Lots of luck with your dental appt. tomorrow Dianne!
best/Worse/What did I learn today?chat with friends old/new!
Betty my indigestion was heart attacks. Also throwing up and profuse sweating. Arms felt heavy one time but not every time. One time the same pain was not a heart attack, go figure. Go get it checked they can tell by blood proteins. Don't mess with it. My grandfather also was being treated for indigestion and it was heart failure, thank goodness caught by another Dr.
Thanks LK... I am not looking forward to it at all. I will also ask Doc to check out my top gums. There are 2 bone chips that wiggle themselves in and out and really hurt when I try and chew on them.
Just had to go out and stop a car trying to go down the lane to the dead end. My security detail was out so the couple didn't need much of a talking to -------when it says DEAD END that it's really true.
Betty I was so glad you were able to help that lady out. Poor thing ...... it is hard enough to cope with your cancer.I got an email today from PMH thanking me for my hair.
Absolutely delightful fall day. My American neighbours left about 6 am so it is quiet on the southern side.
Well darn this lap top is definitely possessed so off I go.
Dianne

Well I am sorry ladies but my lap top will not let me remedy the span of my post. The computer just freezes up.
D
Thanks Karen, I'm feeling fine, but thank you all for the info and pep talk, if I feel bad I would go to emerge.
Joined the grass cutting on the street, got mine done..normally I do it Friday or Saturday but rain set me behind.
Dianne, was your hair that long that they could use it for wig? It was years after I had my teeth out that slivers of bone chip would work its way out.i find Dianne she gets frustrated easily..her hubby needs major surgery so they sold their home, move end of October as she wants to be closer to her family should either of them continue with their health problems
How are you doing Lindakay, Lordy it's taking them a long time to get you a date for surgery.
Omg watching NCISNew Orleans and NCIS, nice seeing them work together..they were just standing where I stood looking at Andrew Jackson statue and church..gee I want to go back
I keep calling and the surgeons office says they don't have the referral. I call back to the arthritis Dr. and I am told it was sent. Today I told them I am tired of being in pain, and tired of the games. Send it again!
I will give it till wed. and call again.
Ridiculous lindakay
Get them to cc you on the requisition.
You might have to go and insist on standing right next to them when they do it.
Good advice LK from Betty. When I had to see the oncologist in Toronto his office contacted me and asked me to hand deliver copies of my MRIs They said things tend to 'go missing/ if not hand delivered.
Yes Betty my hair was long enough - my hair is so curly it didn't look long enough. The email said they were particularly happy with my donation as there were no dyes just gray hair with a hint of brown. They have lots of people who want something close to their own but there are not many people who will donate their hair or they have had it coloured. Just my way of saying thanks for all the care I got at PMH and of course the wonderful care that Warren received.
Barb where are you? Come out, come out where ever you are.
Dianne
If it wasn't a 3 hour drive, I would gladly hand deliver it.
Lk, are you covered by some type of medical insurance? Call them and complain about referrals not getting through. Hubs has had to do so, a few times. Usually gets things moving.
Betty - reading what you said re: sweats and pain, and what the other ladies are saying re: heart problems. PLEASE play it safe - emerg is not going to see this as something you should be embarrassed about.......
LK - I agree - complain!!
Service was lovely today - cousins, great nephews & nieces I haven't seen in a LONG time were there, as were ALL my siblings. Stan was civil to us, and Evelyn would not be hugged, but she's always been "prickly" so this is nothing new - Alice had made her promise to come. She hates hospitals, and funerals...... but she came
Funerals seem to bring out the best and worse in people Susan, glad your sis and brother were civil..
Dianne, sure wish I had curly hair, it's not a wonder they are thrilled to get yours. How is the thundering herd?
Lindakay maybe you could obtain the requisition, fax it to you son so he can hand deliver.
DH had a referral taken from our docs office on one side of the hall .. to the plastic surgeon across it, on June 17 for his bilateral carpal tunnel repair ..
I have been call ing twice a week since July .. have always maintained my composure, until yesterday !
I was again getting the song and dance about how many hundreds of referrals this doc gets, and they were working on it .. I wanted to know if they actually physically HAVE the referral .. well .. ummmm .. no, she can't find it ..
I BLEW .. DH is in agony with his inability to have 2 good functioning hands .. and the pain associated with carpal tunnel (severe) is NOT nice ..
So .. she said she was going to walk across the hall to our GPs office, and, get another referral .. I will be calling AGAIN on Wednesday ..
FOOLISH people !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a dental hygienist apt at 9am .. up early ..
Glad all went well yesterday Susan .. is your flight home this afternoon?
Windy and warm here, in for a BIG drop in the temps starting tomorrow ..
Take care all
~M~
.
1 MORE SLEEP! :-)
Betty! I trust you're smart enough to watch this very carefully! One chest pain while we're there and I'll drag you kicking and screaming to the doc!
We're leaving at 8 in the morning. Yesterday we got our material. That was fun.
Ok, off to clean my Thursday house!
Hugs all!
Yep Joyce, 1 more sleep, rest well, you will be busy gals..what color did you get?
"m" I (Dh) would be sitting my butt in the specialist office in pain so they can see how he lives from day to day, same with Lindakay..something is definitely wrong with our system?
Put out the garbage, drilled 6 glass blocks, they take up space and why when they could be something else. Lol
Got the garbage to the road, raked the grate in the ditch, on my way out to put a note on the bag I picked so they pick it up, not about to take it and pay $3 to have it picked up..should be municipality staff but township doesn't think so..
Other than that the girls will be here shortly, that's always fun
Not sure what I shall work on while they sew/paint.
hooray, Cookie - drag her!!
Marilyn - that is disgusting - it's not as though they had to go far to get the referral, and to not HAVE it? They likely have coffee with each other...... they could have found out easily enough....... July eh?
I return tonight - flight is 8:30 tonight.
When I said Evelyn & Stan were civil, I mean to everyone. They aren't always civil to anyone, but yesterday they were civil to all.
I'm waiting for my sister Ruth to let me know when she's picking me up to day for me to go to dinner & a visit today, then they'll take me to the airport tonight.
Enjoy Susan and safe trip home!
Thank you, Betty
Eileen's off to her "hospital visit" - she goes there twice a week, for exercises she needs, from when she had her hip replaced.
I'll be gone before she returns home - I'll be at Ruth's by then
gorgeous, Betty!! The girls are very talented :-)
That they are..
I agree. I wish I could paint like that.
Can I say with a good teacher anyone can. Lol
Then we need to find time to be at your place for lessons! :)
NOW that would be a great time... All of us at Betty's for painting lessons ^_^ OH YEAH!!!
You can start practicing with me, Betty! I want to learn how to paint those adorable chickadees I saw Ann have!
I know for a fact it's something I suck at. Even a great teacher would shake their head at me.
Now my hubby and youngest daughter are the ones with the talent. She makes awesome cakes but also paints and sculpts.
We have paintings from hubby's father and grandfather so that is where the talent comes from.
However if there is a gathering at Betty's....I'm in.
Asking prayers for my hubbies Sister. She just called and told Todd she just found out she has a very agresive form of breast cancer. She went in months ago for her yearly test, everything was fine. A few days later she notice a tender lump and told her Dr. He told her again, she just had a mammogram, and it showed nothing. Well she insisted she have further testing, and they did an ultrasound. She has stage 3 cancer, and will begin chemo immediately. Her name is Eve Janni.
Thanks so much.
(((((Eve, Todd and LK)))))
Thanks!
Prayers for Eve. And the rest of your family. katie
Thanks Katie!
Are you rested from your trip?
Adding prayers for Eve Lindakay, sad news
Ok, want to know where I've been since shortly after 4pm?
Decided enough was enough to, pain was a tad more severe and more towards the left, numbing in my fingers and I thought I'd put it off long enough..didn't want to croak on Joyce so off to emerge.
Talk about wonderful staff, nice doctors and being put through loops for 7hrs..2 ecg's, chest X-rays, blood sent to lab, had to wait for another ecg's and another blood test to make sure the 1st test wasn't a faux negative. Just got in tired but glad I went.
Dr. Prescribed what he called a 'pink lady' it not only numbed the pain but my moth and throat as well..a he still there but he says not a heart attack..making appointment with specialist, he says just a precaution..told me not to worry and made me promise if pain gets worse or the numbing and cold sweats persists I'm to go back
Soooo took all of your advice and likely 7 hrs well spend
Actually there were 3 of us that got to chat and learn more about each other
Big yawn, I'll sleep better tonight
Good for you, Betty. Now you can put that on the back burner, not nagging at you. Or us nagging at you.
It's 4am. I went to sleep about 9 and now I'm wide awake. Well, almost.
Thinking about Eve and how scared she must be. And so glad she insisted that she needed another checkup. Neighbor Barbara was treated for breast cancer about ten years ago. Three months after the treatment was finished she had it again. I'm saying prayers of thanks that mine was caught early. The chemo will be exhausting so be sure to have lots of light reading and movies for Eve. If you haven't discovered Janet Evonovich and her Stephanie Plum books, the are good light reading and very funny. I often see some of them at Gooddwill.
Inky Dink the puppy is fitting in with the rest of the pack. Scout has snapped at her a few times but there's not been any bloodshed.
My little patch of okra is about to start blooming. My little trees and tomato plants are doing well. Tony did his usual job of taking good care of things while I was gone. I've got more seeds to start. Got some from Germany and the adenium I got a Walmart a few years ago made seeds this years so I planted them.
So many seeds, so little time.
hugs, katie
0 more sleeps! Packing and trying not to forget anything!!
Morning everyone. Been up for awhile but moving slow.
Good girl Betty! Did you go to Barrie? A lady in the village went to Barrie to have her knee replaced. She was very impressed by the treatment she received. She stayed with her BIL and Sil.
Sending positive thoughts, vines and prayers for Eve. Is she in Texas LK?
My mouth is a hurting mess between the cankers and the tooth that is infected. Relying on salted warm water to soothe it. Just when I thought I had a handle on things in there.
Hope to be back later but I am at the will of my laptop. Yesterday I had my ISP (bell) and my cell carrier (Rogers) pointing fingers at each other.I got quite a giggle out of that but at the end of the day I know it really is my lap top that is giving me grief.
Dianne
Safe travels Joyce !
Thanks Katie, was starting to fret especially after Suzanne needing heart surgery, kept nagging at me..pressure is still there but that's ok,might be a muscle or something.
Tony is a dear, always making sure you are well cared for, lucky woman..so glad the furries have bonded. Inky Dink sure hit the lottery when he came to your home..
When do you have to have a checkup again Katie?
Joyce, no more sleeps, hurrah
Can you smell the cake baking? Potatoes cooking for home fries in the morning?
With any luck I will not burn anything. Lol
Not much to do today so I will spray glass. Light boxes while weather is nice, maybe embroider flowers on wedding quilt, that ought to keep me out of mischief
Dianne, went to Midland, just 15 minutes away, was heading there for a few groceries when changed my plan of action..the nurses and doctors were spectacular..all looked no older than Kyle and the boys..young doc held my hand before leaving and said he wanted a promise I would tout off coming in should it occur again..cutie, could have brought him home.
Cankers, yikes they hurt..this time of year is bad with cuc's,tomatoes, let's hope salt water helps..
Think you will have to break down and get a new computer
Hmmm best I check my applesauce cakes
Thanks for all the prayers. She is in Maryland, Todd's home town.
Betty, I am so relieved to hear you went to the ER.
