our church is going to give us funds for me to go to Winnipeg for my sister's funeral
Tried to use my card (expired this month) and the new one is at our mobile, but Carolyn won't ask Marcel if we have mail from my bank. I called my bank, and they'll send another card via courier to the nearest bank to me and I can pick it up and activate it either before tomorrow at 3pm or Thurs. Flight will be scheduled for Friday evening. Cutting it close, but just found out from church today, and now..... should have cheque on Thurs. Have funds which will come from DD for tenants, and cheque from church will pay for DD when it's time to give it to them, at the first of Oct.
All because they won't let us know if I have mail. If I do, it could be in their home or in the mailbox, but would take 1 hour round trip to find out......

Beautiful day out there, wish my clothes line was up, would love to hang my bedding out, hmm perhaps I can drape it on the railings, nothing like bedding that Mother Nature has dried. Must put 'put clothesline up' on my 2016 to do list.

My supper at the Battens was cancelled for tonight, I'm pleased with that, want to work in the gardens and cut grass , doesn't dry until late afternoon..in the meantime the gals and I decided to try a table runner using the die I bought so I can finish ii

Mom is coming later today, spending time till Sunday. I will take her out for birthday dinner tomorrow, actually spoke to aunt Muriel, if she is well enough spill pick her up..she's been quite ill, down to 76-78 lbs, nothing but bones ..mom and she haven't spoken in 2 months, let's hope that bit of drama is over.

Another stellar day on the horizon ..
Woke up at 5am to let the dogs out, thank heavens for flood lights !!
There IN their enclosure, sitting smack on top of the Sunflower plant, was MR. BEAR !!
He had jumped (scaled) the 4' fence .. the dogs were going ballistic INSIDE the house ..
DH was on it in his BVDs .. we use firecrackers to get them to move on ..
He threw out what's referred to as a 'Bear Banger', sounds like a rifle .. and .. the bear literally FLEW over the fence (never again to be seen) I hope ..
AND .. out went the dogs, and, Miss Lilly had a ROLL in the spot the bear had sat on .. she is now bathed.

Gonna be a busy day .. ready for a nap ..

LK .. it is a pinched nerve .. C6 at the bottom of my neck .. hopefully it'll smarten up, I have no time for it LoL
Betty, nothing much you can take for nerve pain, but, the narcotic I have takes the edge off, will only take it MAXIMUM twice a day ..

"M", mine is a pinched nerve to . My chiropractor used needles for acupuncture. 3 visits and it was gone. And don't worry bout the needles. They are tiny ones a mosquito bite hurt worse.

Townspeople said that there was one at the beach the other day..likely in this heat any berries they could eat have long dried up.

What meds doyiutake? The Tylenol 3 with codein does same for me..I try to take one only at night but there has been days lately when more is needed..says up to 4 a day but I think that's much too much.

just put bedding on deck railings, grass still a tad too wet to cut, likely another few hours so I will finish my hand sewing until then..tummy told me its hungry, just realized I haven't had breakfast yet so will go have another coffee and cereal, that ought to do it!

Bob's at an interview with Southland bus lines - for a position as a handicap bus driver. Making more $$ than last job. After the interview I called him for something, and he's filling out the application. Guess that's a good thing.
I called the bank to see if my credit card is in, so I can book my flight to Winnipeg. The airlines told me that no matter what time I book for, it's the same rate, and I could call anytime today and get on, not sure if there will be flights available on Thurs for Friday, so am really hoping either Bob finds our mail with my cc in their mailbox or that the new cc is at the bank today.
My son Daniel says if they're withholding our mail, we could have our tenants evicted in 24 hours. I don't think it would come to that, do you? nah........ But she's out of town, and won't ask Marcel if we have mail....... and he's not answering, nor are we calling anymore

Just spoke to Bob. He'd tried to apply online yesterday, but when he couldn't they said he was to come in for an interview at 8:30. He was there, and they required him to apply online so gave him a laptop to use. He tried 3x - they have a problem on their website, apparently. He finally got the application in, and is now still waiting for the interview - it's 11:15am.......

I have 2 ladies (mother & stay-at home mom/daughter) who are going to help me pack today. Daughter is picking up mom at 2pm, from work, then will come here.

Susan, if you ask the bank to replace the first one, the first one will be cancelled and not work.

I have to register a card..... this is one of those "travel" cards, so I would think whichever one I registered would work, right?
Oh, and the moving company gave us a $100 refund on our move, finally, yesterday. They didn't realize that I'd accepted the amount, on Sept 4th. It would have been forwarded to them by BBB, but guess they never looked. Very poor customer service, by a company who moves & packs, that they would be so unprofessional at moving, packing and client relations......
If there's a Miracle Movers in your city, check to see if they're the same company as the one I used, and I would not recommend you use them......

is our only cousin on our dad's side. Our Dad and Michael's both served on WWII. He was totally surprised and overwhelmed with his quilt. He said he would treasure it forever. I told him he better be using it so he could feel all the love that went into it.

Karen - that is as awesome as you are and I know he will cherish it - Bless you for thinking so kindly of him - he needs and deserves it. Hopefully this will help him get some closure on what he's suffered. Obviously not all, but some closure and love/respect he's held in for all his sacrifice.

Today, Bob went by our mobile and found a garnishment notice from the Bankruptcy Trustee. Apparently our tenants have been withholding mail from us, so we didn't know it was serious. $4k to the trustee is what's owed, and with $900 going to be owed to the tenants (when & if they move), we can't do it anymore.......

Didn't order cheeseburger, twins next door came to say they would be 7 tomorrow, I had bought them silver necklaces so when I saw their dad I asked if I could give it to them as I'll be busy with mom tomorrow..then cut grass..tub is waiting

the rent is for land, as we own the mobile.
I don't know what will happen re: possession of the mobile. They could keep it for 3 months, or abandon it - lease says if they aren't there for 4 or more consecutive days that they've broken the lease. That's our only option...... unless they surrender it.

You have to be out of where you are by end of month?

Why bankruptcy Trustee if you don't mind my asking..as I worked with them I'm trying to get my head around it to see what could be done..know it's different in Alberta but there might be an avenue worth pursuing.

They were to move out at mid-Oct, then he got nasty re: his misunderstanding and no matter what I said, how much I aplogized for both of us, and humbled myself, he was having none of it. I felt that we couldn't co-exist for 2 months in the same home, so researched breaking of lease and got something wrong. Now they're even angrier at us (all because of his misunderstanding and temper). Our only option is to live in the motorhome until they leave, and pay one rent - land rent to the city.
As for why bankruptcy last year - Feds were compounding our taxes and previous Trustee from previous bankruptcy had not filed and we didn't find out until 1 month before shredding (Manitoba was the 1st bankruptcy). The Manitoba Trustee admitted as much, but as the files were going for shredding, we lost out. Once you owe something to the Feds, and it compounds, you're kinda stuck....... it's a never-ending rollercoaster ride. I SO hate rollercoaster rides.
Just want to pay our normal bills and get on with being somewhat happy. Don't expect perfection, and don't expect much..... just a little bit, please Lord?!?!

Always amazed me, any debt to revenue canada, gust/host is forgiven in a bankruptcy..
I have never heard of Trustee being able to put garnishment, normally when 3 payments are missed it goes nul and void and any money's owed acrue interest and still owed.

Now if you miss 3 consecutive consumer proposal payments you can request it go into bankruptcy without a penalty.

Winter is not at our door yet, might be a calming thing to stay in the Rv however small as long as you stress free until you can get the trailer back.

Only 6 sleeps, Betty! Yesterday was fun. Ended up being 24 people here for the picnic. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. It was 80 with low humidity and sunshine. Lots of good food and my ice cream came out great. I sold 3 mushrooms. So any extra is great!!
Okay, Betty, I'll measure the windows tomorrow. We need to pick up material for totes/purses and E6000. (Vodka, too) anything else?

I had lunch with an old neighbor/best friend today. Gosh we had a good time. She was a school teacher and recently retired. We've decided to meet up once a month. Our kids were little together and now we both have grown grandchildren.

Tomorrow is another garden club picnic. A neighboring club always invites us each September. Always good food and a fun plant exchange. I'm taking several plants since some of our group doesn't like to dig and pot.

Not so much fun with mom Joyce, she came in raging, dropped in at aunt Muriel's and I guess she was livid with a few things, just shaking..asked me if I asked aunt Muriel to come for supper at the restaurant tomorrow night, I said yes, she said she wished I hadn't..Grrr
So now she is not on speaking term with her sister, her brother, I, well I just let things slide..
It's always somebody else's fault, you would think when you are at odds with everyone that the common denominator is YOU! Can't always be everyone else..I'm not about to tell her that but wish I could so she'd understand and in the end she'd be much happier..Big sigh.
