Right now, I just want to get my tickets for Friday night to Winnipeg, and return on Tuesday. Have to have my new credit card for that. Waiting for the bank to call to say the card's arrived via courier.
Getting to Winnipeg is my first concern.

So glad to hear you will be able to go to your sister's funeral . There are good people still around. I couldn't take all that drama you have been going through without having a nervous breakdown. I'd be ready to beat the stuffing out of some people. Not turning over your mail is so hateful. Hope all turns out well for both of you.

Had to hear from Linda Kay that we had an earthquake. LOL I don't know where it happened as we didn't feel anything. Lot of people will say it is earthquake weather, but no such thing. They happen no matter what the weather is. We didn't get any more rain, but lots of dark clouds out there. I guess I should pull those weeds while it is cooler so I can sow my sweet peas.

Bob's interview went well, and they were pleased with his testing. They'll "short list" and let him know of their decision tomorrow afternoon.
Bob went to our neighbours in the Park, and is seeing if we have mail in their mailbox now.

Earthquake weather? what a bunch of hogwash...... there's hurricane weather, and other such, but the ground doesn't go by weather, unless it's freeze/thaw,but that won't cause an earthquake in CALIFORNIA lol

The earthquake was in the Gulf of California..........here is part of the story

MEXICO CITY (KABC) --
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.6 struck the Gulf of California early Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The temblor struck at 1:14 a.m. and had a depth of 6 miles. The epicenter was 37 miles south-southwest of Topolobampo, Mexico, and it was preceded by two other earthquakes of magnitude 4.9 and 5.3.

Mexico's national coordinator of civil protection, Luis Felipe Puente, sent a tweet saying that there were no immediate reports of damage in Sinaloa state, where Los Mochis lies, or in Baja California Sur on the other side of the gulf.

Well there is something going on with my mom again. She woke me up at 4 am yesterday said her heart was racing. So I stayed home with her all day. I think it was her anxiety acting up again because the symptoms are the same as a few months ago. She is so stubborn!! She will not listen to anything I tell her!! I am so stressed and depressed with everything that is going on around me I just want to run away!!!

Doug and Ron both have been spreading lies about me for what reason I have no idea other than to boost their ego. Doug has a new girlfriend already. So that tells you right there that I meant nothing to him. Ron, we were only friends and I found out he told one of my gf's a bunch of BS lies also. I was chatting with a guy and we were making plans to meet for coffee, well I found out he is interested in a gal who is one of my FB friends, they became FB friends the same day he and I did. I am at the point where I trust no one. Sure wished I could go to Ohio and spend some time with Synda :)

Today, Bob went by our mobile and found a garnishment notice from the Bankruptcy Trustee. Apparently our tenants have been withholding mail from us, so we didn't know it was serious. $4k to the trustee is what's owed, and with $900 going to be owed to the tenants (when & if they move), we can't do it anymore...

What???? What Bankruptcy? How did all this come about?

Bob has been under bankruptcy for a year, ending this November.
Because of all the additional costs (from Mike/Ker, and then from Grace/Robert) we weren't able to keep up with our normal obligations. We should have gotten notice from the Trustee, but obviously we're not getting our mail. When Bob was in the neighbourhood today, he found this garnishment letter from the Trustee. They could take his last paycheque.

Hopefully it will carry some weight with them that your mail was withheld from you.

They want $500 by end of this week, and as long as we may payments of that each week, we're ok. Anything less than that is unacceptable.
Otherwise, it's $4k to settle it all

I tried, and had problems at the original place (Ker's), then tried here, and had problems. By then we realized we weren't going to stay, so didn't do it. It would cost $85 to forward it for the year. Maybe it was because they couldn't take the credit card I use (travel, pay-as-you go)?

I did have my "gofundme" link on my FB acc't, but only one person commented on it and she has her own gofundme acc't. I deleted the link.
My family, that watches my acc't carefully, isn't even replying, so I'm not going to follow through.

Susan, it is a federal offense for ANYONE to with hold other ppls mail. You need to go after the ppl that did not give you your mail!!! I know this because my dad worked in the PO for 25 years, he was a carrier but also acted as a Postmaster from time to time. FRY their asses!!! Plus I had same problem with an ex of mine. He wouldn't forward my box of flower bulbs, so I called the PO and they sent the Sheriff to his house, lol was he even pissed!!! The Sheriff called me while he was at his house and asked me what he was picking up? I told him exactly how many bulbs etc. I could hear the idiot in the back ground hollering that I owed him money (not true) and the Sheriff said "I know nothing about that, but you are not to hold on to her mail of any kind!"

Mom is fine!! I knew all along what her problem was. She has not been taking her meds like she is supposed to, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Got home from "work" and what a whole different person she was from yesterday and this morning!

what upsets me is that I don't have my new cc, so cannot book my flight to go to my sister's funeral. Doesn't help to have the $$ if I can't book the flight.......

Cindy, you mY have to personally give them to her at schedule times. I had to with Dad, and stand there till he took them . He hated taking pills.

We got some much needed rain that has helped with getting these fires under control. Bu8t we could still use tons more.

Yes LK, you are right. I had to mark on one of the bottles that it was for her stomach. I think I am going to have to make a schedule for her because of other meds she has to take. Plus I told her to start taking her vitamins again. When she first started having all these problems she quit taking everything.

Cindy I agre with LK, men can be such bastards when their balls needed inflating. Your mother sounds like me, hate to take meds.

This is just a suggestion, don't take it badly, please.
You know our Lord provides a way out to ease our problems. Perhaps you could use that travelling funds from your church to appease the Bankruptcy Trustee? A show of faith that you are trying and hopefully deflect that garnishment act?
As much as you love your sister, I am sure Alice would rather you use the money for the living. Lord has already taken care of her, and my faith tells me that you'd see her again,
As I am typing this, my heart is reminded again when I couldn't go to both parents funerals not because of money, but the distance. Muslims are buried the next day. And I know they won't be in the same heaven as us Christians.
As I said, just a suggestion. prayers continue for you both.

Pegi, you and Cindy wil be the only ones with more months of blooms. My yard looks nothing like summer. Even the gingers that normally show blooms in September, only have TWO! Out of eight spots of ginger clumps!

Couldn't come on yesterday, as again my head went into a dark abyss.

How can people be so mean as to withhold our mail? The funds are at the church, and I can pick it up today. CC isn't in yet. Funds from the church are received for me to go to her funeral.
With my daughter's help, I'm making an email up to Marcel & Carolyn saying that we will live in the RV as long as they are there, and if they choose that can be up to 3 months (their notice time). Heating & cooking is via propane only, Electricity is by plug into the trailer. The utilities are paid for by us as of Oct 1st. Water is by water bottles (big camping blue ones - we have 2) and we will heat it via stove. We'll be fine - we do like camping, after all. We can empty the toilet somewhere, and as for showers..... well, I don't know, but we'll figure something out. Maybe our neighbours

Jaye, with the drought and the high temps my gardens look awful!! I had no pictures to post that's how sad they look. The only thing that looks half way decent is two Dahlias I bought and planted in a big pot. Even the veggie garden suffered and I kept that watered and mulched. It's really heart breaking because I had a lot of pretty flowers. If we should happen to get a good amount of rain this winter I just might get my flower garden back next year.

I just found out, at my bank (who have not received my updated credit card, btw) why my flight reservation has not gone through - Mastercard's security team do not believe the flight charge is initiated by me......... We're now on the phone with Mastercard for the third time in an hour. 1. they assured me the card is valid until Sept 30th and they made copious notes to allow the charge from the airline. 2. They said my card expired as of the 15th 3. Bob's on the phone with them now (I can't deal with them anymore.....) and he said the card has not been received by us and asked them to reinstate this one until we receive the new one - but they say the new one will arrive by 5pm - my reservation with airlines expires at midnight tonight.
The airlines have even given me a $50 credit over and above the normal bereavement credit of 30% - THEY are stepping up to the plate. Mastercard IS NOT!

Cindy, the neighbours' gardens aren't picture perfect either! Yep, we may have not a horrible summer, temps wise, but the semi drought sure did the damage. Especially when I can't go out there and water everyday like I used to.

Still too hot here, wishing for more rain. Tim finally edged my brown lawn and it does look a lot nicer. Now to get the driveway cleaned up and will feel better. Took my paperwork over to city hall for home improvements and of course I forgot a couple things, so have to get them together and go back over there. Then will see how long it will take before I can get someone to get the work done. Hoping it will be enough for plumbing plus a new front & back door. Think I'll check on my own to see how much doors cost.

I'm here, at my friend Eileen's place.
meeting with Adam, Emily, and Marshall in the morning, Michelle & my mom for the afternoon, then for dinner with Michelle in the evening. No plans for Sunday as yet, funeral at 2pm Monday, and my sister Ruth is picking me up for dinner Tuesday then will take me to the airport in the evening

Son was denied his social security disability. Mail came in yesterday and he won't be home until tomorrow afternoon. I couldn't stand not knowing so I opened his mail. He still is breathing and walking so guess he doesn't qualify. He will have to find some other kind of work, they should train him for something else.

This grant from the city does not have to be paid back. Just have to save all receipts to turn in and city will refund my money. I now have the information I needed so over to city hall again then wait to hear from them if I qualify. My income is so low I know I will qualify. But, then you have to wait another 5 years before you can ask for help again.

Grrrrrr.... That just makes me so frustrated!!

When help is needed it is usually NOW not when the calendar says it's time.

Qualifying for SS disability is rarely done on the first try and is rarely accomplished on the first try without a Lawyer.

From what I've seen, it usually takes a lawyer before it get settled. Don't give up keep after them.

I got denied two times, then my lawyer helped me get it approved. Lawyer never cost me a dime, he took his 5% out of the check.

Alice's funeral is tomorrow afternoon, and then I return to Calgary the next night (Tuesday)

We have made 14 quarts of grape juice and 24 jelly jar size jars of grape jelly. I could make a lot more of both but what would I do with it. Next we will make some apple juice. Next year when more types of fruit come on the market I will juice some of those things like peaches and pears. I will be able to use our yellow plumbs most of them stayed on the tree. A friend picked a bucket to use for wine and the trees looked as loaded when he finished as when he started. Linda did make a batch of plumb jelly for our grand kids.

Watching the football game here it is the Green Bay Packers playing the Sea Has Beens The Packers have a 7 point lead. Seattle has played sloppy unlike GB who has played a solid game up to now. Seattle has just blown any chance they had to win. Pass interception need I say more. I heard the Chinese bought the Sea Hawks and will serve them in their many restaurants.
