort of idiot for not thinking of it sooner!! give you a tiny hint, it involves an armwrap, Will work on that today.
Anyway hoping to get mine on it's way to somewhere, lol by Friday, Saturday the latest.
Anywa, I'll be back, got to go feed this little one, Flo...
Be back in a bit.
By the way, my laptop is messed up!! So bummed about that, but trying to get together with David to fix i, hopefully soon.
Oh, quickly...Waiving hi Thunder, so glad to see your beautiful quilts. OH goodness so glad Breenie didn't see the very cool Happy feet Penguin. LOL She'd have me drop everything to make her one! That sure is quite alot of sewing those little pieces!
Katie, deep breath, hope things settle down.
Susan, Yikes you too...hopeful you get them next time.
ok got to dash for a few.
puppy went to salon for the first time for a bath. she didn't like it. she is a she- devil
More snow for us, not alot, but everything looks pretty and white. High in the mid 30's today.
On a big count down until next Monday, when Klaus gets his staples from his surgery removed. He is now feeling good, and keeping him quiet is a struggle, since he's still a big puppy and wants to play. Monday night when I got home he managed to kick the tray in the bottom of his crate out, and bent the door a bit. Yesterday, I left him in my computer room, figuring he'd be happier with more space. I guess he was trying to open the door, because he knocked several pictures off the wall, after he dumped his water dish, and there's dirty paw prints half way up the wall next to the door. Some broken glass from the picture frames, he's fine. I put him in a pen in my room while I cleaned up and he managed to jump up and hit the button on the back of the doorknob and locked himself in my bedroom. I had to run to a neighbor to find something thin enough to poke in the little hole in the doorknob to release the lock. Today, he's staying with a friend of mine, she doesn't work, so she offered to babysit and keep him out of trouble. It was either that, or the big plastic airline crate that I have to disassemble to fit through a doorway, and I think he'll be happier at "Aunt Mary's" house. We'll see if she can handle him while I'm at work the rest of the week, or if one day will be all she can take!
Holy cow Deb .. he is hell bent on NOT being kept quiet ..
Wish you luck ..
Docs apt went well .. pressure in Gord's eyes is down for the Toronto trip is done .. so .. were good to go ..
Betty .. would be that it was easy for Lorna to travel .. she really does require an attendant to help her with equipment .. when she works, she works with her truck nearby .. at night she uses a commode, and, she is UBER fussy about her own personal hygiene ..
Her in a house with her parents would be so stressful .. ONE bathroom ..
If we HAD to go I do think we would stay at a hotel ..
Let's face it .. we are going to HAVE to go at sometime or another ..
Just made dog biscuits, now a game of cards is in the offing ..
Hope everyone is well .. good to hear from you Judy :-)
LK .. how are you? Dianne, Barb, Sue and Susan .. Jean and Betty .. Joyce .. putting my Magic Mirror away :-)
~M~
Glad to hear bus eye pressure is down.
I went to urgent care yesterday for a shot of toradol, and am doing pretty good. I know it will wear off in a few days, but I will take all the pain free days I can get.
Betty, envelope came today, thanks so much.
I so remember doo be doo and the mirror, hope you saw me hard at work because I did not stop all day.
While Bonnie sewed I worked on projects
I managed to do 8 bird feeders
3 Xmas snowman blocks
Finishing touches on the wreath I made for Rita
An oven glove set for a host/hostess gift for Saturday night's Christmas gathering..just need to make cookies
Just going to get at supper before I burn it..once I eat I'll be back to read all your posts.,skimmed over them, now time to take it all in
You are welcome Karen..
Darlene had bought me a little portable machine from walmart last year when I sent mine in for repairs..never used, am thinking of giving it to Brianna
The green and beige Xmas runner is Bonnie's, she will habpnd sew binding at home..we cut out 3 tree runners for her to work on this week
Eyes are tired, metalling asleep as I type
Waving Hi...today is Jim's birthday. Some of his cousins came into town to visit his mom and afterwards we all went out for lunch. DS Jason is taking us out for dinner so have to get things wrapped up feeding animals etc and dress for dinner.
Told Jim, Yep, we'll still need him and feed him even at 64. grin
M, again thank you for the lovely Santa Warren package. ((((hugs))))
Hope you all have a good evening. Stay warm and be safe.
I am so delighted and excited to show and tell.

Oh, Judy, it was wonderful meeting you and getting armwraps!! And meeting Flo and Pegasus, and Jake and Emily. What a wonderful visit we had, but I had to rush home to take care of the dogs. We will have to do this again!!
Oh my gosh! How cool to have them hand delivered! Those are nice gifts you got.
Oh gee Oh my God, I'm just smiling from ear to ear, when Aden emailed me how close you were to each other I just knew the gift of meeting would be the biggest gift of all, didn't know jpjust how spoilt you would be. Just love every item but the bird ornament is spectacular and the owl, wow something else.
Now Deb, I don't want to insult you in any way, for some reason I took you to be a little younger than I and look, you are one heck of a gorgeous young woman. Now trying to go bac and think of what may have given me that idea.
I'm as excited as Judy is having met...sorry up you didn't get to meet, Steve is a sweetheart.
iPad froze for a moment, thought I might have lost my post but nope it posted.
"m" haven't listened to the news, sounds like another tragedy, perhaps I will not listen.
Stepped outside for a sec to wake myself up, napped for 1/2 hr or so..ohh it's almost spring out there.
"m" watching the news..there is never any words for such tragedies..so many lives lost and lives that will never be the same for those who survived.
Believe they've shot 2 suspects..feel for their families as well
Wonder how far fron liz's
Caught a bit of what was going on here - Katie - Hugs your way, hope the stress is going down for you....
Hey Marilynne - I'm here, just not that much.
We've been dealing with Marcel & his lies again. Got a call from the City saying we have to clean up the back yard, because it's "been that way for 4 months" and had 48 hours to do so. So, we called Marcel's "witness" for the Hearing, Bylaw Officer Kooner to view the yard before & arfter. The "before" pictures were worse than the ones Marcel used for "evidence" at the Nov 27th hearing LOL
Now he's saying that "children" are using the backyard. They only have 1 child. I wonder if Carolyn is having a daycare again - against the Lease of a "residential use only" rental........ I could really Get them on that point alone.....
Bob put everything back the way it was when we rented it to them (between sheds, etc) and the ByLaw Officer said it's fine the way it is. The Property Mgr for the Park was going to come by today after we finished.
Marcel called (got voice msg), saying he was there from 11am to be there, and we had an arrival time between 11am & 3pm, but the ByLaw officer could not meet us until 2pm. Oh well - Marcel didn't have to be there, or approve our access to the yard. I can sense another "cost me a day's wages" claim by him, but he didn't have to be there.... it's HIS choice - he doesn't have any proof of wages, anyway lol
I emailed the Prop Mgr with "before/after" pictures and also the pictures that Marcel provided to the Hearing Officer On Nov 27th, showing it better than when we arrived today......
He's a stupid scam artist.......
btw - I hadn't posted much, so had 'lost' this thread...... sorry :-/

Betting you can make them Linda, Looks fairly easy to me. Love it on the table with the candle.
fially, we take our neighbors to court today. wish me luck
Good Morning!
Geese Betty, you got more done in one day, and it took me a complete day to work the one little piece that woke me n the middle of the night...But today I will go get the rest of my pressies and get them on the way.
Question? are your hands small, medium or large? lol. I wear a small/medium.
Oh Susan, One step, one day at a time and I really hope this ends with the next court date. Those people are worse or as bad as the other tenant you had deal with.
M, I got you and Gord on my mind today, sure hope everything goes well.
Linda kay, that is so pretty. If you make one be sure to show it off!
OH My Gosh, Betty, everyday you have had workshops and lots of people in and out. Your craft room has been a busy, fun filled area, no wonder you need to take naps...Now, lol I have been meaning to say, how beautiful your craft room looks, with all the hangings on the walls. I was glad to get a full view of that gorgeous sampler behind that one table. Ok, yippy finally joining the Christmas decorating parties.
I will start getting mine out, Everyone here has mentioned I should decorate now because it's December
, decided yep I'll start putting up the village. Not sure where I'll set it up because i can't put things in Pegasus Window, hmmmm...Well anyway I will make a special day of it tomorrow, it's my DS Sylvia's birthday. She would have been 55, but it will be a fun way to remember her all day!
Speaking of Christmas, Dianne, you had asked about the meal...Answer, we don't have turkey again. We'll have roast and most likely some other kind of meat, but not ham, because we'll have ham for Easter. You want to know what we do with the left overs? ohhh so easy, we make egg rolls! What ever we don't eat we can split up and throw in the freezer.
Oh and I was wondering how your liking your new laptop? phooey mines down and i do miss it.
Waiving hi to Debbie! I sure hope all things are going good. (sending big tight armwraps). Sure miss you.
Deb, yep was awesome and I sure hope we will get together often...lol in all our visit, i forgot to ask. How did the pup do at your friends? Will she keep him again?
LOL, you all know me, forever behind in conversation: here's my take on shopping, I'm with the rest of you
I hate shopping with the i want attitude. Now that the kids are adults we decided this year only one gift of the giver's choosing...I said oh good, cause i already have in mind what "I" want to give.
...speaking of, Breenie wears black sweaters at work, So I am planning to get her a beautiful one that I can wash and dry...UH, the 2 she has i shrunk...ACkkk, good thing I remembered from work at dry cleaners, how to stretch it back out. yikes, just not the same.
Well, I best be going, I have a busy day today.
Hope yours is good too.
Good Luck, Kathy, hope all goes well.
Morning Judy. Your not the only one that has shrunk sweaters. Hubby usually does the laundry here, and he refuses to sort colors, so what ever goes in the washer, then soap and bleach on everything. So I have learned that I hand wash all my stuff I don't want bleached or shrunk!
Jean, I hope Jim had a good birthday.
Judy, Happy birthday to your Sis. I know you miss her dearly.
Kathy, good luck in court.
Susan, sounds like your renters are just digging a deeper hole for themselves.
Pup did well at my friends house, he is back there today. I'm so lucky she doesn't mind babysitting for me! Betty, I hit 60 this year, so I don't think I'm very far behind anyone here, and probably ahead of many!! Young??? Not for many a year!!
Love that wreath with the candle in it!! Just gorgeous.
So envious of those of you who have the talent and patience to do these crafts. I got to see Judy's SnowLady block from Betty's craft group this year, and she is just adorable! I could just imagine trying to do anything with my crew at home! Everything would be everywhere!
Goodness I'm so far behind
Our trip went wonderful in NC, ate to much. Bought some beautiful pottery , rugs and some wooden utensils for my kitchen.
Susan sorry to hear your still struggling with those tenants
Sorry to not address everyone, I have to get back to house chores before I get to lazy and want to play all day lol.
Things have slowed down but project that were left on back burner are now in full swing .
Today is closets and laundry
just got a phone call from my lawter, court has been canceled!
