For two days now I had been binging. Can't understand why. Had to increase my insulin. Maybe my body needs the food? I'd raid the pantry for canned foods that my sisters had sent and when it comes to drinks, I'm overdosing on teas and coffees.
Headaches were before this.
Keep praying for one another, and angels here and lurking, THANK YOU.
I truly believe God leads the good people to our needs. Look at my own miracles. A Kindle from someone I don't even know.
Then this renewal.
Suite 312. "Sweet Interruptions"
Glad to hear you are eating Jaye.
Think I gained ten pounds a day, LK!
Sis Kathy is here! YAY!! We are having the best time gabbing and laughing! We're sitting outside and they say it's not hot....high 80s...hot to me!!

Hello Friends!!
Been busy, busy.......Glad it's a 3 day weekend I can catch up on some things. Saturday I am working in MY flower gardens. Have some new Iris' coming so I need to make room for them. Sunday will be making covers for the kiddies nap mats and doll clothes while I make candles, label and package them. Then Monday got to work on my daughter's flower garden, it's a horrible mess and not a good sight when we have ppl bringing kids. She gave me $100 to spend wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol
We are filled up for now, but will be losing two the end of this month :( their mom is opening her own small daycare so she can stay home with her baby. But we do have a waiting list lol
Sorry to read of all the sad things happening to my friends here. I think of YOU all everyday and say prayers every night.
I've got several biker friends going through health issues, one had the top lobes of her lungs removed, is home recouping but she is on a waiting list for new lungs. She has 7 cats, ad I honestly think they are not good for her health issues and my friend Karie agrees with me. But oh well her problem not mine.
Hope YOU all have a great Labor Day weekend
Oh As to Linda's Diamond 4800 bucks she earned it for 48 years she has cooked cleaned washed my clothes raised my kids and helped me in times of stress. She continues to cook clean wash my clothes work hard and wait on me hand and foot.. She is my Diamond
Well the fires are said to be 50% contained 5068 square miles so far and at least slowed in growth. Almost 2200 fire fighters still on the lines. Hope none of the fires make it to the old growth forest. What a shame at all the good trees burned. These tress almost explode when the fire catches. With the wind blowing into the thickest part of the stand it can race faster than you can run. When firefighters get trapped the lucky ones get inside a little tent like thing and the more lucky ones are spared because the fire blows over the top of them. A few years ago they found some very experienced guys cooked in there tents. The needles of these evergreen trees burn like a fast chain reaction just gathering speed as the wind plows.
Prevailing winds have kept the smoke home and we don't seem to be getting any from BC , That's ok with me.
The garden is pretty much gone and we put the plastic over the remaining tomatos to keep the dew and fall rains off them as it causes blight. Ther was a heavy dew last night and the temp got down to 45 they predicted 41.
Tried to walk a bit last night one gentle trip to the bathroom and to the kitchen and it is hurting again today. Well off to do something even if it's wrong.
Cats put a lot of dander off into the air we have two and they live outside in the shed in a room with a heater its 10x20 so they have loys of room. I do appreciate not having a litter pan to dump. The sliding door has a pc of plywood with a hole at the bottom so the dogs don't eat the cats food.
JKJ you and Kathy have a blast so good to laugh and enjoy like that. Laughter is said yo be healing. I know it lifts my spirits.
Jaye your thyroid may be out of whack ask your dr. increased blood sugar is caused by your pancress failing or two many carbs and sugars. They told me lay off the bread. Count carbs and don't eat over 40 at a time. Don't eat yellow fruit Eat all the greens you want, I know it is awful but that's the truth eat the wrong stuff and you will suffer for it. Insulin lowers your blood sugar and helps you gain wt. My stomach bypass surgery fixed my problem I lost 115 pounds and now don't shoot insulin or take any pills for it. my last A 1c was5.9 just saying try to eat greens celery is your friend Salad with chicken meat, Tuna fish. It is a matter of choices.

We are having a wonderful time. They have to head home today and I'll be sad. They took us out to dinner last night. That was unnecessary, but totally fun!
We've spent a lot of time on the screened porch gabbing. Michael is amazing with the knowledge he has of just everything! Even though he is good at pulling your leg, too!! :-)
It's been really hot here. It's supposed to cool off on Thursday. I'm looking forward to that!!
I hope you're all having a great weekend.
Ernie.....really sweet about your very own diamond!
Those are beautiful.
Looks close to our temps. We are staying around the 100 mark!
Happy belated birthday Barb! You must have had a glorious day, for you deserve such!
I am so glad that Sis Kathy and Michael took the time to make that trip to see you Cookie. How you enjoy company and you have the best ones! What no pictures?
Did you give a tour of your b'fly hatchlings?
Cindy, I want your energy gal! You deserve more than that hundred from your daughter!! She has to give you thousands for Christmas for helping her out so many times.. but I know.. you did them out of love.
Do you have a bike to ride for soon the weather will be cool there and you'd be hankering for one of the group road trips.
LK, how's your uncle? Still praying for him, and again brought everyone with me me to church.
It was a strange day yesterday as you know, I stated my unpopular opinion on FB and one member wasn't too happy about it. She and her sister were very vocal.
Kinda made others think when they said we have to make a stand for Jesus.. even after I quoted 1 Peter 2:17. I told them, in that case, there should not be a Christian soldier, for it goes against God to bear arms, and we're supposed to forgive how many times? And oh yeah, turn the other cheek.
But I did go around asking for forgiveness for those that don't see eye to eye. I rather have peace in my heart than judge.
Wow, what an expression of love for Linda! Good for you brother Ernie, showing your appreciation to your soul mate'
Yes brother Ernie, my pancreas is on the decline, and no.. I don't do breads. Anything white and has yeast.. a no no. Only his royal asswipe does. Instead of white rice, it's brown rice. Rarely do rice either. In fact I've been fussed by my doctor for avoiding carbos. So, I do some potato curry now and then! Sweet potato. I love that and that's complex carbo, so that's safe. As long as I eat a small one, with no cinnamon and unbuttered of course.
And yes, I do consume a lot of greens, including snacking on celeries. I can afford that for Kel doesn't do greens.
As for A1C, three months ago, it was at 6, that's when I lost 40 pounds, last weighed, I had lost 20 more pounds.
I think the binging was my body demands more nutrients to accomodate the stress.
I had asked whether I qualify for a bypass, that's when I had money.. doctor said I am not morbidly overweight. Should have gone to another one!
Keep up with what you're doing brother Ernie. Like we said here, we want you with us FOREVER!
But lately I have been craving for extra sweet in drinks, and just double up on the sweet n lo.
LK is right, the more stress I am under, my numbers will be high.
Another thing too, since the small breakthrough with Kelvin, my body must have been going through an adjustment! Normally I'd cry everynight, that releases stress right?
Don't do that much anymore!
Next Labor Day weekend, if I can, I'd love to visit one of my sistahs here. Karen's cookout sure looks good!!!
Waving at Susan, Sue... (Hang in there sis) Sistah Judy.. Thunder.. and special lurkers.

Hey Jaye, my Uncle is still the same. They are supposed to place a feeding tube sometime this week, as he is not eating much! They are also going to replace the drain tube in his head, as it is not working properly. The neurosurgeon said he is having post op shock, which will make one shake like he does. His surgery was 6 months ago.
Gosh, he must have an opium drip.
Please add Ida to your prayers. Her paranoia since Murdock died has been escalating.
She had been accusing the quiet neighbors of wiretapping.. throwing firebombs into her yard.. and even stole a goldfish, which Kel found later in the tank's filter.
Just now, she insisted Kel hang two posters on her gate, which Kel wisely refused to do.
They read:
"Pray for me. My neighbours, Ricky and Billy Tompkins. Father and son are trying to kill me"
The cops had been called so many times trying to calm her down with no evidence whenever she accused them of something. Now they don't even bother to come down, she had to drive to the station. It is sad, but at least she no longer picks on me.
When Billy and his wife met me at the groc, store, they both hugged me and knew that I'm not part of her madness.
What's embarrassing is, Ricky and his wife had even given me their cell numbers if I need anything, knowing Kel's on the night shifts.
Ida has forgotten that when Murdock caught the stroke, it was Mr. Bill that spread the news to us, watched the house, and Ricky took care of her lawn for free for months.
She needed help bad but refused to get it. I told Kelvin that he'd get that way if he failed to recognise that disorder runs in the family.
Sorry to hear that Jaye. Will add her to our prayers.
Thanks LK, she needs them bad.
On Friday, she hired an electrician to check for wire taps and even her tv, telling him that the neigbours put a surveillance camera in there. Now how did they do that for they aren't engineers!! He spent close to two hours, with her following him around, and he found not one single spying device. He charged her 300 bucks!!
She then said that that electrician got to be related to the Tompkins.
When I visit her, she makes sure the radio is blasting so the neighbours cannot eavesdrop! I can't even hear myself speak.
Oh well, seems the Buffkin family is a well of drama plots!
I pray someone can convince her to get some help.
Speculation here: I was told that she was removed from her home when she's a child. She was returned only after her father left the house. She refused to admit that she's been sexually abused, and you know during those days, no such thing as psychiatric counseling for the victims. Just separation and you don't talk about it.
This must be her 'escape' when the old pain returns.
No one should have to go through that. Such a shame it still happens today.
Great job on the garden Cindy!
Nice now comes the hard part keeping the weeds out.
Jaye I don't know what to say about the paranoia except glad it is not me having to deal with it.
Ernie, I sprinkled Preen then laid down newspaper then topped it off with cedar chips :)
Thanks LK, it looks pretty good today considering it's 100 outside ugh :(
Jaye if you were referring to motorcycle I left mine behind with Doug, he is making the payments on it, if you were referring to bicycle there are too many hills here, one reason we are called the Foothills. And I have not been riding enough to tackle any hills
Jaye - Ida is added to my prayers.Yes, back in those days "sexual interference" was not discussed. I'm glad to hear the father was taken away, but usually the child blames themselves for daddy being gone...... double the victimization.
Remy and all his stuff has been picked up by his owners, and they also picked up some mail for us. Tonight Bob, Marcel & I will meet with Grace & Robert @ 7:30pm. Marcel will record the conversation, and I'll take some notes as well.
I just heard that my sister Alice is in the hospital.
Being so far away, all I could do was send her a "well wishes" email through the hospital.
It's day by day for her - in palliative care, end of days.
Susan, I remember the palliative care days, but DH wasn't on it long before he was put on hospice. I pray she goes peacefully. Sad to have hose memories back, but my mind still drifts back to when my son died, that was 10 years ago. Have to redirect my thoughts a lot.
It is just too hot to even think about going out to check on plants. So many weeds in my front flower bed that you can't see the sidewalk that goes along side the garage. Son planted a few sunflowers in it, but guess he doesn't believe in keeping the weeds down.
Cindy you may not have the wheels but you'll find another source for outside stimulation, besides the gardens! Aim for a sports car, a convertible preferably!! I had enjoyed riding in Cookie's convertible!
Brother Ernie, I heed your advice, I gave up on yellow mangoes, and i started leaving the yellow squash behind. Yellow squash I had been buying a lot as that's one of the cheap veges in the groc. store, next is kale, at ninety nine cents a pound. Tired of cabbage almost every week!!
Susan, your heart is heavy not being able to be with Alice. We'll keep praying for her comfort.
Since Kelvin refused to hang up the posters, no fear of a picket line outside Ida's gate.
Your thoughts make it possible for Ida to see how contemptous it is to pick fights with a set of neigbours with stellar reputations.
Thanks sistahs and brother.
Cooked some tomato brown rice pilaf, green zucchinis and chicken cubes in oyster sauce.
Royal asswipe turned his nose up on that, but had helped himself to some when I gave him a pack of tube steaks to bring to work!! Lolol.
Oh cruel me.. :D
Not really, he still didn't get my truck fixed, so said the mechanic friend is ill. More tube steaks for him!
My brother in law, Glen is hurting pretty badly - he's missing his wife, Alice, and he's sick as well (lung cancer - going for chemo tomorrow). One of the reasons, my daughter Michelle says, that Alice is in the hospital is because with Glen being so sick too, he can't look after Alice the way she needs. She's in a wheelchair.
Sending prayers for your sister, Susan.
Thank you
Prayers for Alice and Glen. Susan, you have so much on your plate, I hope you will find time to relax some.
It hit the triple digits here, I should remember September is one of our hottest months, but always hoping it will change. Had to go to the bank today and hated to leave all that wonderful cool air behind. Always look forward to evening when a nice breeze comes up.
Alice passed away this morning - she's in no pain. Thank you for your prayers.
We had our meeting with Grace & Robert, and our tenant Marcel was here - what a gem he was. With me being as emotionally shook up as I was and them suffering jet lag, we really needed someone to step up and help. Upshot is - we stay rent-free for Sept, they gave us $400 for plumbing and Remy's care for the month, and they won't intrude on our privacy. We will be taking one of the kitchen counters and cabinets with us, as well as bathroom cabinets (medicine cabinet and a cabinet with doors & drawers). We're leaving the dishwasher - can't add it to the electrical in the mobile kitchen - not enough "oooomph" to run it off the current electrical.
We're satisfied.
whats this no dishwasher now that's painful. not much of a job to add a small circuit breaker box to the side of the main one.
Glad to hear you both came to an agreement.
Glad that's over and settled Susan. I would think a day to just veg would be good for you about now.
Ernie, some of us live very well without a dishwasher, especially when it was just hubby & I. It would take too long to fill it up and make running worthwhile. Nice when there is company but we've never had one here so don't miss it.
The dishwasher is where I store my dishes to free up cabinet space. There is just Norm and I and as you say, Karen, it is not worth it to run it. About once a month we run it (with the dishes in it) to make sure the seals don't dry out.....
I've been using the dishwasher - I like cooking and making stuff. I'm terrible for using dishes - you'd like I was a chef with a staff to clean up afterwards lol
Unfortunately, our mobile will likely not take more electrics - as it is, we can't run the microwave and coffeemaker without a breaker tripping. I'll just have to "suck it up princess" and do without. It was nice in last place and this place.
Just going over my past year - it sucked, big time (lost my church last Sept, friend in Oct, 3 friends in Jan, moved in May, July, and now Sept again), then just recently my old church contacted us to have Bob do floors in basement hall and they wanted to send a "thank you card" to Bob's bosses for him doing the floor. When I told them it wasn't necessary, the minister pulled Bob from doing it (and making some much needed $). Their old caretaker did it instead, and really did a bad job - one of the elders at the church said they were angry that Bob was pulled from it.
On the upside - we found a new church in January, and the minister there is lovely. She has been very supportive, and I'm glad we're moving back to our old home, which is much closer than where we are. Also, we've made many new friends, and found out who our true friends are.
I'm just glad this year of change and upheaval is over. I hope that going forward will be looking upwards, and I won't look back (or will try not to - I am only human after all)
Old minister is still up to his old tricks. Sounds to me like he has a few bats in his belfry. Thinking at some point the elders will get fed up with him.
It happens sometimes Susan that upsetting events seem to pile in on us. We had so many family loses one year that we decided to have a large family gathering just to enjoy each other and not have it connected to a funeral. Lacking any cause, we called it the March birthday party for everyone that month with a b'day. We have more that month than any other.
