Suite 312. "Sweet Interruptions"

So sad how fast they move and how devastating they can be!

Please be careful.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

We are safe, just a lot of smoke. Here is a picture I took this morning on my way to "work "

Please be careful.

Oh Cindy, thank you for keeping us posted. So many are praying for your safety sister. Though I couldn't go to church yesterday, I know prayers were lifted up for California.
Please wear a mask, so you don't inhale ANY smoke. Air travels.

LK, did your new meds work?

Cookie, did you see your babies took off?

Since I posted on FB for prayers, last night I had a good night's sleep. Didn't even wake up until the meds' time wore out!! Normally I'd be getting up after two hours, in excruciating pain.
How to describe it.. like a ninja giving you unexpected karate chops to your back!
Takes your breath away first then the screams that follow. They are so painful that they totally eclipse the pain I have in my feet!!

Brother Ernie..sisters.. have a great week!

Anyone like Ramen noodles? (Jaye - I know you do!) Pizza - This is an amazingly easy recipe

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh my!!! I have tons of Ramen!! Guess what Kel's having tomorrow?
Thanks Susan, I'll share this on FB too!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

One of my good friends lost her home in the Valley fire, she had 3 acres of fruit trees and beautiful rose gardens :( but she and her animals are safe. There is a good breeze blowing the smoke away but not good for the fires :(

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I am SO sorry to hear your friend lost her home, BUT a blessing that no lives were lost.
A gentle breeze sounds good, but if it's not good for the fires......well......
The smoke has the most wide-spread problems inherent for anyone with breathing difficulties. Fires are more immediate.......

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am glad to hear that all our prayers helped your back pain Jaye.

Sorry for the loss of your friends home Cindy.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Here is an image showing where the fires have been and are now in Lake County.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

That's a lot of area....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That will wipe out this whole county and maybe five more!!
Frightful times, Cindy. Sorry about your friend, she can start over with her critters.

Yes LK, I am so relieved to have some much needed sleep, finally.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

This shows you how bad the smoke is here

They were passing out free masks in SIngapore because of the impending smog from neighbouring countries air pollution.
Your counties managers should be doing the same, Cindy.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

WOW! That is a lot of smoke.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks for asking about my babies, Jaye.

I have released 26 so far. Several have hung around to sip the nectar, but the rest moved on already. Hopefully, they'll come back to see us next year!,

Amidst sadness, fires, loss of jobs, ill healths, still new beginnings are inevitable for nature... God is still in the miracle business! Look at that monarch! Who would have thought our own Cookie would be so blessed to be part of new beginning for sometthing so beautiful!
Did you record their flight? Perhaps they have an inbuilt GPS that they'd find their way back to you for the next generation!

fires SUCK. !!!!!

Jaye, I got a nice envelope from you today :) thanks much. I have some of the same fabrics.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Great Thunder!!! How is Levi's family doing?
I know your head feels like it's in a vise grip worrying about them, take some deep breaths for yourself, sister.

They are doing pretty good considering. ... Meg is feeling better, until she does too much.

They have order a living room set, didn't say how long till it comes...

Levi and guys went through the house, he said they didn't get much out of it.

He is going to try to save bunk beds. They were Kyle's and Waylon's. Malena keeps saying she just wants her beds. Poor little bit.
It will be awhile before they recover. Takes a long time to create a home, from nothing.

They are all alive, (fur babies too) that's the important thing. And Meg is getting better. All will be well.

On the other end of crazy moments in life. ...
Just a few mins ago, I got a text from Kyle and Sam. !!!! Beginning of April! !!

What joy. Congratulation to the parents and Grandma Thunder.

You have had quite an emotional roller coaster ride. So glad it is ending on a joyous note.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear they are doing OK Thunder. And congratulations to Kyle and Sam. Your going to be a grandma again. :)

Goodness so much going on
Jayne glad you stood up to Kel. Keep up the good work, the more you show you don't need him the more he will want you. Kill him with kindness.

Sorry to be short but I m still with only an iPad, hate this thing! Ack

Morning Sue. Sounds like you have a full schedule.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

It started sprinkling here yesterday afternoon and has been off and on all night. Some places got a good drenching but not where the fires are :( But at least it's not smoky today.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I guess an little bit of rain helps?

Happy birthday Thunder! I hope you have an awesome day!

Happy Birthday Thunder!! What a wonderful birthday gift, another grand papoose!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

our church is going to give us funds for me to go to Winnipeg for my sister's funeral
Tried to use my card (expired this month) and the new one is at our mobile, but Carolyn won't ask Marcel if we have mail from my bank. I called my bank, and they'll send another card via courier to the nearest bank to me and I can pick it up and activate it either before tomorrow at 3pm or Thurs. Flight will be scheduled for Friday evening. Cutting it close, but just found out from church today, and now... should have cheque on Thurs. Have funds which will come from DD for tenants, and cheque from church will pay for DD when it's time to give it to them, at the first of Oct.
All because they won't let us know if I have mail. If I do, it could be in their home or in the mailbox, but would take 1 hour round trip drive to find out...
ah well, it will work out. It has to

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Susan how do you stand the drama I would beat the crap out of not one but two of those people As to the drive I did an hour five to fifteen minutes each way for 18 & 1/2 years I could do yours easy playing my Bob Dylan music on high.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I should be home by early afternoon. Won't be a pleasant drive, very little sleep last night. We stayed in a motel near the airport as my sisters flight was very early. There is a bar next door and a party going on in our parking lot until 2. Ah well I guess I'm just not a good traveler any more. Several days of not so good a time. I know it's me just not feeling up to this any more.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you have the money Susan.

Karen, please drive safely.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Ernie - my daughter says I'm emotional (yeah, we all know that lol), and I should take a step back from dealing with another emotional person (Marcel) - not a good mix......
Karen - I know what you mean about not being a good traveller - please be safe, and as you're tired, I really hope you're driving safely

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Home safe, uneventful trip.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you are home.

I just hear there is an earthquake in California. Pegi, Cindy, I pray it is not near you.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Glad to hear you're home safe & sound, Karen!

oh my.......first fires, then an earthquake. I'm praying that Pegi & Cindy are safe, and all their friends and family........ heck - want EVERYONE safe.... prayers being said.

Bob's off for an interview at Southland buslines - got there for 8:30 at their request, then tried to apply on their laptop. Website is having problems, so it took 3x for his application to go through. Shows his determination in getting the job, so that's a good thing. It's 11:20 now, so hopefully he'll get an interview soon.....

It's dull and grey here, cold too. Today I have 2 ladies (mom, and her stay-at-home mom/daughter) coming to help me pack.
When he gets home, he's going to load up the truck to take stuff to our storage unit.
We're going to do our level best to stay out of the line of fire of our tenants.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Lots of luck with moving Susan!
