Nice picture of you and little batman!
Sorry to hear your Mom is not well. Praying she will get better soon.
Suite 314 Sweet Interruptions
Thanks LK,
Hopefully my pot of Home Made Vegetable soup will do the trick ;)
JT is cute!! Cindy homemade vege soup will heal your mother's cold for sure.
Don't overwork yourself. You'd end up making another pot just for you.
Oh no Susan, they really had no other recourse but to use their one year old?? How pathetic!
Folks, for the first time in fifteen years, Ida took me out shopping and a treat at ChickFil A
I can't say no!! We went to Hobby Lobby and boy was she chatty.
She had taken my sister out years ago, not inviting me to come along.. but I wasn't upset. For Ida was superficial then and she rather have Zi for a DIL.
Guess it took Kel's idiocy for her to realize I AM gold!!
Kel is still out of town, he texted us both to have a good time, and we both ignored him.
Something she told Kel that never got back to me. She told him that if he chose to leave and go elsewhere, she believed that I will find another man as I am still attractive, and she pray that that man will take care of her too. For she doesn't want me to leave.
She said, Kel gave her a weird look and walked away!
That's truly funny.
LK, I told her too about you helping Lola :D She has the same questions as I do as to where he disappears to, and why no money.
We believe that he's in a bigger mess than we think and that turned him into one sorry son!
He cusses at her too plus the lies.
After the outing, I went ahead and spent a couple of hours with Sis Carolyn, She can't believe the change in ida!
Good night sistahs., and brother Ernie (who has his number?)
I am in a better place than a year ago. Thank you all so much for your loving support and prayers.
Ernie is in the hospital. He is diabetic and had a sore on his foot that would not heal, so he had to have surgery on it. Keep him in your prayers please?
That is serious.
Thanks for that info, LK.
Sweet Dreams Jaye.
oh no........ Ernie - hear me - I am praying for you and your foot. Dear Lord - please heal Ernie and send him back home quickly, to his bride.
We got home awhile ago, from serving our tenants their 2 week notice.
We took my cousin, Cher, with us and he asked her "are you representing the City Of Calgary?" She said "no, I do not represent the City of Calgary". She was wearing a jacket that said "RCAC, City of Calgary". RCAC is Royal Canadian Air Cadets, and she wears this jacket at this time of year, with her poppy, because of Memorial Day coming up (Veterans Day, to those of you in the US). She's proud to have been in the Forces and wears the jacket proudly.
Marcel called and said "You idiots - because the person with you was trying to represent the City Of Calgary, we called the police and they will be investigating this."
I told him, you asked if she was representing the City Of Calgary, and she said "no, I am not representing the City Of Calgary". He hung up on me. lol he recorded the whole thing, so if he listens to it he will find out that HE'S the idiot........
Oh no poor Ernie,
My late father in law, had a sore on his toe. His toe was black, I told my husband that it was not a good sign. He and his mom ignored it for so long that they had to amputate clear to the knee. needless to say.......he died a month later....he was a diabetic
I was a CNA for 22 years and saw a lot of this in the elderly
Happy Halloween!!!
Oh Dear I hope Ernie gets the proper treatment. There are wound care centers that specialize in just this. My dear friend lost her leg and then her life because of improper wound care.
Only time I am barefoot, is in the shower.
Doctor's orders. Hard covering, socks in bed.
Prayers for Ernie, hope they get that sore healed up for him. My niece has a disease called charcot and she had a sore that wouldn't heal at one time too. She is not diabetic and circulation is good. Hope they got that nasty infection, she is really upbeat and told us not to worry about her. I'm sure she will do just fine.
Went early for our walk with the dogs because of Halloween. I had a bag of candy in my freezer and when that is gone I'm turning out the lights. Lots more decorations went up in the neighborhood. I'm not into the holiday, but enjoyed seeing all the cute things people put up on their lawns.
My DGD Amanda got her first double play today. A buck and a doe with bow. Was also her first buck with a bow.
good for her!!!
CCongrats on the doe and buck.
No trick or treaters this Halloween. I was all prepared too. Busy with my new toy (Bissell shampooer) I think some places will need a second run through . Just can't let it get so dirty. It was so hard to use the Hoover and I couldn't do much at one time. In the meantime watching a few Christmas movies on Hallmark. The time change has me really confused, always take me a while to get used to it.
Hope all is doing well, thinking of Ernie today and hoping he is doing OK. My friend is still trying to get her hubby into holistic healing. Costs a small fortune, but if they can help him she is willing to put the money out. Just too bad there isn't a sure cure for them.
We didn't get any trick or treaters - our door is off the back yard, so no one came here. Didn't expect any anyway.
I'm wondering how Ernie is, too. Hope everything is going well
The surgery did not work for Ernie. The are going to try to take a vein from his good leg, to replace the bad one and pray it works.
Sending Thoughts and Prayers for Ernie.....
Good Morning Friends! We are getting some very much needed RAIN...it rained off and on all day yesterday and all through the night. LOL I was going to sit in my hot tub but no dry place for slippers or robe, hmmm gonna need to put the pop up over it I guess.
Today is going to be a very NOISY day, the kids won't be able to play outside ugh
Glad to hear you are getting much needed rain!
You can send some rain our way, Cindy. It is in the 60''s now and I love it. I imagine if we get really cold days I'll be complaining.
Sorry the surgery didn't work for Ernie, Pray that the new vein takes care of the problem. Hope you aren't in pain today, LK. Yesterday was a good day for me, but as usual I didn't get much work done.
Not too much pain, just tenderness on the bruise. It will heal, just takes time.
Has anyone else had problems logging in to DG? I tried for 30 minutes, it kept telling me I was forbidden to enter?
Darn your DGD is good, Karen! With a bow? Wow!! Not many men can brag about that. Kudos Amanda!
Serious prayers for our brother Ernie. Hope the vein transplant works.
I have an extra vein that goes to my heart, I forgot where it came from must be from my breast? .. but that keeps extra blood going.
I think his addy is listed on the exchange, I am sure Linda and him would appreciate cards of encouragement.
Raining here too, Cindy and the mosquitoes will have more breeding grounds as the temps aren't fall like anymore. The cats have no choice, good weather or bad, they're indoors now, even the ones I plucked from outside
Have you checked on alternatives, LK? I hate to know you are in constant pain as active as you are.
WHat's the latest Susan? Did any cops visited you yet on that false representation of a city official?? Lolol.. your tenants are given more than enough rope to hang themselves.
Yes, sadly, holistic doesn't mean free and cheap. Majority of the time, the treatments they offer consist of 90 percent digging deep down within yourself to have faith and believe.. mind over matter.. and the 10 percent herbal remedies.
Pegi, I hope Wes' bride will find some semblance of hopeful success/
Asswipe is home. So far so good.
Great day today to do nothing outside which is good, as my back starts acting up. Hehehe..

I hope Ernie's next surgery "takes'.... Prayers for him
I just came from lunch with my friend Judy - we worked together for more than 2 years - what a sweetheart.
We haven't heard anything further from our tenants, or from the police lol
We're giving them enough rope to hang themselves. I'm sure their lawyer is telling them that they haven't a "leg to stand on" GOOD!! Any one of the reasons we gave for eviction would stand on its own. All three is a real killer for the tenants and the lease.
I just hope, when we determine that we can move back, that we can do it in a couple of days. It's going to be tough, but I do want back home.
Our landlords are giving us until mid-December to move out. This will give us breathing room - bless them!!

Defoe/Bonnie in another group has been updating us on Ernie. She posted this yesterday afternoon.
Talked to Linda and Ernie (for just a little bit) The surgery hasn't given the desired results, but they are hoping that it will improve. Not in time for the offending wound. It is on his right toe, and they are amputating that toe tomorrow with yet another surgery. They didn't know what time the surgery is scheduled for, so I will wait until tomorrow afternoon to call and try to get an update. Ernie, said, instead of cards SEND MONEY! I think I will still choose to send a card, as I don't think the $1.00 I would spend for the card would go very far in paying those bills.

Thanks Linda. I went to that blog and there are so much reading to wade through to find mentions of brother Ernie.
Yes, he will be drained of his savings with another surgery. Better an amputated toe than a leg.
Sorry to say, that is what happened to my Dad, started with a sore on the toe that would not heal, they tried to replace the vein, but it did not work, so they amputated the toe, then another one, and finally had to amputate the leg to just above the knee. But he is doing really good.
I am so sorry to hear about Ernie's required amputation..... it must be so scary for him!
Prayers being said.
Prayers from me as well.
I am pre-diabetic, guess that means borderline, so have to find out how to keep it from getting any higher. Doctor said normal range, but guess I better talk to him about it.
Cooler weather is so welcomed here. Hope it stays this way. On Nov. 14th they are having a meeting in city hall about El Nino and how it will affect us. Guess I should go and find out more about it.
Ernie had his surgery yesterday, now they will move him to a nursing home till he can walk by himself.
Jaye has no computer. Her modem went out. Hopefully Kel can get it fixed or a new one soon.
I pray that Ernie's stay at the nursing is short.
I thought that he was always in a wheelchair?!?!?!
oh, poor Jaye! We're just heading out, but I'll call her when we get back.
He could walk until he got that sore on his toe.
ok, I just remember him saying that he'd fallen once (or more) out of the wheelchair. That was months ago, I thought
Yes, he has had this sore for a long time.
Good morning family.
I am sad over brother Ernie's current health state. What LK said is true, Have relatives that went through the same 'hope'.
Yet, I am thankful that he will have excellent care and support.
Kel borrowed a modem from his friend, had it installed last night and I can't use the phone.
Yep.. somehow.. this modem needs a DSL cord which the CenturyLink modem just use an ordinary telephone cord.
So.. when it's plugged in.. it usurps the energy of the house phone.
It will ring, but bad static when I try to answer and nothing at the other end. Plus, to call out, like I had to this morning, I have to unplug the modem!
He doesn't want to call the phone complany for replacement. That's fine with me, a few unpluggings when he's around will disrupt his online chatter. Lol.
Confirmed dcctor's appointment this morning.
Yay!!
You all have a wonderful blessed day.
Glad you are back with s Jaye. Glad to hear you have a Dr.s appointment.
Glad you're with us, Jaye :-)
I'll be around for a long time I hope!
IT feels so good to walk into the office and knowing I had paid off what's owed!!
My bp isn't good. It's at 190 and Karen said she won't increase the dose since my heart rate is good. She hopes the Prozac might help bring it down.
I am also switched from Lyrica to Neurotin at triple the dose.
Was given a brand new meter, test strips and lancet and she had ordered more from the pharmacy.
WHen I went to pick up the refills, the pharmacist had to make a call to Medicaid for the brand she had written wasn't accepted. So, pharmacist called Karen back and ordered another.
Boy.. at least I have caring pharmacist and doctor's nurse.
Being Kel is fuming for I was held up.. bloodworks scheduled for Monday morning.
When I got home, told him about the bp #, he was quiet.
I will be seeing a heart specialist too, as for my eye, it can wait.
Lost some hearing. And my insulin will be changed in a couple of months time.
Went through Lantus, Humalog, Novolog and Levimir.. so what's next?
OOP, six huge dollars at the pharmacy!! Thank God.
Pharmacist said, Medicaid differs from state to state and NC is much more stringent.
I am happy that God gives me the chance to heal.
So glad you got in to see the doctor Jaye.
