Snowmen are now dressed.
This is a table runner I made for DOL's mother. Fun to do. The gold trim is a bit costy but it's iron on and very nice to work with. One roll is more than enough for one runner but two rolls will make three runners.
Best/Worse/What did I Learn today?& Santa Warren Xmas Exchange
Omg Kathy, did they say charges were dropped or just a change in dates..sure hope whatever it is it benefits you.
Judy, you sure are one busy lady as well, you do your best when under pressure...you will feel better when you get all your Christmas treasures out.yes, my Santa Workshop is really busy, I enjoy that..told those girls Dec26th that Christmas was coming and they paid me no mind, now it's rush time. Lol. Did you do the blocks with the girls?
I've shrunk many a sweater, now if clothing isn't washer/dryer friendly it doesn't come home with me.
Sue nice to hear from you, can just imagine how busy you are with little ones..what are the hot ticket Christmas items this year? Remember the cabbage patch dolls? Have a story about that..
Well Deb, I'd have said you were in your 40's unless Judy photo shopped. Lol
So glad you decided to visit with Judy..now Judy is a traveller as you are, you will have to make a Canadian road trip, Judy will show you the way.
Lindakay, do you or Karen have that candle holder made up yet..busy right now but will take a look in a bit
Ouch, ouch nobody reminded me to be careful when using glue gun for Rita's wreath..not only 1 burn but 3.. Not that I wasn't careful but glue just dropped through the mesh.
You can tell it's a play day, I'm on a mission to find all those old candles, recycle them..found the pot I did candles with and now melting what I find..hmm perhaps I will end up with a few candles I can burn and keep the new ones for show..let's hope o don't burn the house down or worse yet, drop so,e on me
hurry hurry Santa Warren pressie's deadline is soon upon us
Kathy - why is court cancelled?
Oh Karen they turned out lovely, runner is spectacular..do you have a permanent pen for eyes?
You will make a couple of people very happy..when you give Christmas pieces do you give them early so they can enjoy the seeing them out for the festive season? I do
the judge is sick.
to my santa warren pal, please forgive my but my box didn't go out until today . i am so sorry.the good news is they said 3-4 daydelivery
I'm sure it's not a problem, Christmas isn't for 3 weeks, besides there are still a few to come in.
I was going back and looking at all the pretty things, why is it I could find Barb's goodies, I must be skipping a thread.
Candles are all melted..smells so nice in here, cinnamon and pine..even dipped pine cones to have more smellies
so Kathy, when's the new court date?
Karen, those are beautiful.
No sewing today. Just doing housework before my pain returns.
Sounds like you've had a brief reprieve rom pain Lindakay..what did you do differently?
must call and make perm appt for next week, then perhaps a nap before heading into town for a few things, girls don't get here till 7pm so that leaves plenty of time for browsing.
There are patterns for mittens made from felted (shrunk in the wash) sweaters. Would be very warm and pretty water proof.
they haven't notified us of a new court date yet
GOOD appointment :-)
All well with the incision, and he can now get it wet ..
Going to have the right hand done in March.
I was having a 'think' ..re Susan and her predicament.
What if you were to say you are going to SELL your home? Put it on the market, obviously with no intention of moving .. but, would that force Marcel the Moocher's hand ?
Helping DH make a banana loaf, want to get the dogs out first though .. it is GAWGEOUS here .. mid 40s F, and, S U N ~~~~~~~~

Marilynne - we'd still have to give them 3 month's notice. Even with a "for sale" sign.
Bob says, as he isn't the owner, I should sell it to him....... under his "maiden" name lol He was born "Lytle" and had his name changed legally by his step dad & mom, to MacKenzie.
We're taking an affidavit to appear, for the Constable that was in attendance on Sept 25th, and whom Marcel is claiming came for a B&E, is related to us, and acted in a racist bigoted manner, and that the police stop, follow and hang around (which had never happened before) their place.....
Betty, I went to urgent care a Tuesday for a torodol shot, they usually last 3 to 6 days.
"M", that is good news about Gord. Is he in pain with the carpel surgery?
Susan, just keep stacking up the proof you have, the judge will see it and laugh in their face.
My deepest apologies if I don't respond to other's good/bad news, successes/failures - I'm am just so overwhelmed by everything that I can't take anything else in.
Please know that I love and appreciate everyone here - you are my sisters of the heart..........
We listen, we learn, we empathize and, we feel your angst and anger .. but .. we also surround you with love and support, and, the constant reminder that this, too, shall pass ..
HUGS Susan

God bless Susan, we all understand!
How often can you get the shot Lindakay? Could you get one a few days before Xmas to see you through the holidays?
Can't believe how the stores don't seem to be busy, either they've all done their shopping or leaving it until dec24th
Got all I wanted..just put spaghetti in micro and girls will be here shortly so best I eat now
UPS says my present has been delivered hope my buddy likes what I sent. Check your doors for a package ladies!!!!!
Hmmm, could it be at my door?
Barb, I got your wonderful box of goodies. I will get pictures in a bit.
I love all you sent.
This is what I got from Barb. I got a beautiful table runner, and I am sure she made it. This will go on my coffee table tomorrow. I also got very nice hot pad, with pocket and matching hand towel. An awesome coffee cup, with Moose and info on it, and an assortment of hot chocolate for the cup. I will really enjoy these. She also sent me a beautiful blue angel to go with my collection. And an assortment of maple syrups from her State. They look really good. I will make waffles this week end.
Thank you Barb for an awesome box of gifts.
Oh wow, look at the goodies..love every item, beautiful runner, it will look lovely in your table.
Exciting isn't it!
Barb, lovely Santa Warren Christmas box
Just went and marked you off Lindakay and realized only 3 boxes left
I'm smiling, trying to guess who has who
I'm looking forward to seeing more of the boxes' contents :-)
Cool goodies Linda Kay.
That runner is really nice Barb.
Gee Betty, can't wait to see what you, Marilynne and Dianne get. You were right...the Santa Warren exchange is a neat way to get ready for Christmas.
Bob & I will be getting a Christmas hamper from Santa's Choice on Dec 8th. We pay regularly throughout the year for it, and it's a nice big food hamper
Due to the sudden death of our mailman .. if a parcel arrives via Canada Post I won't know until I physically 'make the journey' out to the main (ish) post office, I won't know if the package has arrived ..
Lorna and I are going shopping today, so, I know we'll go the distance :-)
LOVE your gifts LK ..I have a tree skirt from Barb under my pre lit tree .. it's just gorgeous .. and, I have your mice and tree with it . as well as the Snowman and the train :-)
Another gorgeous day in the offing ..wondering how Katie is making out with CA in such turmoil ..
Sharon .. have you had your cool weather yet ?
Best get a wiggle on

"m" that is such a sad thing about the mailman
Karen there is no snow here for 14 days, although nice sure don't want a green Xmas.
Do you have snow on the ground?
Linda called just before 7am as she was on the Penetanguishene site and a local made a song on our home town..a few of you have been to some of these locations..it's mostly photos of his family but some lovely area photos
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=u5Ucrv6gC1w
No snow here. Downstate got hit hard before Thanksgiving and we got a dusting but all is gone for many days.
That is a beautiful video Betty.
Has anyone heard from Shirley?
I did last Christmas, she actually sent me a beautiful gift
So miss her and tubby.
Just went and marked you off Lindakay and realized only 3 boxes left
I'm smiling, trying to guess who has who
My Santa Warren parcel will definitely going out tomorrow.
Been a long week here - lots of pain. The Doc gave me a sample of a drug that you are supposed to take as soon as you get your aura....... didn't work for me at all.

Dianne
Yesterday I started enjoying the Brazil nuts that are now available in the stores. It reminds me of my Dad, who passed away 30 years ago, this Dec 12th. Hardly seems possible that it's been that long. He'd have been 113 this year - born in 1902.......
He really would have liked Bob. Brazil nuts were one very special treat for my Dad & I.
Nice memories Susan..seems we get many of them this time of year..
Often wonder what memories our next generation will have of us..hope something stays with them as a favorite memory!
Dianne, sorry to hear you are in so much pain..migraines??
Remember when every few months I would be taken to hospital for a shot, just wanted to die migraines were so bad, I'd get a needle and someone would have to carry me to the car and I'd sleep the day awake then they would be gone for a bit.
I once had one trAvelling in the states, bought exedrin migraine, took a few and gone within hours
I now take one if I feel a headache coming on, sit for a tad and headache no longer.,never without them..last trip bought two boxes, always want a supply of them
Here is hoping the meds given will eventually work..am sure your Santa Warren partner will understand.
I take Tylenol 1 with codeine to sleep, and for headaches - no problem sleeping with them lol
Susan .. have heard of those hampers .. I think I even had an advert in the mail once .. do you have a website?
If I am Dianne's giftee .. I TOTALLY understand .. nothing worse than trying to accomplish stuff when you are feeling low, sick or tired out ..
OMG!! It's close to 50F here .. was out running with the dogs (see that LK, your new hip will letcha do that) had to take my light jacket off ..
Have a load of laundry in to hang out .. will stay out overnight, but, tomorrow is supposedly another banner day :-)
WELL .. Lorna and I pulled into the driveway and at the SAME time we both said 'SHOOT' .. we forgot to go to the post office !!! Turned the car around, and I looked at the time .. 1220 .. they close at 1230 !!!!!!!!!
So .. when we go to the dump tomorrow, we will go to the post office .. grrrrr ..
Got a fantastic deal at Mark's WorkWarehouse for DH .. a beautiful jacket, 40 % off ..with the savings I got him a sweater and some thermal socks .. just have to get him a book he has had his eye on and I am done, except for Lorna .. she also gets a jacket .. and DH and I bought her new flashy canes :-)
Best get the laundry on the line ..
I wish I knew Tubby .. he sounds like MY kinda guy :-)

I get migraines a few times a year. My Mom got them and they were so severe her Dr would give her Cafergot (Ergotamine tartrate and caffeine) and Seconal.
The side effects are nothing nice, and when my headaches started my Dr and I looked for alternatives. Since most migraines are "vascular" in nature, the blood vessels are over dilated, most of the meds taken are Vaso-constrictors and something for pain.
Good old fashioned ice packs and aspirin was our solution. Since discovering this method,
the number, severity and duration of my migraines has decreased considerably.
At the first visual traces, I drink a cup of coffee, take two enteric coated aspirin and take 4 of the flexible blue gel ice packs, close the blinds and curtains in my bedroom and settle in. One ice pack at the back of my neck and one on either side of my head just above the ear. The fourth ice pack is used to cover my eyes and rests against my forehead. Each ice pack is wrapped in a dry face cloth to protect the skin. Usually by the time the ice packs are warm, my headache is gone.
Dianne, Betty ,I can empathize with you both on how very painful the headaches are, and would suggest that you at least consider the ice packs when you feel one starting.
