OK, house back to normal...Pegasus still kind of in shock.
Although I really think he could feel their closeness. Yesterday he was pacing the window watching and kind of acting a bit nuts. Then this morning he started calling, Jacob!

LOL, they weren't home for an hour when the friends came one by one...
OH and Guess what! He received his diploma in the mail, it's official.

Congratulations Jacob!! Reason to celebrate for sure..bet entire family is thrilled..what is the next step Judy?

I have been under the weather. Achy muscles and hiding in bed until noon. Poor Vern actually had to get his own breakfast and coffee one morning. I think it was a bug. I have a Dr. appointment Wednesday to refill prescriptions and I am going to discus the antidepressant pills I quit taking. I might go back on them. I have felt crappy since I stopped taking them.

My garden is in dire need of attending but just to hot. My garden helper is on stand by but I have informed him, not until it cools down.

Vern is doing better now that I am back. So are the animals. No one got fed their normal meals and was very anxious for "mother" to get home.

I totally understand Marilyn's pleasure of missing her DinL. I spent $80 on a cab from the airport so I did not have to ride with my step-daughter. And she has been my step-daughter for over 40 years. Something just never change. She left a note saying her Dad required a lot of time and effort and he was not even aware of it.

Susan, hopefully you will soon be back in your home and life will be good.

We were above100 still today and I have had enough.

I don't know if it's the heat or a bug but I've been less than chipper lately.

Helper came today and brought me a gift - a puppy. Scruffy little black wiry girl named Dinky. I thought it was "Inky" cause she's mostly black. Now she's Inky Dinky." She seems to be settling in well, minimal objections from the other three.

Panicked when our thread disappeared. I'm OK now.

Hard to adjust to a new helper when I have so little energy. We had a hurricane in the neighborhood last week but it went west and disappeared. Tonight it's been cloudy but no rain so far.

Very quiet here. I went to town and did errands. Bought mangoes and chicken legs. Inky Dinky likes the food here. Just another member of our pack now.

Sharon .. ANYTIME I can have time with JUST my son and the 2 kids is great .. DDinL .. has been there, done that and knows it all .. after about half an hour of her trying to outdo everyone, I just clam up and sit like a bump on a log ..

May make a peach pie today .. have to find a good recipe .. I want the pie to not be 'runny' ..guess I could do the corn flake trick ..

another sleepless night. Dreading the time when Grace & Robert return. They're not answering my email, asking when they return (Bob drove them to the airport, and has their vehicle & keys...... so supposing they want him to pick them up, too)

Ex DIL Lisa emailed late last night, got in at 2pm, unpacked then went out for supper with the boys..said Braedon and Caleb had a wonderful summer and looked great. Promised to send me hockey photo's. This morning so I can get the hockey quilt done.

Case(s) in point .........

9am .. I call to see if Lorna can see her family doc tomorrow .. well .. he's only coming in if enough folks call in today .. they'll call me back ..

9:05am .. I call the doc who DH is going to have as surgeon for his carpal tunnel surgery .. the referral went in in June .. I have called twice a week since July and been told the same thing .."we get HUNDREDS of referrals, you will have to wait' .. meanwhile, DH is getting worse, both hands are numb .. we have only 2 plastic surgeons here who do the surgery. .. and so, once again .. batting ZERO !!

9:15am .. I call one of Canada's FEDERAL offices .. CPP (Canada Pension Plan) ..Lorna receives an amt from them (not much) due to her disability .. but, now that she is working she has made OVER a certain amount and has to let them know .. I went through a great long shpeal .. press the appropriate buttons .. get to a customer service rep, and, the line drops on their end and goes busy !!!!!!!!!!!!

9:20 am .. I call our Federal MPs office to complain re the difficulties with CPP .. get an answering machine !!

9:25am .. I took a valium !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In need of the prayer warriors. My soldier boys house burnt last night.

Girls are fine, now with babysitter. Meg is in the hospital. We don't know much. Levi is away. The military was able to contact him. He is on his way, as are we.

We do know she stopped breathing a few times, and is now sedated.

We spoke to a friend of Meg, he said the house is a total loss.

Prayers please.

I am somewhere between numb, and freaking out.

Try unplugging it for a bit, then start again.
Make sure no one turned the monitor off.

Had mine go not long ago "M", they are fairly reasonable right now, guess due to kids returning to school. Would imagine hock shop would have them as well

Like Lindakay said, maybe the cord got unplugged or something got pushed and the button shut off was affected.

Busy day with the gals today..June's bil is in last stages of cancer..started to gab, each from experience, re last days and about funeral arrangements, brought some memories back

Then I emailed Linda, rarely a day or two goes by that I don't talk to her, got this report

am so exhausted and sore and tired!!!

My life has been upside down since June 26th. We spent $6000.00 Canadian since then on trips. Two to Missouri as David's bil was dying, then our trip to the states in July! each one cost us $2000.00 each. Then the day we got home from our trip to east coast, storm blew down our fence, costing rhonnaLee $2500.00 and Dave and I $2,500. We are having it replaced this weekend.
My grandsons father died (Julie's ex) yesterday, because Michael has never dealt with death and only child we rushed over..Michael was beside himself, couldn't stop crying, he found his dad who had been dead several days when he dropped in for a visit..his dad was 50 ,had all kinds of ailments.

We didnt realize the body was still in the bedroom, there was a police officer sitting at dining room table as he can't leave until doctor , coroner and funeral home arrived. It took over three hours for them to come. When they left the smell in bedroom was not pretty also bodily fluids left on floor so Julie and I cleaned it up. So I did not sleep very well my mind was racing.... I hope September is better.

I heard from the moving company - they will compensate us $100 for the horrible job they did, and charged us $1100+ for. Ah well, tired of fighting them - it's been 1 1/2 months.
Katie - I know you have a lot more strength than I, to fight for your rights - good for you!

Very difficult to prove it was done when moving in the courts.

That was Linda's post, between operations, dave's operations etc she sure has had a lot to cope with..not sure why her house insurance isn't replacing it? Likely in the end re premiums she is better off doing it themselves.

Keep checking for news from Thunder, likely we will not hear something until tomorrow

Betty - I am so heartily sick and tired of dealing with the moving company that I will take their $100 compensation and concentrate on other things - our current residence, for one.
Was never intending on taking it to the courts.
