Next go round will be my errr... fourth attempt... I am sure they'd give me the same hardcore disability doctors.
Had a lawyer, and he was very honest. Said that my case is hard to prove as severe diabetic neuropathy never wins, as like Pegi says, as long as I'm upright, talking walking and my hands can move, I am supposedly able to work? One church member is working in the ranks of the local SS office. She herself cannot help me, and she knows how difficult it is for me to walk or stand longer than 15 minutes. I asked her whether the assigned examiners are on commission. She just smiled, so I know the examiners are encouraged to deny, deny and deny,.
My neighbour's whole family is on SSD. Young family too. Wifey had a scare wheh her bank was robbed, and she's been paid for PTSD for 14 years now.
Hubby 'claimed' to be an alcoholic, and he's on SSD but worked as a painter under the table.
So, all their three kids of course get checks.
Hubby's parents were on SSD for years too before SSI kick in. They know how to win the system.
One FBer told me that her sister was denied for 10 years! That sister had changed lawyers about three times, and the last one collected a percentage of that 10 years lump sum! Hmm...

Muggy this morning, no wonder I'm all stuffy!

Brother Ernie, for every examination I went, I used a cane. At that time, I can barely walk without one. Then at the last one, the doctor asked whether my cane was prescribed. Guess the others forgot to ask me.
I told him it wasn't, for I didn't ask my doctor to prescribe one, as I still have to pay the full amount. That jerk retorted "So, you're never prescribed one?"
It's like reading glasses, when you can buy an eight dollar pair at Dollar General, why don't you? I told him that.
Guess what? Yep, I failed.

Two teenage cats decide to play King of the Hill.
They are about to be thrown outside the minute their eyes clear up!
All I did was picking up stuffs off the floor! Who needs tv when I have their live performance.

My sis Carolyn, is in the hospital for a severe lung infection. IV drip for the next two days. It ws strange to see her sitting in a hospital bed. She's a workaholic, can't keep still for a second always moving. Nothing can stop her from going to church, even a cold. But she missed Sunday, and held church in her room!!!
I learnt something from her. Her co workers had given her a huge get well bouquet of flowers.
Each time a nurse, attendant or a technician attend to her, she'd snip a bloom and put in one of those hosp. paper cups and hand it with thanks. Oh the smiles she brought to them.
Wonder why she's popular on the floor?
Simple act of gratitude, can make someone's work so pleasant.

Thank you, Barb - being here, I feel a bit out of the loop because it's been so long since I was here last and I didn't have anything to do with anything prior, but I would feel more out of the loop if I didn't come. I had a lot of people say how pleased they are that I was able to come.

Eileen & her daughter live close (same condo complex) and Eileen & she share one car. Eileen's gone to physio, and won't be back until I'm gone. Everyone of the family is busy, I'm sure.
Ruth hasn't gotten back to me yet - phone or email. Maybe she's gone to see Glen (Alice's hubby), I don't know. Maybe Ruth is sleeping late?!?! no idea

Asking prayers for my hubbies Sister. She just called and told Todd she just found out she has a very agresive form of breast cancer. She went in months ago for her yearly test, everything was fine. A few days later she notice a tender lump and told her Dr. He told her again, she just had a mammogram, and it showed nothing. Well she insisted she have further testing, and they did an ultrasound. She has stage 3 cancer, and will begin chemo immediately.

Stage 3 is very serious prayers will be said for Eve. Come on girl fight hard don't give in to the devils work. I know a man I can talk with who will help you beat this thing.

Prayers for Eve being said Prayers also for Synda's cousin's family. My neighbor just told me she is going to sell her house, although she really wants to live alone. She has a lot of medical problems and her daughter wants her to come and live with them. To look at her you would think she was healthy. She said she doesn't want to live with any of her sons, so this is the best thing for her. She is a lot younger than I am, so once again I feel blessed.

Where is that rain they promised us, not a drop in sight. It really is cool in the evening so it is good to be out when I walk with Mandy. Of course, some days I feel like my legs won't carry me much farther. There should be spots for us to rest along the way. Met some very nice people in our journey. I can't believe how many plumeria trees I see and at one time I didn't think there were any around here. Most of the trees are large so they had to have been around here a long time. I will have to take my camera with me to get some nice shots of the nice yards.

My cousin Johnny was 50 yrs old .A friend found him this morning already gone .The police are doing an investigation as there was blood everywhere .An Autopsy is being preformed at this time .I didn't post any details on FB because it is an ongoing investigation and there are too many nosy uncaring people ,and too many that are very close and also many family members.But you all are also my family and I know you will be discrete !

I finally got a pre op date with the surgeon. Oct. 26th. But I was told to call back every few days to see if there has been a cancellation to maybe get in sooner.

Pegi, I was thinking of you and your plumeria odyssey!! You must have been greeted by their wonderful scent. Think I had mentioned before that plumeria flowers are used for Chinese funerals, so said, good ghosts are attracted to the scent!

My BFF in Houston, had stage 4 when it was discovered. She's a 10 year survivor and Anderson in Houston was helped by God for that miraculous turn around.

Once my brother was asked at the Singapore post office whether there were egg products. He innocently admitted that there were cookies made with eggs. The postal worker told him to remove them!! Lolol

Thanks LK. As to the shop closing, it doesn't make any difference to me as for two years now, I don't see a single penny from any sales. And his mother said he has been neglecting and turning down sales. She's just frustrated that he'd leave the shop at three (supposed to close at 5) then return home after 10 not willing to help her nor me.
She thinks he doesn't have a part time job, for he's always asking her for money and she thinks he's hanging around with the wrong crowd.
The impetus was actually when he demanded that she split the sale of a carport which she paid for! Yep, Kelvin has changed so much.

That is so sad! But like you said, Karma will get him!
