Problem with the pink and purple bag is that I must shop for fabric. I have some purple but it is on the blue tinge and the pink I have is more like coral when placed next to it. So-----off shopping I will go later.

Oh M I so know how you feel. It is so much easier ... just as painful though ..... when they decide it is their time. My darling sweet girl Quill (choco lab) the last dog Warren and I shared died in my arms with Diesel laying his head on her tail. Sending positive thoughts and prayers.

Well my vet was shocked when she walked in and saw Duke and I. She said what are you here for ? I said because I was told to. She just shook her head. Anyway she is really happy with Duke and can see such a difference in his behaviour. Talked to her about Diesel and she told me how to check his leg and see if it is the cruciate. I'll check it when someone comes to pet him while I feel his knees. My vet can no longer give me the elavil but she will send a Rx to the drug store. It will be much cheaper for me... bonus. The drug store is going to wonder what's up at my place as I just this morning picked up the elavil for my ears.

Streak and Sassy are going in to be shaved Oct 19. They will see if they have to sedate them or not. Their knots are in so deep and Streak is so obese he can't get himself turned around to groom himself. The vet thinks Sassy's big scab area is something she has done to herself trying to get knots out.

This blasted tooth ache is driving me around the bend. I've been using hot water and salt to rinse it plus use a fav of mine oil of cloves soaked into cotton and applied to the gum line. I helps dull the nerve.

Hope things go well in court for you Kathy. Some neighbours you've got!

It's cooling off here though I still have the a/c on. I'm having stomach problems this morning, too so I'm having a lazy day. I did find and wash more dishes. Neighbor Dana will be back in a coupe of weeks and she's bringing diamond drill bits and sandpaper

For some reason it feels like Saturday.

Got two boxes of chicken legs yesterday. Tony packed them this morning and both freezers are full and there is a big pan full of them on the stove. Happy dogs tonight. Me, too, I'll make a couple of tacos for me.

Thinking of you "M." My Jenny, the happiest dog ever will be waiting to greet Smokey. I miss her. Several times every day she would tell me how happy she was and I'd tell her how much I loved her.

Hate even the thought of a toothache.

I saw some of those cast ant hills for sale on eBay. I'd be glad to volunteer my colonies as molds.

M...I am so so sorry you are loosing Smokey. One thing I have held on too, after my daughter dealing with cancer from age 3 on, and then my Moms battle and suffering. I promised myself....and any loving pet I have...I will not make them endure suffering because of my fear
of letting them go. They have been by my side no matter what, and if that one little thing of a trip to the vet can ease their pain, I will do it. Even though it kills me..I owe them that much.

Wonder how "M" is doing

We are a bit cloudy today, but the temp is at 78F and humidity is up around 70%. Our highs all week are to be in the low to mid 80's and nights in the high 60's low 70's. I am in no rush for cold weather, Betty.

Neither am I. We are a bit warmer than you. We are still at 90 for the day.

Debbie, I could just hug you to pieces .. that was a wonderful thing to say .. gives me food for thought ..
I went so far as to call the vets office .. seems to need an appointment to bring him in to be euthanized .. could have taken him at 4:30 .. but .. I wussed out .. but .. we are thinking of perhaps Thursday .. maybe Wednesday if he hangs on .. I gave him some Elavil, perhaps it'll calm him just a bit ..

Have kept busy with laundry and cooking and yardwork ..

I really want to hear the whole story on Kathy and the neighbors and being arrested.

Marilyn, happy birthday late. So sorry about Smokey. Just remember all the great times. I always replace a long time dear cat or dog within 30 days with a new kitten or puppy. Some people think I am cold hearted but I just want to start new memories. And all the time the new additions and I are getting acquainted, I tell them about the last one that just passed and all of our tricks. Last time I got two kittens and I have never laughed so much than the first 4 months. And th dogs love them so all is well. I think these two schnauzer are our last two dogs, but I will always have a cat. The dogs are 4 and thy usually live to be 13. That would put me at 81 and I do not want to be training puppy at 81. I will leave that to our Diane.

We had 2" of rain yesterday and our temps dove down to 68. We will be back up in the 90s by Thursday. Granddaughter's wedding is this Saturday. I have two dresses being delivered tomorrow. Hopefully one of them will do the trick. Nothing like putting it off until the last minute.

I have climbed out of the dark depression hole I was in an I am so happy about that. And so is Vern. Vern is on new medicine for Parkinson and seems to be more alert and sitting instead of laying in his chair.

Forced myself to stay in bed and feel better for it.

It's dark, overcast, gloomy so I put all the lights on, lights on my fall decor inside and am shushing away the gloom.

Remember not a high end roast. Paul made it and rVed about it, Suzanne made it but it was lean,lean and didn't turn out as good, LInda did it and she also loved it.

Mother Nature sure isn't happy with something, such bad weather for many..having a flooded basement at the beginning of the year almost did me in with the cleaning, cannot imagine those poor souls getting rid of feet high water and much not covered by insurance.

Promised myself I'd try to do some quilting on the hockey quilt, not sure if Caleb is coming up for thanksgiving but would be nice to have it ready should he come.

Dental emergency here. I am ready to pull my hair out. Doc's fantastic sect got me in for a look see today and appointment for tomorrow. I have a swelling the size of a golf ball on my lower right side of my mouth. The pain is relentless and intense.
