Morning .. :-)
We have also been, will be, blessed with another gorgeous day .. likely hit 50F .. altho, the chimes are bonging out there, so, there's a wind, might be 45F .. either way, I'll take it !
SOunds as though the party was fun Betty .. and, I can imagine the outfit looked beautiful ..
OMG .. Cabbage Patch Dolls .. weren't they quite the rage .. I remember they came with a birth certificate ..
My friends on FBook are always talking about FROZEN .. one of them has purchased many a figure skating outfit for her granddaughters with that theme .. I have no clue .. should rent the movie :-)
The Parade was lovely .. only Lilly came with, Zoey hid, and Piper is just a 'buzz bomb' in the car ..
I'll endeavour to get a couple of the pics from the camera into DropBox .. I thank LK for that feature every time I use it :-)
Funny thing is, Lorna can't load it on her computer ..
Last bit of laundry today, will hang it outside, cooking a pork loin roast .. we are sticking to our big meal at 2pm .. maybe THAT'S what is making me have these outrageous dreams .. woke everyone again last night too .. shouting out, "Follow that Red car" .. hahahahaah
Sue, sorry to hear your fitness trainer is moving, sad circumstances ..
Good luck with the bed ..
Susan, what a wonderful pic of your BinL and sweet Nora .. a framer !!
Gonna grab a coffee .. even the dogs are sleeping in !!!

Best/Worse/What did I Learn today?& Santa Warren Xmas Exchange
Nicest part of the day isn't it "M when everything is still, no movement outside..put lights on on anything that lights up in the house, so serene..
Look forward to photo's of the parade..midland had their Santa Claus parade yesterday, would have been great standing, watching and not freezing.
Heading downstairs, watched a Xmas movie about 3:30am and there was a little girl in it, I had a 'ah ha' moment...the bag I made yesterday that is a tad too small can go next door, need to make another same size and the twins will have a Christmas gift.. Cut out mom's bag so off I go to sew
Betty yes I remember those toys. Sure glad I was never one of those parents who fought their way to get one for my kids lolol. Some of those parents were crazy lol.
S
Don't know what the new and exciting toys are this yr ??. Savannah wants clothes, Austin is happy with games for his xbox. Easy lol.
Warm weekend here, dogs are muddy.
Drop box ? Hmm I may look into that.
Oddest think, sun is shining and fog is rolling in
You are lucky Sue, that they aren't asking for moon and stars.
Just finished mom's purse/bag, turned out great, hope she likes sparkles as each design has sparkles.
Guess I was up so early my tummy thinks it's lunch so eating a pork samdwhich.
Aha! It's me!!!
Yes, I know I'm always missing...sorry.
I've been busy this week.
We had our first garden club Christmas party this past Tuesday. I've been helping Sherry decorate and get ready for it since it was at her house. It was very nice with a catered meal. Members brought appetizers and wine. One girl brought apple pie for dessert. We had a $15 gift exchange. Lots of cute gifts.
Wednesday I had my mammogram and a chiropractor appt. Thursday was a 4 hour cleaning job then off to the ortho surgeon with Sherry for another cortisone shot and to make arrangements for her knee replacement surgery (January 19th). Friday was another 4 hour cleaning job then off to meet up with Kathy, Sharon and Sherry to go to an open house at the Secret Garden....
OMG the food! We paced ourselves as we were going for a sandwich later. Then off to Waynesville the Antique capital of Ohio and a few shops there. Then a light supper and home to collapse!
Yesterday I helped my DD and DSIL with the cheerleading competition. I work selling clothing with the GWOC (Greater Western Ohio Conference) emblems. I was there at 7:30 to set up and left at 3:30 after repackaged everything. Whew! One beat camper here!! Made a full dinner and hit the couch! Today I've been taking it easy but since it's 50 out I'm going to go put triple phosphate on my hydrangeas.
I've read but as usual can't remember all I wanted to say. I'm hoping everyone is having a good day!!
good day, all - hope everyone is having a good one
That is.one heck of a schedipule Joyce, sure hope you can find time to relax a tad before Christmas..the garden events I'm sure we're great fun and of course great company.how is bill doing?
I was full steam ahead until 2pm..put oasis in the zinc and filled with water, made myself comfy on the couch while they soaked and just woke up
Drats guess the containers will have to wait until tomorrow, big sigh
Guess it's supper time, then clean the mess I made in the craft room
Finished mom's bag, got the metal piece out and realized I didn't have clear glass to replace the missing glass that was missing when I bought it ..remembered that I had old frames in the back shed, although it was non glare glass it was the perfect size...needs decorating now
Few sleighs to decorate as well
Hung baskets
Betty - did you ever do one of those Snowman Wreaths? bwahahahahaha
Joyce, you are one busy lady, but, you sound happy :-)
Lotsa good food anyway .. ..
You've been busy too Betty .. lovely crafts ..
I've been doing my usual. finally sat down and said "ENOUGH" ..
Certainly am loving the awesome temps are making HYDRO ELECTRIC unhappy, and me VERY happy .. was able to hang clothes out and NOT use the dryer!
I'll do it during the week as well now that I know the laundry will dry thoroughly ..
Dianne .. how's your headache? Hope you're doing OK ..
How are the TH .. our guys are SO enjoying the NO snow .. well .. all except Lilly .. she LOVES to roll in it ..
Hey Barb ..baked with you yesterday :-)
LK, how are you doing?
Wondering re Sharon and Katie ...
Night night ..

M, Frozen is a wonderful movie. you should see it. I bet you'd love it. I am a Disney fan. Lady and the tramp is my all time fav. then beauty and the beast, tied with peter pan!!
Cabbage patch kids are still popular, and still come with birth certificates.
everybody wants pie in the face game !!!
I am working and sewing and cleaning house...
Hugs to Y'all
oh yes - Frozen is a great movie - has some twists and turns that are totally unexpected
Betty, you make me tired, just reading all you do.
Well, the toradol has worn off. I am going to try and wait till just before Christmas, to help me when my boys are here.
GOOD mORNING
Will have to rent 'FROZEN" .. I, too, really enjoy Lady and the Tramp, and, BAMBI :-)
Never had a Cabbage Patch Kid .. but, was on the buying end of a small doll called 'FURBY" here in Canada .. drove all the way to Winnipeg just to purchase 2-3 in 1997 ..
It was a cute little doll/toy ..looked like a Troll, but furry ..
Not sure if my plans will mesh today for shopping .. Lorna was up half the night .. about every 3-4 months, her stump takes on a life of its own .. LOTS of nerve pain, and, it literally JUMPS off the bed at intervals .. not nice to watch someone go through, and, taking meds is so hit or miss .. I think she is about ready to try 'medical marijuana' .. at any rate, I think she'll be sleeping late.
Best get some cereal happening .. twigs n bark ..
Have a wonderful day :-)
~M~
Morning all,
High of 41 here today..know you southern state think we are crazy bragging about our weather but Lordy had about 4 feet of snow last year at this time..checked 14 day forecast, unless something changes much the same weather as now..will be hard though for those going to work this morning, fog advisory is on
Lindakay, I can do wonders until about 2pm then that's it, I'm done for..
Thunder bet you are counting the days, you will have a full house right?
Haven't seen Frozen either, we should have a Frozen night, get movie and popcorn. Lol
Chrissy dmailed me, said she is doing fine, can't access the thread but will soon
Not good at all, poor Lorna, so much to contend with.
Maybe you should venture out on your own and just enjoy browsing, people watching and the weather as who knows when that white stuff will be in your neighborhood and besides its nice to have some alone time.
I've seen Frozen enough times I know the dialog pretty well and can sing along. LOL It was last Christmas I made the Elsa dresses for two of the greats. It still seems to be a big thing as Amelia wants a sing along Elsa and Sweet Caroline wants the ice palace and several of the characters.
.
You are so lucky Karen to have wee ones
Ahhh to shop in the toy department, what fun that will be.
Finished the metal/glass container, got the stand and box on front deck, Drats no 's' hook..on the list of shopping items
Should I come across more needed items will take a run into midland.
What I hope is my final appointment for my Mexican resaidency permit is in one hour. Pray nothing goes wrong.
I've been plagued by lost car keys but will accept that as being better than car accidents, etc.
Will catch you all up when I get home, which should be in two or three days if all goes well.
Hanging in and missing all of you.
hugs, katie
Hugs to you, Katie - our prayers are with you as you go for your residency permit
From my lips to God's ears re your meeting Katie ..
Also throwing in a prayer to St Anthony re your keys ..
Well .. the trip to town was thwarted .. Lorna slept in, and I sure didn't feel like going to town and racing back for dinner, so, I think we might go in AFTER 2pm ..
I napped as I had a headache, nothing like a migraine headache, just a plain old run of the mill 'stress' headache ..
"S" hooksI have Betty ..
And we had fog today as well .. 'hoar frost' too
https://www.google.ca/search?q=hoar+frost&hl=en-GB&rls=DDCA,DDCA:2007-42,DDCA:en-GB&biw=1366&bih=673&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj6o5fioMrJAhXMoIMKHc9BAbIQ_AUIBigB
Thinking it might have been slippy on the roads too ..

Sending prayers Katie..glad you checked in..
Ask St. Anthony, patron of lost objects to help you find the keys.
Heart is beating, one of Roger's cousins just called to ask how Greg was, thought maybe he was in an accident this morning, no, heard he was diagnosed with terminal cancer..took me seconds to call Greg, asked if was ok, yes, you wouldn't lie to me would you? No
He said 'mom, did I look terminally ill a few days ago when I put up your tv?' No but then I experience a hubby who looked good, not been to a doctor in a few years and he got sick at this time of year and died 3 weeks later...so he said he'd drop in or if I was going to town to please drop in to his shop, still working on pizza oven..think I'd feel better seeing him.
As it happens one of his workers who has been fighting cancer had major surgery last weeks..his name is Roger so guess between the name Roger, Fred Hooks it somehow got mixed up..sigh of relief for me and prayers for the young man fighting the battle of his life.
Took a break from florals, have 3 more to do and went in search of pieces of scrap fabrics to make the 2nd bag for the twins next door..if I don't decide to nap it will be done this aft
We cross posted "M". I see we are both strong believers in St. Anthony..
Fatality in Toronto this morning..a friend call to tell me it took him 3 1/2 hrs to get to work as it was right at the corner of where his office is..I said that poor individuals family would so love a 3 1/2 hr delay..he totally agreed
Forgot to mention I met Roger's cousin Tom in Meaford early October, he asked if I could make him a stained glass window..told him to come over and we would pick, today he calls and wants 2.. His wife uses the car so he has no wheels during the week and it's a surprise so not sure how we will work that.
Safe travels Katie
Even though I don't have anything pressing to do except final touches to another table runner, I'm telling any who ask, Sorry I can't commit for anything until after Christmas. Feeling good and don't want any stress.
I am here early because at the end if the day I just cannot get on here.
Vern has a spinal tap scheduled for Friday, which means a blood test on Thursday. But nothing else going on. I will go grocery shopping while he is having the spinal tap.
Our weather got down to low 30s and then moved right back up. By tomorrow we are suppose to be in the 70s and then head back down.
I have searched this house everywhere for my mother's tree skirt she knitted me. I put it someplace to be safe. I am going to be so happy when I find that space because so many things are there. Heheheh.
I did another bouquet from the greenbelt greenery and my roses. Probably have one more to go and then the roses are done for the season. This is their last blooms. But still a lot of rose buds not open yet.
Vern is not up yet and the pups and I are just sitting here. I ordered another dress for the wedding which is in less than 2 weeks. That will make three. But two of them are dresses I can wear during the day and one is an evening dress but causal evening.
Betty, I bet that frightened you big time. So blessed it was a mistake. All of your greenery look fabulous.
My cousin that had bile duct cancer died Wednesday. Lived a little over 2 years after diagnosis.
They kept him alive and thriving with shunts from the bile duct into the liver but after two years there was place left to put the shunt. He only lasted 3 days after the bile stopped flowing and that was a total blessing. He had no chemo. They had been married 64 years. Do not ever remember Cousin Liz without Cousin Ray. He was 83.
Here in Las Vegas we have killed 4 pedestrians in 3 days. OH MY, one was a 92 years old woman, crossing after dark, not in a cross walk, across a 6 lane very busy street where the speed limit is 45mph.
Marilyn, please tell Lorna she has my prayers and blessings for her pain to diminish. She is such a strong young lady and so blessed to have you and Gord in her life. Your posts sound more upbeat and that is a good thing. it will be wonderful when the new year is here and all of Gord's procedures are behind you and February, except for the cold, will be a pleasant beginning of a great year.
My cat, Peanut, tangled up with something and had a large tear on her side. It had been there probably about 2 days before I found it. I was petting her and thought it was a stick or something caught in her fur. I took her to the Vet the next day. It had already abscessed so it made the cleanup easier. But she has a large area of fur shaved off, a 12 day antibiotic shot and on and on and a bill for $186. I try to keep her inside and when Vern lets the dogs out or in, out goes the cat. The Vet gave me the "Look" when asked if she was an outside cat. So when I showed Vern the bill, he has decided I can let the dogs in and out.
Katie, i do not understand what you need to do to live in Mexico. Maybe you can tell us when you get home to Mexico. I dream ll the time I have lost my car keys, cannot find my purse, cannot find my car. Book says those dreams are caused by frustration.
I am still having workers finishing up the rental so we can get it on the rental market. I went to Lowe's the other night to get a key made. Around 5:30pm. The parking lot was so dark when I came out, I was actually scared. Way to many places for :the bogey man to hide. I promised myself I would never do that again.
Karen, your family members will treasure your home made items for the rest of their lives.
Today's agenda is to get smog on Vern's car so I can renew the license plate and wash the dogs. I did laundry yesterday so just need to fold that. I did the laundry last night.
I made the pot roast again yesterday. Having it for dinner tonight. Again, it is delicious.
Susan, i am just holding my breath until your court date and no more surprises.
Funny thing happened yesterday. I discovered I was 73. I was doing some work, said I was 72 and placed my date of birth in the computer an it told me I was 73. Totally missed my birthday this year. I do know I was remembered by my family, I guess I just did not register it in my brain.
This is the bouquet I made from cutting from the greenbelt. The roses are from my garden. I need to find something Christmas to put in it.
Finished the extra tote bag I needed for the twins..makes 3 in a few days, Lordy I have these bags down pat..takes double the time when you are trying to use up scraps, that's ok, makes for an almost free gifts.
Sharon, I did the roast yesterday..was supper last night and tonight, likely tomorrow night as well...Lordy it's yummy, gravy over mashed taters, peas and beef..thought I'd get at least a meal put in freezer but not, I had seconds. Lol
You have so much going on Sharon..a worry for sure with Vern, must zap his energy having these spirals. Wow 2 more weeks then the wedding, you will be wedding'ed out..always nice to get new clothes..Lordy that outfit I wore Saturday was ancient and yet timeless, forgot all about it so felt like a new outfit.
That is a gorgeous bouquet..are you finding as we are that the weather pattern is much different this year? So laughing about the hiding place, do the same here..sure wish I kept a log as to where I hide things.
Sorry to hear about your cousin, am sure he is at peace now.
Greg was saying the young lad at his shop had much taken out in efforts to continue living, will be hard road for him.
Poor Peanut, Missy is wondering why she can't go out but worried about the fishers, a, sure that is what did Riley in.
Think I need a hot chocolate, wish I had a candy cane to stir it with..
oh Betty - how scary is that, that you heard Greg was terminal, and then to find out it was a mistake!!!!!!! PHEW!!!
Court date is 1 week today, and by now I should know.... I hope? They cleared the whole afternoon, and this would only be 1 1/2 hours into the Hearing.......
Marcel is still yammering about the toilet not flushing, but he hasn't told this to Health & Safety and they've been there since he started in about it. They would be someone he would tell if this was the truth, and I advised him to say something to them but he hasn't. More Lies? I think so.....
Just shaking my head Susan..no words..other than it being a nightmare!
Booga Booga :-)
Hiya ..
LAZY day here, went outside with the dogs once, spent the majority of the day doing Christmas cards ..
Never did get to town, poor Lorna was just exhausted after her sleepless night .. actually, so was I as I kept running to her room to try to help here .. finally resorted to valium, and, that's why she slept in, BUT, the stump stopped jumping ..
Sharon .. you are too kind re Lorna .. she is without a doubt an inspiration ..
We can put a man on the moon, but, can't conquer 'phantom pain' ..
Your flowers are beautiful.
So sorry to hear about Peanut .. good to hear you will be the one to let the dogs out ..
Susan ..prayers in your court ...
Betty, what a heart sinker re the rumour about Greg .. gads .. so happy it's not so !
Dianne .. how are ya ?
~M~
lol stupid tenants - they are saying that we cancelled their internet / tv acc't
What I did was, just before the hearing on Nov 27th, I called on Nov 25, explained that we may or may not move to the address. They told me that the tenant's acc't would not be cancelled if we cancelled the move.
I cancelled the move on Nov 27th after the Hearing did not take place.
On Nov 30th Marcel emailed asking why we cancelled their acc't - apparently they got disconnected. Telus would have called them and asked if the move was cancelled or going forth. They obviously did not phone to say they were not moving.
I'm on the phone with Telus, getting them to email me with the process, showing that they allowed their acc't to be cancelled. Apparently we, as building owners, are allowed (by Telus) to cancel their acc't LOL go figure.........
Good evening everyone. I had to get up early and drive to San Antonio for my regular mammogram, and it took forever to get back home. Just popping in to say hello, and good night. Will catch up on everything going on tomorrow.
What a pickle Susan..
Hope you and Lorna gets a good night's sleep tonight!
Lindakay that is one heck of a trip to take in one day..not a wonder you are tired..feel badly about not following through with posting the birthday corner..not sure why it completely slipped my mind..just so embarrassed..always pride myself in doing what I'm asked...big sigh
Greg dropped in for an hour..was nice chatting and laughing..said he ordered more supplies for his wood fire pizza stove so was taking it easy tonight but as promised knew he'd best drop in so mom could have a look at him.
Tomorrow is Jeff's birthday, will have to call early
Calling it a night..girls come tomorrow so it's up and at it in the morning..will have to tidy up that craft room..I should have a maid that tidies up after me in the room..never stays clean long
Well, up and ready to take another run at going into the city As far as I know, Lorna slept well.
She's still not up, but that's OK
Will have to scope put that Santa's Choice website ..
Betty, happy birthday to Jeff .. and, HOORAY that Greg is well and fit .. a scare like that you never need.
ANOTHER record breaking day on the way here in the temperature dept ..
Ski hills are hurting, and, any folks with new Snow Machines (Ski doos) are praying for snow as their passes are bought and sitting idle.
The Motorcycles are still on the roads ......
Best get some porridge made.
BBL
~M~
Morning all,
High of 41 expected today , forecast predicts rain, odd flurry 2 days right up until the 22nd..like you "M" family and friends are disappointed..last year they had 6 weeks of winter fun under their belts.
Glad Lorna is feeling better and up to shopping today..enjoy!
Girls come in an hour me I'm still in Jammies, need to get the garbage out so on the run
Gab in a bit
Can't sleep........ Keep thinking of the mess that Marcel & Carolyn will leave....
They've taken down the curtain rods, dismantled the stand & rain barrel, the wooden steps I used to display my plants out front, and the farm table I had out back as a potting table, all to put in the back yard as "waste".
And of course they complained that the hot water was "intermittent", the furnace was working (Health & Safety checked and it heats to 26c and only needs to heat to 22c), the toilet doesn't flush (never told Health & Safety, so that's a lie), that the electrical covers aren't on (she took them off, to paint and never put them back), and who knows what else..........
It's 34F here now, so not bad
Looking forward to the Santa's Choice boxes today :-)
Marilynne - if you decide to go with Santa's Choice, let me know, and I'll put your name forth, and we'll both get $50! Chance to win $500 too!!!
Morning everyone. Susan, I hope you get the basket soon, it sounds like a nice idea to pay into and then have it delivered.
I took my Vicodin and ambien at 9, went to bed and crashed, and woke up at about 2, rolled over a few times and went back to sleep.
Katie, sending prayers for you. I pray you can get all your paper work done soon, so you can get back home soon!
Sharon, sending prayers your way as well. I know spinal taps are not fun! You have beautiful flowers.
My roses are just about done blooming too. I need to go out and trim them back for the year.
Susan, when do you go to court?
I took something to sleep, but then couldn't....... oh well, maybe nap in the afternoon.
Court is next Monday, Dec 14th, at 1:30pm
