We have had the absolutely best day!

We picked our glass for the windows we're going to make. Then we painted our frames. After that we started on the purses we brought fabric for. We worked on item for 5 1/2 hours. So cute. Here's mine

Hello there, just heading for bed..great day

I am amazed that these gals sat for 5 1/2 hrs as quiet as can be sewing away,,all 3 ended up with great bags/purses. Will take a photo in the morning..

They also got their frames painted, tomorrow morning they sand and decorate.

We are all falling asleep so it's off to bed for me

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sweet dreams.

Hi
apparently Marcel & Carolyn were not intending to move to the UK, and now intend to live in the mobile for the full year, until June 15, 2016
I slept for last 4 hours, and woke up crying. Bob made fried egg sandwiches for supper - I didn't feel like making anything..... thank God for him

mulege, Mexico

Susan - If they gave you notice that they were moving, either in writing or in front of witnesses, you may be able to hold them to it legally. Depends on your local laws but it might be your best bet to get out of this mess. hugs, katie

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I called Residential Tenancy and they said tis is wa over their capabilitye.
they suggested I can Calgary Legal Guidance. I did and left a voicemail with the intake worker re: slander. It can take up to 3 days for rhem to get back to us

Morning ..
Everything looks so wonderful .. great choice of material for the purse !
Have fun today .. if you're near Alliston, go and visit my nephew John .. he's the 'John' in 'John's pools and Houseboats" :-)
john and Debbie Elvish
Speaking od Debbie, will she be able to come up for a bit ?
We need a group photo for sure ..

Susan .. I can't imagine what you are going through .. you MUST get legal help .. trying to sort this out on your own is just not working ..

Smokey had Salmon and cottage cheese this morning, then some water, now he's tucked into MY spot on the bed sound asleep .. hanging onto that 9th life voraciously !!

Lorna has a doc apt this morning ..then we're going to do lunch at a new stir fry place, when her parents come in November we want to take them there, but, neither one of us has heard how it is ..

LK .. I called the doc's office DH is waiting on .. and .. boom .. they have his referral and he'll get an apt date next week .. we'll see ..
He had a terrible day with numb hands yesterday .. poor guy ..

Anyway .. everyone make it a good day, and, as Dianne would say ..' do something nice for yourself' :-)

I'm up too Betty.. Looks like another stellar day. Good for your travel plans Betty with your company. Is the Mandarin in Barrie? One just opened up in Kingston.

Had to buy a flyswatter yesterday. When I stopped at the hardware store I was the third person in a row to purchase a flyswatter. It seems the whole township has become infested with house flies this last week.

Well Streak is up to his old tricks so I had to banish him to the downstairs. I just don't understand how he can go for days and days using his litter box then decide to use the dining room table.I think he is just too lazy to go downstairs to use his litter box.Grrr.

M keeping Smokey close to my heart.

I heard this commotion out in the LR when I was making the bed. I peeked around the corner and there was Chaos playing ghost. He had the sheet I use to cover the recliner over him. It was not an accident. He was prancing around going right up to both Diesel and Duke and shaking his whole body. Of course he got the reaction he wanted from the other 2.

BBL to check in on all of your activities Betty. Sounds like you are having a great time.

D

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Dianne, that must have been a funny site to see him playing ghost.

Have a good day everyone.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty, I wish I was there to play too.
Hmmm lots of flies, happens in the fall, they're looking for a place to hole up for the winter.

Marilynne - Smokey is a determined guy - he's keeping close to you.....

Streak.... reminds me of my cat Baby, except he wouldn't use the litter that much. Don't know why he wouldn't...

Thank you all for your kind words re: my situation. I'm in waiting mode.
Sorry I don't say that much here, but I'm just so tired. Please know that I think of you always.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Tis OK Susan. We know it's exhausting. Hugs.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

This is a bit of my mom's tatting my daughter had. It was all yellow and soiled but a soak in Oxyclean and Era brought it right back to white. This piece is unfinished but that's OK I'm going to frame it.

Thumbnail by siliolegma
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

gorgeous, Karen!! My grandmother used to do tatting, and I have her material & shuttle..... but not sure I'll ever do it

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

It's very slow and tedious. My daughter and her oldest son can both do it. I can too but my hands just don't like that kind of work any more. It's becoming a lost art.

Victoria Harbour, ON

How thrilling Karen to get it back to white..great that you will have it framed.

Girls finished their window, I went to a quilt shop hop, have 9 blocks from 3 studio's..I will get the next 9 blocks tomorrow..when I visit the last shop I get the actual pattern to finish the quilt..the fabric shop I go to has the backing and 4 blocks as a kit so bought it.

This will be the quilt

Want to gab to you all but I is tired, gab in the a.m.

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is a nice quilt.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Gosh we are having a grand time!

After Betty did her quilt hoping we went to an Antique Shop. Had fun browsing there then on to the Market Buffet for dinner. Yummy food and great company. Now everyone is beat! Betty hit the bed shortly after we got home. The rest of us are gabbing and unwinding. We'll be hitting the sack soon, too.

Tomorrow will be a fun day flitting all over the country side. What's fun!!

Our windows are close to being finished. Betty had to fire a few more glass pieces for us and they're still too hot tonight to handle.

I've been trying to keep up with what's going on....hugs to all.

Update re: our tenants
Today I called the police about our tenants withholding our mail, and they met us at the entrance to the park so we could get our mail and deliver the Community Mailbox keys to our tenant. I told them about the slander that Marcel posted asking people in the park to watch out for us "creeping around, trying to get Carolyn alone and coerce her". As we were approaching the mobile, one of the residents blocked our drive there, until they saw the police car, then they moved aside. Unfortunately Marcel wasn't there, but Carolyn was. I talked to her (she didn't have our mail, because Marcel had done "something" with it and she didn't know what or where it might be), and ran through our whole story from beginning to end. When I finished, the officer asked if he could say something, and BOY did he..... he asked if everything I said was true and factual. She said it was. He then said that we'd been very accommodating and if Marcel were to do anything else, he would return and he would not be so nice. In fact he said what Marcel did was a Federal Offence and criminal charges could and would be laid. She was visibly upset, and at the end when all was said, I gave her a hug. She's really a gentle soul. She said her offer to help us move in and get settled is still her intent. They are definitely not moving back to the UK and anything that happens from now on will be in writing.
I just cannot trust the couple's word....... meaning Marcel and how he would make her follow what he says (he is her partner, after all).
Anyway, that's the update - we'll see how it plays out.

Time on here will be sporadic ..
Life has up and kicked Lorna .
Saw her doc yesterday, told him of her lethargy , he did blood work .. we checked it on the computer a few hours later .. OMG ..
She has a blood disorder that affects her platelets, called, ITP .. well .. they are WAY LOW .. ad .. some enzymes produced by the liver, well, they are sky high ..
Her doc phoned us with the results .. she is to have blood work repeated, and, she is to inform her hematologist .. he did get a copy, but may not have seen it.
God forbid you have an illness or something like this happen on a weekend .. you are completely OUT OF LUCK !!

Hope you have a great day 'cruisin' Betty and crew :-)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Gals and their bags
Off we go

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, you did the right thing calling police for an escort. Maybe now things will work out.

Sorry to hear about Lorna. Keeping her in our prayers.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

"M" please give Lorna a hug for me. It is terrible being told something like this and then having to wait days. Surely they must know they agony they are causing us by not knowing. Certain things do not follow a calendar, don't know what a week-end is.

Betty, the bags look great, I'm sure the gals will be proud to carry and display them. They look big enough to hold some small purchases too.

Oh Barb I know that is a pain in the rear. I just got a new little computer for travelling. The screen and keyboard snap together with a magnet. It was more this way but I would be able to replace either component separately.

Susan I hope this will now help you get your life settled. Perhaps she will be able to convince him that he must not break the law. A federal offense is nothing to sneeze at.

All praise Norm the computer whiz!!!! My keyboard is fixed and I can type away!!!! I'm thrilled.
Sending prayers for Lorna and hope these readings are flukes.!!!! It sticks getting news like that on a Friday.

Glad you had the police also Susan.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh, M my heart is going out to Lorna. And you two as well. I know this is a really crappy way to spend the weekend. I hope the can find a quick cure for this.

Susan, I hope this does the trick. You've both been through the mill for sure!

We had a wonderful day. We saw a lot of beautiful country and shopped a lot of cute places. We're about to have roast, mashed potatoes, au jus and salad. Yum! Then to the basement for our final craft project. Tomorrow we're out the door early then back to set the bubbler rock up for Betty. Spaghetti dinner with all the Canada gals, eh, at 4:00. We'll be sad to go. Betty will be glad to have some alone time again!!

What a wonderful, wonderful hostesses!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear Norm fixed your keyboard Barb.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

omg Marilynne - please send our love & thoughts to Lorna, with a big hug. I'll pray for her.....

I'm writing a letter to MasterCard right now, letting them know how their last of communication, and wrong information, let us a merry chase of emotions and stress for several days while I tried to find where they'd left our new credit card - it wasn't courier'd after all, it was sent regular mail...... and one person told me that the first night when I tried to use it to book my flight that it was because "our security team didn't know it was you trying to book the flight". arrrrrgh
The branch that received the card told me to reference them and the branch manager as saying that I should send the letter to MasterCard.

Then, I'll draft an email to Carolyn & Marcel asking what time frame they are planning to move, as Carolyn stated again that she will help us settle in when they move. We need to know so we can make arrangements for ourselves. Bob went up to Grace & Robert's to ask them what they could do as for us staying here as long as needed, based on what Marcel & Carolyn tell us.......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, you also need to tell them how much of a burden it was for you to drive to and from the airport to pay cash for your tickets.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Sounds like the 'Go So Gurls' had a great day ..
If we could make it for spags tomorrow afternoon, trust me, we would..

Lorna and I just chilled today, went to town to pick up her new diuretic .. had a good chat with the pharmacist, a lovely 'older' lady .. she herself suffers from chronic sciatics .. she gets an epidural block every 3 months .. she was quite sensitive to Lorna's plight, and, we left feeling better ..

YEAH, Norm .. glad you have your keyboard back Barb :-)

Good luck with your correspondence etc Susan ..

Wondering how Sharon, Katie, Judy, Jean .. all the DGers are doing .. you are certainly though of and missed.

Smokey continue to sleep, sleep, sleep .. DH holds him on his lap and pats him, I can hardly bare to look at him .. we just aren't ready yet .. and, he is drinking and using his box .. his breathing is rapid .. the day is coming, we all know that .. but, gosh, it is TOUGH !!

Night night

~M~

mulege, Mexico

Sorry, I have a stomach bug.

Susan, I repeat, if the tenants told you they were moving, you may be able to hold them to it. You nee legal advice, as in a lawyer. Glad the police helped.

Prayers for Lorna.

Back to bed.

hugs, katie

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Katie - waiting for Calgary Legal Guidance to call me back - likely get callback on Monday.
And they told us they were moving, but nothing in writing except for facebook chat and that's not legally binding
