Suite 314 Sweet Interruptions

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Jaye - I'll just Bet he was quiet - he's the reason for your high BP.....
Glad your Dr's nurse and pharmacists are caring!!!

I"m back on hydromorph, and it's an expensive drug ($80), but I only pay $24 because of our senior health plan, and also got my regular meds - total of $36. Not bad, considering what I mich have paid........
I'm feeling a little dozy, but the pain in my knees is much lessened, so I'm happy :-)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

my dearest jaye,
so sorry about last night, but there is alway's nextyear. what doesthis make "5"?
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to have some of my big toenail removed, because I've developed a fungus under it, from when I stubbed it in May. It started hurting like it was bruised, two months ago. It's pretty black, but with the fungal cream it should be fine.

I'm on pins & needles for next Sunday when our tenants are supposed to move out and I don't know if they will. Would be nice to know where we'll be sleeping that night...... I so desperately want to be out of here....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have had several toenails removed. It's going to be sore for a few days, but it will grow back.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me, good luck with it.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I was wondering if it would grow back...... thanks for telling me, LK

Yeah, I know, Karen - but removal of my toenail will make me feel better, I'm sure.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Hubby had toe nails removed and they did grow back, so doctor tried to kill the roots with a second session and nails grew back. Grew back in the same condition as before. We thought he would have normal nails.

My friend's hubby is on hospice now. She told me he isn't afraid to die because he knows he will go to heaven. What a great attitude!. She has church people who come by and that helps a lot. Then she found out another friend of hers has colon cancer, my God will it ever end. What a bitter end to this year.

Susan I hope you will be in your own place soon. Hoping everyone is doing well.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear about your friends Pegi, will keep them in our prayers.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Nice to hear from you Jaye. Glad to hear you are getting blood work done.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

thnks lk.
it feels strange walking out w/out paying

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Jaye - glad to know you're getting your bloodwork done - it's good
What's oral lamasil?

I went and got my toenail partially removed - he gave me 3 freezing needles and it didn't "take" so had to give me a "top up" 4th. It always does take a lot of freezing for me - teeth, and now I find out, toes too. lol the Dr said "is this the day you get your toe removed?" lol
Bob didn't want to go with me, but I told him he had to - I needed him there when I got the needles (OUCH!!!!!). Now when I walk, it feels like I'm missing one toe lol it's so weird.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Those numbing shots are the worst part of it.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

yeah, that's what the Dr said - the worst part.......!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Friends!!

Finally got supplement medical insurance now I can move forward with diagnostic mammo and a complete physical yak!!!

Been really busy finishing up with candles, will be setting up this Thursday afternoon. Will be glad when it's over, lol Then on Dec 10th I will have a table in Old Town Auburn for a Christmas craft fair for 4 hrs.

We got some very much needed rain and SNOW!!!! And looks as if we will get more rain next Monday. According to El Nino reports next month is going to be very wet!

Our daycare is getting smaller :( They are either moving away or their mommies are opening a daycare. My daughter is not going to advertise openings because after the New Year we will be getting some more babies ugh lol

Hope you all have a great day!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

good morning, everyone!

Cindy - glad you've gotten supplemental!! Moving forward is always good :-)

Well, my toe doesn't feel bad at all - must be my regular pain meds keeping it at bay :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Cindy. I sure hope you have lots of luck with your candle sales.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Guess what? Bob got a call from his last job, ServiceMaster, and they have 2 cheques waiting for him!! Comes to $1400+....... now we can move & pay our tenants, and feel a little solvent. Here's hoping that the tenants move on Sunday......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is awesome news Susan!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

yes, seeing as how they've already reported it to EI, it's not causing us any additional grief, now we have the $$ lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Anyone want a baby rattlesnake? Todd found two while cleaning up the carport area. All coiled up, the size of a half dollar.

Just dropping to hello
I will pass on the snake lol
Hope everyone is doing well. Sending prayers to everyone.
Apple orchard is slowing down. Only 12 hrs a week, that is go with me , my body can't take much more lolol
Great news on the two cheeks Susan.
Not to much going on here in these woods. Same old same old

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I am happy to see you Sue!!! Do those mantras and reenergize your spirit. May this fall be less tiresome for you than your hectic summer! Love to the kids, and I've seen how they've grown so much!!

Let me address LK next. You dear sister can keep those babies!! Nope, don't need anymore cat foes in the yard, My cats have been clearing this area of garden snakes and moles.

Susan, seems God withheld those checks for the right moment. That is good news.

Happy sales Cindy girl. Yikes snow?
Nope, don't want that S word here. How is your mum?

Still ill here, using Kel's laptop as my keyboard went beserk on me. What's with my luck lately.. still thankful though I am getting medical help.
Anyway, doctor had prescribed oral Lamasil a few months back, as topical antifungal ointments don't work for me. I suffer serious fungal issues on both feet, affecting all toes and up to my ankles.
There's a tube that costs eighty big ones, prescribed, and that didn't work.
Doctor was reluctant to prescribe oral, but after so many years he took the risk hoping it won't mess with my other meds. So far, my feet now are not angry red looking any more and I know the toenails will take some time to return to normal. Been growing irregular, hardening and shedding abnormally now. It's been this way for fourteen years ever since I quit the mill.
My feet were exposed to wet chemicals at the mill.
I don't have the luxury to wear sandals nor open toed shoes.

The three dogs that had driven away a couple of cats are picked up by their owner. Hope they stay penned in.
I now can release FIVE out of the house!! Lolol. Somehow, Kelvin is reluctant to do so, and he wanted me to wait another day.
Oh well, he's on shit duty anyway.

Prayers go out for all,

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Amazingly, my toe is still not bothering me.......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

The snake has been disposed of.

Jaye, I pray the lamasil works for you.

Susan, nice to hear your toe is not bothering you.

Hey Sue, nice to see you pop in.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Been busy, knitting for the church Craft Fair, on Saturday, and for a new baby-to-be on Dec 10th.
Making a baby blanket.

Mailynne - here's sitting with you, while you're sitting with Gord.

lol Glad the snake is gone.

Hey Sue - see you posting on FB - glad to hear from you here

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

Today I set up for the Holiday Boutique. I have 175 candles made up :) Sure would be nice if I could sell them all

It has been very chilly here, brrrrr went out to get fire wood and the windshields are froze over. We are to get more rain and snow this Sunday and Monday but we are still below normal.

Have a great day!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

175 candles?!?! wow - you've been one busy beaver!! Good for you :-)
When people see that many, they're going to see a choice, and I'm sure you'll see them. People like to see that a Company is industrious, so I know you'll do well. All the best at the Holiday Boutique.

It's 27F here......... talk about brrrrrrrrr

Our tenant is so ridiculous - he's quoting BC tenancy law to us, when we live in Alberta......what a "maroon" lol Obviously we won't be moving on Sunday, and will need to take this to court. That could be 2 to 3 weeks for the hearing, but when the judge makes his decision, it will be 1 or 2 days (at most) for a bailiff to move them out.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sure hope you can get things settled quickly.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Marcel has some gall. He's invited me to a Google Conversations page.... a few weeks ago he asked to join my LinkedIn network (site for professionals - re: jobs & careers)

I do not reply to him online, the phone, or in person. I will not engage in any type of conversation with him, or Carolyn.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

In the 70's during the day with lots of sunshine. Nights are chilly, but I can live with that. Cindy seems to be having all the rain and none coming our way. When El Nino hits I'll probably be complaining of too much rain.

My friend is finally coming to terms that Wes will be leaving her very soon. She fought a hard battle for him trying to get him into holistic healing, but no one could help. He is getting company from friends & church people which helps her too.

Got to get busy and find a knitted slipper pattern for my brother. Years ago I made so many pair of slippers for family and it had a nice cuff on it, but now that my brother's feet are so swollen and so needs another pair of slippers, so wondering just where to start looking since I haven't done and knitting or crocheting for way over a year. Looking on the Internet and there are so many patterns out there.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Pegi, perhaps these will be of use to you.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Whew!!! I got all 175 candles displayed. They are all over the house, living room, master bath, guest bath and kitchen lol. I will take pictures tomorrow. All of the vendors had not shown up yet so it was still a little empty. There were a lot of home made jellies and jams, candies, jewelry, bath bombs (oh man they smelled awesome) baby things. One lady took old cupboard doors and "antiqued" them wrote things on them $50!!! I put more work into my candles than she did these doors, lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Back home from seeing the surgeon. Hip replacement surgery is the 22 of February.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh Linda, so wish it was going to be sooner.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hope it works for you LK, I think I am looking at the same thing :( My left hip has been hurt so bad I haven't been able to take Harlee walking and she's getting bored. Will talk to my doctor about it Monday

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I took the first available appointment. I know it will be here soon, just not soon enough for me.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Why is it that the older we get, the more impatient we become for the things we really need?
There doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency about anything anymore.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Wish I knew.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh my goodness I forgot to you all.................. I got a phone call yesterday morning from the Woman's Imagine Center to come for a mammogram........I was there for two hours!!! First they did diagnostic mammo then a sonogram and they found NOTHING!!!! The lump in my arm pit went away and my mammo was normal WHOO HOOO!!!! I bawled like a baby when they told me that. I said Thank YOU GOD!!!! and told them how I had been praying day and night that I would be ok. Now to get time to get my lower back and left hip looked at and taken care of. I haven't been able to use my hot tub because it's been so cold and it won't heat up. So I asked some of my guy friends for advice. One told me to get some old pallets and make a platform to sit it on then build a wall around it. So we will see what I can do, not having a man around that knows what he's doing it's going to take me awhile to get this done, and winter will be over by then lol.

Today is the first day of the Holiday Boutique, then this evening is Girl's Night it will be fun. I have some friend's coming that I have not seen in over 15 yrs or more and they just live a half hour drive from me. Time for me to get out and start making connections with old friends.

Hope you all have a great day!
